Thanks Bro Dan. My other one finally would not even turn on. So I have been trying to use my older I phone which has really small keys and screen. Was frustrating. So, had my birthday last weekend, and got a new laptop. WooHoo!

Being retired and still need to rest my aching back throughout the day. I bought a new laptop a little over a year ago and it has been so helpful as I have to pass time in my recliner so much. I was able to participate on this site and to search many topics of many sites to increase my knowledge of God's Word and work throughout history. Been quite fruitful for me. So, not being online much this past month or so has been a bummer. But I am thankful we were able to buy a new laptop.

I am filling journals with my findings and thoughts. That way, I can reference these when I wish to respond to someone's post here or speak with someone I know when we visit. i don't go out much because of covid and only meet with a few friends and family members. God has kept me well from viruses since March of 2020, which helps me control my asthma without exacerbations.

I am glad to see you back on the forum. There are a handful of folks we haven't heard from for a few weeks. You were one of them that I was wondering about. I have been praying for these posters and hope they come back to posting soon. I appreciate hearing their viewpoints and am helped by their contributions.

    Be blessed today, Bro Dan.

    Hi Charles,

My understanding is that the earth rotates on its axis producing the effect of day and night as a point on the earth will be facing the sun for day and not during the night as the earth rotates. The earth also orbits the sun. It takes a little more than 365 days for this orbit to be completed. We have a leap year every four years to account for the extra accumulated minutes over the four years.

    Hi Charles,

I think that David had 8 wives that are named in Scripture. But He did have other wives and concubines. We do not know how many. Solomon had 800 wives and concubines.

    Sister GiGi,

Thanks for responding. Recently, family and related issues have been keeping my attention. Although, I try to check in here periodically, and read many posts, but regrettably, I don't always have the time to give response.

Glad to see you are a regular here, love your posts, and glad that you are sharing God's Words!

    God Bless.

According to scripture at the end of Revelation (chapter 21 and 22); the heavenly Jerusalem descends to earth; hence it becomes united as one and the same in essence. We have the earlier verses such as 1 Cor. 15:51 about the rapture and Resurrection occurring first; as an escape from the wrath which shall come in the Tribulation; otherwise referred to as "Jacob's Trouble". After this; we have the Millennium period when the heavenly city is suspended above earth (no doubt interacting with earth and moon's gravity). The very real physical changes of mountains being abased; valleys being exalted ( Isaiah 40:4 stated in reverse order) indicates the topographical changes due to this gravitational force; and no doubt Isaiah 66 indicates how the opening to hell will be brought forth to be observed by all which will exist in a peripheral area around the city where at that time there will be the greatest height on earth in heavenly Jerusalem once Christ lands on the Mount of Olives. Eventually; after the Millennium period there is "no more sea" according to Revelation 21:1. The elements which are said to burn up in 2 Peter 3:10-12 show the day of the Lord at it's finale. (It would seem since other verses in Peter state 1000 years are as a day that the Day of the Lord is the period between the Tribulation and the Great White Throne Judgment in its entirety).

In any event; we need to establish the right standing with God in order to enter the Kingdom; namely true faith in Christ now and the resulting indwelling of the Holy Spirit which is the sealing of the down payment as Ephesians and other verses indicate. We have in a sense already died to this world and have gone from death to life if Born Again; because the process of sanctification leads to glorification as a "done deal" ( Romans 8:28-30). There still will probably be a planet where the Heavenly City comes from that may be the whole heaven as it were. We will rule and reign with Christ on earth as well.

    Hey Dennis,

Satan is permitted, for a time, to rule over the majority in this world as we see when he tempted Jesus, Luke 4:6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

We see again Satan who deceived the whole world when he is cast down to earth permanently, Revelation 12:7-9. He then gives his power, his seat, and authority to the beast over the world, Revelation 13:2. But Satan is limited in accordance with God's will and he dwells in darkness and that is the boundary of his territory. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

That is why we must do as in Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

If we walk in the Spirit and the true light is in us, darkness will have nothing to do with us, we have victory in Christ. The time is coming when Satan is cast down and gives his authority to the beast, those of us who are still living will see the darkest time and go through it, Jesus does not return until after the tribulations of those days, Matthew 24:29-31 Mark 13:24-27.

So, walk in the light and not in the manners of the world where there is darkness.

    God bless,

    Udodirim,

Isaac was unhappy with Esau because Esau did not wait to take a wife from the family of Abraham back in Haran. Abraham's line was from Shem. Esau's wives were from the line of Ham. It seems that God must have designated the lineage of Shem to be favored and through whom He would work in history. We really don't know, but it was important to Abraham and Isaac that their sons marry a kinsman, not women from the tribes of Ham, who lived in the land of Canaan.

In this chapter; we have one of two infamous commentaries with a detailed description of Lucifer (see verse 12 for specific reference). The other passage in Ezekiel 28 gets into further detail of the "anointed cherub" and his downfall to what is now Satan. There once again; as in so many other prophetic passages in scripture a statement about a human emissary of evil (here no doubt the Antichrist or the "King of Babylon" as quoted in verse 4). He is also referenced as "the Assyrian" in verse 25. No doubt certain previous fulfillments from verse 28 to the end of the chapter with Palestina were fulfilled when King Ahaz died; but the current Palestinians also will face future judgment as earlier passages in Isaiah and elsewhere indicate.

The time element as to the destruction of Antichrist and the False Prophet who will go to judgment in verses 16 to 27 clearly comes before the casting of Satan himself to hell where the "Beast and False Prophet are" at the end of the millennium as stated in Revelation 20:10.

That section would be in verses 12 through 15 in this chapter as a cross reference. The actual brutal world dictatorship mentioned in verse 6 is followed by those in hell in verse 9. The kings of the nations could be also indicate the many nations in Ezekiel who are observing the same thing from the Kingdoms of earth in hell in Ezekiel 32. Those kings of the earth who are imprisoned could also be referred to here in hades awaiting final judgment in Isaiah 24:22. In any case; those who are part of his system will no longer build cities (verse 21); and Revelation discusses all the cities and towers falling. In the mountains of Israel the "Assyrian" will be put to an end (verse 25 and 26); and the living as well as the dead will know it. The section mentioned in verse 12 through 15 shows the original sin of pride and self worship that led to Lucifer's downfall; the end result being judgment after losing his place in heaven; heavenly realms; then the earth

Good afternoon Bro Dan, I was wondering about you since we hadn't heard from you for a while.

It seems that the topic of baptism comes up on this forum every 3 or 4 weeks in the past few months. It usually gets a fair amount of exchange among posters. I do think that is a good thing because someone new has asked a question concerning this topic and the site does not keep prior posts about this and other topics very long.

Thank you for your stand on this. I agree with you. I just cannot brush away the commands of Jesus on this as I have not found a place in the NT that explicitly says that baptism as these apostles knew it at the time Jesus gave His command (water baptism) was ever rescinded or replaced with the "baptism of the Holy Spirit". But many on here will present their rebuttal on this like in the past. It is important to speak to this. So thank you.

Praise the Lord! Glad to be able to get back into Exodus now that I have a new laptop! Thank You LORD GOD!

In this chapter, God speaks again to Moses. He explains to Moses that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew Him as Almighty God but not as YHWH (I AM WHO I AM). God reveals more of Himself with each name He gives of Himself to those He chooses to reveal it to for the purposes He wishes to accomplish in the lives of the people (person) He will work in and through. Here, God is saying that He is the same God that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob knew; that He is the same God going back to the beginning of time, and eternally before time, and eternally forward. With Moses' background, He may not have been taught by His Israelite parents and community growing up. His knowledge of God must have been rather sparse when he fled to Midian at age 40. His father in law, Jethro, was a priest of the Most High. Now Moses was meeting with God and given the name YHWH. Maybe God needed to assure Moses that He was Almighty God, Most High God, Elohim, YHWH as the Only True God. In a world of polytheism, Moses may have thought these names indicated different gods. But In this chapter, God is saying He is YHWH, also known as Almighty God, Most High, Elohim. Moses was learning about God as he went forward in the work God was charging him with. It goes to show us that we do not need to know much about God to turn to Him and be saved. He will lead us in our discovery of who He is and what He has done as we walk in faith and obedience. God explains how He will be the God of the Israelites and they will be His chosen people according to the covenant He made

The remainder of the chapter is a a genealogy showing Moses' descent from Levi. Also, I names the male descendants of Reuben, Simeon and Levi (Jacobs first three sons, born to Leah). These men were to be leaders as God leads the Israelites out of Egypt by His mighty hand go.and outstretched arm. He will strongarm Pharaoh into letting his people

    Hi Dennis.

    Ephesians 6:12.

Just wanted to bring clarity to what I posted and what has been presented. I used 2 Corinthians 4:4. You see the work of Satan that hinders the mind of most of the world.

All the blessings mentioned in the other post is offered to the "whole world" but few will receive it. Mathew 7:13-14.

The Lord is calling a people OUT of the world."His Church" starting with the Apostles who was to be a whiteness but to be separate from the world where Satan is the prince.

Here is just a few scripture references of the Lord and our relationship to the world as we stand.

    John 17:9-16.

    John 12:31.

    1 John 2:15-17.

    John 1:6-12.

In Revelation-12:9. Scripture says Satan deceives the whole world. You see by then the church is taken out of the world Gods children Will be with him, They're children of the light. Satan is the ruler of darkness. Ephesians 6:12.

When a person is not born again "Born from above", He is what is called "In the flesh" and that flesh is controlled by principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. His father is the prince of this world! Satan rules in his heart.

The Lord came to give you a NEW heart and a new spirit as he promised the Jews in Ezekiel 36:26-27.

    More references:

Beginning with Luke 4:5-7. Here you see Satan tries to temp Jesus to bypass the cross where he will bruise Satans head and have the final climax in Revelation.

Did you notice, Jesus never refuted satans claim?

This is why Paul stated this in Romans 8:19-22.

This is why Abraham pitched tents looking for a land who's maker is God.

Peter says we are strangers and pilgrims.

When Christ come set up his literal kingdom he will rule with a rod of iron and rule in mans heart.

    That has not happened yet.

    God bless.

In this passage; it would seem that the "sanctified ones" who "rejoice in my highness" would be none other than God's Resurrected Saints arriving toward the end of the Tribulation; to follow in the destruction of Babylon following Christ's triumphant return where He alone will "trod out the grapes" as shown in Isaiah 63:3; and also indicated in Revelation 14:9. There are; no doubt preparatory stages for this; for even in the sixth seal judgment of Revelation 6:12 we see the knowledge of the peoples of the earth of the judgments of both the Father and the Son; and events similar to verse 10 of this chapter. Other verses such as verse 13 could be both seal judgment earthquakes and the later one which comes at Babylon the Great's destruction or indeed at Armageddon. It would seem that there is a destruction of a literal city first; then the whole world system later. Armageddon; the gathering together of all nations also will be associated with people from one end of the earth to another being killed at around the same time as well. Whether the USA is indicated; or what seems to be a new planned mega-city in the Arabian vicinity (30 times the size of New York City run by drones is the claim); we see a push in that region of the world for an ecumenical unification of the 3 monotheistic faiths in the cards being planned by the Pope and others in short order. Still other verses would seem to indicate that Israel's still greater prosperity in gold and silver; and worldwide trade is yet to come-this is probably bolstered further by the tremendous natural gas resources as yet untapped due to conflicting claims of ownership by surrounding nations. The recent Gulf States plans for economic cooperation with Israel and the Saudi's not far behind is another indication of the likelihood that the geographic region of ancient Babylon may once again become a reality as to being a major area of trade. In any event verse 11 and 12 show the worldwide end of the age judgment

    Hey Jerry,

It means Gods dwelling place, He will Himself, not just His glory in a tent or a building but dwell with us and we will see His face. Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. God and Jesus will be the temple, Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

    Michael,

Jesus was baptized, and so were all of the original apostles, and they were submerged in water. If, for whatever reason one can't be submerged in water, for medical issues or other true concerns, I believe God will know this, and understand. But, to just say - no I'm not doing it, is not following God's commands. Like saying the thief on the cross was not baptized and was saved, so I will do the same, does not honor God's command that we be baptized, and it is a mockery.

Jesus instructed his apostles to go out into the world and baptize:

    Matthew 28:19 Context

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

If we believe in what Jesus states in this scripture, and much other scripture, yes we must be baptized.

    Read and believe.

Sin doesn't wave a banner in our faces and proclaim itself with flashing neon lights and a marching band . If it did it would b very easy for us to spot it and avoid it . The serpent was a subtile creature , it mixes the truth and a lie and slides up to us gently . It's a seducer . It creeps into our thoughts and words and then justifies itself to us and lulls us into thinking we r not doing anything that's too bad . It doesn't matter if we....and then one step down leads to another step down . Before we know it we r sitting in the dark by ourselves wondering where we went wrong . We must focus on getting the basics right . If we cant get the smallest simplest things right then we have no chance with the big important stuff. How deep in the world r we ? How do we view and speak to others ? How much do our possessions mean to us ? How much time do we spend thinking about the Bible and the words in it ? How often do we thank God for His blessings towards us ? Sin is like a slow growing vine , it slides around us slowly and gently and wraps us up in what feels like an embrace but it's really a death grip . It's a giant green anaconda and it will crush the life out of us if we don't fight it anew each day . Get the basics right and fight every day in order to not allow our own sinful inclinations to get the better of us . If we stop fighting we die.
  • THE FIRST ARK AND THE SECOND ARK - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
Jesus is the New Testament Ark.

Noah worked daily on the Ark and preached to the inhabitants of the town near him; they asked him why he was building this gigantic boat in a landlocked area, that had never been rained on yet?? It misted, but didn't rain.

Only 8 people were on the Ark, when it began to rain. Everybody outside the Ark died in their sins and unbelief.

Jesus is the 2nd Ark. We must be as in John chapter 3: born again. Final judgment is coming to this earth again. 2 PETER 3:10

The world says we are experiencing Global Warming, but that's not true. The Earth is preparing for the SECOND COMING of Jesus Christ to get the people who have received Him as their LORD AND SAVIOR. He's going to take His believers to Heaven (in the blink of an eye). Millions will suddenly disappear: children too.

This has been FORETOLD of in the Bible for thousands of years! If we miss out on it, you will be OUTSIDE OF THE ARK, AND UNABLE TO GET INSIDE.

First Ark with water; Second Ark with Fire. But before the earth is cleansed by fire:

Mankind is going to destroy with their nukes, and weapons of war. The Antichrist will kill 1/3 of the population of earth. The "stars will fall" (asteroids), the water will be poisoned with radiation. People who take THE MARK of the Beast in their hand or forehead (to get food) cannot possibly get into heaven. They will die eternally.

God is going to cleanse the earth of all of mankind's scars, pollution and damage to it. He's bringing Eden back to earth.

Anything that man did to earth will be removed. Only people will live on it; who CHOSE to go with Jesus. Satan will be locked up in hell. No evil will be in New Jerusalem; or in the New Earth. Ever again.

Life is millions of choices. Choosing Jesus is the most important one. Don't chance being left behind. Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2 Timothy 3:13-17

    Matthew 25:11-12

Please please listen to this preacher? Choose to go with Jesus. Pray the prayer now.

    Dear Dennis;

Scripture does say that Satan is the God of this world, however, Scripture also says that all other gods are false because God alone is the only true God. Therefore, Satan does not own the earth nor have dominion over it. The earth belongs to God alone ( Job 41:11; Ps. 50:10-12)

God is ever sovereign over all creation. As the Sovereign Lord, He is the ultimate authority of all He has created, even Satan. God rules creation by His absolute power and wisdom. No other being can overrule Him nor out smart Him. Satan is allowed to be at work in the world for the times that God determined and for the eternal purposes of God.

God's sovereignty allows us to have comfort and assurance in Him as Lord And King overall beings and things He has made.

We know that evil will not triumph over God. We know that God's plans for those who love Him will be fulfilled in the best way.

God is the ruler of history, directing it to His intended outcome. Nothing happens that surprises God or catches Him off guard.

We should be so thankful and relieved knowing that God is in control of this world and the lives of all beings, including Satan. He is present In All of creation and in every situation to work out what is best according to His eternal perfect plan and redemptive purpose for creating all things. We can trust Him to be faithful to all of His promises. When God takes us to be His people He does all needed for our salvation. He fights our battles, blesses us, disciplines us, loves us, and stays with us.

God's sovereign Lordship is deeply personal. It involves each and every creature and God is great enough to rule every and all wisely , lovingly, justly, benevolently, righteously, and immutably. We can trust Him wholly. We can rest in Him. We can cast ourselves upon His mercies. All of our worries and cares can be released to Him because He reigns supreme nigh and day, 24/7 everyday as long as we are in this life and for all eternity we will be safe and secure in Him.

Noah and the Ark were a type of Christ to come a type of Sovereign Salvation... God provides the way and means of Salvation, He brings it to pass and completes it and Noah by faith believed God and was saved.... all who were not inside of the Ark perished. Just as Salvation is still by faith we look to the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation all who deny/reject that gift will perish in eternity in hell separate from God... i hope this helps God Bless....

After being born again by praying to receive Jesus; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

Go to the link on the red page: Become A Believer, and work through the Bible teaching on how to become a follower of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is your Comforter, your Helper, and Your Teacher. As you read scripture, every day, ask Him to help you to understand how it applies to you now. Start in the Gospels and head towards Revelation. Every time we read Revelation, we receive a blessing from the Lord. (Chapter 1) The book of Isaiah has many prophesies about Jesus. Before He came to earth to save His people (us). He promised_ he fulfilled each and everyone prophesy. We can have confidence that He will fulfill what has been set down and recorded.

He will draw close to YOU, if you will draw close to Him. If you sin (we all fail sometimes), read 1 John chapter 1, chapter 2:1-2, all of it truly.

1 John 3:11. We can't fellowship with sin anymore. It takes effort to cling to Jesus for our guidance. Find a BIBLE teaching Church; even if it's on the FM radio.

Coming by here is a way of fellowship. Everyone loves to share. Just always compare what you hear, with scripture.

Ephesians 6 tells us who the real enemies are, to our walk with God. We all get opposed by the devils. Say what Jesus said, in the Gospels.

Brother Charles, My very first statement in fact does state that during CHRIST JESUS's crucifixion, HE did bleed HIS own blood and HE did die for our sins. My point disagrees with many who erroneously believe CHRIST dipped HIS vesture in HIS own blood which HE shed on Calvary's cross. This is their interpretation of the expression, "HE (LORD JESUS) was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood" ( Rev. 19:13).

This blood on HIS vesture is not HIS own, but rather that of HIS enemies of whom HE slays (v.15).

CHRIST shed HIS blood to save HIS people. HE did so during HIS crucifixion. But the context of Revelation Nineteen is not a context of vicarious sacrifice, but rather of war ( Rev. 19:11), bloodshed (cp. Rev. 14:20), and death ( Rev. 19:15 & 21).

    Hey Jerry Donald Stoller,

I am sure many may disagree, but I have not found any scripture that says outright we will be taken, or we will go to heaven. Many uses 1 Thessalonians 4:17 as the church meets Jesus in the air and are taken to heaven, but this verse does not say where we go after we meet Jesus in the air.

Psalms 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

Revelation 21:1-3 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

The saved eternal life will be as from the beginning, on earth, but it will be made new.

    God bless,

The sun doesn't rotate around the earth at an exact 24 hrs that's why they have a leap year but who knows if it corrects it exactly or not so over time the season could change. I do remember something about the seasons tho maybe in Thessalonians 1 or 2
