It's written on the Holy Bible that God Is The Spirit, and only God Has alone Imortality, meaning that God has no biginning nor can die. He existed before any creature as a trine God, being the Alfa and the Omega, and this title belongs to Jesus Christ, as it's revealed on the last bible's book the Apocalipse.

As man i'm mortal as it's writen on ezequiel 18:4 the soul who sahll sin will die When God crested manking , Adam first god formed him from the earth materials, called dust, on gnesis, and then Having just formed a body, blew into man's nosthrils the breath of life, and Adam became a living soul. being able to think, breath and talk with God, without the learning process, by a miracle of God he became instantaneously an adult person, durin the week's formation of the others living creatures. The planet earth was void of life, and with life god prepared physical and material conditions to sustain life. It's writen on eclesiastes 9:5 that menkind is mortal and without emotions and being unable to have memory not knowing nothing about what hapens around the living world, in a situation of being inconscient like any other living creature, including satan when he wil perish, after the milleneum. After Jesus's ressurection He said to Mary, dont delai me because I haven't yet go to my Father. Jesus was realy dead, as lazarus whom He ressurected calling on a loud voice. Lazarus come out. Jesus through Paul I Corintians,15, teaches that Christian's hope is ressurection, as in I Tessalonians too.If Jesus was not dead and inconscient, during sabath after crucifictio, as a man, His substitut sacrifice woul be invalid, bacause. He didn't went to heaven that day, because he sufered sin's penalty wich is death.

Satan's liye has been repeated since the first spiritism apearence to Eve. God is God of the living not the dead. Our oportunity is now while living. Jesus in parabol teaches, that there is an abiss between living and dead. Calvary's man raised up from death

Hi Eric. Good to see you back here & still in deep study of the Word. Wonderful.

It would have been very interesting & noteworthy if that murderer who was spared, & Jesus Who was put to the Cross in his place, became a team-mate to Saul (Paul), but unfortunately that was not so. I think you're referring to Barabbas who was due to be crucified that day ( Luke 23:13-25; and Apostle John refers to Barabbas as a robber, John 18:40). We know that Barabbas had several charges against him: sedition, murder & also robbery, showing how much anger the Jews had in their hearts against Jesus, that such a criminal as Barabbas was thought more worthy of freedom than their Messiah Who only did good to them & came to give His Life for them.

And then we have Barnabas, as you mentioned, with a similar sounding name to Barabbas. Barnabas' actual name was Joseph, but he was called Barnabas because he was known for being an encourager & consoler ( Acts 4:36). And you will learn many more good things about him as you go through the Book of the Acts of the Apostles. Keep up the good work Eric.

Dear Pam in peace today I got this word, please I ask that you find wisdom and understanding, so that you do not get lost in all the offers that exist today about one thing and then the other issues that people talk about. We who know the truth, we who believe in Jesus Christ.

It is always good to stick to what you have learned. Then we hope that faith in Jesus is the main thing.

    1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

God bless u in Jesus Name. His Holiness will last forever.

Is this the same Barnabas, the murderer, released instead of Jesus? Wow what a twist if so. Makes sense for him to team up with Saul who hunted the disciples and now is a man of God.

Dear sister in peace u say we are water baptized in the name of the Father, and if the Son , and if the Holy Spirit. What do you mean by "if"?

1 Timothy 2:4 4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

God bless u in Jesus Name.

Dear Jocelynne Bell i peace. Of course you can ask questions fine you. And when it comes to Jesus' return, He Himself has said what signs we should look for in Matthew 24.

And Paul also talks about that time in 1 Timothy 4:

    1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

See also Revelation and see if you can find anything about the end times there. Day, time and year do not matter. What we need is to know that Jesus Christ is in the heart.

God bless u in Jesus Holy Name.

    Alex,

You are talking about ceremonial washing spoken of in Leviticus. These were not what John was doing. There was no command in the Law for people to be baptized for repentance.

John was introducing something altogether new that had been revealed to Him by God for that specific time.

We do not know all that God revealed to Him as he was a prophet because it wasn't recorded. The peoplecoming to him to be baptized were not following any OT ceremonial law. They new John was ushering something new and recognized God's hand in it.

I continue to be amaze at people posting on this site speaking as though they know the minds and hearts of John and the apostles, passing judgment disparaging them.

We don't know what God did in their minds and hearts, but He was not ineffective nor impotent. Humility is in order when speaking about these godly men chosen by God for the most important work in all of history. We serve an awesome God.
  • Jocelynne Bell on Genesis 19 - 4 years ago
I know this has nothing to do with Genesis, but I didn't know if I can ask questions from my heart, but if we don't know when the Lord is going to come to earth, which I know is called Judgement Day, how do we know he died in the first place?
  • Gigi - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Hi

I get what you are saying about ceremonial washing a, but they were different than john's baptism and for the Lord's baptism by John

    Jesus was not a Levite,

So he would not have done a MIKVAH ceremony.

His baptism was not for what you said. He was not eligible to serve in the priesthood.

It was not a MIKVAH for Him.

Just want to keep things proper and not put into Scripture that is not there, nor is referenced back to this event by any other Scripture.

Let's just believe that Jesus was water baptized and the whole Godhead was present for it, just as when we are water baptized in the name of the Father, and if the Son , and if the Holy Spirit.

You cannot possibly say you know what the apostles knew and understood before Pentecost. The Scripture said that Jesus expounded the Scriptures fro Mosrs on to that present time, teaching them and equipping them to be ready to preach the gospel when the Spirit empowered them at Pentecost.

I just don't think we are in a place to evaluate what the apostles knew and understood.

    Only Jesus knew that.

These men were by far heads above most of us, having walked with Jesus for three years and having met with Him repeatedly between the resurrection and Ascension. I don't think Jesus was ineffective in His teaching nor without the power to effect understanding in th before Pentecost. These men went on to be martyred. We've got nothing on them, in my opinion

    Hi Rick

I agree that God is about Life.

But there are times when we have a new one for just a short time.

My grand niece was diagnosed in utero as being anacephaly.

Her brain did not develop properly. Most of these babes miscarriage early in pregnancy, but this dear one went all nine months and was minutes from being delivered when she died. If she would have survived birth, she would have lived just hours or a few days.

My nephew and his wife knew this and were advised to abort early on, but they are pro-life and wanted to give this babe the same opportunity at life as any other babe.

They were prepared to let God have her at His timing.

They have a wonderful testimony and had a special photographer take a beautiful picture of her once she was delivered even tough she had passed. She was named and held and loved.

So what a respectful way to accept God's sovereign choice to have this babe be with Him right away.

I can't say that her anomaly was from the devil or from the Lord's choice of her DNA.

But in all of it, she was honored, and God was glorified

Hazel. There's no word such as 'tearfun'. Do you know where you saw the word in the Bible or in what context? The only words that come to mind that are similar are: tearful (eyes filling with tears), Tear Fund (the Christian charity), & teraphim.

If it is the latter, then the teraphim (as in Judges chapters 17 & 18), were small idols or images that unfortunately were a carry-over from heathen influence & worship, and these were sometimes kept in Israeli households for obtaining an answer from God, especially if no priest of God was available. If this is not what you're seeking, please give us more details.

Genesis 18 is about two things. The promised seed to

Abraham through Sarah and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah where Lot had moved to.

In Genesis 13:14-17 God promises to Abraham and his seed the land of Canaan. Abraham and Sarah did not have any children and Sarah was past the age of having children. But with God nothing is impossible. In Genesis 21 Sarah has a son as God said through the angel. As far as the promise of the land to Abraham that is still to happen. Consider Hebrews 11:8-12 and then 39-40. This promise has not been fulfilled yet. This will not happen until Jesus returns to this earth and sets up his kingdom. Consider the Lords prayer. "Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as in heaven.

Hello again Mr. Rutkin, I was just now reading John 10:10-16,

Yesterday I sent my reply even though I felt it half completed of all the scriptural references I would have liked to include of resemblances within the New Testament. It was very late & I knew it was a good stopping point of study. If you would like those, please let me know.

I am glad Rick responded about David's sin because that is frequently a thought worth addressing, when discussing, how? Why? David was addressed as "a man after mine own heart" Acts 13:22. I have many views & some scriptures on that issue; If you would like those too.

However to just address Acts 13:22,

    Today I found another powerful reference: John 10:11,12,15, David's similarly 1 Samuel 17:34,35,36,37, 1 Chronicles 21:17,

    Matthew 18:11-14,

Again, please let me know if you would like more New Testament scriptures.

    Hopefully this was helpful.

    Hello Rick,

A little humor is always good. Yes, SEISMOS is where we get our English word seismic from. So this would tell us that there was a great earthquake in the sea. In this very same section ( Matthew 8:26), when the disciples come to Jesus in a panic telling Him that they were going to perish, Jesus says to them, why are ye fearful?

The word fearful in Greek is not the word for fear. It is the word that means to be without courage. Why are you without courage, O little faith ones?

Remember in Joshua Chapter 1, He told Joshua to be of courage? He is saying to face life with courage. Why? Because I'm with you wherever you go. That is the Lord's message to us. The Lord is in the boat. What do they think? Do they think that they are going to sink and drown and He is going to drown too? It won't happen!

Brother, we're put in situations all the time where it looks like our boat is going to sink. Do you ever feel like that? Do you ever feel like your boat is going to sink? Sometimes I do. But our boat can't sink. It is impossible! Nothing can separate us from Christ or Him from us. So He asked them, why are you without courage?

Then He rose up, rebuked the winds and the sea, and there is a great calm. Instantaneous, just like all the other miracles! When Jesus got through, the other Gospel writers said it was with a word. He silenced nature within a split-second, within the blink of an eye. Everything was as if nothing ever happened. No left over stuff you know? It was instantaneous.

I have enjoyed this conversation with you, thanks!!!

jesse I absolutely agree with the denominational viewpoint because key words in key places in the original text

can totally effect how and what someone believes. I had an experience before knowing anything except Jesus

Christ healed loved raised the dead and God was telling and showing him what to do. So I went to listen to this

Evangelist share and everything was cool until he told the story of a Missionary couple doing Gods work and they

had a son who died shortly after birth and God killed the baby to teach them a lesson. Anybody can tell me

anything they want but that in no way shape or form will I buy. God is the author of Life so when I left walked up

and looked at the guy who taught and he said whats wrong and I said my God didn't take a baby, and I left. That's

the kind of stuff I don't buy because John 10:9 the thief cometh but to steal kill and destroy, I am come Jesus Christ

that they may have life and have it more abundantly. So I'll stick with the scripture.

Bro dan... Thank you !! I really love your reply's !! Yes I found Gods Church... it is so awesome !!

we are having Revival this week ..Wed-Thurs-Fri...& Sun..it's gonna be great !

thanks for reassuring me about my mom..for I really want her to come with me..she was raised Southern Baptist..I pray for her to come along with my sister Lisa, who dose believe in God but shes out in the world ..like I used to be...well I can just keep praying and working on them and if God willing they will hear the call ...yes Jesus is Awesome !! and all powerful !!

He is already working in our lives and it is just absolutely amazing !..Have a Blessed day Bro dan :)

For anyone else reading this: I urge anyone who really wants to know God to keep praying and he will answer your prayer no not ..immediately, or anything, but keep praying and asking God for what you truly need... it's not just about believing and staying at home and doing your own way..it has to be "His" way...again not trying to sound all knowing or anything..I have only been saved 6 months...I'm a "Baby" in the Church...as they call it...a new convert..I have changed my ways and my son has too..if we can do it anyone can...for we loved marijuana and whiskey and watching Hollywood movies too.. but thats not "True" living"..The Holy Bible is a history book..everything in it is "Truth"

    Rick,

I agree about much being missed. English is such a general language and it's the same with Hebrew. But Greek is a very exact language. It's hard to come up with more than one meaning of what the Greek text is saying. I think the Lord knew what He was doing by using an exact language (Koine Greek) when the New Testament was written. Since most of the NT is teaching and doctrine, we needed a language that was exact.

Can you imagine if it were first written in English? I honestly believe that's why we have so many different denominational churches today. It's because people cannot agree on what the English text is saying because it is such a general language and words can have multiple meanings. Here's a poor example on my part, but if our English bible says the sky is blue, I would argue that it's speaking of the color of the sky. Another believer would argue that the sky is blue meaning sad.

Something else I think gets missed is that 1 Corinthians was written as a correctional letter to a corrupt church, not an instructional letter on how the church should run today.

I also read your testimony about your son. The Lord is good!!!

I was always told the Vaccination, were unclean. that the best way to care for the body was to eat as healthy as one could to stay healthy. eating of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, ECT...drinking the purified water as one could to help with the body of illness, diseases, ECT...

not eating of fat fried foods, sugar, pops, ECT..., junk.

As I do believe this would be the way to go herbs, n eating healthy,

    Thank you, all be well

Yes, Bro Dan. We are saved by Jesus. We are given grace that produces faith in us to believe in Jesus and the truth of all of what He did to redeem us. None of us on this forum say otherwise. Yet, once we come into this salvation, we also have grace that empowers us to live for God according to the holy way He proscribes. ( Titus 2:11-12)

When you and I speak of water baptism, we are not substituting this rite for anything Jesus has done for out salvation. But, many who reject it continue to accuse us of doing so. But, here, again I state it so no one will misconstrue what my viewpoint. When we speak of water baptism, you and I know that this was the apostolic practice in all of the churches in the first century and continued to be the practice for new believers throughout the centuries up to this day. Those who say this is not so are at odds with the historical witness of the church written about again and again throughout the church age. Those who say that the word baptism means something different in the original Greek are not referring to the most common definition used during those centuries. They are using a definition that suits their viewpoint. I do not believe them on this.

The handful of us who have posted on this site to support water baptism are appealing to readers to consider that if one testifies to be "in Christ" and wishes to live His way, then certainly one should be willing to do what He asks of us and comply with what He demonstrated for us in His own baptism and command to the apostles to baptize believers in the way He has done, which was water baptism. I am sure that all of the apostles, disciples, and Paul, wo were called to spread the gospel knew exactly what Jesus meant when He said to baptize new believers. It was water baptism, just as they all were water baptized. I doubt any of them did anything else in lieu of water baptism. They knew and acknowledged that ALL authority was given to Jesus, so none of them could change is command

Jesse In regards to the word gifts or charisma or grace, all grace is of Gods unmerited favour because of

what was accomplished by Jesus Christ. Which is why this time we live in is called the Age of Grace Gods

unmerited Divine favour to us who believe through Christ we are to walk in that divine favour operating the

spiritual abilities given by grace of God. It won't be pretty when Father closes this time down in His word.
