Does the exportation to silence still apply to women today?

    Crystal,

This would be the apostle John. If you start at verse 8, John says and the voice which I heard from heaven (Taken to be God) spoke unto me (John) again, and said, go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel.

It is interesting that even the voice from heaven says that this mighty angel is an angel, the one who is standing upon the sea and upon the earth. And then reading through verses 9 through 11, we see that John was told in verse 4 not to write down, and now he's told to start prophesying again.

As far as this book goes, we see the same book in Ezekiel Chapters 2 and 3. This book is the title deed to the earth. But it is also the word of God. And so John is told to take it and eat it. The word of God is sweet to the taste. But the judgments are hard on the heart and bitter to the belly.

On a side note, I think it is interesting also that it was always God's intention that God's people eat His word, that the word of God becomes our spiritual food, and that the word of God becomes part of us, that we speak not just from out of the book, but out of our heart.

We're told to devour it first, not just memorize it and learn it with our minds, but to receive it spiritually and devour it as the word of God. That's always the way it was intended to be. But you see, we've gotten too head-minded, too intellectual, and not spiritual in our approach to the things of Christ. So this angel said prophesy again. And you will do so in front of many people.

    I hope this helps you!

  • Dianne - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 3 - 4 years ago
Hi Nancy You will not find scripture to justify what you want to do that's up to you and your personal walk with God Romans 14 if that's what you believe but have no doubt at all about your decision. Personally if I was not physically compromised I would be getting the shot, but again that's strictly between you and God. So the point is ask Father.

Arthur Workman Sir there is a major difference like earth to moon in what your saying and the way the spirit of God works. First in the old testament when a man of God said thus said the lord it happened verbatim and I mean exactly as stated. Also that information will never cross purposes with Gods Word and will always give Glory to the True God. If a so called prophetess says so and so will happen what would be the point if it couldn't be stopped. Now the example in the book of Daniel 1: 17 As for these children God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. No tarot cards fortune tellers water divination he had the spirit of the true God. Now an example of its operation always profitable. Chapter 2 the king had a dream which scared him, called all magicians , sorcerers, astrologers and chaldeans, to tell him whats up. Then in verse 5 he's so rattled that if don't give me an answer you'll be history so they say there is no body that can answer you, then the King set out to kill all the wise men in the kingdom. Now that involves Gods man Daniel. Read from chapter 2:14 -49. Daniel and hananiah, mishael, and Azariah prayed to the God of heaven. End result was Daniel went from being locked up to Highest in command next to the king in babylon. That's how the spirit of the true God works all profitable and no guess work. God Bless P.S. There's more to it but that gives you an idea.

Hello, it sounds like you're assuming visions are the same as tarot cards, numerology, etc. That is not the case. There is nothing wrong with having a vision or a dream. That is very different than claiming to talk to ungodly spirits or demonic spirits or claiming to have powers other than from the holy spirit.

You said you thought speaking of visions was evil. I don't know where you get that from or what you mean by this. I think to simplify one could just ask: is what you're doing from God or of God? yes/no. If yes, that is good. If are you claiming special power from an ungodly source (like satan) and doing things not of God, then that is bad and evil.

You also mentioned the lottery and I don't understand how that's related. God doesn't promise riches in this life by following Him. If anything it's the opposite, as we are promised persecution for our beliefs. 2 Timothy 3:12.

Money is meaningless- you can't take it with you when you die. We are to be responsible with our things, but not put our heart in it. The love of money is the root of evil. We are called to put our treasures in heaven, not on earth. Have you read this before and do you know what it means? Matthew 6:19-21

    God bless...

It is no speculation but many years of studying God's word, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. God answers every question in the scriptures itself. All one has to do is study them. One has to study the history of the time, the traditions, the languages, Hebrew, Caldiz and Aramaic. Have a Strong Exhausted Concordance, the Torah and copies of Massarah. And most of all study as if was your first time hearing about God's word and not what man has taught you. God will guide you. I truly believe that He does give us eyes to see and ears to hear His word when we seek Him with all our heart.
  • Dianne - In Reply on Mark 9 - 4 years ago
Sasha In the context I absolutely agree, Jesus Christ was always operating correct doctrine and reproof and instruction for those have ears to hear. When he raised lazarus from the dead same thing, the only one who believed he could do it was Himself.

Heaven, is where ever God is , currently, we have two sides for those who pass in the flesh , sn it's our Father's decision to which side you go to , till all souls have had a chance to be born of flesh , one side for the good , one side for the not so good , with a gulf in the middle that you cannot pass ,.. seek the story of lazeris an the rich man ,..

One thing I don't understand is - I constantly hear many numerous people of the church like reverends - pastors etc and just random hard core church going people speak out against tarot card readers, people into numerology and other similar areas of interest, they're frowned upon, but in the Bible didn't certain individuals mention visions to kings & other great nobles to pay attention to? My point is why is this mentioned in The Bible as being okay but when folks mention praying to God about winning the lottery they get either laughs, chuckles or just plain scolded by church leaders. I thought speaking of visions was considered forms of evil - especially the way some church folks put it. But they never put down any negativity about those like David, Daniel, Joseph and others who spoke of visions. How is the lottery considered a bad thing or evil but those who read tarot cards are mocked & ridiculed - aren't they in the same category as David and others who spoke of visions. And why is it some people win the lottery & experience no hardships while others experience dread even death, while the rest of us can't win anything period. Or does winning the lottery require one to be that in touch or in tune with God & Jesus - could someone - anyone please help me understand these puzzling points? Thank you for reading my long exhausting question. Sorry but often times I get a bit winded while trying to make my point.

Hi Cheryl This is a part of scripture where God is showing how absolutely dire a situation was. A famine and unbelieving army surrounded the city so in verse 28+29 give you how bad it was. Then in verse 30 when a person in the middle east puts on sack clothe and ashes it is an indication of dire distress I.E. what can I do. What's worse is the next verse where he blames Elisha the man of God for what took place. Look what God Tells Elisha by his spirit from verse 6:32 to 7:1 Especially verse 1 Hear the word of the Lord Thus saith the Lord I.E. pay attention! Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria. Of course they thought he was nuts because by the five senses the situation looked {impossible], now we read how God made a way where there wasn't one. It started with FOUR LEPROUS MEN in verse 3 and the details carry until the end of the chapter. Another example of How our God makes a way where there is no way. God is always willing to help if we have our spiritual ears on so to speak.
  • Paul on Psalms 117 - 4 years ago
This Psalm reassures me that no matter the situation, God's mercy and love are still evident and available. But that could be interpreted a number of ways. Life, it seems, has become upside down. What once was evil and perverted has become desirable and wholesome. There is a great evil among us. The most comforting thing in life is to know that YAHWEH loves each of us in absolute perfection. He knows every facet of our being, the good and the bad. Until He returns, His free offer of salvation is available to us. He is also almighty and sovereign and He will have the final say of the outcome of all worldly events, all of them. He can weave the entangled mess that we make of out lives into a fine fabric of beauty, functionality and durability. He is still here, with us. The offer of salvation is still open to all people. It also comforts me to know, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that YAHWEH is in full control of absolutely everything that happens on earth for all eternity and absolutely nothing can ever take Him by surprise. He is complete. He Is all powerful. And no matter how bad and hopeless a situation may seem here and now, The earthly realm of time and space will pass and we will be able to look back, in great relief and joy and know that the evil is gone forever. Though the sorrow may last through the night, His joy comes in the morning; and what a wonderful morning it will be. All of the lies, greed, pain, murder, deceit, perversion, corruption, all of it forever destroyed and even forgotten. All creation will be as God intended it to be from the beginning and that could only be accomplished by His absolute display of love for us by sending His only begotten Son Yehoshua to pay the price we owed and could never possibly have paid which is eternal death. I must focus on the sacrificial Love of God each day and remember what He sacrificed for me. And to somehow fathom His love for me. Once accepted with the faith of a child, all will come into focus.

    Hi Fayez.

I agree with Diane. It actually says it in the text. 5

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the "EVENING AND THE MORNING" were the first day.

Hi James , personally I don't believe that Jesus was scolding his disciples , read v 22&23 in particular , Jesus wasn't talking to his disciples , he was talking to the crowd . I think Jesus was reprimanding them gently because they didn't believe that his disciples could cure the boy , they wanted Jesus to do it . They believed he could do it . When you read Matthew you will read how many times Jesus says something along the lines of : your faith has healed you or as you believe so shall it be to you . This is just my opinion .

I can't stress just how important prayer is !

My experience is to pray about the little things and big things , it make my life so so much more peaceful and he really does care and is at hand as he says . Ask Jesus and he says he will

Do it . He has all power and authority given to him by his Loving father . Amen! Pray to Jesus !
  • Lighton - In Reply - 4 years ago
An old saying you can't fool all of the people all of the time .

It says in 2 Timothy that the time will come that they will turn away from the truth and heap

To them selves false teachers .

The definition of delusion is believing something even when proved wrong . You can not win many over , but you can prevent or warn some of the danger of not adhering to the word of God .

To whoever posted this question (No Name?),

If that loved one belonged to Christ when they died, you can rest assured that they are with the Lord right now. Their body remains in the grave until Jesus comes for His church, but their spirit separates from their body and goes to be with the Lord. That is the literal definition of the word death. It means separation. So at the point of a believers physical death, their spirit separates from their body and goes to be with the Lord. It's the physical body of flesh that remains in the grave.

David I will show you what the scriptures say then it's up to you. Genesis 1:6+7 talks about the firmament and where it was and what it divided, verse 8 God called the firmament heaven [the word firmament is expanse raqia and the word heaven is the word shamayim which means heaved or raised up things] when you read from verse 8 to verse 14-17 anything above earth is called heaven according to what God is saying in Genesis I.E. entire solar system and beyond basically space. The word Firmament is used primarily in Genesis all in chapter one from verse 6 to 20 and even calls the sky firmament the rest of the usage of firmament are in Psalms 2 Times Ezekiel 5 Times Daniel once. Prayerfully this helps.

It seems as if Christ scolded his disciples when they couldn't cast out the demon. But then he tells them that this kind only comes out by prayer and fasting. So why did he scold them?
