Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
God bless,
RLW
All glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
As always,
God's blessings to you. We are in this together.
Sorry, but I never said what anyone can or cannot say on this site. If you think I did, please refer me to it. I just happen to be presenting a viewpoint that you and others may not agree with. I tolerate the views of other, even as I write responses where I differ. I would ask that people do the same to me.
I am not on this site to argue to persuade others. I am on this site to have an opportunity to dialogue about with others on the subjects that come up on the comments section. part of dialoguing includes presenting different opinions and points of view. It is not arguing, but healthy interchanges to help with clarifying biblical truths.
I welcome a response from you.
I think we agree that there is only one triune God. But Jesus, is athe Only "Begotten" Son of God, not because He lived a perfect life, but because He has always been The Only "begotten" Son from eternity to eternity, one in Being with the Father and the Son. Created beings can never be "begotten" by God. We are adopted as sons of God. There is a difference in my opinion.
Yes, I agree. God speaks to us all through His written word. But He also speaks to us individually as you properly stated. But one thing is for certain, He's not going to tell one person one thing, and then tell another person something opposite. To those who are "looking down their nose" at you, I say shame on them. What believer has the right to question and ridicule something the Lord is either persuading you to do or not do?
On a side note, on one of your other posts asking the meaning of "red flag", I think that would be the same as saying there are alarm bells going off. I'm not too sure what "a bit of a storm in a tea cup" means but I think I like it!
The words says Christ IS CREATING you in his image, you have no problem believing Christ, who is created in his Father's image, is god, why can't you believe you also will be god.
The saints are going to judge the earth, with Christ, the word says all judgement was given to the Son, you are going to be a Son, like Christ, a body holding the FULLNESS OF GOD; this is how you will be able to judge the world with Christ.
I for one am not going to beat Judas up. What Judas did was in fulfillment of prophecy. However, I do not believe that Judas ever received salvation prior to committing suicide. I know the bible says that Judas repented, but the word repent (METAMELOMAI) used in that instance is not the same word for true repentance (METANOEO) as in making a decision to change the direction of your life and surrendering your life to Christ.
Although, he is definitely an interesting character to study. From all biblical and historical accounts, Judas was evil from the time Christ chose him, all the way up to his death. I believe Jesus had to choose an evil man to fulfil an evil deed. Just my thoughts!
What is fascinating to me is that when the twelve were sitting at the table with Jesus and He says "Didn't I choose you all, and one of you is a devil." He was speaking of Judas. But what is interesting is that they all asked the same question, "Is it me?"
You would think that after three years together in close fellowship, one of them would have whispered to the other "You know, that Judas guy seems sort of suspect." But they didn't know. What is even scarier to think about is how many Judas' do we have in our church fellowships today? How many in our congregations look, act, and sound like believers, but yet are still void of the indwelling Spirit of Christ in them? Scary thought, but something to think about!
I would guess that all Jews believe in Jesus, but not all agree on who He claimed to be. For those who do agree with His claims and have received Him as their Messiah, those would be called Messianic Jews.
Hope that helps .
You cannot partake in their sins or you are no better than them , we are to be an example of a person in Christ , not a sinner .
Only by the grace of God and obedience to his word is that possible and we are to be that for them to see . We can not keep doing the same old sins . Or we are just hypocrites.
Jesus sat with sinners to win them and they did not have much time to decide to believe in him or not . He never condone sin but revealed it to them , many sought to kill him for doing that , some repented and changed .
I hope that helps !
I agree. Jesus Christ is our blessed hope ( Titus 2:13). 1 Corinthians 15:14 also comes to mind.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 ...also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
They had to eat of the TREE OF KNOWLEDGE (of good and evil). And God said, Behold, thy have become like one of us, they must have KNOWLEDGE (of good and evil) to be like God. God made sure they would eat of the TREE OF KNOWLEDGE by making creation subject to vanity.
Romans 8:20 For the creature was MADE subject to vanity, NOT WILLINGLY, but by reason (PURPOSE) of him who hath subjected the same in hope.
There is only one throne:
Revelation 3:21 He that overcometh will I (Christ) grant to sit with me (Christ) on my throne, even as I (Christ) overcame, an am set down with my Father own his throne.
John 17:21 That they all may be ONE, as thou, Father, art in me, and I in you, that they also may be ONE in us: that the world may believe that thou has sent me.
I have heard it taught that his Job kids doubled as well. Apparently they were saved. you don't loose a love one if He/She is going to Heaven and so are you. as King David said about his baby " Someday I will go to Him! 2 Samuel 12:23.
Those seven is still his kids along with the seven mentioned in Job 42:13.
Giving him 14 in total, and he's probably with all 14 now.
God bless.
