    Thank you, Adam!

Exactly the points I was attempting to convey in my posting.

To heaven, back to the clouds with Christ, back to heaven, and to be judged just does not compute.

If you will go on Google, Type:

    James 2 Commentary

There are many commentators on this book. Most like Matthew Henry; but generally Bible Hub does a good job too.

The KJV website has Commentaries but you have to learn how to access it through the Search Box.

(It sits below what verse you put in the search box)

Wish Admin would put the Commentary on the Red Link List :)

By what name was john baptizing?

    Reference;

    Mathew 28;18-19.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, "baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"

    Thank you.

    No one is denying Enoch

He was a servant of god

And went to heaven without dieing

The problem is who wrote the book of Enoch

Because the book of Enoch is full of inconsistencies with the inerrant word of god

There is no reason to believe Enoch

    Wrote the book of enoch

And whoever did did Enoch and God a grace dis service

Just because a book was found does not mean the writer was a believer or servant of god

As you know their many false profits and satan decided

I am not saying Enoch himself was a false profit

He was a man of god

But not the writer of the book that bears his name

We live in days when people pretty much wear anything they want to. Unless you attend a Pentecostal Church or Southern Baptist; you can wear pants or slacks.

(Outside Church), Men are going to look. More important to your look, is not to dress worldly. The KJV Bible has plenty of scriptures that warn to not tantalize the opposite sex.

In 2021, it's ok to carry a can of mace in your bag or backpack. Air horns aren't that expensive.

Be aware of your surroundings. Choose well lit paths. Walk alongside a group.

If someone is acting confrontational, go inside of a building or restaurant. Get a description: age height clothing hair eyes, colors.

Don't make eye contact. Pray for God to send you an angel to walk you home.

Why do some people keep saying

    There in no god

That jesus was not god in the form of man

    They believe only In themselves

And the great scientist and the great non Christian philosophers

But they do so with anonymity in their hearts

When jesus was clearly on this earth

And died on the cross and arose and ascended into heaven

How can they deny gods creation

And their is clear evidence of everything in the Bible

How can they be so blind that they cannot see

And close their minds so tight that

They refuse to listen to loving witnesses of Christians and Christians continue to sacrifice as servants of god

Even to the point of losing their lives for our creator

Hi Chris It does not say demand tribute or taxes, and the sword is Gods word. Verse 4 For he is the minister of God for good that cannot apply to any government of man, and once again this is written in the context of the church epistles, I.E. apostles prophets evangelists pastors and teachers. Also the sword you mention in the immediate context is against those that do evil.

According to first Corinthians 11 should a woman cover her head when she prays or prophesies either in her own private prayer and devotion time, or in public gatherings? And according to first Corinthians 14:34 should a woman keep silent in church?
  • The TWO ENOCHS__by Mishael - In Reply on Genesis 9 - 4 years ago
Enoch (Hebrew: meaning "initiated") is a name in the Hebrew Bible used by two separate figures who lived during the generation of Adam.

The first Enoch was the son of Cain.

He is described as a son of Cain, and father of Irad. After Cain arrived in the Land of Nod, to which he was evicted by the Lord as his punishment for murdering his brother Abel. His wife became pregnant and bore Cain's first child, whom he named Enoch.

The SECOND Enoch was a descendant of SETH, the third son of Adam, and great-grandfather of NOAH ( Genesis 5:22-29). Seth is the bloodline of Jesus Christ ancestors and Must Not be Confused with Cains ancestor.

First Book of Enoch was at first accepted in the Christian Church but later excluded from the biblical canon. Its survival is due to the fascination of marginal and heretical Christian groups, such as the Manichaeans, with its syncretic blending of Iranian, Greek, Chaldean, and Egyptian elements.

Justin, Athenagoras, Irenaeus, Clemens Alexandrinus, Lactantius, and others borrowed an opinion out of this Book of Enoch, that the angels had connection with the daughters of men, of whom they had offspring (Nephilim: 'the giants of the past'). Tertullian, in several places, speaks of this book with esteem; and would persuade us, that it was preserved by Noah during the deluge. The Book of Enoch, however, was rejected by Origen, Jerome and Augustin as spurious.

Mishael comment: there is Much confusion as to the First Enoch, son of CAIN (who was cursed by God), in Genesis.

Thanks guys for commenting. I'm still in limbo on the true biblical answer about my question. I've read the Songs of Solomon scriptures etc. I still don't have my answer. I'm still at the same point. Are you being a sodomite by participating in oral sex period. Some dictionaries again include oral sex as the definition for sodomite. If you're doing what lesbians and homosexuals do how can oral sex be Holy? I'm not married but I'm planning on getting married again one day. This will be my second marriage my first husband and I did not participate in oral sex. He died of Covid while we were separated that's why I'm looking to be married again. I want to be true to my husband on sexual matters But Jesus is first in All things in my life. I guess when I find a sound definition of what a sodomite is I'll have my answer. I'm also going to seek the answer from the Holy Spirit. Sometimes good things are just being made wicked by the devil. That's why you must pray about all things.

scriptures on a website and wanted to make sure I did it accurately.

    Thanks for responding!

The prophecy in Zechariah 8:20-23 speaks of the future time, in the Millenium period, when Israel, who once rejected God & His Messiah, will truly come to know Him & adore Him. Such will be their joy & testimony, that even the nations around will be aware of this change & the blessings upon them - the heathen will "come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem & to pray before the LORD" (v22). They will even cling to Israel in the future (v23), when once Israel was a hated & despised people.

In Daniel 11:32 however, we see an earlier part of Jewish history; verses 21-35 speaks of a Grecian King, Antiochus IV Epiphanes (career from 175-164 BC), who made several expeditions into Egypt (vv24-27), & then turned his hatred onto Israel (v28). In venting his anger upon the Jews, Antiochus declared the Mosaic ceremonies illegal & erected in the Holy Place a statue of Zeus (v31). Some Jews resisted him & were martyred (vv32,33). As evil as this king was to the Jews, we also get a picture of this king's antitype, in the Anti-Christ who will once again come upon the Jews (vv36-45). Here again, the Jews will suffer badly for their rejection of the True God & His Christ, but will one day in the future, will worship Him through the Name above all names, & as we read in the Zechariah portion, they will be mighty witnesses for Christ Jesus.

So these two passages show how hard the hearts of Israel are & the change coming. Despite so many prophetical warnings, as well as the Son of God presenting Himself to them to alert them, making God real before their eyes, even giving His Life for them, they still remained blinded & deaf to the patient Call of God. But one day they will know & see the One Whom they pierced ( Zechariah 12:10; Revelation 1:7) & full blessing will be restored to them, as even to those who call on Jesus now.

  • Chris - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 1 - 4 years ago
Hello Free. I'm sorry that I missed your comment to me, but will address it now. My apologies.

In 1 Corinthians chapter 11, the apostle is speaking about this relationship within the New Covenant. Before Jesus came to Earth as a babe, the Bible tells us that He was the Word of God ( John 1:1-14). In other words, God manifested Himself to His people, Israel, through the giving of His Word & by His Spirit through His prophets. But now in these last days (i.e. New Covenant days - post Cross), He has spoken to us by His Son, that Word Who was made Man ( Hebrews 1:1,2).

So, now when we see Jesus, He is seen (in the NT), as God made flesh, died, buried, resurrected, & ascended to sit at the Father's right Hand ( Luke 22:69; Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 10:12). Jesus holds within Himself the full divinity of God His Father, all His Glory, & receives all the worship ( Hebrews 1:6; Revelation 5:12), but He now remains distinct in 'bodily' form because of His incarnation. And this is a picture of how we will be when translated to live in Heaven ( 1 John 3:2).

Therefore, God as Jesus' Father will always be at the Head, then Jesus as His only begotten Son next in position, then man as God's first creation in God's Image, & then woman made out of man, both of them bearing God's Image.

I don't understand your statement: "Also how do you say we are not under the old law but then makes new laws for women?" The only way I can understand your statement is to say that under the old Law, there was neither need nor provision for women preaching in the Church; there was no Church. This "ordinance" that Paul delivered ( 1 Corinthians 11:2) is entirely based on the risen Christ & His Church - nothing at all to do with any 'old' Law or whether the women of old ministered as prophets, judges, warriors, etc. Under the New Covenant, there is also a new order in His Body, as for those who now worship God in spirit & in Truth. Blessings.

  • Adam - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 4:17 - 4 years ago
In my understanding the first and last scripture reference you posted say we will be 'sleeping' between death and when Jesus comes. And others say we will be judged. There are verses saying we will be judged on the same day also. To me, all that fits together and carries a lot of weight. There are isolated verses that can be used as possible evidence of going immediately to heaven or hell, but I think it's very light in comparison to the evidence for 'sleeping'. It would be quite hard to explain how all the other verses logically fit, and why someone would skip judgment to go to heaven, then back to earth, only to go back to heaven again, then be judged, after they were already in heaven and all this as a formality? All this just to comfort people at funerals? But it seems clear to me we will sleep and it will feel like only a second goes by and Jesus will be here, and time will pass instantly just like it does when sleeping. God bless.

Thank you brother Carleton. That would indeed be a fine line in my understanding. The child of God must refuse that which is evil, yet not render evil for evil. Maybe you could expand your thoughts as time permits, that we may learn.

Hi Rick. I have re-read Romans 13:1-7 & tried to read it inline with your understanding. However, to do so, doesn't make sense. I've never encountered the Church (elders) bearing the sword against their congregations or an avenger to execute wrath, or even demanding tribute (taxes).

Is that how you read it?

    Dear Hope,

Yes, you are correct about water baptism according to Jesus.

We should believe in what Jesus states in scripture below:

    John 3:5

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Note: Don't let men confuse you, always test the scripture by comparing what Jesus tells us. The only way to God is through Jesus.

    John 14:6

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Many today will turn their back on Jesus, and preach another Gospel that differs from what Jesus taught. They will say many things to try to convince you to turn your back on Jesus and God.

If the gospel or scripture, or man's word's don't match what Jesus says in scripture, it really means nothing. Jesus will be our Judge and he will make the decision on whom enters the Kingdom.

    Revelation 22:12-14

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

    God Bless.
