"Numbers chapter 29 discusses the offerings for the Feast of Trumpets and the Feast of Tabernacles. Verses 2 and 8 specify seven lambs "without blemish" for the Feast of Trumpets.

Verse 12 the Feast of Tabernacles would be seven days, and then verse 13 specifies that on the first day there were to be fourteen lambs "without blemish".

Then, on the second day in verse 17, there were to be fourteen lambs "without spot".

The third day (verse 20) and the fourth day (verse 23) were also to have fourteen lambs "without blemish", then on the fifth day (verse 26) there were to be fourteen lambs again "without spot".

The remaining sixth (verse 29), seventh (verse 32) days also specify fourteen lambs "without blemish", then on the eighth day (verse 35-36) there were to be seven lambs "without blemish".

One would suppose that "spot" and "blemish" are interchangeable, yet verses such as 1 Peter 1:19 - "But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish AND without spot:" [capitals mine] they are certainly two separate and distinctly different words.

Why are the lambs on days 2 and 5 to be without spot, and the rest of the days the lambs are to be without blemish?"

Great word - thanks brother Jesse. As a matter of interest, I noticed that there are two separate Greek words used for "after" (as in "come AFTER me") & "follow". In Hindi & Urdu, they use the one word, which is essentially, to "come behind". And in an example of a person being guided on an unknown path to his destination: rather than him walking beside the guide, he would normally walk closely behind him as he just might lose sight of his guide in the midst of the crowd.

This speaks to us of the 'crowd' of attractions, distractions, & voices all around us and if we're to follow our Master without losing sight of him in that crowd, we need to be right behind Him, focussed on Him & following in His Steps. Many can lose their way when they take their eyes off Him & it becomes all the more difficult to get onto the right path, with maybe some pain & heartache along the way. But when the guide sees that his fellow-traveller has become lost, he calls out to him - and how welcome is that voice offering help & direction. Just a few thoughts that came to mind after reading your comment.

    Hi Camilo.

I would like to second Brother Jesse.

He may have hit the wrong key on the pad. He meant to give you Luke 3:17.Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

    God bless.

    Hey Fred,

Paul/Saul was consenting when they killed Stephen, Paul led driving people who had faith in Jesus out of Jerusalem, beatings in the synagogues, imprisoning men, women, and, children. A better question would be regardless of how bad a person is, there is redemption and salvation in Jesus Christ, and can be used to do Gods will. God calls according to His pleasure we cannot begin to comprehend.

It is better if we have questions that we can find the answer in scripture not answered by opinion and speculation.

    Thanks Brother Jesse.

Amen The power which was performing those works is working in many believers in diverse ways, so the volume has ramped up, it is the quantity not quality as you said.

And Jesus was not displaying gifts, He was displaying Power given to him by the Father.

John 14:10-11. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

I have heard several people across the years say we can do greater things than Jesus, when reading that verse, One guy even taught a class and asked when you look in the mirror who do you see? I knew where he was going with this so I said an unworthy sinner saved by the grace of God. He said I was wrong, you are seeing Jesus. You can do the miracles Jesus did if you prayed to the father and it happens all the time! "We can do greater things than Jesus!"

I asked him can a man raise himself from the dead?

John 10:17-18. Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. ( I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.) This commandment have I received of my Father.

Even the Apostles could not do that.

    God bless.

    Dianne,

How could man have possibly string together such Biblical hyperbole to cause many to believe a false narrative? A "rapture" creates incentive to go Christian. What possesses people to accept the notion that they are like saints, and can jump ahead in line? I never trusted this theory.

    Amen Brother Earl.

    Your Quote:

but the Spirit performing these miracles through the labour of his SAINTS, CANNOT be seen. Raising the dead (in trespasses and making them alive in Christ, making the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk.

Same POWER, SAME MIRACLE, one can be seen (in flesh), the other can't be seen (in Spirit).

Food for thought, the Spirit reveals.

    God Bless.

    Hi Dianne.

Sorry it took so long to respond to you, I am working on my honey do list.

The works Jesus is talking about in John 14:12. Is his miracles and being that he will gift his disciples with the Holyspirit shortly after his death, to work and perform these same miracles, as Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:10. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

And he also said in Galatians 2:8. (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) The apostles was given the Holyspirit and a measure of grace to take to the whole world to lay down the foundation that we are to build on. Paul said this grace was mighty in him. By the Holyspirit they was able to raise the dead!

But with all that being said that's not what he wanted the outside world to gaze upon when determining whether they was a follower of him or not. Here is what he wanted the world to see, which was given by the same spirit.

John 13:34-35. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. This was also working mightily in them.

Here is another example of what the spirit had to do in their lives. listen to the Lord after Peter forbid him to was his feet but then allowed it to be so.

John 13:12-15. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?

("Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.")

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

There is a lesson in humility.

    God bless.

    Glenn,

Do you know who the people of 1 Thessalonians 4:17 are? Is it only the saints, or the saints + Christians.

What's the difference between the 1st fruits and 2nd resurrections?

This topic needs to be better understood.

    Derek,

My point is, anyone can identify the problem, complain about it, yet nothing will prevent or put off what is to come our way. It's easy enough to tell what is wrong, but hat's not what I want to hear all night long. How about offering up something revolutionary, like hope?

Fred that just is a perfect example of how blinded and twisted the religious leaders at that time were. Thank God he called out Paul because he knew his heart was in the right place. Paul in his heart and mind totally believed he was dead right, in what he was doing before being born again. Again we can be thankful God new his heart and he needed a little convincing, sort of like us a times. God Bless

Well spoken. I think we are mostly in agreement. May we speak through the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Peaceably. I keep that scripture posted on the cabinet above the coffeemaker, so at least twice a day I am reading it and contemplating what my state of mind (mood) is.

Those who LOVE MUCH, LOVE JESUS, and careth for the Sheep; let's try to understand each other.

Say a prayer for each other.

We are all on Satan's radar and GPS. Ok? I'd rather get hauled up at the Bema Seat for praying too much and giving homemade sandwiches to the homeless...and being asked if I used Mayo or miracle whip :/

Fred God Bless I believe that Paul is one of the greatest examples of God knowing a mans heart, paul as he states in the epistles was born out of due time. He was a pharisee of pharisees and in his heart before he was converted until jesus appeared to him I don't care who else would have said what if you didn't do the law you deserved to die. Thank Jesus for appearing like he did and like you said he did not converse with flesh and blood but spent time alone with jesus Christ to get it together spiritually and screw his own head down. I cannot comprehend the shock mentally Something I've often thought about how many believers after conversion that he taught the word to that he helped murder family members because he did it out of ignorance because he didn't believe. I'll bet because he understood the deliverance from past sins he taught with all boldness no guilt. What a man of God.
