Please do not bring what happened thousands of years ago and compared it to what we know today it makes better sense that way there world or there earth is where they lived they did not know about the United States, north pole or the south pole it just makes better sense that way.

Glenn The greatest challenge in the field of Biblical knowledge and research will be getting to what was oridinally written and mean't. You will find equally intelligent theologians and scholars and ministers believing different things about the same subject matter. This is the source of denominations. I've observed it for years and its very educational.

S Spencer This is not to disagree my question is do you believe that what Jesus Christ said there was just for the disciples only or for anyone who believes in Him after receiving The Gift of Holy Spirit from God.
  • Ronald L Whittemore - In Reply on Acts 15 - 4 years ago
    Hey Fred,

Not sure why the reply, the post was on Acts 15. I agree the law was the schoolmaster and now that we have faith in our savior Jesus we are no longer under the schoolmaster. I agree the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His blood cleanses us from sin and it is by the grace of God. Being saved by His life, the resurrection from the dead, we by faith, with the Spirit, the down payment, we will be raised incorruptible at His coming.

We are not justified by works of the law, we are justified by faith in Jesus and the Spirit of God. Any works done is done by our faith in Jesus, He died for us, was buried, rose from the grave, now sets on the right side of the Father and is the only mediator between God and us, not by the flesh we are housed with.

    God bless,

psalm 22:21 so unicorns are real? or is there a meaning behind this statement
  • Dianne - In Reply - 4 years ago
Leroy I don't see in the bible where satan was ordained to that position but I do see where he stole it, Gen. 3:1-6 which is where Adam and Eve were tricked the power and authority was given him. Look at Luke 4:5+6. Also Jesus Christ in John 10:9 summoned up the adversaries intentions, steal kill destroy. Then the deliverance our Saviour next verse I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

Erica - 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Acts Chapter 9 will tell you very plain that the words spoken unto us by his Apostles & Paul were from Jesus. His command to them was preach the WORD (Jesus) all of which are direct instructions.

Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

The New Testament is written by Holy men that followed Jesus while he was here. Paul as one born out of time spent time with Jesus and was told what he must do and say, not what he wanted at times but was obedient.

On the kingjamesbibleonline.org, in the search words or phrases box, type prince of this world KJV and several verses will come up. The first one I saw was John 12:31 "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out."
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Jesus referred to Satan as the "prince of this world": John 14:30 and John 16:11. I guess if the Son of God spoke this of him, then all of Heaven recognizes him as such; at least for a while until his power & influence are finally withdrawn & he is locked away for eternity.

    No apologies necessary Glenn.

    And welcome to the site,

Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in a viewpoint and we abandon the spirit and walk in the flesh, It's very easy to end up on the wrong side of the work of God,

The Lord didn't tell us to go out and Preach our viewpoints, He told us to abide in him and to teach and preach the Gospel that saves lives. The Holyspirit reveals truth, Believing or disbelieving in the rapture don't give you the Holyspirit, Salvation Does!! Let's help them with that then their eyes may become open to see whether there's a rapture or not. Apart from the spirit we can't reach NO ONE. The natural man know not the things of God, Let's sow the seed and let God give the increase. Then they will be able to Hear. If you hold the truth that is the way you got it.

    God bless you.

  • Christian - 4 years ago
In the Old Testament, there is a verse that talks about the "blow out the fire and in with the wind"? And it mentions the father, son, and holy ghost. Any ideas what this verse could be?
  • Jesse - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Glenn,

There is a phrase used in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and it is the phrase "caught up." The Greek word got that phrase is HARPADZO which is the same as caught up. It means to be snatched away or seized by force. It does not mean that we "fly away."

In fact, this "caught up" is going to happen so fast that we're not even going to know what happened.

The word rapture comes from the Latin word Raptus. But it all means the same thing.

    Very good response, Jesse!
  • Fred - In Reply on Acts 15 - 4 years ago
The law is a schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ The law of God is what we see in the ten commandments . The law is what God has established with His creation. It has been my experience that it is impossible to keep His law. However men of old before the Christ, shared in something called hope. They waivered not at the promise, much like we too look for the return of Jesus Christ! Waiting in faith, is the fundamental condition of establishing the law, while fulfilling it!

When this happens it is now referred to as grace. Grace found in the same words our Fathers before us had! This is the salvation we have in the hope of our savior Jesus Christ. Much more now we are now sanctified and cleansed, cleansed in his holy blood! This being the requirement of the creator. There can be no forgiveness without the shedding of blood! Christ heals us, makes us holy and perfect before the Father, clothed in White, able to stand before him!

    Rejoice.

Let's take it from verse 10,

And I will share what I believe verse 12 means.

In verses 10 and 11 Here Jesus says he's in the Father and the Father is in him, And Jesus contribute the work to the Father,

In verse 12 The work that Jesus does and the greater here mentioned here is not greater in quality, It's greater in volume.

    That's why Jesus said

BECAUSE I GO UNTO MY FATHER.

Jesus had to go to the Father before he sent the Holyspirit to dwell in them.

Luke 24:49. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, UNTIL YE BE ENDUED WITH POWER FROM ON HIGH.

That power was the Holyspirit and the Apostles ministered with that Power on display to the World.

John 14:10-12. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but THE FATHER THAT DWELLETH IN ME, HE DOETH THE WORKS.

11: Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

12: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, THE WORKS THAT I DO SHALL HE DO ALSO; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL HE DO; BECAUSE I GO UNTO MY FATHER.

    God bless.

    Hi spencer ,.. apologies

No wars , an no " I know more than you " intentions. It scares me on how many good Christian people, believe in Easter , rapture, an of course the apple. My first time here , an my intention was to see if there's an agenda, or a wizard of oz behind the curtain. I truly wish to share , an warn of false teachings, an try to help, share , an show anyone that is willing to dig deep , into truth.

    Sincerely

    Hi Brother Jesse.

    Thank you for that revelation!

I went to the scriptures and as you said I seen the italics you mentioned in a few pivotal verses.

    Thanks

    God bless.

Glenn The word rapture is not in the bible it is the resurrection of the body of Christ, 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 also 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 both of these events are one in the same, known as the Hope of the return and no one knows that one it is in Gods timetable. 2 Thessalonians 2:1 is what the Bible calls the gathering together unto him. Like so many other things man came up with rapture. God Bless

  • Dianne - In Reply on John 14 - 4 years ago
In John 14 Jesus Christ is sharing the things that will become and now are available when an individual confesse Romans 10:9+10 and believes it in their hearts and does the will of God which is His Word, His Spirit takes up resident LITERALLY in our bodies and He begins to make the way He operates and wants you to do known. The more you walk the more He makes known. The real mind blower is verse 12 and this guy raised the dead, and He said us who believe will do greater works than he did. Now we can believe it or not.
  • Dianne - In Reply on John 3 - 4 years ago
Ted The bible doesn't say but I'd like to believe he was because He begged for the body and put it in a fresh tomb. Also when you work Gods word closely He just wrapped in cloth others came by later and embalmed Him so that's an indication He believed he was going to raise from the dead, whats really interesting is all the disciples walked away and one betrayed Him all scattered. When it comes to the Gospels you have to be very careful sequence of events.
