Brother Chris The problem with what your asking is a lot of times prophecy isn't public in Gods word many times men or women were given prophetic info privately. I have yet to hear from any so called well known individuals that what they say as prophecy comes to pass. That being said I fully appreciate where your coming from. It reminds me of Isaiah and Jeremiah where God ask Judea and Israel why are you listening to false prophesies from the gods they were worshipping.

The false prophets promised abundance but the true God said to return to Him.

    Isaiah 61:1 (The Prophesy)

    The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Luke 4:18 (The prophesy fulfilled by Jesus)

    >The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Note: there are 7,146 scriptures referencing Jesus and others, anointed.

Jesus did no miracles until he turned the water into wine.

The purpose of the anointing is described in the 2 verses I provided.

It is the Holy Spirit who anoints Jesus's followers.

If the thing that people prophesy does not come to pass, do not follow them.

The anointing is not for self enrichment.

The office of Apostle is bestowed upon those who have seen the risen Christ with their eyes.

Apostle Paul saw Jesus. Open your fingers. The Five Fold Ministry is the thumb, touching all other fingers: prophet, teacher, pastor, evangelist.

I believe the office of Apostle are most likely to be missionaries in this day and age. They aren't enshrined in ivory towers, dripping in gold and riches. Think about it. They give everything they have to the work of the ministry.

That's all I'm gonna say. No comments necessary.

  • Jode on Revelation 13 - 4 years ago
In Rev 13, he "causeth all" to take a mark. Causeth, is not free will, causeth is forced..and there is no opt out option, it say ALL, as in all people will be forced to take this mark. Australia is going door to door, and forcing, no free will, all, as in all citizens to take this mark. This mark, in Australia is not a medicine. For Rev 18:23, says that the reason the Harlot (all the merchants) will be destroyed, was directly related to her sorcery deception.sorcery means pharmekia..people had been deceived by pharmekia. Deceived how? To take a forced jab by pharmekia? It's quite obvious by now, there is a grand deception taking place, and people are facing the "causeth" when wicked people show up at their door to inject wickedness into their bodies. These verses, do not say Christians are exempt, but, without this mark, there will be no participation in the system at all. Why are we seeing all these things happen now? I learned that all these things will take place during the tribulation, up what we clearly see happening, is not really the mark because there is no antichrist. Things are all out of sequence. So.is it possible, that Tartaria had been the millennium kingdom, and we are actually in the little season? After all, the CIA released documents in the 1940's that stated stated, Tartaria had existed, and had been blotted out of history, and maps.to cover up the crimes of humanity against the people of Tartaria. The Tartaians even had coins stamped with either an I for Iesus, or a J for Jesus, plus the date. If we stop and think about it.after the 1000 years of peace, the short season kicked off with the loosening of Satan from his pit, and the first country to fall was Tartaria, then the inquisition to murder Christians, then world wars, and all hell as been unleashed. This is not earths first great reset, but one of any. How do all that we see taking place today, fit into the Bible? There seems to be a misunderstanding of bible sequence. I'm confused.

Hi Glenn There were more men called out in the genealogy of Christ that were nomad shepherds than farmers, just an observation.

I want to see this chapter protrayed in the show, The Chosen. How could they not know it was Jesus. Was his faced covered for the two decibels to not know it was him?
  • David - In Reply on 1 Samuel 19 - 4 years ago
Hi T. Lewis What we read in Samuel is a record of Gods anointing Saul then losing the spirit and kingdom then God anoints David with the spirit and Saul goes really south because he tries to kill Gods new Leader david and God and other men of God I.E. prophets.
  • Rick - In Reply on Psalms 68 - 4 years ago
Hi Chris With all due respect you appear that unless you experience something you don't believe, this is not me being critical just an observation brother. The other side of the coin is as I shared with people just because you had an experience doesn't make it of the true God because experience is no guarantee for truth it must line up with Gods Word. May God continue to guide our spiritual footsteps.

As I read this chapter I see the footage of the Passion of the Christ in my head.

Remove this cup from me father if it be your will not mine. This tells me Jesus didn't want to go through with it. Asking for another way.

This book has more detail than previous book of Mathew and Mark.

Hi Jackie Since God is Spirit scripturally his attributes are made made known by figures of speech, this figure is in human characteristics [known as condescension] where God is communicating at mans level. When he used sat in the contexted it was completed, the same was used when Jesus Christ sat at Gods right hand, also on the day of pentecost the spirit sat on each of the apostles it was a completed work. This is just one example of figures of speech, others are the face of God or the Hand of God or as Jesus Christ said by the finger of God. There are over 400 different figures of speech used in the scripture. Tremendous area for research and understanding.

Chris The problem with what your asking is will it be believed and that being said I'm going on to something else God Bless, I choose to believe then see some choose to see then believe.
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
You're quite correct Jackie, God is not man that He should grow physically weary & in need of rest. The word that is used for 'rest in Exodus 20:11 has a number of uses. It certainly implies rest because of tiredness, but also speaks of 'coming into quietness & a cessation of work'.

We can see this use also in Joshua 21:44, "And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand". The children of Israel finally settled in the Promised Land & their enemies were subdued before them. As men & women, they may have been physically tired from all they experienced after leaving Egypt, but the "rest" they received from the Lord was the final peace & quietness they yearned for. So God ceased from all His creative Work, as His people ceased from their wanderings & warrings (in these two Scriptures).
  • Celeste a word student on Zechariah 7 - 4 years ago
I've come to understand Zechariah is not a condemnation of fasting, but rather a wake-up call to examine our heart, that it is pure and guiding us to treat one another with true judgement, without malice. We (Christians) are called to be merciful to all others, particularly the vulnerable. To the degree that we do not, our fasting is in vain.

It's writen ... And the sin is that THE LIGHT came into the world, but they prefered darkness ... I'm THE LIGHT, THE WAY and THE TRUTH... If you don't believe that " I am", your sin remains ... verily verily, I say unto you, before Abraham existed, I AM! Jesus said; no one knows The Father, but The Son, and no one knows The son, but only that one unto whom The Father wants to reveal Him and Whosoever sees Me, sees The Father. Why (then) do you ask me, show us The father?. The good thief at the cross, asked Jesus;" Lord, remember of me, when You wil return in Your Kingdom". He just asked by faith on THE FAITH of JESUS THE LORD!

To The name of Jesus be The Glory, The Honor and The Power, for ever! men! Because He is THE GOD Almighty, with The Father and The Holy Ghost. THE only one that is GOOD!

  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
I'm sorry that I can't take this matter further as I have no better answer to give than what I just shared. I don't see any biological connection to any of mankind - the only connection is the ancestral one only because of Mary bearing this Holy Spirit prepared embryo. Christ had to come this way, rather than mysteriously popping up somewhere, so as to fulfil the prophecies that went before Him & to become a Man for ultimately the suffering of death. It is my belief that this embryo was wholly from God & Mary provided the sustenance for it & to be the means for its presentation.

I can't see anything in the Scriptures showing that David's son, Nathan or his name, will have anything to do with the Lord's Coming. Acts 1:10,11, "And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." The Jesus Who was crucified & ascended into Heaven, will return again in like manner still with the nail prints in His Hand. I'm sorry to disappoint - no Nathan or his namesake - only Jesus.
  • Chris - In Reply on Psalms 68 - 4 years ago
Thanks brother Rick for reiterating that point. This matter has come up several times before, to which I've addressed, no one yet has put up his hand to give some examples of someone's special calling or proofs to be God's prophet, nor samples of their public addresses to which I might relate or have a better understanding. To that end, I will have to hold onto my understanding until I'm led further into the other side of the matter, or if someone can share something of present-day prophecy.

GOD is amazing & never stops teaching us!! I glanced over this discussion/comment yesterday because at 1st glance it appeared your question was answered. Today I was replying to another question me & David we commenting on. While I researched deeper, it lead me back to one of the scriptures you're referring to 1 Samuel 19:24,

I felt lead to discuss this deeper with you. In context David was fleeing for his life from Saul : 1 Samuel 19:1,9,10,11,15, ( like 5 attempts? ),

1 Samuel 19:18, Saul then "sent messengers to take David" 1 Samuel 19:20,21, they prophesied

then Saul went himself, 1 Samuel 19:22 , 1 Samuel 19:24 it appears to me GOD supernaturally stopped Saul.

Interestingly Saul prophesied the 1st time after Samuel had anointed him king possibly 5 miles away from Ramah. 1 Samuel 10,

Romans 11:29 in NIV "irrevocable" replaces ' repentance '

Hopefully this informative in your study.

    Good evening, Chris.

Thanks again. One thing my husband and I always remember is that God did bring us together, so in the rough times, how can we throw away what God has put together? We are keenly aware that we hold the other's future hopes and dreams in our hands by our choice to stay true to our commitment made on our wedding day. To break that and leave the marriage is to chose to shatter and steal away this future from the other person. We chose the way of "loving the other as myself" approach even when life is challenging. And besides, there really isn't anyone else so suited for each other than we are.

I became a great, great aunt 7 years ago. That makes me feel old, and I am not yet a grandmother! HaHa.

I thank you for reading my thoughts as I think "outloud" as I write about these chapters. It is good to have feedback and know that another is walking along with me in this endeavor. Most of the postings on the chapters are past being able to reply to, so I hope there will be others beginning their journey to interact with as well.

    welcome

Gift of god means Nathan could this be for shadowing that Nathan be name of Jesus in his second coming
  • Fred - In Reply - 4 years ago
Thx but still could it be Nathan as second coming and if Jesus was David's then that would make them step brothers to jesus
  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 24 - 4 years ago
Indeed GiGi, that was a beautiful love story in Genesis chapter 24, coupled with a special account of your beautiful personal love story. We can always look back & find joy in how the Lord has led us over the years, not just for marriage, but in every area of our lives; that the our praise only goes back to Him.

As well, I can identify with the 'one generation removed'. I thought becoming a grand-uncle at age 40 yrs was good going, until I read of your brother being an uncle at age 6. I'm sure he's never let his nephews/nieces forget that one!
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hello Fred. In Matthew 22:41-46, we receive a great answer from Jesus on this:

"While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions."

Quoting from Psalm 110:1, Jesus points out to the Pharisees that even though He came in David's lineage (Matthew chapter 1 & Luke chapter 3 reveal this), His position before God & man, had its roots way back in eternity than what they supposed him to be. The Pharisees were left dumb-founded with Jesus' answer, because they knew the Scripture ( Psalm 110:1); how could David infer in this Psalm that his biological son would sit on the throne, when he (David) spoke of him as his Lord?

Even if David, Solomon, Nathan, etc. would have been mentioned in the Psalm, the fact remained that though Jesus had his ancestral roots through Mary (she bearing the Child) & Joseph, thus fulfilling prophecy, His coming to Earth was wholly from God & therefore had no biological connection to King David's sons. If there was a biological connection, then the sin nature in man would have been transmitted as well to Jesus, which refutes other Scriptures. Also, Psalm 110:4 states, "The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek", and this position no man on Earth could ever fulfil, as Jesus had no beginning or ending of days, resembling King Melchizedek, for whom there was no record known ( Hebrews 7:3).

Only reason I would say that Nathan son of David is going be name of Jesus in his second coming because Nathan means gift from god so i take the gift as being when Nathan gets bathized he will become Jesus like just an idea
