  • Returning to God with All Our Heart - In Reply - 4 years ago
It is such a joy to meet someone who can barely believe the wonders that God is willing to show to those who love and are excited, about what He has prepared for us to find.

I decided a long time ago to believe every single thing God has said in His Word. It's not hidden to those who understand God is Creator; willing to show us the mysteries. Sometimes I go outside at night and just stare upwards...knowing that He's looking at me.

I threw off doubts, like Lazarus was encased in the wrappings of his shroud; after Jesus told him to come forth! Luke 11:43-44, 25-26

I was out at this bird sanctuary in a frozen January looking at cranes standing on floating blocks of ice. I remark how dead everything looks. My friend says, Not! Flips over a rock and I kneel down to see this whole "bug city" happily doing bug things. I've never forgotten how my unbelief turned into Wonder. When life looks really dead and standstill; flip over the rock.

Doubt and unbelief are killers. Life is way more interesting than television. I resent advertisers attempting to capture my loyalty to yucky hamburgers. I have a photo of a mother duck with 8 tiny babies on her back, and it makes me think of God. He is so much closer than we think. He loves us and wants to show us things...if we will just slow down and take a walk with Him. I guess Romans 1 captures my heart and loyalty to God, who has made all of this so we can clearly see Him.

Why is it so hard to tell others, like the Samarian woman at the well who met Jesus and ran fast as she could to tell others, COME SEE A MAN..who told me all the words of my life!!

He is on every page in the Bible. Your joy, gives Him joy in your life. Even on the dark, cloudy days. He's refreshing the earth :)

Maybe if we turn again towards our Lord, the rains will return and end this drought in our land?

Stop the famine, of not hearing the Word of God. Tell of his Mighty Love.

    Adam,

Mystery Babylon behaves and fulfills prophesy as if mirroring the beast. At the day of the Lord, and while in the midst of destroying the whole house of Israel (modern day), anti-christ attacks and takes 3 nations from his own confederacy.

( Ezekiel 38:13) Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? anti-christ destroyed his own property.

    Daniel confirms the prophesy:

( Daniel 7:24) And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them (Gog); and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings, [Sheba, and Dedan, and Tarshish].

( Daniel 11:42) He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. [Saudi Arabia, Egypt & Turkey?]

    ..............................................................................

On 9-11-01 America attacked itself, blamed the attack on a patsy and rushed off to war, all on a pack of lies. To fight an "enemy" who fought on the US side against Iraq and Syria as hired mercenaries. This is "The Greater Israel Project," carving out a buffer zone between Israel, their neighbors and more.

US Statement From General Wesley Clark: (after 3 towers in NY were plucked), we're going to take out 7 ME countries in 5 years.

( Revelation 9:10) And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men FIVE months.

After Biblical Babylon falls, the Beast "takes" 3 of his 10 allies, leaving 7 nations in his command. The US does prophesy backwards to mimic what the Beast does by taking 3 of their own horns (towers), then taking 7 nations in 5 years (months). According to the rules of numerology, this is a perfect supplanted fit.

Norman Walker , I totally sympathize Norman , some of the things people put on here do leave me literally speechless , I wouldn't know where to start to respond , the best way to combat this for me , is to not read the posts from people that you know you are not going to agree with , just move on and find something that you can enjoy discussing with some one who is obviously looking for a genuine chat about the things pertaining to God and His Son and the Kingdom , if I read all posts and attempted to answer them all I would not bother with this site , stay away from the things that you know will wind you up and you will find plenty to enjoy here , much love in Christ .

    Norman,

This is how we communicate our views to one another. We are passionate. It has always been like this. People need to be corrected. I know people who think Jesus was jet black, does that mean I should keep quiet about the matter, or tell them Revelation 1:13-15 describes a transfigured Jesus? You need to know when to say your peace. Better to have disputes than to abandon the Word completely. The plethora of errors written in the Bible, make the people to err, and drop away. However the truth is raised, so be it. Jesus stuck it to the authority, would you rather have him silenced?

I would like to also add that when Jesus said "These sign shall follow them that believe," He was speaking of the apostles that he sent out, that no harm would come upon them. This does not apply to the church.

I just wanted to clarify that because there are some in churches today that apply it to us as believers. There's even been some in churches that have put it to the test and have handled poisonous snakes and have died!
  • Jesse - In Reply - 4 years ago
    NIKKIWAGGONER,

I agree with Chris that it doesn't specifically say that the snake bit Paul. Those who were there must have thought he was bitten because they expected him to drop over dead within a few seconds.

Whether he was bit or not, We don't know for sure. It just says the viper fastened onto his hand. I tend to lean towards him being bit. My reason for believing he was bit is because a snake will fasten on by either biting or wrapping itself around an object. Once a snake wraps itself around, it tightens up and is difficult to shake off.

It tells us that Paul was able to shake the snake off into the fire. I tend to believe it would be easier to shake a snake off your hand if it were holding on with its fangs verses being wrapped around the hand. But this is only my reasoning. We simply don't know for sure.

What we do know is that whether or not Paul was bit, he was unharmed.

But this is a great teaching on Mark 16:17-18. Jesus said "And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name shall they cast out devils, or more literally demons. They shall speak with new languages. They shall take up serpents, or snakes, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover."

Notice in Verse 18, it says they shall take up serpents, snakes. The word "take up" in the Greek is the word remove.

So basically, Paul saw it as if a venomous snake is going to bite anybody, it's going to be me because God gave me the promise that I have got to get to Rome, and I'll get rid of the danger. He removed the danger. He cast the snake into the fire.

Hi Norman, I believe that these would be some of the words we all need in our lives on a daily basis, God bless

Galatians 5:13-26 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

The account in Acts 28:3-6 doesn't indicate that Paul was bitten by the viper - it seemed to have just latched onto Paul's hand after which Paul shook it off. But if Paul did get bitten, as the others looked to see whether his hand swelled up or if he fell down dead, then it seems that the poison had no effect, as the Lord gave him immunity.

You are right , Jesus is the Son of God , that's the testimony of God and Jesus and most everyone else . Within the Bible . There are doctrines that appear to say Jesus is God , but no Jesus was made by God the father in close reading .

It pleased the father that all the fullness of the God head should dwell in Jesus . An example of Gods sovereign work in Jesus His Son . Jesus the Son received from the father many things he did not have . It's simple but confusion is not hard when truth is not heard . Men intentionally confuse truth and many are duped . Study the Bible and truth will set you free .

Good info, but it doesn't square with Joseph at sundown (7 pm) asking the roman soldier if Jesus was dead. The point is they didn't know at sundown, and had to check. The other two criminals were alive at sundown so their legs were broken.

    ( Luke 23:52-53)

52 This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.

53 And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.

How could Jesus have possibly died at 3 pm, 4 hours before sundown, when Joseph took his body?

    S Spencer,

"The group in Revelation is not reigning on the earth"

I said "alluding" because it's not so obvious who they are, but it is obvious from what they do. Yeah, I know they're in heaven, and will reign on earth. Read it again.

"And they're not the 144 thousand seen in Revelation Ch. 7 and 14. In Revelation 7 and 14 they're 12000 out of every tribe of Israel."

How many times do you want God to tell you who they are, and in how many ways? There's something called a rough number. If you can't see the likeness between those 2 figures, math is not your calling.

"In Revelation 5:9:11. It directly says they're out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;"

Seriously? That is them!!! Israel was scattered all over the earth, Israel's seed is everywhere, and from those nations and tongues are where the 144K are gathered from. THEY LOST THEIR IDENTITY, THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY ARE be it Dan, Ruben, or Gad. They're sealed out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation, that's who Israel has become. Israel represents EVERYONE.

"I believe this is the Church that has been raptured up."

Did you add that number up? It comes out to roughly 144k. depending on what thousands of thousands is, That amount of people would only cover a medium city. What would you do in the first resurrection anyways. ( Revelation 7:15) witnesses have taken up all the jobs. I thought like you because someone told me about a rapture, so I studied up. What speculation I have is backed up by scripture, you'll always have doubt. Be thankful for ( Ezekiel 37:1-14).

Carrie I know of three in depth studies done According to the Word of the last week of Jesus Christ life which actually fit perfect and all are in agreement with each other which they should be. One part I got Jesus Christ was our passover the week he was crucified, all the law had to be fulfilled so they had to have his body down before sunset because to celebrate passover they couldn't touch anything unclean also He was in the Grave three days and 3 nights reason being according to eastern law to be declared legally dead you had to be dead 72 hours. That calendar year he was crucified wednesday afternoon and down by sunset and rose between sunset and before sunrise that sabbath. The two marys showed up before sunrise and he was already risen. Really neat stuff

S Spencer I agree the apostle Paul was given the revelation or knowledge from Jesus Christ on how the body of christ should operate and Paul witness to all asia in 2 years and three months Acts 19:9+10, and yet years later according to 2 Timothy 1:15 all Asia turned away from Paul thats an unbelievable statement so not only did people change beliefs they were no longer endeavoring to walk in body by the spirit. I've seen the same in my lifetime, it says in Ephesians Endeavoring to keep unity of spirit in bond of peace. May God show all of how to get better. God Bless

I am kind of lost for words. I have tried three times now to say what I want to say but cannot find the words to do so. There is name calling, talking down to others and just not being what a God fearing person should be on here. If you do not like what someone says then just forgive them and move on. I know this will not do any good at all but I have seen this site go down hill for six months now because of all the ones that think they know all the answers to everything going on right now and the past. I would not want one of my kids to see this site now. If you cannot keep you rude comments to yourself then please stop. I have even seen several people say that the virus is not real and is a fake. You do not know and I do not know the truth about it or where it came from. Please do not ack like you know. I have seen people die from it or at least that is what they said it was? This is one of the most wonderful sites I have ever seen so please lets keep it this way. Amen and thank you Lord for everything you do and have done for me and my Family. I still have not found the words I really wanted to use.

    S Spencer,

I don't see evidence supporting anyone other than the 144k firstfruits being of the first resurrection. The group in Revelation 5 that live as kings and priests, are the 144k. What the 144k do for a thousand years is symbolic ( Revelation 7:15) Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. The 144k are the church, they are the bride. They are Christ-like. They are the only group officially sealed. Revelation is peppered with them in 7 chapters, illustrated in allegory or metaphor to subtly let you know something is afoot.

I found a scripture that would bolster your belief ( Isaiah 13:15). It's for pre-tribbers, but don't tell them.

( 1 Thessalonians 4:17) Everything hinges on this description, then weighing out the billions of people who will attend. It could be that Paul, who's part of the elect 24, was describing his fellow saints rising. I understand your position, better to be a seventh trumpet riser, than the others. What other scripture supports your doctrine? I will spend some time researching this and other scriptures that lend clarity.

In summary, it all depends on how you interpret scripture, or if you're strongly committed to an ideology to alter. I have looked in the web at what others think about prophesy, scholars, and my interpretations all all to myself. I want God to grade my Bible IQ when we're face to face (2nd resurrection).

    Carry Lennert,

This by the Bible can not be confirmed, Daniel told when the Messiah would come Daniel 9:25, 483/476.4 years from the going forth to rebuild Jerusalem and the walls. They went forth around 446 BC minus 476.4 360-day years=29 AD. If you take in Luke 3 it was the 15 th year of Tiberius Caesar who came to be emperor 14 AD, which also puts it in 29 AD. Also, Pontius Pilate ruled from 26-36 A.D. The start of John the Baptist ministry.

Jesus went to 3 Passovers John 2:13, John 5:1, John 6:4 The fourth Passover He was crucified, John19:14. That would put 1080 days from the first Passover Jesus after he was baptized by John the Baptist. This leaves 180 days so, this would put the baptizing of Jesus in the month of Tehri, September- October our months. 40 days of temptation and then choosing the twelve will put them before the wedding in Cana of Galilee and the first Passover Jesus went after He was baptized by John the Baptist.

Jesus gave up the ghost at 3 PM the ninth hour on 14 th day of Nisan the 5 th day of the week. Jesus' ministry was 42 months or 1260 days. God placed Jesus at the exact day and month of the year the first Passover was done in Egypt. Jesus went into Jerusalem on the 10 th of Nisan the day the lambs were taken up and held until Passover.

Jesus was placed on the cross at 9 AM the same time the first Tamid lamb was sacrificed and put on the altar. All during that day, all the people's sin offerings were placed on the altar. Jesus gave up the ghost at 3 PM the same time the last Tamid lamb was placed on top of all the sin offerings for that day on the altar. The First and Last. Also, the time the priest started catching the blood of people's Passover lambs and pouring it on the altar.

If God caused just the things I listed to be done at the exact time. If God wanted these dates to match to the exact second, it would have been so. May you have a purpose for your question. All is possible through faith in Jesus Christ.

    Peace be with you brother.

Thank you so much for the response. This virus has affected society in general and is so handicapped that even fellowship in a church is disappearing. I myself can be straight and honest with you all I know Jesus lives in me but still I lack true fellowship with believers that are on fire for God and I want that. There's one verse that has touched me and still does and that's in Revelation 21 where he says all their tears will be wiped away. My Christian life has been a struggle. My family aren't Christian and within that lies a problem in my spiritual growth hence the whole attack on spiritual forces. I've been asking the Holy Spirit to guide me into a church that is on fire and wants to go all out. But if it's one thing I'm learning is patience and waiting is something we have to do like Psalms 130 says I'll wait for you. For now we pray for each other and hope that all of us are in one sound mind and remain spotless until the return of Christ

9/11 was already called 'national emergency day' before 2001, because people dial 911 for an emergency operator in the US. While not an official national holiday, this date was on some calendars and congress also acknowledged this special date before 2001. I believe that's why the muslim terrorists chose this date, because they created a national emergency on our national emergency day.

    Dianne,

John stopped baptizing around 3 pm (sun was high in sky)

If Jesus died at 3 pm that would make sense. However, sundown in Jerusalem, April 7th is 7 pm.

Jesus may have died closer to sun down, as Joseph and Nicodemus came to collect and bury Him. Before sundown the Romans broke the legs of the 2 criminals, but not Jesus, as he was already dead. Perhaps Jesus' 42 months expired, making Him succumb, prompting Him to start talking to the Father so he wasn't alone.

In contrast, anti-christ loses power when his 42 months expire, then he is consumed. This has me curious if there's an answer out there in academia, or if they are able to make such assumptions.
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Hi Brother Arnold.

I can second everything you have said, And I agree with Brother Chris also. Things is just not the way it started in acts 2. The Church prophesized with leaven in it from the the very beginning. " Leviticus 23:17. " Also Paul said in

Acts 20:29-30. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

("" Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them."")

Also Jude: Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe the Church has become worldly and is spiritually wounded. But they're many like yourself that feels a nudge from the Holyspirit to not be slothful in true worship. While you are there come forward and offer help in that area, lets do our best to make a difference. I'm going through the same thing, your complaint mirrors mine!

One thing I can tell you that the coronavirus did is manifest this lack of Genuine Love between the brothern.

Their worship was always at a place and on a day. but not in truth and in spirit.

Reminds me of John 4:23-24. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Continue to keep yourself in scripture and sharing at your church and with others in the spirit of meekness, Believe me it's a struggle! but remember you are not alone.

    God bless you.

There was a man I think His name was star daily Great man of God, confessed Romans 10:9+10 on death row believed and don't know if it was instantaneous of over time but when they came for execution His visage Changed so much that they believed they locked up the wrong man and set Him free. Another one was a narcotics dealer in south america son of an Evangelist who mother was preaching one night and stopped to pray for her son. At the time she prayed he had a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger and it shot but the bullet turned to power in his mouth. He new it was a miracle got born again. One more I met a lady born again that was prayed for her sickness, died was rolled down to the hospital area for autopsy and shocked the examiners because before they did anything she woke up and sat up healed.
