Solomon prayed upon becoming King, for wisdom in ruling God's people. Not only did God grant him his request, but expanded it by providing him with wealth (unrivaled to this day) and peace from potential enemies. I believe God did this to allow Solomon to experience all the pleasures and possibilities the world has to offer and to discover the ultimate vanity of it in the end...namely, death. Although Solomon had many wives, concubines, and many other avenues to draw his attention from God; in the end, he came back to the original position from which his reign had begun. Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

As a child of God, there is no way I can ever be guilty for exaggerating about this: that entering the presence of our God Jehovah is a joy that no words can explain, I've tried many times before, but have failed numerous times before. Now I know that there is nothing but peace(rest), love and goodness in the presence of God, I don't ever want to move away from his presence because there just is no life outside of that. I can boldy say that the day I Jesus saved my life, was the day which I was risen from the dead. I thank you God that my spirit is eternal because of you, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

Good morning Dennis I exhort you to read Romans 14 whole chapter, whether you take them or not is between you and God but there is some common sense here, not all medications are so to speak bad. I know believers in the medical field that have shared with me so to speak some of the yeas and nays. In the end listen to what Gods telling you. God Bless. P.S. I don't know of any verses that tell anyone to refuse medications, but I could be wrong.

Hiya Bro. Earl Bowman God has given you much wisdom about the Parable of the Sower and his Seed, We all need to realize that the sower of the good seed is the Bridegroom and he wants to propagate very God with his precious seed thats y he is saying to whom the Word came ( his seed) that living word it made them Gods Because i have spoken these Words ( his seeds ) sorrows have filled you hearts, Then he tells them of a woman in travail b/c of his words ( his seeds ) a spritual pregnancy, their Child was the H.G. The Child of PROMISE AS that which is born of the spirit is Spirit .As GOD IS SPIRIT. he has to know us thats when that God seed is sown in our hearts and minds. When he breathe on them he was propagating very God WITH HIS SEED which is the H.G. Our fruit unto God as Paul tells about being married to Christ and bringing forth fruit unto God which is A BABY CHRIST 7 : 4 KJV I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven that was the great Promise. Thus the sower and his precious seed the words of the book in the Fathers right hand. she brought forth a manchild a Baby Christ GBU Bro Earl bowman

    Jesse,

How is the "church" removed at the seventh and final trumpet, after the great tribulation, and after the mystery of God is over? For such a man-made doctrine to be successful, it must be implemented prior to the day of the Lord, prior to the abomination of desolation, prior to the destruction of God's people, prior to Joel 2:1-11, or it's pointless. Be it pre or post tribulation "rapture", you are taking God's word to create your own special path to heaven.

It is the sealed witnesses, ( Revelation 11:12) those who are spiritually worthy, who are lifted up at the last trump to everlasting life. Firstfruits. Do not even consider standing next to these pure virgin saints that are called and faithful. God makes the order of how the end-times will unfold, not narcissistic man.

What difference will it make for you to wait your turn and not force your way in, just like Jacob?

I was doing my daily reading today in this book of Isaiah and in Isaiah 16:6 which really spoke to me. You see Americans are very prideful just like Moab. Perhaps the United States is on a downward spiral similar to that of Moab? Anyway's I'm off to pray. Thank you for the chapter from Matthew I read it earlier today.

Hello Giannis. I understand that the NT authors & Septuagint translators found that 'diatheke' was the best word that could be used when translating or referring from the Hebrew 'berith' (covenant). Diatheke was preferred over 'syntheke', since this word (syntheke) conveyed more of an agreement between equal partners, whereas 'diatheke' meant a covenant between a superior & a subordinate. And also to note, even as you mentioned, that a testament cannot be changed after the death of the testator, however, it can be changed while the testator is alive, for various reasons. Whereas a covenant cannot be changed at all while it is in force: when God makes a covenant with His people, He can punish them for breaking the covenant, but He never cancels the covenant promises He has made. However, Hebrews 8:6-13, speaks of Jesus being the "mediator of a better covenant" (as declared in Jeremiah 31:31-34), where the old was abrogated (i.e. it served its purpose & its time limit), ushering the new covenant through "the blood of the everlasting covenant" ( Hebrews 13:20).

So, the way I see it, even though the Greek rendering is correct as "testament", it would allow, in biblical terms, for its use as 'Covenant' when translated & referred from the Hebrew word & meaning, as any another Greek word (even symfono?) would be unsuitable. As the New Testament came into force with the death of the testator ( Hebrews 9:16,17), it was still based on the first Covenant that God made with His people which is now made new through His Son.

Hi Glenn. I think you meant to write: "incorrect", because what you've stated & what I've stated are totally different. I understand that you wrote (& I could have misunderstood you), that rebirth means 'coming in the flesh'. Whereas, I believe Jesus wasn't speaking of a fleshly birth (as Nicodemus erroneously thought), but of a spiritual birth. Our spirits are naturally dead towards God because of original sin being transmitted ( Ephesians 2:1-3), but through Jesus' Sacrifice & the subsequent impartation of His Holy Spirit, our dead spirits God-ward are awakened (made alive) & joined to the Holy Spirit Who then causes the workings of God to be manifested in & through the believer ( Romans 6:11). That is how I understand re-birth: of our spirits made new by God - not a fleshly birth.

    Hi James.

    Predestination is to the believer.

Here is what I believe a verse that gives the picture of Predestination.

Philippians 1:6. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

    And also here.

Luke 15:1-4. Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.

And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

And he spake this parable unto them, saying,

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

    God bless.

After Shalmaneser, king of Assyria carried off the House of Israel, commonly referred to as the lost ten tribes, being resettled in the lake Van region what happened to them? There is an account in the gnostic book 2nd Ezra that after some of the "Jews" returned from Babylonian captivity they sent messengers to them requesting their return, which they replied "no". Then travelled through the headwaters of the Euphrates River never to be heard from again.

Although the Bible seems silent on this, is there any sources on where they went?

It indeed is a great privilege to be able to respond to this text. I can see how the men and women of the body of one faith can, so easily miss the call to helping someone receive salvation. we must look at people through God's lens and not our lens. God has put his stamp on he having the authority to make final calls on who is clean and who is not, but at the end of the day. We the called out ones should be showing the attributes of Gods love to every living human being regardless of race, ethnicity or economic status. I live to see in the body of Christ true Christian Love. May God bless everyone and heaven continue to smile on you!

    Love you,

Hello Alex. Thanks for your comments which I have seen previously written to others. To respond to all what you've stated would take too long & be tedious, since I would challenge you on almost everything you stated. However, to note what you wrote: "God told Moses that his Name was Abraham Issac and Jacob." My Bible tells me that God spoke to Moses in this manner: "I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." There would be a big difference in God's Name being Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob and God being the God of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob.

I understand that you have an agenda to push here, but any Bible reader, & particularly those well studied in the Scriptures, would discern that what you've shared is highly spiritualized & bears little resemblance to the revealed Scriptures & the correct 'dividing' of them. Thank you for your time.

  • Giannis on Hebrews 8:12 - 4 years ago
Why do all. the English translations, including KJV's, translate the greek word "diatheke " () as "covenant" but not as "testament" which is the right translation? All modern greek translations without any exception use the word testament ( a person's will) and with that meaning all greek theologists and preachers from all sort of churches, greek orhodox, catholics, evagelical, pentecostal use it here in Greece. I also made a search in Wikipedia, Whereas in the greek version it uses the word testament, in the English one it uses the word covenant. It is a testament, not a covenant. An agreement can always change agterwards, a testament never changes after a person's death. In an agreement two persons try to find common terms to settle down, in a testament the person who writes his/her will puts down his own terms for the one who gets the heritage. So Gods testament never changes, there won't be any new one, and the terms of the heritage, that is the Heaven, come from God himself and have nothing to do with people.

    Amen and Amen, Brother Alex!

It is so hard for those who have not yet completely died (first death) to Christ to COMPREHEND that they are going to be EXACTLY like Christ.

When wheat seed is planted, the farmer ALWAYS harvest wheat seed. It's ALWAYS an exact copy of the seed planted.

This is TRUE of all seed planted including the WORD OF GOD.

Luke 8:11 The parable is this: the SEED is the Word of GOD.

This SEED; planted in us, will produce SEED EXACTLY like the SEED planted.

We become the living word, just as Christ is the living SEED (WORD).

At the death of this body of flesh, Jesus will send the angels to reap the harvest (SEED).

Ephesians 4:13 Til WE ALL come into the UNITY of the faith, and knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the FULLNESS of Christ.

Christ is the FULLNESS of the FATHER, we WILL BE the FULLNESS of Christ.

John 17:21 That they ALL may be ONE; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be ONE in us: that the world may BELIEVE that thou hast SENT ME.

You are going to be GODS!
