John 15:16 You have not chosen me, I HAVE CHOSEN YOU, and ordained you .....
You were not chosen to go the heaven, you are chosen to be a worker in the Kingdom of God.
The word of God is all about HIS kingdom, and the kingdom workers, not sitting in a rocking chair in a place called heaven.
You have to go deep into the study of Mosses and the Prophets, to understand.
God Bless YOU!
What is adultery in God's eyes?
Is it adultery in the FLESH, or adultery against God in our BELIEFS?
Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Revelation 17:5 And upon HER head was a name written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS (adulteresses) AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Which is more important to God, removing ministers that commit adultery in the flesh, or sin against God in their beliefs and teachings.
If the are corrected in their BELIEFS, they want sin in the flesh.
God Bless YOU!
We have been this route before many times and many others on here have given you many Scriptures that repute your position that in actuality we are gods.
Psalm 82:6 is speaking of the judges appointed over Israel when they had possessed the land. God is judging these judges as being mere men, not gods. He is mocking them because they dealt corruptly with the people. If they truly were gods they would not have cheated widows and orphans, preferred the cause of the rich, profited from their position, nor been flippant towards God and His requirements of them to 'stand among the people in His place' (thus the term of calling them gods). God was not proclaiming that these judges were in fact gods, but that those who are appointed to judge others are to judge as if God were judging through them. Jesus refers to this passage after He declared that He was one with the Father ( John 10:30) and the leaders wanted to stone Him for making Himself God. He quotes this Psalm as a rebuttal, not to affirm that the judges were in actuality gods, but that, if the leaders accept that Scripture as true, why would they be offended if He calls Himself the Son of God and one with God. He was calling the leaders out on their double mindedness and lack of understanding of the Scriptures though they knew them backwards and forwards.
Earl, God has stated so many times that He alone is God and there are no other gods, even though man may call idols gods or men gods. Just because man may consider idols or men gods does not make them gods.
There is only one God. And He is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and no others. He has forbidden making any gods of our own, whether idols or persons.
Your preoccupation with being a god is concerning. Why not humbly accept that we are mere humans created to be humans forever, though we are adopted as children of God through Jesus, not by our own constitution or nature, but by the grace and wisdom of God.
Read Is. 44:6; 45:5; 46:9
Since it seems you responded to my post I will respond to you. I have never reported anyone on this site or advocated for anyone to be banned. If the administration determines that someone should not be allowed to post then that is their prerogative.
The veracity of whether Jesus is God or not is not a matter of how many people believe it is true or not. Biblical truth is not determined democratically by consensus of the majority or minority. True doctrine is determined by what Scripture says to be true.
Even though billions of Christians believe Jesus is God does not make it true.
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....'
John 1:14
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us , full of grace and truth; we beheld his glory, as of the ONLY Son of the Father."
John 10:30 Jesus says,
"I and the Father are one"
Just in these few verses we have Scripture stating that Jesus is God and is that the Father and Son are one together, though distinct persons.
Later on in John 14:16-17, Jesus says that He will ask the Father to send the Spirit. Thus naming EACH Person in the One God.
I think that true doctrine is important and beneficial to believers and that false doctrine is corrupting to a believer. That is why I speak out concerinng doctrine that is opposed to revealed truth in Scripture, especially doctrine concerning the identity, character, nature and work of our Savior.
Jema, I respect that you do wish to ignore or pass over postings that do not agree with your viewpoint.
And I respect that you prefer to speak what you believe without having others speak in disagreement of what you state as your beliefs.
This is a discussion forum, primarily, and not simply a place for people to post their beliefs without expecting a response. But each of us engage on this forum as we see fit as we prayerfully consider what others post and seek the Lord's guidance in how or if we respond to a posting.
I understand that people keep reporting him. And I am grateful that even despite this he returns. He truly has a patience of a saint. Instead of attacking each other maybe we ought to "examine thyself". If you do not like what he is saying then you can simply ignore him. I ignored him for a few days and meditated on the word of God. After doing so I am now beginning to understand certain things he has stated. Too many people on here hump to themselves teachers but only have itching ears. I rather be a student first before being a teacher. Thank you.
God bless you.
As a side note I want to apologise that you are having to go through this amount of trouble for trying to edify your brothers. God did say that the people will kill thinking they are doing the work of God. I wish some people would "examine thyself" to make sure that they hold to sound doctrine before reporting people under false pretenses. Thank you for helping me lift this heavy burden from me.
God bless you.
I appreciate the length you are going to get the gospel out. Here is what I believe. I believe that the only way into heaven is through faith in Jesus Christ. If anyone thinks that they have to have works to accompany their faith then I believe they do not have the right faith. Jesus will tell them "Depart from me, workers of iniquity." If we do not put our full faith in what Christ did for us on the cross then "Christ is dead in vain". Anyone who think they have to keep the commandments are still married to Moses and Jesus cannot partake in their adultery. After reading the book of John I have come to believe the WORK Jesus did justifies me, not my own works which "are as filthy rags".
Glory to God for you have given me greater understanding. God bless you.
So, in today's English usage, if I were to write, Jesus said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone...." ( Matthew 4:4), I would use quotation marks front & rear of the sentence to indicate Jesus' Words. But in the writing of the KJB, quotation apparently weren't employed but capitalizing the first letter after the speech or quotation, indicated the start of it.
You can look at the following examples to see how this works: Matthew 2:8 (Go); Matthew 2:23 (He); Matthew 3:3 (The); Matthew 3:15 (Suffer). I think you will get the idea of how the first letter of the first word is capitalized when a message is uttered or a verse is quoted.
Greetings in Christ JESUS
Yes,one plants, another waters, but GOD gives the increase.JESUS said:in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers,Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:but it shall be in the end of this world. And gather the wheat into my barn.Yes,our GOD will give the increase(The Word is GOD,self-executable),and you know that He calls those things which be not as though they were- Romans 4:17
JESUS said,he that reapes receives wages, and gathers fruit unto LIFE ETERNAL(it's marvelous):that both he that sowes(JESUS sowed)and he that reaps(under the command of JESUS)may(both)rejoice together
Re.11:15-18
15The kingdoms OF THIS WORLD are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ;and He shall reign for ever and ever
16And the four and twenty elders, which sat before GOD on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped GOD
17Saying,We give thee thanks,O Lord God Almighty-JESUS-,which art,and was,and art to come;because thou has taken to thee thy great power, and has reigned.(GOD calls those things which be not as though they were- Romans 4:17.The Word is GOD,self-executing)
18And the NATIONS were(WILL BE)angry, and GOD's WRATH is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be Judged, and that GOD should give reward unto His servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear His name, small and great;and should destroy them which destroy the earth
Mat.25:31-34&41&46
31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory
32Before Him shall be gathered all nations:He shall separate them one from another,as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats
33And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, the goats on the left
34Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand,Come,ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world
41Unto them on the lft hand-Depart from me youCURSED...
I agree, how ever you want to say it.
Ephesians 4:4 .... ONE SPIRIT ....
God Bless YOU!
I explained this to you two names ago.
When you and Brother S Spencer, Brother Jesse, and Brother Chris start going between yourselves saying I am a false teacher, someone complains to administration and they stop me from posting.
If you believe I am teaching incorrectly, just prove it to me by the scriptures, I have repented of my beliefs 100's of times.
God's word says we all start out being deceived, so we must constantly repent of our false beliefs as light is shined into darkness.
God's words cannot contradict themselves, so when we run up against scriptures the contradict other scriptures we hold true, we have to revisit our beliefs and aline them with God's words.
This is a race we cannot lose, but we can take the long way, and not cross till the second resurrection.
God Bless YOU!
No one has said Jesus is not a GOD.
But Christ IS NOT Christ's God, and Christ's Father, which is SPIRIT.
Christ's God and Father, is the LIFE in Christ's Body.
As Christ's God and Christ's Father is the LIFE of Christ
Christ's God and Christ's Father hath GIVEN Christ power to have LIFE in HIMSELF.
John 5:26
BY his death and resurrection he is OUR GOD and OUR FATHER.
God with us and in us.
Psalms 136:2 O give thanks to the God of gods, for his mercy endureth forever.
Christ's has GIVEN his children the same POWER he has, by being the LIFE and POWER of his SEED.
When Christ has raised all the DEAD unbelievers at the second resurrection, Christ's saint will exercise that POWER unto JUDGEMENT.
God Bless YOU!
I appreciate your candid replies.
Why do you keep changing your screen name?
The correct is to say: GOD gave to John the Baptist the same spirit He had given to Elijah, like was also with Elisha- 2Kings 2:13-15. Take a look.
GOD BLESS
Greetings in Christ JESUS
No, both ARE NOT the same person, of course, that theory is of spiritism, spiritists believe in reincarnation. What GOD made was to give the same spirit of Elijah to John the Baptist, by the way, John was/is an angel of the Lord, he was born by the Word of GOD, I mean by prophecy, according Isaiah 4O and Malachi 3.
By your better understanding, GOD had made the same with Elisha. 2Kings 13-15
13 Elisha took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord GOD of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
Luke 9:29-30
29 And as JESUS prayed, the fashion of His countenance was altered, and His raiment was white and glistering.
30 And, behold, there talked with Him two men, which were Moses and Elijah:
31 Who appeared IN GLORY, and spake of His decease which He should accomplish at Jerusalem.
GOD bless
Thank you for your thoughts and adding to the discussion.
Yes, we are to reap; however, we are still called to sow the seed. Matthew 28: 18-20. This is because we don't know when the LORD JESUS comes and our work is ended here on earth. We keep sowing, because GOD is not willing that any one perish, but all come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9.
For one plants, another waters, but GOD gives the increase.
1 Corinthians 3:6-11
We sow through CHRIST JESUS in our testimony, and witness as people see our daily relationship with our SAVIOR. In our sharing and declaring of the Salvation of the LORD. Titus 2:11-14.
GOD bless you in your ministry of faith. November 29, 2023
Huge thread of Bible verses:
Link
Those who seem motivated to campaign against Jesus and attack and try to demean him seem like enemies of Christ. Would someone who loves Jesus do that? The same old tired straw man arguments and flawed human logic is somehow viewed as carrying more weight than the scriptures themselves. Cherry picking and twisting a few verses occurs while ignoring a mountain of clear verses saying Jesus is God, like John 1:1. But as the Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 people will seek out fables and turn to lies to satisfy their fleshly itching ears. It is disgusting.
yes, we were first married to the law: written in stones.
that was our school teacher.
we learned from our schoolmaster: that that law leads to death.
christ came and changed the law, from death to life by the life of the spirit indwelling us.
all creation (sinful flesh) died on the cross of christ.
only the body of christ arose, by the spirit of life, a new cretion, one flesh, one body.
2 timothy 1:1 ... according to the promise of life, which is christ jesus ....
john 17:22 and the glory thou gavest me, i have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one.
all by the works of christ's cross.
god bless you!
NO, they were two different men, under the control of the SAME SPIRIT.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit IN YOU and CAUSE YOU to walk in my statutes, and keep my judgements and DO THEM.
God Bless you
