Hello Isa. I wouldn't say that the Bible is a mnemonic (technical?) way to remember. It gives us a complete account of the times in history from the creation of the worlds to the 1st Century AD, as it applies to the Majesty, Wisdom & Power of God and His intervention in the lives of His creation. We can store in our minds a brief reason of each of the Bible Books & even maybe place them in chronological order, so as to be able to 'walk through the Bible', but the Bible itself doesn't assist our memory. The Holy Spirit Who moved amongst the writers of those Bible Books to bring God's Word to us, can also move in our hearts & minds to help us retain knowledge of His Word & bring it to our memories as we have need.

Neither Jude 1:6 nor 2 Peter 2:4 tell us how many angels followed Satan in his rebellion, Prasanth. Some Bible students might use Revelation 12:3,4 referring to Satan taking with him one third of the angelic host with him, but the narrative is too vague in my opinion & Revelation itself is not always in sequential order.

So, I cannot vouch with any certainty about the number of angels but my sense is that it would have been a great company of them, not just a dozen or so. And then of course, if the fallen angels were kept in everlasting chains awaiting Judgement Day, does the demonic activity of old & present days, represent the spirits of those angels? It's hard to have certainty & form conclusions.

I worked with Presidental Campaigns as volunteer, Congressional campaigns, US Senate campaigns, A staffer for State Governor, Lt. Gov., Attorney General, State Senators, helped with Special Elections, General Elections, Conventions, Party Nominations, Chairman Elections. I left political field at the height of my career because of moral conviction. I had help many obtain political seats that claimed to be "Christian" didn't examine their fruit. I say this to let the readers know I have some knowledge in election process.

During election early voting & day of election I was alarmed to see many strange occurrences that I won't mention here. A few more odd things happened so I felt led to stay. I witnessed overwhelming support for a candidate, Only 1 News crew at poll. I left poll little before it closed. I went to look up video & before polls were closed a US Senate incumbent candidate had already given his "victory" speech. I felt fire inside! I went straight to the official reporting site & the numbers were not even in that candidate's favor! I assumed mistake later be an embarrassment for that campaign to resend. Within minutes the State was "called" on National News channels around the USA the numbers were hours from reporting & the Other candidate was way ahead, not what was being reported. It was one of the 1st States called.

I realized then it was a POLITICAL COUP, the media would convince the rest of the Country that these States voted a certain way to influence the rest of the Country, it was propaganda at it's worst in USA. I prayed & started watching the numbers from another nearby State that was "called" also. = National news networks had called the winner before numbers were counted with victory numbers favorable strongly for other candidates both States had more than 80% reporting, many Elections would be called for the candidate leading, closer to 60%. The sites froze in both States. Rare numbers showed up.. GOD ALMIGHTY knows. 1 Cor 4:5

I'm not a religious bible scholar, but Imo...The Gospel, John 3:16 is the heart and soul of the Bible, and God made it simple enough for a child or atheist to understand and be saved.

John 3:16 For (God) so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

    GOD Saves us-When we BELIEVE-HE Gave us-HIS SON Jesus-as a Sacrifice-to cover our sins....PERIOD!

Imo, the church wastes time and souls by trying to help God save the lost, by adding their religious words and opinions on how to be saved, which lead to confusion and division.

The only Repenting needed is to Repent of our Unbelief in the Gospel. The man on the cross only said, remember me when you get into your Kingdom, Believing Jesus as his Savior.

Sorry it's getting late, but I'd be glad to share many other Godly thoughts if you'd like. :)

Hi Pauline. This story is found in Luke 15:11-32 & here you will see the "exact wording" of this account. But if you are seeking the use of the word 'prodigal', then it is not found in the Bible. 'Prodigal' is just an English word (as Trinity or Rapture are not in the Bible) but 'Prodigal' is correctly used to illustrate the nature of the son who took his inheritance from his father early, went into a distant country & wasted all of it in "riotous living". Instead, of maybe buying or building up a business & properly investing his good fortune, he 'lived it up' & may have even gambled it away. That's the negative meaning of a 'prodigal', of which this story represents. There is also a positive meaning for that word, which is the opposite: being lavish or generous, as being liberal with praise of someone or of resources, but the son in that parable was certainly not one of these.

I believe it is in the Bible symbolically.

Revelation 1:11, Rev 3:7-13, when I researched online the only Philadelphia I found was the USA, where our Declaration of Independence & United States Constitution were signed.

    Psalms 33:12

    Genesis 12:1-3

Prayer discerment, wisdom, fortitude to serve GOD ALMIGHTY is what we need.

    Rev 17:14

Hopefully it's a good start in your studies.

  • Chris - In Reply on Revelation 4 - 4 years ago
Hello Edward. The number seven in the Bible often depicts fullness or perfection. Even if you go through the Book of the Revelation, & search out this number, you will find that it seems to represent the completeness of the subject (e.g. Revelation 1:4,12,20; 8:2; & many more, reveal this idea of the Church & the angels (leaders) of the Church in entirety).

Therefore, in Revelation 4:5, we find the mention of "seven lamps (or, torches) of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God". Now we understand from the Word, there is only One God, Who sent out His Word & His Spirit to accomplish His Purposes. The Word became flesh & He (Jesus) gave His Life for the World & is now risen & seated at His Father's right Hand. Before this position beside God, Jesus was the Word from within God. The Spirit of God was also within God but sent out to accomplish all that God planned for mankind. The Work of the Spirit was manifold, which included empowering, convicting, residing, teaching, comforting, help in praying, giving Light, etc. The Spirit that is represented by those lamps before God's Throne, may well be the Holy depiction of God's Spirit that has been at Work to complete the Plans of God & stand before the Throne in testimony of God's Mighty Work.

Fire has been associated with the Holy Spirit: Matthew 3:11,12 (purging); Acts 2:3 (infilling & empowering), & the Spirit stands represented by this Fire of God accomplishing all that God has purposed for the World. Others here may have more to add according to the revelation given to them.

All possible Mishael, but we must consider ourselves too as we are made of the same nature.

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Hello Debra. Your questions are the very ones that have troubled folk over the ages. There can be no easy or comforting answers to give, but that all things, even our lives, are in the Hands of the One Who made us. Yes, we can go through our lives on Earth never bothering to talk to our Heavenly Father or feeling resigned, thinking, "why bother, He never listens or won't do what we ask, He just does His Own Will". But that would be a misunderstanding about the Mind & Ways of God & our relationship to Him.

Even as a child comes to his earthly Father for requests, his Father has it in is his power to give or refuse, for his own reasons. The child may even know that the thing requested is not in his Father's desire to give him, but he might still ask, hoping. The Lord Jesus, in His Humanity & in the moments leading up to His crucifixion, prayed to the Father, "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt" ( Matthew 26:39). Didn't Jesus know His Father's Will & Plan for Him & for the salvation of those who would believe? Jesus certainly did, yet He prayed, 'if it were at all possible, spare Me this agony'. Could Jesus really have expected His Father to say, "Yes, My Son, I will try another course of action?" Jesus knew His Father's Will & his suffering & death were inescapable, yet we see the Human side of Jesus' cry.

And that is how we pray to our Heavenly Father - as a yearning, maybe desperate child of God, seeking help, healing or restoration. Sometimes the answer comes in our favour - sometimes not. Is it then worth praying? Yes, we must, because we come to our Father. And we must be prepared to accept His Will, even not knowing the reasons. Many Christians have lost their lives from Covid, including a very godly Uncle of mine. Yes, death is inevitable, but our hearts must continue to look to & wait upon our Heavenly Father, without reserve or anger.

May you both know the comfort of God's Holy Spirit.

No offense, but when i think of giants and brute beasts, i think of how people on this planet are drifting towards those who preach; propogate

    one world government

    one world money, banking system

    one world religion of self

    one world community

population control as a means to combat food and product shortages

"busy works" to keep us preoccupied with global warming, pollutions, etc.

the centralization of powers on every continent.

travel/movement. "they" want to know where we are at every moment. where is our money is and what do we buy with it. our phones have gps. so our movements are not secret.

    it's happening folks. the end.

    Hello brothers and sisters

I wanted to share with you how my day went. I work two jobs 8-5 and then 530-10pm so let's just say that I am very exhausted and tired. I feel drained emotionally, mentally, and also spiritually to be honest. God has really been able to sustain me. I have no idea how I am doing it. Today at my other job I felt like passing out and it's by his grace and mercy and power that he has been able to do his work in me. Again this is not me this is the work of the Holy Spirit and that's my understanding. On my first job during lunch I went down the road and put up my sign of two bible verses where there was traffic. It was a nice windy sunny day but I believe that he was with me through it all. I was on one corner and then it's like the sun directed my path to the other corner(s) taking my sign and singing praises also at the same time. I know he has called me but I need more direction. I need more of him. I need him to sustain me more. Have y'all ever gone through periods of time where your working for him and then feel like one day it's just so much that you cry out to him ? I did driving home. He is with me I know he is and I know he is coming soon. I told a customer today that he is coming soon and thats because he had a wallet with a bible verse but he smurked and made a sound. I said it's true he is coming. Persecution will get to this country (USA) soon. We all need to come together in one accord and keep on telling everyone that GOD is in our land.

    AMEN

Why is it so hard, for many to believe an or think that woman are not used by our Heavenly Father, to prophesy ? There were so many , that did that , so many that lead in teaching, an one that taught an fought ! See Joel chapter 2 vs 28 -32 " your sons , your daughters " an " servants an handmaids " the " Remnants ". Now personally, not scripture, I have come to the realization, that our Heavenly Father, actually gave women, the strongest souls in this here flesh age , the shear strength, to be loving, compassionate, an to carry life through there flesh body, an give birth. To be totally honest here , I cannot help but have total respect and appreciation for ALL wonders of a woman. An I thank you ALL

    Peace

Is America mentioned anywhere in the Bible in the endtimes? Seems like I remember a verse that mentions (the young lions), but the way it was worded you knew it meant under England. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I also agree Willwe & this evil has been with humanity in all ages & in various forms. As for those who embrace Christianity, there can be a rigid belief of prescribed dogma with the absence of the Spirit's Presence & Unction. We see this in many denominations & cults.

When man leaves aside God's Word & attends to his own interpretation or accepting of another's without searching the Scriptures, then the Holy Spirit is not active there. But when we come humbly before God & His Word, open to & praying for His illumination, the Word given will be made clear to our hearts & excite our spirits. And yet when there's no affirmation, we need to be humble enough to leave the matter open & waiting for that illumination. Unless we spend time in the Word & prayer, can we expect that our hearts will receive heavenly instruction & not the deception of the evil one?

But the Lord is rich over all, He understands our infirmities & limitations & He by His Spirit will guide us aright if we're truly seeking knowledge & power to apply it to our lives.
