I'm completely befuddled on the meaning of verse 16 in chapter 20 of Proverbs. I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks.

    Brother Victor,

The writing of 1 and 2 Thessalonians is attributed to Paul.

I do not put much weight to anything written/said by Paul, as his teachings conflict with Jesus, and the original apostles.

    God Bless.

The revelation describes the mark in the hand or the forehead. Perhaps a genetic code? probably nothing at all, not even a preventive cure. A placebo perhaps, to create the parameters for the future technology. If you know the word of God and what it says, then you know you are in living in the most spectacular of times. You will see things that the prophets of old have spoken of. The power of the Holy Spirit, the revelation fulfilled! The coming of Christ with all his holy Angels!

Many will think they do God service, those who design the technology that bring all these things to pass. Hell, is a real place in eternity, God is clear on these matters of the law, and the forgiveness of sin found in Christ!

The same technology that man uses to prevent his end, will be the same technology that will bring His demise! It is impossible to serve God and man, you will either love one ,or hate the other!

Hello Lily. If we say that the Holy Spirit is a person, some people might think that we believe in two gods. So that word (person) can often be unsuitable or confusing to some.

It's best to understand the Holy Spirit (& Jesus) as living parts or emanations from the One God. Just as Jesus, before His incarnation (i.e. coming to Earth in human form) was the Word of God ( John 1:1-14), so to the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God sent out to accomplish God's Will. Neither the Word of God (Jesus) nor the Holy Spirit are ever independent of God - all are equally One & eternally One - God wouldn't be Who He is without the Word & the Holy Spirit.

But when we read in the Bible of the Holy Spirit's Attributes & Work, we are actually seeing God manifesting Himself in the out-working of His Spirit. If you look up the following Scriptures, you can see God the Spirit manifested in a few ways:

    a. He is intelligent ( 1 Corinthians 2:10,11)

    b. He has feelings ( Ephesians 4:30)

    c. He has a will ( 1 Corinthians 12:11)

    d. He teaches ( John 14:26)

    e. He guides ( John 16:13; Romans 8:14)

    f. He commissions ( Acts 13:4)

    g. He commands ( Acts 8:29)

    h. He contends ( Genesis 6:3)

    i. He intercedes ( Romans 8:26)

So, the Holy Spirit is not simply a force or a power of God, as some want to believe. He is God Himself because He goes about His Work as God desires (i.e. as if God was on Earth doing it). Nothing the Spirit does is contrary or independent of God, just as Jesus on Earth, perfectly fulfilled God's Will through His Words, His Life, His Work, & His Death (you can read Jesus' wonderful prayer to His Father in this respect). I hope that has been a little helpful. May the Spirit (the Living God) help you as you meditate on these things from the Word.

    Hey Mel,

The covid vaccine is not the mark of the beast. The way the government is mandating it and people are losing their jobs is scary but it is not the mark. The mark of the beast is said to be diverse things, a literal mark, a computer chip, symbols, and more, but is not a shot in the arm. The mark of the beast will be based on worship.

It will be similar to the Decian persecution in 250 AD, it was a decree ordering that the sacrifices be performed in the presence of a Roman magistrate, it was a signed and witnessed certificate, issued to that effect. A great number of Christians were put to death for refusing to perform the sacrifices, many others apostatized and performed the ceremonies, and others went into hiding. This will not be a piece of paper but a mark on the hand or forehead, but you will know exactly what it is and we will have a choice.

Revelation 13, the second beast/false prophet creates an image of the first beast, and if we are still living will have to worship this image and take the mark or be killed. Like the certificate in 250 A.D. without the mark, you will not be able to buy food, or if you have a business you will not be able to have a license to sell.

The temptation to take this mark will be great, but we have been given a promise in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Our strength is in our faith in Jesus, God bless,

According to Genesis 3:22-24, I would say that God spoke to neither of them about not eating from the Tree of Life. Because they disobeyed God by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil, God drove them out of Eden & set guards against the Tree of Life.

We are in the last church age on earth and the last global empire on earth before Jesus comes back. In chapter 16 it speaks of their hardness of heart and unbelief, which is so widespread in the churches of today. He upbraided them but people will not take that today from a preacher who is ordained by His Spirit. It's worse now. Covid has us living in fear and not faith. Jesus asked this question, would he find faith in earth when He comes back. There is a falling away from the faith right now. Just waiting on the revealing of the man of sin, the antichrist because the global system is in place for him to run.
  • It's cloudy, heart thumping loud with a chance for Rapture - 4 years ago
The word Rapture is a synonym and a antonym.

I only say Rapture with people who don't know what rapture is called in the King James Bible.

When I think of the rapture; I'm thinking CAUGHT UP IN THE CLOUDS. To me some clouds I see, sunsets and sunrises are Art. A few days ago the sunrise was so red and shiney__actually bordering on metallic. It was very unusual.

I don't know what's wrong with me when thunder blasts, crackles and goes boom, I feel like my Abba is just speaking to me. I see a outstanding storm approaching I wonder if it will be like that :D

Hi , I agree for sure that everything God made He made perfect and beautifull including us . We have ,particularly over the last two hundred years , caused great damage to this planet and all life upon it including our own . I could give very specific examples but I would have to mention brand names so I won't . As for our bodies , d.n.a. is quite fragile and easily damaged . With regard to immune systems , I was born with an illness that means my own immune system doesn't recognise me as part of it and so attacks me . It's not the worst illness in the world but it's not much fun . Both my parents drank and smoked and took illegal drugs when and after I was conceived . I don't know what damaged my d.n.a. but it was for sure something that humans did within the last two hundred years . God made everything perfect and beautifull , I am so glad that I don't know or understand the full extent of what we have done to His gorgeous creation , He knows and He always has know , right from the very begining , what we would do , to ourselves , to each other and to His beautiful planet .
  • Bob bob - 4 years ago
You can not pick and choose from the Bible. God's word is God's word. You must believe in it all and not choose what fits your life style.

Hi Earl , that's a good addiction . I am similar to you in a way . There are the day to day things we have to do , the worldly physical things that need to be sorted . As soon as my mind is off them because they are done , it goes into the Bible , when I'm in the bath ,washing the dishes etc

no not washing the dishes in the bath hahah , ,sometimes I'm reading one book ( Les miserables by Victor Hugo ) , but I'm not reading it , I'm looking at it but thinking of something from the Bible . Someone is chatting away to me , I'm not really listening , hope they can't tell , I'm thinking about how emotional it must have been for the Israelites when they started to re build the temple , I'm reading Ezra . I suspect it is because , the longer we have known the truth , the less important the things of this life are to us . It's hard to get really involved in anything if you know it doesn't really matter . I haven't argued with anyone about anything that pertains to this life for decades . You are not alone Earl , I don't know about physically but I know , you are not alone spiritually , God is with you Jesus is with you and thousands of Christians are on the same path as you . Desperate for the return of Christ .

Paul in his teaching on renewal of mind and of good attitude, reminds us as christian that christians should be refreshed daily so to be able to advance in every area of life in confirming the standards that our God raises everytime the devil advances earthly standards, meaning the more the devil introduces enticing and true to believe concepts either being technologically or physical by actions, visuals and systematically, when are our minds are renewed the our attitudes will transform our approach in a higher level to overcome such current situations and prosper in everything, thus confirming the verse " the battle is not ours but the Lord and raising of standard as well as not having problem with time for HE is on time always".

Therefore it is crucial to understand the importance of education both academically and spiritually as these gives our minds fresh refill and advance in knowing tactics and strategies of the devil in confronting christians who are not renewed, this leading to an attitude that end discouraging most of our revived christians after good inspirational sermons and devotions. Having a fresh (nor academic development) mental and spiritual attitude does not only bring confusion to the devil kingdom, but demolishes all its forces n strategic plans, whilst we sail freely in the Grace of God with joy and praises to the Kingdom. In conclusion as on academic journey where one fails and had to redo (refill, renew) in order to wear or graduate, Paul instruct christians as preparing for spiritual battle (final year examinations before graduation where happiness n joy will be end result) to dress in the full armour of God and stand firm ( be courageous, motivated, inspirational and positive) by praying (revived, renewed and refreshed) spiritually as soldiers.

Three times the devil was proven chance taker and reduced to nothing than devil, after failed attempts to lure Christ, being renewed, refreshed and refilled mentally and spiritually. Attitudes.....

"...and he shall give you the desires of your heart" does not mean he will give you what you want. It means that your desires will be induced by God. That is why the next verse says "...he shall bring it to pass". It's not repetition. It is the granting of desires that he gave you, so to teach you to commit your way to him and trust him; then he will show you his trustworthiness by granting those Godly desires.

Hi Anthonia. In Esther 9:26 we see the word "Purim". Purim, since those early days, has become a joyful feast day for the Jews, celebrated each year (March 16 & 17, 2022 will be their next celebration). The reason for this celebration is because it commemorates the Divinely orchestrated salvation of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian empire; salvation from wicked Haman's plot to kill and annihilate all the Jews living in those provinces, both young and old, infants and women, in a single day.

Esther, a Jewess, became queen (in Queen Vashti's place), the wife of King Ahaseurus, whom God used to thwart Haman's plan against the Jews. Esther was reluctant at first to approach the king as she wasn't invited to do so, but her cousin Mordecai, urged her to do so, as the life of many were in her hands (Esther chapter 4). Even though God's Name is nowhere mentioned in this Book, the clear direction & Will of God is seen in & through many people. Man may use all of his wisdom & power to try to get his own way, but at the end, God's Will cannot be thwarted & His people were ultimately saved from destruction by His Hand & by using others.

Hello Donna. In Acts chapter 2, we find the Apostle Peter (not Moses) speaking to the people gathered there. You might recall, that it was the Day of Pentecost, i.e. 40 days after Jesus had died & ascended into Heaven. And on that Day, the Holy Spirit was poured out upon Jesus' disciples, so that they were now born again inwardly & empowered outwardly to live victoriously for Jesus & do great works through His Name ( Acts 1:8). And the first evidence of this Spirit indwelling was the Gift of Tongues (ability to speak unlearned languages) & as a sign to those others who came to see & hear this phenomenon that was never heard of before.

This is when the Apostle Peter stood up & spoke to them, that they weren't filled with alcohol speaking gibberish, rather they were filled with God's Spirit & this was the evidence to them. So Peter preaches to them & the verses you enquire of, are a part of that message: that this sign was in fulfilment of the Scriptures & is taking place only because of Jesus, who was put to death by the Jews but God had raised Him from the dead. Verses 32,33: that this very Jesus Whom God had raised from the grave, is now seated at God's right Hand sending forth His Spirit to all who believe in Him.

After hearing this message & by the Spirit's moving, many were convicted in their hearts, repented of their sin, & were baptized in water. About three thousand folk were saved that day. And verses 42-47: these all continued to worship God, fellowshipping with each other, sharing their possessions with those who had need, & remembering Jesus' Death by breaking bread together. This fledgling Church was vibrant at that time, even with the apostles teaching them & the Word of God spreading to different parts by the apostles. Yet sadly, over time, both the Gospel & Truths in God's Word have been hammered & tarnished with devilish beliefs by those who should have remained faithful, but there are still a few believing & preaching the Truth.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

    To Earl

1 Samuel 22 - David at the Adullam Cave, or go to: Enduring Word dot com. It's a good read.

I go to this cave often. It's where I get my mind and spirit re-synced. OR, I listen to a song, sit in that cave, and worship. [Don't judge the singerjust listen to the song. Troubadour, and another song: Without Guileby John Michael Talbot.]

When my mind starts spinning, doing burnouts in the dirt: it's time to be alone with Jesus. Sometimes He wants to minister to his ministers.

King David often went to this cave. It had special use and meaning to him. He had to get anointed, healed, restored.

When the healers get worn down, it's time to go to the Healer.

Jesus is the Well, we go to to be refilled with living water, get our feet washed.

It's necessary. I know some may argue that. Be kind to yourself.

yes it is real, these are just a few examples of Jesus talking about hell,

Matthew 23:33 "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?"

Matthew 5:29 "And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell."

Matthew 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Luke 10:15 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell."
