Galatians 4:4-5. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Revelation 5:2-9.
God bless.
Also check in Ecclesiastes.
God bless.
I'm not sure if there's any scripture supporting animals in heaven, It does mention animals being in the Millennium.
Perhaps someone can show us.
God bless.
Matthew 5:17-48 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
according to scripture, through His death and resurrection, the only thing he destroyed is the devil,
Hebrews 2:14 "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;"
and we don't try to commit broken fellowship or sin but until our gathering together its part of our walk of fighting
against the flesh i.e. o;d man nature.
Thank you. GB
fights, that's why we aren't changed instantly, the spirit did not give us a blood transfusion it gave us a spiritual
housecleaning and by changing our actions to Gods word which is our work we will become more like Christ I.E.
transformed by the renewed mind or putting on the mind of Christ.
hope Ephesians not gnostics and I do know what they stated. The scripture says we have been made alive by the
spirit that is not to say that our bodies are worth nothing now but before born again all out works were useless was what I was saying. What do you think the scripture says in Romans 7 is about, the battle between the new spiritual man and
the natural man of the 5 senses that was run by the world which is run by whom? That's what Paul was explaining to the corinthians we are saved by grace are you going to go back and now do works of the flesh lie cheat steal etc. Those are actions of the flesh that the old man nature was geared to do. So prayerfully that explains it.
I do not, however, see my body as junk, nor my mind, more my soul. These are what Jesus came to redeem from our sinful nature. Our bodies are not the sinful nature. So, the way God created us is good, yet now fallen. But in heaven we will have an incorruptible body, mind, and soul. We will be totally redeemed from sin in every part of us. So I do not speak of the natural part of me as negative. Sin has affected every part of us, but God loves us even in our fallen state and desires to set us all aright. The gnostics were a group that viewed what was physical about man as evil. That view was repudiated repeatedly. So, I just wanted to point that out to you as your statement seemed to reflect this gnostic viewpoint. But I think that you may mean something else, from what I know about you so far. We agree on more than we disagree about, and we keep each other on our toes when we seek more clarification or counter a point. It is all done in love. Bless You
and of breath life I.E. lungs breathing air to support oxygenation in blood.
Jesus Christs gospel can be found in the NT, and it's not a malleable message to fit someones vision, or to pick and choose what scripture to believe, and what to ignore. The Gospel is NOT to be massaged into something else to accommodate a worldly lifestyle.
Read it and believe!
the holy spirit. Everything was given by holy men of God or men that God ordained to write what he wanted
written. Where do angels fit into this? Gods angels or messengers are here to help people do what God wants
done. I.E. warn of danger sodom and gomorrah minister to Jesus christ bring messages of good tidings.
God foretold this to Abraham when He visited Abraham before destroying Sodom and Gommorah, renewing the covenant promises with Abraham, and saying that Sarah would get pregnant in her next cycle, (which happened)
God also told Abraham that the height of sin of the Amorites had not reached the point to where God was going to judge them. But at the time of the exodus, the Israelites brought that judgment on the Amorite.
There may be other reasons why God determined it to be 400 years, but it may have been to allow time for the Israelites to grow from one family/tribe to a nation large enough to drive out the nations n Canaan and possss the land as God promised. Even at several million , the Israelites had to continue to fight and contend with other people's to maintain control of the promised land. So perhaps this was a factor.
I agree with you. I Matthew 5-7 Jesus expounded on the commandments. He didn't expound on these commandments for us not to obey them. He taught on these so we can know God's higher moral righteousness he desires for those who follow Jesus.
While Judah was in Babylonian captivity, the Pharisees. Sadducees, Scribes, and Rabbinical order rose up, which was not proscribed by Moses. They began synogogue meetings at this time and wrote the books Tanack and Mishnah that interpreted the Torah and added religious practices on top of the Law of Moses that were binding on all Jews. Jesus came to abolish these practices along with the ceremonial ordinances and rules for community living for the Israelites. He never rescinded the moral Law of the 10 commandments. He summed them up in His two commands to love God and love others.
We do not earn our. Salvation from obeying the 10 commandments, Jesus obeyed them perfectly for us as well as always obeying His heavenly Father's will.
Paul speaks much about this, but Paul also speaks in his letters about the law of godliness he exhorts them to obey and if one researches law of godliness in Paul's letters one will find that he explains this law as moral practices he expects believers to obey by as they walk by the Spirit and not by he sinful nature.
Meant sin not son
And famine not fine.
But there are sincere believers in every type of fellowship and these are to fellowship in the situations God has led them to.
Also. Many believers are not well taught as far as doctrine goes. Many churches brag about being "nondoctrinaire". I steer. clear of those fellowships because this attitude breeds error and Paul repeatedly speaks strongly against error in doctrine and exhorts us to watch our doctrine closely to see if we are truly in the faith. He state and knew that incorrect doctrine can shipwreck one's faith and lead one into apostasy(which is very serious and perilous to come to). This is why we contend for the faith passed down: to protect our fellow believers from departing from the faith through false beliefs. I take this seriously. So avoiding addressing error for the sake of unity is not supported by Scripture. But we should strive for harmony and wish to be at peace with others as much as possible. Therefore, we should not quibble over things people eat, or such matters of Liberty, but should take a stand on teachings about the nature and works of God as a Trinity and about the person and work of our Savior Jesus Christ
Glad to see your interest in the difference between the old covenant and the Old Testament, as the old covenant was writing with the finger of God, the Old Testament was created by angels. We are first told this truth from Steven in Acts 7:53 he taught the law of Moses was given by the disposition of angels, then the apostle Paul taught in Galatians 3:19 the Old Testament was ordained by angels. These words are interchangeable, as they have the same meaning, to set in order, or to create, meaning, it was not God who created the Old Testament, it was the angels. When understanding that this law was destroyed by the Lord Jesus on Calvary from Ephesians 2:14-16 and Colossians 2:14-15 our focus must be only on those 613 laws regarding, the seven feasts of Israel, animal sacrifices, clean and unclean, new moons and sabbaths, and such like. We never refer to the prophecies that were written during that dispensation as part of the law being destroyed, as these were not the law of Moses at all. Just like Psalms and proverbs and so forth, these are not the Old Testament, they were written during that dispensation, but this does not make them part of that ceremonial law. Today we follow the New Testament and the new covenant, which are the Ten Commandments written in the heart, we also observe the gospel and the gospel of the kingdom, as Christians today, but we are forbidden to obey one Old Testament law as it will bring a curse upon Christians to obey all the O.T. Galatians 3:10 Therefore in conclusion, we understand the will of God today as follows, the gospel, the New Testament, the gospel of the kingdom and the new covenant. If you desire to learn the difference between any of these four categories which make up the will of God, please let me know and we can look into together. Stay blessed
Joseph did not cause his people to be enslaved, nor did he do It to pay back his brothers for their son against him. He forgave his brothers and invited them to come to Egypt during a lengthy fine across the lands in order to provide food and arible land for them in Goshen for their survival. Pharaoh at the time to was supportive of Joseph's family. So Joseph was chosen by God early in his life and he served God well despite the hardships he had to endure. God elevated Joseph to be second next to Pharaoh.
And God used this favor to bless the Istaelites.
God had foretold that Abraham's descendants would be in Egypt for all those years. They were there because God willed it. Jacob died in Egypt after live my there 60 years or so. Joseph and his brothers died in Egypt, too. Many generations passed by. Other Pharaohs came and went. Eventually, a Pharaoh ruled who did not favor the Istaelites and thus began their enslavement. I do think that by this time Israelites began adopting Egyption ways and idol worship (as the golden calf in Exodus demonstrates). God knew this would happen when He foretold this to Abraham.
God was using this enslavement to:
1) punish them for idolatry and for forsaking Him
2) to make them ready and will to leave the good land of Goshen to return to the land promised to the descendants of Abraham.
Perhaps you can go back and re-read about Joseph and the Israelites in Egypt.
Joseph was a good man and should not be disparaged by followers of God.
Amen, and well said.
I'm not surprised with this kickback against scripture. There is a large percentage of people today, preaching and believing false doctrine out there. Much of this doctrine is coming out of the Mega Churches, and the "feel good preachers". Their teachings, have no merit when held up to the light of scripture. They ignore tons of scripture, including the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are more interested in growing their congregations and bringing in vast amounts of money. In order to keep and grow their congregations, they tell people what they want to hear, and manipulate the scriptures to agree with their lies. People don't want to hear that they need to change their life and stop sinning. They want to continue living a worldly lifestyle and believe they will still get salvation, when the scripture clearly states otherwise.
Yes, the gate is strait, and narrow is the way - few will find it! Many today ignore this verse.
Matthew 7:14
"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Many also ignore:
Revelation 22:14
"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Jesus tells us Point Blank - if we don't keep his commandments we WILL NOT have the right to the tree of life! So we will not enter into Heaven.
A wise person "fears God' and in conjunction with the Holy Spirit will do their very best to avoid sin, and live a Christ like life, while producing good works and good fruit.
God Bless.
Chris gave you an excellent reply.
LORD (YHVH) has a face, but humans cannot look on it and live, Moses saw his back parts Exodus 33:20-23. If we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior and are sealed with the Holy Spirit, when all is new, we will see our LORDs face. Revelation 21:1-7 Revelation 22:4. We will see God and Jesus both, because they will be the temple, Revelation 21:22
God bless,
