Hi Alex N. In your response to conditional promises, you wrote about the kingdom of God, as though all Christians already have this in them, I should clarify this statement therefore to you, the first dispensation of the kingdom of heaven is inwardly, it lasts for 2,000 years, from the time the Lord Jesus died until he returns, according to the Lord Jesus in Luke 17:20-21 all Christians have the kingdom of God in their heart, this is also taught in John 3:5, all Christians enter the kingdom of God when they are born again, The Apostle Paul affirms this truth in Colossians 1:13, however, this is not what I was speaking about in conditional promises, I spoke about the millennial kingdom of God, which has not happened yet, no Christian has entered this yet, all scriptures place conditions upon entering that kingdom of God. I will say this, we made it into the first dispensation of the kingdom by faith without works, but to make it into the millennial kingdom, it is by faith with works. Please read Matthew 7:21 only if a Christian does the will of God can he make it in, this is a condition attached to making it in the kingdom. Read Matthew 25:14-30 unless you used your talents you cannot make it into the joy of the Lord, being the millennial kingdom, again a conditional promise to get it, or read Acts 14:22 as we must suffer much tribulation in order to make it into the kingdom, another conditional attached to making it into the millennial kingdom of heaven. Again read the warnings of why Christians will not make it into that millennial kingdom in 1 Cor. 6:9-10 & Galatians 5:19-21 & Ephesians 5:3-5 as a result of living a godless lifestyle, you lose your inheritance of entering into the millennial kingdom of God, in order to rule and reign for a thousand years. As concerning your topic of the man child teaching us all things, that prophecy is for the coming of Elijah in Malachi 4:5-6 it is not the ministry of the man child. I hope this explains conditional promises.

Why do we allow poverty when it is something that we , as humans , could quite easily solve if we wanted to ?
  • Grae - In Reply on Psalms 23 - 4 years ago
With respect and affection dear Chinita . We all doubt ourselves sometimes , this is part of being human . To increase your faith u must try to build a strong bond with your God . This is done by reading His word and understanding it to the best of your ability and believe it . That's what faith is , belief . To have faith in God is to believe His word as preserved for us in the Bible , old and New testament . The whole Bible is full of accounts of our God's dealings and interactions with ordinary people just like u and me . Become familiar with these narratives , make friends with these people . Here r some especially helpful scriptures , all of Hebrews Ch 11 , Mat Ch 9 V 22 , Mar Ch 5 V 34 , Mar Ch 10 V 52 , Luk Ch 7 V 50 , Luk Ch 17 V 19 and Luk Ch 18 V 42 . I think it's interesting to note that the word faith is never once used in the gospel account by John . The book of James is also a good one to read about faith , Romans Ch 10 V 17 and Romans Ch 14 V 23 . Mat Ch 17 V 20 and Luk Ch 17 V 6 always make me feel ashamed of my own small faith as I am unable to move a tree or a mountain . These r things that God has said will happen that haven't yet , Num Ch 14 V 21 , Gen Ch 13 V 14-17 ,Isaiah Ch 2 V 1-4 and Ch 65 V 17-25 , Ezekiel Ch 40 to Ch 48 , Rev Ch 11 V 15 and Rev Ch 21&22 . Do u believe that God will do what He says He will ? That is faith . Read your Bible , speak to God in prayer , honestly and openly and trust in His love for u . Give Him thanks every day for all the kind and generous ways in which He takes care of u . Draw closer to Him and He will draw closer to u .

the time of reformation; Heb. 9:10 = The Greek noun root (pronounced "ka-hee-ROS") translated here into "time" speaks of a very specific, short, and measurable period of time which features its own unique characteristics, and usually climaxes with an important decisive event. Contextually, the event was CHRIST's Crucifixion when "HE appeared to put away sin by the Sacrifice of HIMSELF" (v.26).

The term "reformation" occurs only once in the N.T. ( Heb. 9:10)and translates from the Greek compound noun (pronounced "dee-OR-th-sis"). It combines two words:

1st, the Greek preposition (pronounced "dee-AH"), meaning "by" or "through"; and

2nd, the Greek adjective (pronounced "or-THOS"), meaning "straight", "erect", or "upright".

The English language derives the grammatical element "ortho - ", relating especially to the spine and long straight bones of the skeletal system which enables humans to stand up straight and erect.

It also derives the religious term "orthodox", which speaks of conforming to, and behaving according to healthy and approved doctrine.

This Reformation speaks of LORD JESUS CHRIST fulfilling and abolishing the Old Testament sacrificial animal typology when HE sacrificed HIMSELF on Calvary's Cross.

CHRIST's Soteriologic Reformation establishes all things "better", including, but not limited to, a

    + "better Hope" ( Heb. 7:19),

    + "better Testament" ( Heb. 7:22),

    + "better Covenant" ( Heb. 8:6),

    + "better Promises" ( Heb. 8:6,

+ "better country, that is an Heavenly" ( Heb. 11:16), and

    + "better Resurrection" ( Heb. 11:35).

    Hi Jet.

When we focus on marriage we see why we should never divorce.

A marriage should model Christ relationship to the Church!!

Ephesians 5:21-32. Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

    Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

This is a great mystery: BUT I SPEAK CONCERNING CHRIST AND THE CHURCH.

Do you notice the last sentence?

" I speak of Christ and the Church "

God uses marriage to communicate Christ love for his Church.

    And they are inseparable!!

    Good Morning Jcbu undercover,

Nehushtan was the name of the serpent god Egyptians worshipped. The high places were where the pagans offered sacrifices on altars to Baal at that time in Israelite history. Also, alongside the Baal altar were planted groves of trees and placed carved wooden images of Ashherah (also known as Ishtar, Isis, Astoreth, Eostre and other variations of the name, but it was the same idol goddess) among the trees next to the altar of Baal and often a statue of Baal (also known as Marduk and other names among the surrounding peoples). So, the Israelites just could not keep themselves from the enticement of these pagan idols and practices. They added this idolatry with worship of Yahweh. This repeated over and over again when someone like Josiah came into leadership and cleansed the land of idolatry and images, the Israelites soon fell back into these practices. Considering that idols are easy to create with wood and stone, there was really no way to prevent any Israelite from shaping their idols for their own homes, So, God was patient with the Israelites until the time set in the wisdom of His counsel, He caused them to be taken captive into Assyria and Babylon.

In Assyria. the tribes of Israel there were introduced to the culture of this pagan nation. When the captivity was over, Most Israelites did not return to Israel, but either stayed in Assyria or migrated out of the area, many going north through Turkey and Armenia into Russia and eastern Europe. The Jews in witchcraft into their thinking and writings. In Babylon, the Jews developed the rabbinical system which produced the Pharisees and Sadducees. There was produced the Talmud (written code) and Mishnah (oral tradition) which formally interpreted the Torah, adding law upon law on top of the Mosaic Law. When released from captivity, most Jews did not return to Israel, but either stayed or migrated out of the area, many going north to Turkey and Eastern Europe and the Caucasus area.

  • THE SABBATH AND LONLINESS - In Reply on Jeremiah 1 - 4 years ago
People discuss this frequently. I don't.

God just wants us to set aside a day to attend church services as a family, and relax and do family things the remainder of the day.

Not splitting off in all directions doing our own things. It keeps the family unit strong. Do things as a family unit or just TALK to each other.

I'm a street preacher, and the things that teens and young people complain about the most (bitterly) is the lack of attention in the home. They're wandering the streets looking for it. Some have found Jesus if I was there. Everyone wants love and conversation. They don't care about themselves because "no one wants to talk."

They have things going on in their minds that says, "I am not valuable. What I think doesn't matter to anyone. "My parents don't know where I am and they Don't Care."

Sabbath is when we go to God and worship and listen to the ONLY ONE who cares what we need.

His love HEALS a lonely soul. That's the reason we don't FORSAKE ASSEMBLING TOGETHER. Someone needs a touch or encouragement from God, through us.

If people would stop bludgeoning each other with THE LAW__other people may get healed and be comforted with a kind word or a special scripture. Go home with a smile in their heart.

Internet, social networks, has produced 2 decades of lonely existence and a huge need to touch people and be touched; talked to. We singles used to go to a restaurant and get a HUGE platter of nachos (after church; share stories, jokes, and it was FUN. Did it every week.

The Sabbath was made for the people. Ask the Holy Spirit to explain it to your spirit.

You get back interest from things you invest YOURSELF in, fully. What this decade is having a problem with, is, Emotional Closeness.

I know I'm right because me and the Holy Spirit are tight. I hope this helped.

Destiny, Myself and others are happy to respond to your questions. If you can re-word these new ones, we can know more of what you want to find out.

The priesthood was instituted by God trough Moses in the wilderness journey to the promised land and continued among the Levites up to the destruction of the last temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

Paul tells us in Hebrews that Jesus is our High priest forever, like Melchizedek. ( Hebrews 7) So, since Jesus is our High Priest, there is no need for any other priest to mediate between God and man, because Jesus mediates (as the Levitical priests did) for the people before God.

As in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was in agony in His human nature over the what His divine nature knew was ahead for Him within the next days time. He knew He was going to suffer a horrible death and die. He also was feeling the weight of the sins of the world as they were being put upon Him even then. This was the beginning of His sufferings for us. But because Jesus was both God and man in one person, thought He asked the Father to remove the cup of suffering that was imminent, He chose the Father's will in both His divine and human nature.

As to, the prophets and apostles. Jesus was the last Prophet, the one promised in Moses' time. The apostles did prophesy, as did some in the early church times, as it was a gift of the Holy Spirit for the building up of the church.

Before the apostles died, they had appointed elders and bishops in the churches by the laying on of hands and anointing them with oil. But there were not appointed any more apostles other than the 12 and Paul. An apostle is one who lived when Jesus lived on earth and knew Him personally as eyewitnesses to His life, death, and resurrection. They were called specifically and verbally by Jesus during His earthly life. Paul was an exception, as He encountered the resurrected Jesus at his conversion on the road to Damascus. Jesus appeared to Paul more times after that.

Following my previous comments as to marriage >Yes we can break a marriage, but we do not have a right to marry again EXCEPT > under the condition if one or the other passes away in death .. And that is what I am seeing in Gods word >NOT that Kings, Govoners and magistrates have the right to overrule Gods Laws that we can just keep remarrying >>>NOT EVEN ONCE EXCEPT only in the event of the mates' death ..AND ONLY ....... I do not know that you could ever make me see this any other way but with your help, I will listen and if God was to show me thru you I am not understanding this all correctly, I may buy that in time but not just because you say and understand it that way >I see it that you are very wrong. Kings and Governors can not override Jesus saying WE are to marry only once and ARE IN NO WAY TO MARRY AGAIN BUT ONLY BY THE MATES DEATH ..

    Hi Debbie.

    Colossians 2:14-17. Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. These articles was a shadow of things to come.

We rest in the finish work of Christ.

Hebrews 4:2-11. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

OK, I may partially understand what you say. Does the word not it say in the New Testaments that we yes have a right as husband and wife, we see we are not compatible, we can't get along, we argue and bicker, we are miserable,we are so disgusting we make everyone around us miserable>It was said that yes we have the right to at last break the marriage, separate, get apart from each other YES we have that right BUT does that follow with words that yes we have that right to divorce>BUT we do not have the right to marry again and if we do we will be committing adultery and fornication? SO THEN,after the divorce as to man's Laws we have the right to marry again, And yes the Lord recognized the woman at the well had been married 5 times but he said >YOUR 1st husband is your husband, This mans Law that we can remarry as many times as we want to as long as there has been a legal divorced obtained , So the word says we can depart from our mate but we are in no wise to >MARRY AGAIN > BUT you are saying because God has put man in charge here on earth as to man's laws and because God has appointed Kings and Governors as bosses that as long as these men Kings and Governors says it is ok to divorce and remarry then capoosh just break The words of the Bible and go remarry as many times as we want because Kings and Governors tells us we can and we do not have to go by what the Bible says that yes we have the right to break up but not to marry again. This is a contradiction and no man has a right to overrule the Laws of God KINGS NOR GOVERNORS .. God nor Jesus has given no man the Power nor Authority to over rule what their Laws are, Yes Jesus knew the woman at the well had been married 5 times but he plainly said YOUR 1st husband is your husband. so then I take that as she only has 1 husband and has done what the Lord said to not do 4 times, or 5 if you want to consider the one she was having an affair with on the last . Jesus said YOUR 1ST HUSBAND IS YOUR HUSBAND.5 time adultress.

    Yes Leanna,

First of all we learn that before anything else existed God was eternally alive. Next we learn that the heavens and the earth were created by God alone from nothing that existed before these came to be. Third, we learn that God is all-powerful to be able to create from nothing everything that exists in our universe, including stars, planets, light, all matter, all natural laws, all forces, and all creatures and living plants. And next we learn that humans are created by God. Then we learn that God determined that all He had created was very good. So from this we come to know that God is perfectly good, because what is evil cannot make anything that is good.

I just want to add you might benefit greatly from watching some Greg Laurie videos on YouTube.

He went through a lot with a mother that married and divorced frequently; alcoholic. Greg talks about what his childhood was like.

We were young in the 80's with all the wild stuff in churches and how it hurt and confused Christians who wanted to live for God, the Bible way.

Greg and I both were involved in Street Ministry: me in Texas, NM, Oklahoma, and him in California. He's funny sometimes but an excellent Pastor now of Harvest Church. You'll like him.

    Hi Cheryl.

Here in the last few chapters in Deuteronomy we are seeing regulations for domestic and personal relations.

This passage of scripture speaks against asceticism. "asceticism, (from Greek aske: "to exercise," or "to train"), the practice of the denial of physical or psychological desires in order to attain a spiritual ideal or goal.

Application for this in our day in the middle ages there were groups saw the corruption in the world, and they separated themselves and went to the extreme and retired to monasteries and some became eunuchs.

It's a form of legalism taken to the extreme.

    Good Morning Believer

I am glad God had John write that verse. It tells us the purpose God had for the writing of the Gospels that tell us about the life of Jesus. The Gospels reveal Jesus as the Son of God, the Messiah, so that those who learn from these Gospels will believe on Him and be saved.

    JESUS'S TEACHING ON DIVORCE

    Matthew 19

3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for Every cause?

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, ( Genesis 2:23-24) that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the BEGINNING it was not so.

9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

[Wesley's Notes for Deuteronomy 24:1 Mosaic Law for Divorce]

Some uncleanness - Some hateful thing, some distemper of body or quality of mind not observed before marriage: or some light carriage, as this phrase commonly signifies, but not amounting to adultery. Let him write - This is not a command as some of the Jews understood it, nor an allowance and approbation, but merely a permission of that practice for prevention of greater mischiefs, and this only until the time of reformation, till the coming of the Messiah when things were to return to their first institution and purest condition.]

My best advise is to schedule a consult with your Pastor for prayer and conversation. If children are involved; they suffer emotional closeness issues later. I was divorced, raised the child alone; and never remarried in 39 years. I'm a widower now.

See if you can work things out and rediscover the love you once had.

    Mishael
