The adulterous woman was one of many. Singled out from the many to be an example for the many. Not of what others can inflict upon you for your crimes, but as an example of what God has prepared for you through His Son, Jesus Christ. Note worthy and deserving of attention is the example of all the others present. Not why they brought the woman before Jesus, but why they left her unharmed with Jesus. What she did, and they did pales to nothing in comparison to what He did. This particular scripture is not about the woman nor the folks that brought her to Jesus. This scripture, as is the entire bible from cover to cover, is All about Him! Amen?

Let's start with this we will all be changed in a twinkling of an eye, then there is two type of bodies celestial and telesterial but then Jesus says, even the Son of man which is in heaven. He was right there alive speaking, So I'll let Jesus answer it verse 12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? Even more so Jesus hadn't died yet so how did he ascend before he died. had Jesus come down before and returned and all other like Elija never ascend to heaven but were changed 1st, do we go to heaven when we die. faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of thing not seen, now we see through a glass, darkly, and we know in part but then I shall know even as I am known, I guess we'll have to wait to find everything out

Maybe thru scripture you can show her your concerns but yes you have to for her soul's sake, but what is a cult is it someone who disagrees with your beliefs. It's a hard thing to convince someone what they truly believe is wrong. I'd pray and fast 1st and seek God and then others for help. Remember Jesus said if you remove the tears some of the wheat will be removed as well, Paul said no matter why they Pearch Christ crucified Christ is preached whether it be of ill will or of good will. I'd study and get prepared 1st. Let me add all Churches teach differently but if Jesus is taught according to Paul's Gospel of peace and good will towards men then differences in doctrine doesn't mean it's a cult persey.

    Thank you Adam,

Your response is helpful and makes me think more on this topic. I will research more on this. I am not one to think that I don't need the input of other believers in understanding spiritual matters from Scriptures or from life situations.

We are a "body" and so, corporate. The Holy Spirit is given us individually for personal edification and to the "body" corporately to build up the church. That is why we are taught to build one another up in the most holy faith. We need one another.

In my view, anyone who thinks that they do not need the input of other believers because the "Holy Spirit is their teacher" are missing the meaning and purpose of the body of Christ.

    God bless you today.

    Thank you Jesse,

I agree that these are expressions of the Holy Spirit to and in us. I have noticed in many instances that people are seeking the gift more than the Giver and thus focus more on the experiencing manifestation.

This can lead to one believer almost abusing another believer in supposedly operating under a "gift" such as tongues, word of wisdom, word of knowledge with the one supposedly exercising a gift wounding another believer because it is done out of pride or an air of superiority over another. I have witnessed people who haughtily speak a supposed word of knowledge to someone else as a way of criticizing another or putting another down; other times the person speaking something personal about another's life with a supposed word of knowledge that is untrue, and then the speaker is not open to hear that they spoke wrongly and not by the Spirit, being just a matter of one person assuming something about another.

So, I am fairly wary of people who go around "speaking word of knowledge" to like some sort of "drive by". To speak for the Holy Spirit is a serious and somber thing to do, and believers should be prayerful, cautious, and loving about doing such.

But I do think that believers can exercise the word of knowledge or word of wisdom properly. In the case of Nathan confronting David about his sin with Bathsheba, Nathan may have known in the human sense about this sin or he may not have known but the Spirit revealed it to him. If the latter is the case, then that would be a word of knowledge delivered (by Nathan) correctly to the person (David) it was intended to be spoken to.

I so appreciate your take on this subject. It is helpful.

It is important for all of us believers to remember that we represent our Lord in our interactions with others, so we should be humble, thoughtful, and looking to the interests of others when we speak. I will research this subject a bit more.

2+2=4 they were spiritually still connected to God, was it even Adam saying it or just a commentary or statement by the Holy Ghost who wrote God's word.

    1 Corinthians 13:12

"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

Some day we will know everything but now we only know part of the full account. If you knew, how will it change anything as to being saved or add anything to salvation? Faith is believing God

She sleeps, the Bible say when Christ appears the dead in Christ will rise, some believe in heaven, but the Bible calls it sleep. But many believe you go to heaven or hell. but either way you believe it's not final there is a second death which is, this is our Hope in Christ's return that the dead in Christ shall rise to eternal life with God. I am so sorry so trust and believe in God through Jesus Christ.

    Thank you,

In this Scripture it separates out these two along with other manifestations of the Spirit, so it seems that it is important to understand what each is and means.

I always appreciate what others responses say to me, as I think that it is always good for believers to share understanding of the Word with one another.

But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

Is God real, is Jesus real, is the Holy Ghost real, is God's word real. It was a vision from a man who lived 2000+ years ago so how would he have explained say an airplane or a car or a rocket or missile. It all depends on whose interpretation of it is. but we know God's word is spiritual and we are carnal, but I can tell you this whether real or symbolic the destruction and the pain and suffering of God's wrath will be real and God swore the disobedient would suffer His wrath. God's wrath is what we are saved from, spared from when we are saved.

I love revelations it makes me want to do better, serve better and not fully knowing everything is why, the fear of the Lord leedeth to salvation.

The devil, is the simple answer the other is God had to redeem the world thru Christ and satan is at war with God until all is redeemed. Some of it is our sins for the wages of sin is death, you reap what you sow, you do bad the bad things things be fulfilled. The other is sin is passed thru the blood and multiplies by each generation. When lucifer rebelled, it set in motion what we are seeing, lack of faith and obedience, and there are measures in God's word that a believer can avoid sickness, diseases, and evil. Ways to be healed, ways to avoid the evils of the world but one has to read, study, and know God's word fully. 2 Corinthians 13:12 Study to show thyself approved unto God rightly dividing the word of truth, fasting and prayer as well. people blame God but it is sin not God, God knows the 1st death is not final thanks to Jesus and that is why it's called sleep and was called sleep before Christ as well. Search suffer, suffering in the search box on the kingjamesbibleonline.org site Paul wrote Romans 8:18

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."

    1 Timothy 6:20

"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:"

Because science says that, but the bible shows around 6,000+ years Matthew 1:17

"So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations."

You have from the beginning to the flood then the 2000 yrs since Jesus was crucified as well. Now before Abraham you men living 8 t0 900 years.

So if a person wanted to be biblically learned in the age of the earth you can study it in Chronocals where the genealogies are listed from before the flood and the age of each person.

Science is based on man's theory 1 Corinthians 3:19

"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness."

So does it matter, you either believe or you don't if you do believe then God's word is the authority remember man doesn't believe the creation, they believe a large mass exploded and trillions of perfect round planets, moons, and stars came from that explosion. Hebrews 11:1

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

A believer's source of information, beliefs, and opinions is God's word. For out of the fulness of the heart speaketh thy lips. Read God's word, for faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God

    Hi Donaldg,

This is interesting and edifying if studied, Matthew 17:1-13 Mark 9:1-13 and Luke 9:28-37. Your question did they see it or were they asleep? They went up to a high mountain and they were gone for a least a day maybe more and in Luke 9:32 they were asleep, but they awakened, and it says they saw. In Mark 9:4 it says they appeared unto them and nothing about sleep.

In all three Jesus transfigured before them and they were awake, and in all three Jesus tells them not to tell anyone about this until He was raised from the dead. This they did not understand because that part was hidden from them, Mark 9:10 Luke 18:31-34, His death and other things were hidden from them until He appeared to them after His resurrection, Luke 24:44-45.

You asked were they asleep or did they see, the answer is in Matthew 17:9, it was a vision, horama, spiritual seeing, a supernatural apparition, same as John, when he was given the Revelation of Jesus Christ. There is a lot in these verses, like Mark 9:1 before Jesus took Peter, James and John to the mountain.

    God bless,

With reference commentary in Mark 2, specifically the comment which says " sin is the cause of all our sickness and pains" I understand Job was an upright man yet still he suffered. I dont think all suffering is because of sin but I am kindly asking for someone to shed some light on this? Thanks
