All the hatred in the middle east is because Abraham didn't want to wait on God . He took the ability to have sexual relations that God had restored to him and used it outside of God's plan. God said that Sarah would be the mother of the nation not Hagar. Any time that we do not follow God's will for our lives it will result in damaging our walk with Christ.

This one verse has gotten me out of numerous situations, to get into trouble with loose thinking and loose speaking. Memorize this one:

As others have indicated here, James, you are not bound to any particular Church Fellowship or even a branch of the same Church. You will have your reasons for changing to another. However, I suspect that if you're with a very "closed" fellowship, then you're very likely going to need the approval of the presiding elder & a letter of introduction (or, letter of commendation if you are a Christian Worker), to the other Fellowship so that you will be readily accepted by them. This would be the normal practice & courtesy afforded between Fellowships/Assemblies.

Thank you Dianne for your contribution to this thread. I did take note of your understanding of Genesis 1:2 (i.e. saying that in the original text, 'was' is actually 'became'). So, I looked up the Hebrew for that word, which is 'ha-ye-tah', & the meaning given is, 'fall out, come to pass, become', which correlates to somewhat to your understanding. And yet, in reading the Hebrew Interlinear rendering, the word 'was' is still used & not implying that the Earth became something imperfect from something perfect. Of course, the word could allow for the other as well.

In any case, the point I was making in this thread, was that even if the Earth became formless & void from the workings of Satan (or, whatever), what Scriptures are evident to show that actually happened that way? All I see is a possible story built around that verse to give it its 'intended' meaning. And I'm afraid, I never approach Scripture in that manner, or else we can really get off track, & even with the very brief explanation of the Earth's creation given to us in the Bible, the best I can do is to allow for other possibilities & leave them as such - possibilities. There is no verse in the Bible that suggests that Satan being cast down to Earth caused the Earth then to take on such a void, dark & ugly condition. To suggest that a God of Light can create such an Earth is debatable, seeing that He has also created the other worlds of planets, stars & asteroids, which are not exactly in pristine condition by our standards of course, before God's Light shined. I was thinking the same thing. No matter how hard they try, the US doesn't come across as genuine. Right from the start Jefferson and L'Enfant fashioned federal buildings after Roman architecture, and emulated Rome's political structure. They were lovers of Satan too. If you look at an aerial view of Washington DC, you will see an inverted pentagram carved into the streets, and resting on top of the White House. An owl is carved in front of the capital, among other occult objects.

Rome will remain in tact, as the false prophet (pope) operates out of the Vatican. Spiritual Babylon was relocated to the states where it lives. Let the chips fall where they may. I'm at the mercy of the US govt to be level headed.

v.43 - And whereas thou sawest iron(Roman Empire) mixed with miry clay(Israel), they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men (many nations, Gentile peoples- Revelation 11:v.2): but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron(Roman Empire-Gentile peoples) is not mixed with clay(Jewish people - Israel).

This is a question that is not easy to point out in our everyday Christian lives. While it is not so difficult to distinguish the body from the spirit and the soul; it is particularly difficult to distinguish the soul from the spirit. How are they different?

There are a few places in the Bible where the body, soul, and spirit are mentioned

1 Thessalonians 5:23, Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are composed of three parts. It is easy to distinguish the body as physical (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch). The spirit and soul are much more difficult because they seem similar, but are actually very different.

They have different functions in our lives as Christians in Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Matthew 10:28:And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

The soul is basically our mind, our emotions, and our will. It is who we are as human beings. It is also used to express God. As written in Luke 1:46-47, Mary said: My SOUL glorifies the Lord and my SPIRIT rejoices in God my Savior."

The function of the spirit is spiritual. The spirit is the only way to connect with God, and we can only use the spirit if we are born again, and receive The Holy Spirit through our Lord Jesus Christ's salvation.

Scripture is clear:This quoted verse reveals us the AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT of these spirits of demons like frogs which guide the peoples or rule the nations of all tongues in whole earth, through all kind of devilish systems, as religious systems (catholicism, and Judaism, and spiritism, budhism, islamism, among many others), and political systems, and military systems, and social and cultural systems, among others systems. In fact, Satan goes to and fro and from walking up and down among them.

All that Jesus received was from his Father . That makes him the Son of God .

The Gap Theory was developed based on wording of 1Genesis:1-2 and theorizes the world is much older and different than the world that was created for our existence over 6000 years ago. This old world could be million of years old and consisted of dinosaurs, unusual animals/plants and bi-pedal animals/neandrathals. What does this have to do with the Bible?

It's simple! If the Bible says not to forsake the assembling and someone is not attending church, then they forsake the assembling! Church attendance is God-commanded, not based on one's feeling or emotions. If attending church for ALL services seems too hard, or too much, or too legalistic, or a drudgery, then that's a heart issue.

Sometimes, satan is spiritually attacking us and tell us lies about how we view church. Sometimes we just give in to what our flesh wants, which is not wanting to get up early and go to church.

God does not make church attendance a good work to earn His favor. He wants us to attend in order to grow in grace with other believers, to encourage one another, and to be sharpen in our walk with Him!

One thought on America that I believe is true. America was one of the first countries to allow citizenship separate from baptism. Because of this the Church was free to live, teach and reach the rest of the world by the Gospel. For me this is the most valuable part of the US Constitution keeping religion separate from the state for the sake of free choice so that one may hear the call of God to repentance and answer freely.

Have you ever wondered why Miriam became leprous and not Aaron?

Paul and many Christians that i know once they accepted Jesus they never looked back, can someone like me who left the church and lived a life of sin come back to Jesus and be forgiven because there are times when guilt and shame overwhelm me and it is so hard to imagine God could forgive me since i knew better. I noticed you believe all that happens in the book of Revelation is symbolic roll playing in heaven. I'd like to offer my opinion if you don't mind. What is the point of understanding scripture if the lessons are not earthly? Therefore, I pay close attention to current events while balancing both physical & spiritual realms. I see prophesy being fulfilled here on earth as a standard. I see non stop wars in the 21st century as a way of life, starting with Revelation 9 and the phony "war on terror." With that being said, I expect this current world to slip further into chaos, prompting our savior Jesus Christ to return as promised. Everything written in the Bible will manifest itself here on earth, and can be pointed out in its time, similar to Jesus acknowledging that John was in the order of Elijah. This makes living my life much more engaging, as I wait for Jesus to come smoking down the track. My approach is very personal.

How many "WATCHMEN" have put God before country? Who has heard what the prophets said about Mystery Babylon, and the merchants of Babylon Proper, sitting across the pond? The people know no better than support and defend this bully in the name of patriotism. The iron and clay will show no mercy in the hour of thy visitation. When they fan the land, the stubble will defiantly wonder what they possibly did wrong to deserve desolation. On that day, and in that hour, I will die happy knowing that America's NWO was "taken" in their attempt to rule the world from Jerusalem for a thousand years.

From what I have read in the scriptures, first the last enemy to be destroyed is death, apostle Paul. Second Jesus Christ was the first fruits I.E. first person raised from the dead permanently. In genesis from dust thou art and unto dust thall shalt return, also in death the body decays the soul life or breath of life ends when a human takes his last breath. Then we come to the spirit, if a person is born again the spirit I.E. goes back to where it originated from. When Christ returns those asleep in Christ I.E. dead will be raised up and those alive will meet Him in the air, thessalonians gathering together changed in an instant, and go to bema to be given rewards for our faithfulness to the word not condemned for our mistakes paid for by Jesus Christ, all others will stand in last judgement of Just and unjust in revelation. This is my understanding, and for me it fits with all of scripture. I do not believe the true Gods will is to kill or else why didn't his Only begotten Son who was and is our example of how to believe and what to do. Also there was no sickness sorrow suffering or death in the bible until the serpent i.e. the devil in the garden tricked Eve and Adam and handed over power and authority of this world luke 4:5+6 that's when he became 2 Corinthians 4:4. Also in the gospels Jesus Christ said the prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in me. This is what I've gathered so far

This comes from Matthew chapter 7. Jesus said in Verse 24, "Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and does them, (notice the emphasis is hearing the sayings of Jesus), He says the sayings of Mine; and does them, I will liken him to a wise man that built his house upon a rock."

And by the way the word rock used here is the word (PETRA), the same thing that Jesus told Peter, and we see that in Chapter 16 where Jesus says "Upon this rock I will build my church."

It wasn't Peter! Peter is (PETROS). PETRA is a completely different word which refers to Christ. He is the PETRA. It is the designation for Christ and His word in scripture. So Jesus says that everybody that hears these saying of mine and does them will be like a wise man that built his house upon a rock and when the storm comes (which is judgment), his house will stand.

In Verses 26 and 27, Jesus is saying everybody that hears these words of mine. Jesus is making Himself the authority. He didn't say to them, I just gave you a commentary on the law. He says, everybody that listens to these words of mine, and does them. But He tells them that those who do not do them, their house is going to fall. Oh my goodness, that is not going to sit too well with the religious people who are listening to Him speak!
