Hi Dr. Miller Just a few points number 1 Religion is corrupt, that's mans way of doing things in the name of God, Christianity is what God accomplished by Jesus Christ so He could have a Family. 2 Genesis they never ate an apple still don't know where that one came from. You appear to be angry so I gather the examples you have experienced of Christians hasn't been to pleasant. Been down that road never blamed God. By the way hanks for everything you do in your field. Dr. Miklery With all due respect Doc. Biblically when a person dies he's gone either until the gathering together or until judgement day in the book of revelation. If your thing is no energy is ever lost it just changes form than sir even still God Almighty is the only being who has the ability to work at that level. Don't give into the deception that man has that ability to alter molecular structure to that degree. In His Service

    Hi Brother Jesse.

I agree with you, Man can not clean himself with "HIS" righteousness. Our righteous works cannot commend us to God, And it can't restore us back to God when we stumble. The topic is basically talking about habitual sin. Here's a picture of a person so called removing sin from his life apart from being sealed with the spirit.

Matthew 12:43-45. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, "HE FINDETH IT EMPTY, SWEPT, AND GARNISHED." ( NO SPIRIT.)

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

It amazes me ho we look at habitual sin in a professed so called Christian, and some call say he lost his salvation. But they overlook the dislike and hate between what suppose to be brothern!

There's 3 topics that generate this division and thats

    1) The trinity.

    2) The rapture.

    3) Eternal security for the believer.

and if I might add one more.

Replacement theology. "The Church is the new Israel.

This lack of love for the brothern should be more alarming than any of these topics.

God bless you for standing true with meekness.

Christian Greetings English Sacha, Thank you! We are mostly well. Many prayers of healing were made for my son's burns to heal and they mostly have. He is able to work again and recreate a little. All along he has been able with a cheerful heart to encourage others some by song. Our faith has been increased in the Mercy of God in his Son!

Dry here, smoke is improving. I hope all is well with you spouse and family.

    Hebrews 6:9-12

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we this speak.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

    Esther 6:9

And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the streets of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

    Esther 6:10a

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste...

WHY DO YOU.......gamble . When I was a child my grandad used to bet on the horses . He only ever bet pennies , literally pennies . Which also meant that if he ever won he only ever won pennies ! I asked him about it and he said he only gambled to make the race a bit more exciting for himself . I understand that . So , if you are a Christian and you only gamble for a bit of excitement does that mean that when you win you give all your winnings to a charity ? I know a few Christians who gamble , it's not really any of my business so I keep quiet . However , I can't help wondering why ? Proverbs ch30 v7-9 . I have to wonder if these Christians have read that . Or Luke ch12 v13-34 . Have they read that ? Phillipians ch4 v11 ? Hebrews Ch 13 v5 ? . I don't understand how any one can read the Bible and be in any doubt at all about what God and Jesus think of money and how They expect us to behave with regard to money . I used to love roulette . I would never do the lottery because I am genuinely afraid of what would happen to me if I won . What would I spend all that money on ? Necessaries ? Or luxuries ? Things I really need to exist ? Or stuff that I just want because I like it . Money changes lives . A local lottery winner here bought his teenage son a quad bike . This young man is in a coma because he crashed . His dad is distraught and feels responsible . Money changes your life and the way people behave towards you . If you are suffering a genuine need pray to God for help , ask your church or your family , get another job , cut back in some way , don't gamble . Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding . He will help you .

Stanley Adkins, it appears the two words have the same meaning. In the King James version there is "encouraged," while in the English Standard and NASB bibles the word there is "strengthened." David encouraging himself and strengthening himself most likely consisted of praying to God fervently and thinking on how God promised him he would be king, delivering him from Saul among many other things.

I had a difficult salvation. A year before, I did a horoscope on 3 family members. My brother-in-law asked his entire church to pray and fast for me ONE DAY. It took a year, but the Lord stripped me of everything that represented Security to me. He rescued me. I saw 2 visions: one of Jesus's face; and one of Hell (which is more foul than anything you can envision). I was delivered

I woke up on the floor and everything in my house looked different. It was lighter, peaceful.

I had been born again and spirit filled also. The Holy Spirit Walked Out The New Birth with me. Acts 19:19 I cleaned my house of everything occult or offensive; later burned.

When I learned about the HOLY SPIRITI sorta freaked out. I just had spirits cast out of me!

I had to learn that He was good; from God. Six months later I was sitting on my sofa and I SAW the Tongues. I heard a couple of words. I spoke what I heard.

On Passover (I refuse to observe easter which=Astarte

The Church members were praying in the Spirit; so I did too. After service ended, the couple sitting next to me asked me if I knew what I was saying. I said no. The wife said "You were speaking Hebrew". I ate the Passover meal at their house. Everything I experienced was so special! And thanks to Jesus for coming after me.

Tongues are not for show off. Your mind is disconnected sorta. You are in the spirit, WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. Keep speaking what you hear in your spirit. What you are doing is being strengthened in your spirit, that Jesus made alive when you were saved. It refreshes your inward man. Not the flesh.

It strengthens our trust in, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. I asked Him for comfort, peace, when I had none, deliverance from memories, and then I asked Him to Teach me the Bible that I was reading. That's when The Living Water rushed in and cleaned out my opinions and assumptions: and I saw Jesus in His Word. Your spirit wants to hear Jesus. Listen intently.

Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if (THOU) be willing, remove this cup from (ME): nevertheless not MY will, but (THINE, be done.

John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

I'm so glad that JESUS never acted a lie or tried to deceive, he said not MY will but the will of him that sent me.

My brother gambles with a friend for points only. They have fun. I like Yahtzee; it's just a game right? I like Fish Pond with my grandson too :D

I look in Proverbs for wisdom.

    PROVERBS 19:4

Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.

    PROVERBS 28:26

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

    JEREMIAH 17:11

As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

    Proverbs 6:15

Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

    Proverbs 8:10

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

    Proverbs 10:4

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

    Proverbs 11:29

He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

    Have a great Holiday weekend

Eric, the sins of Babylon were many making them worthy to fall under God's Hand of punishment. You can check out the following:

Jeremiah 50:2 (sin of idolatry. Bel & Merodach were their chief idols. Bel = Baal, of the Canaanites & others).

Jeremiah 50:11 (sin of being destroyers, or plunderers of God's heritage, Israel).

Jeremiah 50:31,32 (sin of arrogance & pride).

Jeremiah 50:38 & 51:7 (sin of rampant idolatry & seducing the nations into such worship).

Jeremiah 51:51 (sin of defiling God's Temple).
  • Must be serious? - 4 years ago
With ALL due respect, We are talking about our souls spending an ETERNITY somewhere. I'm going to be serious. We as Christians are commissioned to spread the Gospel, the Good News, (or as Jesus put it in Matt. 28:19 commanded). I will be held accountable "to whom much is given, much is required...." ( Luke 12:48) I believe Jesus said it and I don't want to lead ANYONE astray. So I am going to find, study, search out, ask, PRAY, what the Bible says. Yeah, I'm serious. With much Love in Christ, God Bless. P.S. Matt. 28:19 says: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;(all prepositional phrases describing the name), there was only one name that the Spirit begottened, there was only one name that hung on the cross, there was only one name that resurrected, there was only one name that was going to be used to send the Comforter to us ( John 15:26), there was only one name that lived, died, rose again, and is coming back for His bride (the church), and that name was, is, and will always be: Jesus Christ. God Bless.
