    Jeremiah

All mankind going back through Noah to Adam knew a lot ore about God, His ways, heaven and other spiritual things because God communicate with these and other pre-post flood prophets lie Seth. Enoch, Jared, Noah, Shem, and Abraham.

However, most of what God said or revealed to them was not written down by Moses. These revelations were proclaimed to the people during those times. Yet, many people turns to idols instead of believing the oral transmission about God through thes godly patriarchs

Jesus said that Abraham saw the day when the Messiah would come and Rejoiced. John 8:56

And Ababam believed that God could raise Isaac from the dead if he slayed him. Hebrews 11:17-19

Abraham was a prophet and favored by God. I am sure that God shows up often and revealed things to him. Enoch walked with Gid and was witnessed going up to heaven without dying.

So, there is most likely a large amount of revelation God told Abraham and other patriarchs that God did not have Mose record in Genesis. These people's faith was not as primitive as most people seem to assume.

    Hello Marilyn

    Jesse has explained this well.

No human has ever seen God in His true essence, which is Spirit. God dwells in unapproachable light, so when He manifested to men He would surround Himself with things like clouds, pillar or fire, etc. because any sinful human cannot see Him and stay alive. This has to do with His absolute holiness and that He is as a Spirit is invisible to our mortal eyes.

Jesus, however, is the eternally existing Son of God as well as fully human. Prior to becoming Jesus, the Son of God was in the Father's bosom, meaning they were One unity though each a distinct person. They, along with the Holy Spirit existed in this Triune Oneness eternally before creation, and are still unified forever. The difference now is that the Son is still Jesus, God and Man. So, Jesus, the Son, knows the Father and has seen the Father from all eternity. They at inseparable in their unity but also distinct persons from each other. So all three persons in the Godhead eternally view each other in love and adoration. They have eternal fellowship, unity of will and all share the divine essence that no one else in all of creation has, complete, infinitely perfect eternal Life. All the Persons of the Trinity possess this divine essence maximally, infinitely, and communally.

Thankfully, God's eternal plan and purpose in creation is to share Himself with a creation who chooses His salvation in His Son, Jesus. Without Jesus, no man could ever be acceptable to have communion with God. I am very humbled when I consider the greatness and magnificence of God knowing I cannot comprehend so much about Him, but I can know Him within the limits of my creatureliness and be richly blessed and satisfied in all He provides for me in this life and more so in the next .

This psalm is an appeal to

God to be merciful. And bless

His people and an exhortation for His people to praise Him. It also expresses the desire for the nations to come to know their God as the only true God.

Verse 6 is distinguishing the God of the Israelites from all the false gods of the nations.

The psalm writer is hoping for all people to come to the God of the Israelites and praise Him alone.

    Yes, a true friend who

Is a believer should inform her friend that you have concerns about some of the teachings of her church and be prepared to give specific Scriptural statements of what is true teachings that correct the specific false teachings you are aware of. This is loving to do.

Your friend may be hostile, but if you are calm and sincere she may be willing to listen further. If you believe that the cult is endangering her in an immediate way, speaking with more urgency is needed.

Yet any false belief is harmful to any believer. So, it is important to assure your friend if your love for her and not withdraw your friendship. Instead, continue to speak about this as opportunity arises. It helps to talk about what you agree on as well as what teachings you can show are not aligned with Scriptural beliefs. Surround this relationship with prayer and be prepared to speak about it.

    Marilyn,

It says in John 1:18 that no man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

The word begotten in the Greek text means unique. The only one who is in human form that represents God, the only begotten Son which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

That is quite a statement! It is the relationship of the Word to the representative of God to man. First of all, nobody has ever seen God at any time. Nobody! The only one, (the only unique one) who has come from God, who is in the Father's bosom, (another word of equality), because He and the Father are one as He tells us in John 10:31.

He, that is Jesus Christ, He has declared God. The word for declared is EXEGESITO. That is where we get our word exegesis from. An exegete is somebody who takes something apart and declares in detail the facts about a subject.

There are the three principles being taught about Christ: in existence, in equality, and in essence.

In Existence: The only begotten Son Existed in the bosom of the Father.

In Equality: Bosom of the Father means that He is one with him.

And thirdly, In Essence: Jesus is God in human form.

In other words, if anybody wants to know about God, they go to Jesus Christ. He is not just a prophet. He's not just a rabbi. In the Christian faith and Biblical Christianity, He is God in the flesh, 100% God, 100% man!

    Hope this helps!

    According to John 3:13 -

How did Abraham be live in heaven, Jesus relates to that no one had gone to heaven before him?

So all man before Christ does not go to Heaven :)

It is quite reasonable because God - the Real Father of the Christ - created a garden - the Eden ;)

And Father of Christ want to RE-new the whole Globe - So in revelation says about new Earth

so every man will be in that new Earth that links us to Exactly ISAIAH 45:18 where is about Earth,

    that will be "inhabited".

Verse 6 what is meant by God and even our own God?
  • Bruce VanderHaagen - In Reply on John 1 - 4 years ago
In the text it says the one and only to mean "only begotten". The scripture mentions that the Spirit of God genetically put into Mary his seed. The offspring would have been holy his name is Jesus. He is the sacrifice that takes away our sin once and for all. Acts 2:38 shows us how to receive his salvation by the one who was given the keys to the kingdom. This is the only sure way to salvation.

    Amen S Spencer,

Very well put. The same Spirit, also John 15:26-27, during those times, fulfilling the law and the prophets was a purpose. What can be unclear sometimes it was to the Jews first, it was not until all the prophecies concerning this had to be fulfilled. The beginning of the Church was Jews only and the law was still in play until Peters dream and Paul as we see in Acts 10 and Acts 15 and other places.

There is one thing I repeat over and over when I read or study is "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear". It reminds me to shake out my thoughts and preconceived ideas where I can hear what Jesus through the Holy Spirit is ready to show me. I still have much to hear and each time it is a wow, praise God moment.

    God bless,

    RLW
  • Denny on Ecclesiastes 3 - 4 years ago
Anyone know why Ecclesiastes 3:11 translates to "...also he hath set the 'world' in their heart,..." while other translations translates to "...also he hath set 'eternity' in their heart,..." which makes better sense. I mean, this chapter is about ability of humans to comprehend eternity, our existence is the middle of creation and our ability to reason and recognize good and evil compared to other animals on this planet.

I would love to know what's in the original text and how it got translation into this banal meaning in KJV.

    Hallo again

The references to Romans have nothing to do with this. Just my reading today that I have shed light on.

Among other things in chapter 16 v 27 I Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord.

Then I remembered that blessed Paul had a hard time writing. And this Tertius wants to have his name written down in the letter book and mentions it :)

And I have been on the road with Jesus for 50+ years and never reflected on this. Bless everyone in the Love of Christ that we give to each other every day. Amen. Love u all in Jesus Christ.
  • Free - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hi dear, thank you for the reminder Ian you are absolutely right and Serve Jesus With Your Whole Body. For all of it belongs to Him. Romans chapter 15-16.

There is great confusion about this, even when one speaks with other tongues. And that among the believers. It's so nice to open your mouth, it's also nice to show the gifts you have. But because of fear of man, many are sitting with services that the devil has simply bound in a church. Often the Holy Spirit has been left out of a meeting because people simply do not allow the Spirit to speak! This is a shame and not God's Will among us believers.

With us, love should not live in fear.

To make this right, the meetings of the church need to open up to the Spirit of God and All the various gifts will flow in the church.

So think about it all, that you must not shut the Holy Spirit in.

    Jesus cries about it.

All meetings that are created for believers and NOT believers must make a difference. Because when there is a public meeting, it is important to show Order and not Disorder.

The first thing an infant encounters should not be tongues. Is equal to confusion that may never be corrected. Unfortunately. I know this because I have some friends who will never join a meeting. They are sitting at home with a,

s m a l l Jesus. And never get to know the services and the various gifts Christians can receive in the congregation. Is not that a shame for Christianity?

When you come to a church, it should be Free, not bound by fear of man and here is the Pastor's responsibility to throw out the spiritual obstacle that will come every day, several times a day

So in this case, All Pastors have a great responsibility surely greater than many are aware of! For you must let the church live with all the perfect newborns and elders who have never been able to unfold, neither in spirit nor in church. Remember we are all Jesus' Bride. And what was it that He was afraid to face when He comes again? God Bless u in HisHisHolyNameJesus

I find the first chapter of John interesting but would like some clarity on verse 18.
  • Raymondo - 4 years ago
The first resurrection is the state of being spiritually alive. It is the opposite of the first death.

The first resurrection is when you are born again by God's miracle of the new birth which you can only get from God and not from your choice. (See John 1.11-14 "11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

The first death is when you are alive in body but dead in sin as we all are at birth. ( Ephesians 2.8-10.

The second resurrection is the life-giving change of being taken into heaven when you are resurrected by the Lord. The second death is the judgement and sentencing and incarceration in hell of all who have rejected Christ on earth..

Agreed, God has kept us from knowing ALOT for our own good, I believe.

Ezekiel passage is interesting. We do not know when this took place or when we are not told.

In Genesis the first day is that day light was created but before this time the heavens and the earth existed. For how long we do not know, but gap theory between verse 1&2 is a possibility. But even if there was a gap, God did not tell us about It except for Ezekiel passage about the fall of Lucifer and his presence in the Garden of Eden. So, for

Me, time to move on to another topic
