Hi Ronald What I see in scripture is God and Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ are one in purpose but not entity, gospel of John 1:18 but again I know people who believe one in the same and one in purpose.

Luke 22:52 Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? 53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

You forgot to put these words in red as these are Jesus' words. This passage is so encouraging to me because it's when Jesus heals the ear of the high priest's servant. What I read into this passage is that this servant now has undeniable proof of the holiness of our Lord and Savior, an eye witness, and Jesus is willing to do this healing despite being arrested and led to what he knows will be his death. The only thing that concerns me is that Jesus told his disciples to purchase the swords, by selling their coats. He appears to be setting the scene for this miracle. However, maybe he just wanted his disciples to have arms in order to be able to get away. Thanks for making this book available in this form online.

    Correction: That is Revelation 22:12-14

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

    God Bless.

Precious brother Chris m, you are Very Welcome! Please be Richly Encouraged as you take your time "Growing In GRACE." Yes, as one who is like you, "reading things 10 times to Get it," I can vouch that "studying HIS Word, and serving The LORD" is well worth the effort. And our 'Patient' God Does Also:

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of The LORD, forasmuch as ye know that 'your labour is not in vain' in The LORD." ( 1 Co 15:58)

    +

There will be "reward At Judgment Day!" ( 1 Corinthians 3:6-15; 1 Co 3:14)

Brother Fred, you are correct, our little minds can not wrap itself around God.

Man in his limited way of thinking will never understand God physical creation:

That which CAN BE SEEN was made out of what CAN NOT BE SEEN.

ALL of the Spirits physical creation (seen), was MADE OUT OF SPIRIT (not seen).

Rocks, let's say, that we created ten thousands years ago, can not be carbon dated to that time, BECAUSE they were made of Spirit which has no beginning and no end. Man's finite mind can not comprehend this.

You have to BE GIVEN Christ's mind.

Remember Brethren and friends to study and rightly divide the Word of Truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 Then were are able to filter everything we hear or read on this forum or any where else through the Word of God. 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5. For there are some who will try and miss lead through false teachings and heresies, always search the Scriptures. 2 Peter 2: 1-3

May the Lord shine His face on all today, and that we may find comfort in Him and His Word.

God Bless everyone as we go through this Pandemic, economic slow down, and social/political unrest. Pray for our leaders

    1 Timothy 2:1-6

Only the Lord Jesus Christ can solve our current woes.

    Chris,

Thank you so much for your time in answering me. It has been a while, but what I do remember, Ignatius was implemental in setting up the appointment of bishops and their authority, I feel this is what Jesus was referring to in Revelation about Nicolaitanes. What I remember of Polycarp, he was against the teaching of the immortal soul and idol worship.

    I understand the main debate was Jesus being created and not divine but they went too far. When Christianity went out some of the word meanings were influenced by Greek philosophy like the meaning of death it came from Plato, it was the separation of the soul and the body, and Aristotle wrote: "All things are true, and thrice is all: and let us use this number in the worship of the gods;

The trinity doctrine says the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit are co-eternal and co-equal, scripture does not support that to me. If so, why are not all three the temple in ( Revelation 21:22)? When I was studying one day I came to this verse and it stood out like a magnifying glass was in front of it. ( 1 John 2:22-24)

I'm sure you have a different understanding, but I feel if I say Jesus is God I am denying the Son, it is the Son and the Father, and when we make them one, we deny the Son and the Father. I know this is a subject that many will not even discuss and it is considered heresy not to believe in this doctrine, and I thank you for your reply.

I assure you I am not of Gnosticism as some of the posts on here. Your kidney analogy was pretty good, your kidney is part of you, it will always be your kidney, but you gave it to save someone. God gave a part of Him, not created by Him, but out of Him to save you and me. Your kidney is part of you, it is from you, the same DNA, but after you take it out of you can you say it is you?

I will ask you a question I have asked before, can a person receive salvation and be a Christian without believing in the trinity?

God bless you and the work you do.

You know something. I never knew what God was going to do in my life and for what purpose I had until I sought him out more continuously. And although my family, friends and people I work with seem to be always on the fence when I'm around it brings comfort to my heart knowing I am a child of the most high. I need a lot of prayers but the church I am attending right now I may not be attending anymore due to things that have happened that I've seen and I feel the Lord is leading me elsewhere. Again I need to pray about that. I ask the Lord to lead me to a church that's on fire for God and that wants to do more like I want to. There's so much I want to do but I have found in working two jobs I get to speak to the public about my savior. I don't get responses all the time but I still try to plant the seed which is important. I love my wife and I want to see her change but the only one that can do that is Christ but I also need to show reverence to her even though I may not agree with what she does or what she watches. If I take anything from Christ is this. Love and Patience. Taking back from the OT God has so much patience with the Israelites. Our God is a patient God and a loving God. I don't want to divorce just because we don't see eye to eye I love her and I love God and I don't want to be in disobedience or sin. I ask for your continued prayers

Amen to this. Christian life can be pretty lonely . Without others we may have a tendency to question our faith! Faith founded in the true word is equal in understanding and unquestionable! We know that Christ gave His life for it!

Chris, thank u for this !Yes, Mary was a vehicle for God. Vehicle is not proper to say, but understanding how His will was done . The spirit is real, and moves and came upon her! The spirit that was born in the flesh of Christ, was the same spirit that was formed within Her. I think the scripture says that he was without form ( the earth was without form and void)This is the same spirit that holds all things together. The same way he moved within her is the same way He moves upon those that believe in Him. Thank u for your insight

No Jesus cd not sin as the scripture says he that is born of God CANNOT SIN, Jesus was a Celestial being not a terrestrial being . He told the Jews you are from beneath i am from above,( Celestial ) You are of this world i am not of this world. If Jesus cd have sinned his father Almighty God cd have sinned. My Father and i are 1 . Jesus said the devil cometh and has nothin in me meaning no propensity to sin.

The Old Testament is Clear evidence of a earth rich in gold and silver deposits, Wood and stone. The old testament is full of information about mans relativity to nature, how nature is a picture of Gods judgment toward man! While the holy spirit reveals these things in scripture, it is also a picture of the judgments even today in light of mans unbelief of the natural creation found in Him! The earth ,according to mans estimation is 5 billion years old. The universe 14 billion. Even with this info, even if it true, is impossible for us to wrap our little minds around. What is interesting is the effects of the gravitational pull of the moon , while the earth experiences these things, being moved and pushed within too create once again another layer of land mass! How fascinating are the ways of God! How little we know! Volcanoes, droughts, the influences of weather on the earth. The life spans of man, and the dictates of His will! Once man understands the omniscience of God, than maybe He will start a new way of thinking. Starting with repentance!

In this current day Joseph is certainly a bright and shining example for us to follow, especially in the area of faith. Faith is a spiritual substance and a gift for those who use their God given free agency to acquire it when offered by our Lord... especially through difficult times. I have been privately ashamed to watch others perform with God so gloriously and have watched myself preach to others and at the same time stammering in faith. BUT...as with Joseph, Jesus is always the remedy. I have always believed that the level of Joseph's faith did not line up his request to be remembered regarding his stay in prison by someone who was getting out. Hence his own stay was extended. I have seen God work that way many times if He chose to. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be all his friends/servants who endure to the end. LOVE.

Hello Brothers and Sisters . Next time you attend your place of worship can you please take a close look around you . Do you see someone sat on their own ? Do you see someone that you know lives alone ? Or maybe someone who is the only person in their household to have been saved ? Please ! Make an effort to get to know them and encourage the rest of your congregation to do so also . Who do you live with ? Other Christians ? Spare a thought and some of your time for your Brother or Sister who has limited interaction with other Christians and introduce yourself to them , include them in your group , make them to know and feel the love of Christ that is in you . Be a family . Be the face of love and fellowship .Have compassion on your Brother or Sister who's only contact with other Christians might be that all too brief time on a Sunday morning .Surely it is our duty , surely it is the right thing to do . God is watching us .

This morning i read ISAIAH 11, KJV and i was so touched by this scripture, I see all the Animals as symbolic language for Humanity and the lil Child that leads them as the H.G. The Child of Promise The Spirit of truth Jesus said was gonna lead the world ( reprove the world of sin and judgement and righteousness etc) Knowledge shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas , they shall not hurt nor destroy in all my Holy Mountain, And the lord will set his hand a 2 nd time to recover his ppl etc.I know its all symbolic language but it made my Spirit come alive. She brought forth a man child that is gonna rule all nations no doubt this is the same Child the H.G. That we so need to lead us.

Dear Ronald , if there's any love in me it comes from God . As a young person (under 25 ) I was an emotional desert . I didn't know how to give or receive love at all . If someone was nice to me I was embarrassed because I didn't know how to respond . It was only when I started to read the Bible that I recognised the emptyness inside me . I actually asked God , in prayer , to teach me how to feel and give love . I'm a work in progress ! Much love in Christ .

Dear Arnold , you break my heart with your post , please don't despair . I am in regular contact with atheists I love and it helps me to think of it this way : as long as they are alive then they are potential Christians and I must treat them as such . I'm sure I don't have to tell you what that means as you know that Christ is our example . Also it helps me to remember who I was before I knew the Truth , weak fearfull insecure defensive , it's a long list ! Remember who you were and how you felt before you knew the Truth ? Well that's how every atheist still feels right now . They wouldn't admit it to you and maybe even not to themselves but that's how they feel , terrified of death and a million other things just like I used to be and probably also you . For this reason , if for no other , we must show pity and compassion and kindness to all atheists , we were one once so we know how they feel and it's not nice . It's a balancing act , if you lecture too much and don't engage with them in their world they may pull away from you completely . I've seen that happen and it's very sad for every one . Try to find someone at your church that you trust and feel comfortable with , preferably of the same gender . If you look and listen to them all carefully you will be able to spot someone who would appreciate your friendship I'm sure . A sneaky trick would be to develope a hobby which takes you away from your family occasionally , when really you are just spending time alone with your Heavenly Father , maybe a man in your church goes fishing ? Maybe you could go with him ? The possibilities are there if you look closely and stay calm and trust in God . He will light your path , wait for the answer . Much love in Christ .

    Hello Bea.

    1. Generally, cremation was practised by the heathen (i.e. non-Jews), so most of the dead in war would have been retrieved for such disposal. Otherwise, wild animals/birds would have got to them. Israel practised burial, & after the Law & ceremonial observances were given, the body was first washed & then buried.

    2. Even though we read of some great ages of people living in those early times, the reproductive abilities of humans ranged from quite old (as was Noah: 500 yrs old & died at 950 yrs of age), to that of Abraham/Sarah (100 yrs & 90 yrs of age when Isaac was born - & lived till 175 yrs of age). So we can see that not only did lifespans get shorter, but human reproductive abilities also lowered comparatively. And today, we can also see the correlation of lifespan to reproductive age as well.

Thanks so much for your comment. My family are not atheist but I didn't grow up in church. Due to my Aunt who's whole family is very religious (my dad's sister) constantly trying to get him to go to her church. So much that it drove him away from religion, so my mom didn't take my brothers and me to church at all. However, I feel like finding Jesus means so much more to me than my cousins who were dragged to church their whole lives, because I didn't have Jesus forced on me, I need and want Jesus in my life. It's a shame that it's taken 55 years to realize how wrong I was and how wrong my dad was also. I recently saw my Aunt and told her how wrong my dad was all those years. It made me feel better and I think it made her feel better to know I had finally found the narrow path to God. I feel like I can never ever repay Jesus for what he has done for me and I express that when I pray. Thanks again for your kind words, and I hope God blesses you every day of your life.
