The Bible the entire bible, Isaiah 58, but obeying and doing what God's word says to do James 5:14

"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:" Now finding a true righteous elder is the thing.

    1 Peter 2:20

"For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God."

"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution."

    Romans 8:17

"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

    Philippians 1:29

"For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;"

    1 Corinthians

    Chapter 12

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

    8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

    9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

You don't bless the wicked or evil and defiantly you don't except it or welcome it as a matter of fact you're not supposed to be around them or associate with them. Today we go to church together. The church and it's people have gone astray, we are the world hybrid believers now, we say God and live worldly 2John1:10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. [Don't bless the wicked!] This evil world wants us to hold hands and say they are good. Woe to him that calls evil good and good evil. why? you open yourself up to be possessed by it.

    Hi Sister Donna,

Jesus tells us in scripture below that God made the sabbath for man:

    Mark 2:27

"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"

Jesus doesn't say the sabbath was made just for the Jews, or for just Israel. The scripture is plain - the sabbath was made for man!

Man can say anything to bend and twist the bible scripture. People ignore and twist bible scripture regularly - to fit their worldly lifestyles.

Read the bible scripture for yourself and believe it!

    God Bless.

Do you need Baptized in water after the Holy Ghost came the Bible says one baptism, guy you are opening a can of worms here there are more opinions on it then churches. The thief on the cross wasn't baptized and Jesus said to him, today I shall see you in paradise. But it's good to be baptized for the remission of sin and if you study it being fully submersed symbolizes being buried with Christ and rising with Christ and being a new creature. Use the search box type baptism, baptized and read it and study it 2 Corith 13:12 study to show thyself approved...............

On Earth now whether you end up in Jerusalem or not depends, you may be outside the gates. All these brain-e-acts who know everything about revelations neglect the most important parts. Paul spoke of earning crown and jewels that go on them and Jesus spoke of being found with just the one talent we were given because we never served God or preached the gospel, buried or heads in the sand. We are servants of O Mighty God of our Lord Jesus Christ and we act like we serve the world. You really need to just read it over and over until you can hear it. Yes, God and Jesus will rein on earth in God's Temple in Jerusalem in God's sanctuary the holy of holies and there will be no sun for they shall be our light. The tree of life who leaves will be to heal the nations. I tell you there is more to it then just believing it's after we believe will be judge by. Read it like your life depends on it because it does.

    Hi Dennis.

Good question. Now we do know who this world belongs to. But Satan is the god of this age. 2 Corinthians 4:4.

Don't let that shake you, Jesus said himself he's not of this word. John 8:23. John 18:36.

Satan rules over the flesh, We have no answer for this and no hope apart from the holyspirit which we receive when we are born again. "Born from above"

    God bless.

1 Cor 12 is the chapter you need to read concerning spiritual gifts. The Book of Acts records the acts of the disciples in obedience to Jesus great commission to go into all the world carrying the message of repentence, baptism in His Name and the receiving of the Holy Ghost they had experienced. I cannot give you all you need to know in this format, but Jesus said, "If you seek, you shall find." First, repent, be baptized into the new covenant , in Jesus Name, then you shall receive the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Acts 2:38 This is the new birth and essential to be a disciple of Jesus and do what the original disciples did. Be careful that you believe God's Word and not allow, as Eve, the voice of the deceiver, satan to cause you to question God's Word, for the Word of God will be the judge of our lives, whether we have obeyed it. Rev. 19:11-21. The very fact that you are seeking understanding is a sign that the Spirit of God wants to lead you into all that Jesus died to give humanity. Except the Spirit of God draws man to Him, they cannot be saved from His wrath and many have hardened their hearts and are refusing to believe that God is the only God, who made a fleshly body for Himself and lived, taught, suffered Calvary, was buried and rose again to leave us the example and the plan of redemption from our state of sin into which all are born. God chooses to use people to speak His words because He is God and we must obey Him even though we will never understand His ways, nor His thoughts, for that is why we must know Him, love Him and trust Him in faith that He will do what His Word has said. Luke 4:4 Jesus said,"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." Jesus is the answer to all your questions, so seek Him and His presence and study His Word, for He is the Word made flesh.

I will pray that God lead you into greater revelation of Him and the relationship He desires to have with humanity.

    In Jesus Name.

    Hello Sister Judy,

Amen, and well stated. Saturday has and always will be the Holy Sabbath Day.

If we are truly Christ Followers, we will follow Christ, as indeed He and the apostles also did. The Sabbath was made for man to rest, and to keep holy. We should observe it and thank God for it! Yes, it is the 4th Commandment. Jesus sums up following "the commandments" in one of the smallest yet strongest verses in the bible:

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

This simple verse cuts to the heart! We don't love Jesus if we don't follow his commandments!

Happy Sabbath Day, and God Bless.

Dear friend, LaVerne on Psalms 127. You know when we do our best, we do not make mistakes.

But you have probably read about the Spirit of God. When we pray, we must pray in Spirit and Truth. That is, and have nothing hidden in the Heart. As it says in James 5:16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

None of us should forget that. Wich u good in the walk with Jesus Christ. He is Lord.

Hi Bill. Maybe you've picked up on this information from a source not readily available to us. What we do know is that there were many writings, both what are considered apocryphal books & other little known, possibly spurious, writings. These were generally single productions on parchment or on other material & have been lost to us. Only the apocryphal books have survived and been retained & sometimes incorporated into the Canon of Scripture.

So if you know of 777 books of the Bible, then you may need to cite your source, as the Bible wasn't even anything like what we have today in one binding. It never had as many books as you suggest and as mentioned, most of the writings that were known through those earliest days, have since been lost or disintegrated over time.

The 66 Books we have now in the Bible was first put together by Jerome around AD 400 written in Latin, & often referred to as the Vulgate. The selection of the NT Books (to the exclusion of the apocryphal books) was based generally on the following: was it written by a disciple or one (e.g. Luke) who learned the accounts from a witness of Jesus' Life & Ministry; they had to be written within the 1st Century; and the selected Books could not contradict any other book, to maintain a faithful account of events. Even disregarding the OT Apocrypha, the NT Apocrypha (e.g. Gospels of Thomas, Barnabas, Mary, etc.) have been found to contain erroneous material, & was omitted when the Canon of Scripture was formed. So what we have now in our hands, we believe is what God has determined for us to read & learn from. There may be truths found in other writings, but to avoid entertaining accounts that may be erroneous, it is best to rely on the strict rules of canonization, under the Will of God for us.

The Lord commands us to forgive those who have wronged us, and to love our enemies and bless them. But we have discernment to tell an enemy which will persist until our extinction, and for these, our forgiveness or blessing will never be enough. Sometimes we must call upon God for protection and redress when the matter is a threat to survival. For such a time as this, praying psalm 35 is immediately appropriate.

Mark 16:1 "And when the Sabbath was past" (the 7th day) 2. "And very early in the morning the first day of the week..." (Sunday) How can this be misinterpreted? Luke 23:54 And that day was the preparation, and the Sabbath drew on. 56. ....they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke24:1 Now on the first day of the week... (Sunday) early in the morning, they came to the sepulcher...

Luke 4:16 ....and as his custom was He (Jesus) went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day.... Luke 13:10 ...and He (Jesus) was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. Genesis 1:5....He called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 2:2...and on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. (to set apart, to declare Holy)

Exodus 20:8-11 (4th commandment) Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, but the 7th day is the Sabbath. So we have established that the preparation day and the Sabbath drew on....was Friday. The Sabbath was the 7th day.... Saturday. He rose very early the first day of the week...Sunday. The Sabbath was established in the first week of creation to commemorate his work. A reminder that he is Creator God. The sabbath commandment starts with...remember. God knew that someday the world was going to forget the true Sabbath and worship a man made Sabbath. This happened under Constantine in the 3rd century when he declared Sunday to be a National day of rest. But he could not change the true Sabbath. He could only counterfeit a new day of rest. Then the Roman Catholic Church established it as a "Holy Day" but it was not Gods holy day. The Catholic Church claims the change and declares it as a "Mark" of their authority! There's that word "mark." Could it be the "Mark" of the Beast is making the false Sabbath (Sun day) law?

    Karen,

According to the Bible, the only gift that is given to a believer is the gift of the Holy Spirit. There is scripture that talks about the "gifts of the Spirit," but the word gift is not the word that means a gift that is given.

If the Lord leads you to do so, I would encourage you to do a study in the New Testament on the word gift or gifts and you will see that the word gift or gifts is either in italics, meaning it is not found in the original Greek text, or it is the word CHARIS which means grace. It has nothing to do with a gift that is given to us.

This is where we get the word CHARISMA from which means an expression of God's grace.

The word DIDOMI in the Greek language is another word used for gift and it literally means a gift that is given. Again, if you do an honest study on every place in the NT where the word gift or gifts is used, you are only going to find one place where the word is used and it actually means a gift that is given. It is the gift of the Holy Spirit. That is the only gift that we are given. Every other place you find the word gift or gifts it is going to be the word CHARIS or CHARISMA which is an expression of God's grace, not a gift that's given to us.

We are only given one gift and it is the gift of the Holy Spirit.

(BEGIN QUOTE) From got questions. orgs website:

This question is usually framed something like this: "Does the Bible say that in the last days, you will not be able to know the seasons except by the changing of the leaves?"

We had been asked this question many times and had done extensive research into its origin, but had never been able to find the source of the idea.

Recently, someone helped us find the origin of the concept. Evidently, it comes from the "3 Days of Darkness" prophecy of Padre Pio, a Roman Catholic priest. The exact quote appears to be, "You will know when that time is approaching because the seasons will change so the only way you will know the seasons is by the leaves on the trees." (END QUOTE)

I used to Believe that also until recently when I looked for it and could not find it in the Bible. I did find Genesis 8:22.
