I will comment on this book, the author I believe is the Apostle Paul, there are various reasons why I state this as truth, found in the writings are the doctrine of hope, this is a Pauline doctrine for the salvation of the soul and body, as in all other Pauline epistles on that subject. The one who wrote this book was Timothy 13:25 and the one who created the book had rule over Timothy, to send him to the churches 13:23 This book is a contrast between the Old Testament and the New Testament, the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant, and the difference between the priesthood of Levi and the Melchizedek priesthood.

I believe this is what you're asking for,

Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" "For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Luke 12:31 "But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you."

    Hi Angela.

I would like to encourage you to get a reading program if you haven't already, and trust in the Holyspirit to reveal his truths.

Along with that J vernon mcgee has a great collection of commentary. Or you can find him and several others on Blueletterbible video and audio commentaries.

There's guys on this site that would love to help if you have questions.

Any route you take there's no substitution to reading and studying all 66 books.

Don't begin with topical studies or historical studies, let the Holyspirit work in your studies as it has done in the Church over 2000 years.

    God bless.

    Agreed Chris

I do not know the verse, but Scripture does say that God knows the end from the beginning. So, He chooses each of us by His foreknowledge of how we will respond to the Gospel and His grace to us. He is merciful and He is just in all of His ways. He is faithful to His promise and His goodness and love is boundless. Therefore, we can trust Him in all of His ways. He is our Perfect God

    Hi Chanda

    In answer to your questions:

    The Bible has 66 books without the Apocrypha;

Which is 14 books. If your Bible has the Apocrypha it has 80. 66+14=80

Jesus was 33 or so when He died

The account of Jesus speaking with Nicodemus is in John 3:1-21

Thank you for your post , I enjoyed it very much . We must try to remember that God is THE GOD , and therefore He is the God of all flesh , all flesh of all faiths and atheists , they just don't know it yet . We must treat every one as kindly as we can . Lk Ch 6 V 35 , Jere Ch 32 V 27 , Psalm 24 V 1 . This planet isn't ours , we don't own any of it Lev Ch 25 V 23 , 1st Chrn Ch 29 V 15 . As God is no respecter of persons , then we should b trying very hard to not b respectors of persons . We all judge others ,by their houses their clothes their cars their jobs their hairstyles etc , often we do it subconsciously but sometimes very consciously . Acts Ch 10 V 34+35 . We should try not to label people , labels r man made , we r not supposed to go along with the rest of the world , we r not supposed to think the way it does , Romans Ch 8 V 1-14 and Luke Ch 16 V 15 . Finally Hebrews Ch 13 V 2 . Thank you again for your post .

    Wesley's Notes for Revelation 4:1

4:1 After these things - As if he had said, After I had written these letters from the mouth of the Lord. By the particle and, the several parts of this prophecy are usually connected: by the expression, after these things, they are distinguished from each other, # Rev 7:9|; 19:1. By that expression, and after these things, they are distinguished, and yet connected, # Rev 7:1|; 15:5; 18:1. St. John always saw and heard, and then immediately wrote down one part after another: and one part is constantly divided from another by some one of these expressions. I saw - Here begins the relation of the main vision, which is connected throughout; as it appears from the throne, and him that sitteth thereon; the Lamb; (who hitherto has appeared in the form of a man;) the four living creatures; and the four and twenty elders, represented from this place to the end. From this place, it is absolutely necessary to keep in mind the genuine order of the texts, as it stands in the preceding table. A door opened in heaven - Several of these openings are successively mentioned. Here a door is opened; afterward, the temple of God in heaven, # Rev 11:19|; 15:5; and, at last, heaven itself, 19:11. By each of these St. John gains a new and more extended prospect. And the first voice which I had heard - Namely, that of Christ: afterward, he heard the voices of many others. Said, Come up hither - Not in body, but in spirit; which was immediately done.
  • The Glory of God - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
I once heard someone say: The Glory of the Peach Tree, is the Peach.

The Glory of God, is His Son, Jesus Christ.

It changed me to see my son as being my glory. I treated him differently after that. We should see the same Jesus we follow; in our children.

They are not our "cross to pick up and carry every day". They are our glory. The only Jesus they may see, is what is reflected through us, into them.

Don't let your kids wander off__without knowing they are loved and well thought of. We have to walk the walk and talk the talk.

How carefully we will plant flowers in the yard, and hope they will become beautiful to look upon.

Go ye into ALL the world. that's all of us.

The dead will be raised first. It doesn't matter where their bodies are; ocean, fires, murdered and hidden. In Genesis, Abel's blood called out to God. God knows where His children are.

The BORN AGAIN Living Believers are raised next. The handicapped people will be whole and perfect. If their minds are impaired, they will be made perfect. Let's evangelize everyone and allow God to be the judge. Amen?

    Hi Trish.

    Here's a definition.

The region of the air the sky or heavens. In scripture, the word denotes an expanse, a wide extent for such is the signification of the Hebrew word, coinciding with regio, region, and reach. The original therefore does not convey the sense of solidity, but of stretching, extension the great arch or expanse over our heads, in which are placed the atmosphere and the clouds, and in which the stars appear to be placed, and are really seen.

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Genesis 1:6 .

    I hope that helps.

    God bless.

You can Google for some charts & maps to look at. Makes it easier to understand. I would go look at those.

    Google: firmament, Bible

Scientists don't even know how deep space is. They've discovered that the Big Bang happened here, and the waves are expanding deep into space.

With the new space vehicles, they have seen DRY LAKE BEDS on the planets & moons we know of. They have various thoughts on why those planets lost the water. Too close to the sun, or too far away; and then they were able to see the dry lake beds.

Only Earth has water. In my book that's enough evidence to be convinced of a Creator.

We have water, light, heat, cold, fertile earth, and plenty of vegetation and animals for food. None of the other planets have that.

The Bible only, names EARTH as a habitation.

I might have seen that documentary on

Jesus Christ speaks of people trying to make void the Commandments of God, with the people's traditions. I speak of people today who keep- the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, by Sunday keeping (Usually an hour, not a day) and try to make void the Fourth Commandment, to: "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (9) Six days you shall labor and do all your work (10) but the seventh day is the Sabbath if the Lord your God. In it, you shall do no work, you nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. (11) For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it."

You see in the Forth Commandment we have the information as to who the other nine belong. For in the Forth Commandment we have the seal of God. His Name, Title, and Teritory. Just like the president of the USA. Name: Joe Biden. Title: President of the United States. And Teritory: The United States. Like so with the Forth Commandment. Name: God. Title: Creator. Teritory: Heaven and Earth. And interestingly enough, the only commandment that starts with "Remember" is the only one that the devil tries to get man to forget. Interestingly enough.

This is by far one of the most powerful and beautiful moments documented in the Bible. First of all, I love how one of the holiest individuals, John, is depicted as a man of lower class. One who most likely did not have much of his own, was ultimately the strongest with his religious faith. This further exemplifies how the love and grace of God is found where you least expect it, and is omnipresent in all of us. When Jesus asks John to baptize him, John expresses that he is not worthy to baptize Jesus, and that it should be the other way around. Jesus insists that he truly wishes to be blessed by John and the Holy Spirit, and believes that even he, the son of God, seeks the blessing of God the father. It is only after Jesus is baptized that the doors of heaven are opened, and God exclaims, "this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." The beauty of God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are truly showcased in a powerful way here, as the light and love from God is illuminated in our hearts and souls at this moment. Jesus shows us all that if we embrace the love of God in our hearts and souls the way he did, the doors of Heaven will be opened to us also.

It's the whole book of Romans. The message is to lead the unsaved to Salvation.

Chapter 1: it shows us how God has shown us through His Creation, that all we see and know didn't happen all by itself.

Just knowing the complexity of the human body should convince us.

There's a link on the entrance page: Become A Christian, that has book of zRomans scriptures.

Let me know what you think. Blessings.

Hi Trish, I don't know if anyone can properly explain this without actually being in heaven in The Spirit. I will just tell you what little knowledge I have. Here on earth we have the firmament that separates the water, and above us we have the firmament that separates the earth from space. Above that there is also a heavenly heaven where Yah dwells where there is no darkness. Yah Bless You!

    Hey Trish,

The firmament, raqia, meaning an extended surface, expanse, God called heaven that He placed the sun, moon, and all the stars. It is from the earth to the furthest star. In Genesis 1:6-8 the second day God said let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters to divide the waters, WOW. This shows how little we understand the size and power of our God, we cannot even comprehend that. We ask what is this water that is above the farthest star we know of?

In the ancient world among all peoples everywhere believed the sky (firmament) was a rock-solid dome over the earth beneath which were the sun, moon, and stars. Some in the past believed there was a sea above this solid dome. Some believe the water was a canopy of water vapor that covered the earth before the flood. This greenhouse effect might have made the whole pre-flood world tropical and helped people live for hundreds of years, and the water used to flood the earth.

With the sun, moon, and stars in this firmament that could not be because this would have created intense heat that would cook everything. I think this is one thing outside of our understanding, you can word search firmament in scripture, but God throne is above it, Paul called it the third heaven, 2 Corinthians 12:2. The waters above may be the waters of life as we read in Revelation 21:6 and Revelation 21:1,17. The water Jesus offered in John 4:10-15.

    God bless,

    Hi Jessyca,

Can you please provide scriptures to support the following statements you made?

    1) 'We women are allowed to teach' - teach who?

    2) 'Preaching is to have authority over the entire flock of God'

    3) 'Women are however spreaders of the gospel, to be instant in season and out of season' - where does this specify it is directed to women?

    4) 'God's design is that God is the head, Then man, then the wife, then the children, then everyone else in the world' - where does it say everyone else in the world come after children in a godly household?

    5) 'Women are to spread the wonderful news of Christ Jesus to all who will listen' - where does this specify it is directed to women?

    Thank you
