Are you using a King James Bible?

I'm generally responding to other people's posts, which I enjoy very much. I don't care for controversy as a rule. I'm an old evangelist who can't seem to retire yet. I try to interest others to speak their faith to others while the Lord tarries a little more. I think that's what this forum is about. That, and just answering questions.

You learn stuff on the sidewalks of life. If I ran into you, I would think you are not ready to hear the Good News.

I've been fasting all day, the sun is setting and I'm off to quiet the grumbling in my middle :D

My cat is holding a vigil over her bowl too. I will see everyone tomorrow. God speed. (I've never known what that really means, do you?

It is possible I read your comment incorrectly. Are you a born-again believer, doing battle with the devil, and shouting obscenities? Are you casting out demons in the name of Jesus? Or is your way of doing "battle" purely fleshly? Say some more, in case I'm wrong.... Sorting out your lifetimes / super-ego changing past events . . . . sounds New Agey brother. Victory is in the finished work of Christ on the Cross (resulting in our peace) not in shouting obscenities

and being overtaken by our dominant thoughts.

Hi Roy, blessings and peace to you in the Lord Jesus Christ. . . . A scripture that Mishael used recently comes to mind: Philippians 3:3 "For we are the circumcision which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh." In Christ, anxiety is not sweet, it is mental flesh.... nightmares are to be cast out, and obscenities are from Satan's mouth. What are you talking about? We are to test the spirits. The Holy Spirit always speaks Peace: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world gives, give I unto you.
  • Beginning Days of the Church of Jesus Christ - In Reply - 4 years ago
Jesus's birth is told in Matthew and Luke. TowRds the End of the Gospel accounts, AFTER Jesus's resurrection, he is witnessed by 500 people from town.

There are passages that cover the time between resurrection and the Day of Ascension into heaven; and Jesus was with his disciples (THE CHURCH). They are told to tarry for the Day of Pentecost (50 days).

On Pentecost they receive the in dwelling of the Spirit of Christ: the Holy Spirit. Not only they were filled with the Holy Spirit, but the towns people rejoiced also, bearing witness to the event.

The Book of Acts is the going forth of the Church.

The Disciples (now Apostles) were The Church. Their first act was to replace Judas (who committed suicide), which they did in the permissive will of God. Later, Paul would be the 12th Apostle, appointed by Jesus himself to evangelize the Gentiles.

  • Where is the Ark of the Lord - In Reply on 1 Chronicles 22 - 4 years ago
    1 Samuel 5

1 After the Philistines had captured the ark of God, they took it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.

2 Then they carried the ark into Dagon's temple and set it beside Dagon.

3 When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the LORD! They took Dagon and put him back in his place.

4 But the following morning when they rose, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the LORD! His head and hands had been broken off and were lying on the threshold; only his body remained.

5 That is why to this day neither the priests of Dagon nor any others who enter Dagon's temple at Ashdod step on the threshold.

6 The LORD's hand was heavy upon the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation upon them and afflicted them with tumors.

7 When the men of Ashdod saw what was happening, they said, "The ark of the god of Israel must not stay here with us.

8 So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and asked them, "What shall we do with the ark of the god of Israel?" They answered, "Have the ark of the god of Israel moved to Gath." So it was moved to Israel.

9 But after they had moved it, the LORD's hand was against THAT city, throwing it into a great panic. He afflicted the people of the city, both young and old, with an outbreak of tumors.

10 So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. As the ark of God was entering Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out, "They have brought the ark of the god of Israel around to kill us and our people.

11 So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and said, "Send the ark of the god of Israel away; let it go back to its own place, or it will kill us and our people. For death had filled the city with panic; God's hand was very heavy upon it.

Babylonians sacked Jerusalem. The Ark had found its way to Ethiopia, where it still resides in the town of Aksum, in the St. Mary of Zion cathedral.

    It's not on display.
  • Pursuing Jesus in Scripture clears the reflection - In Reply - 4 years ago
    1 Corinthians 13:12

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Paul now describes this partial knowledge of God as seeing a reflection in a dim mirror. Some scholars suggest that he had in mind Corinth's famous bronze mirrors, known for their imperfect reflections. After the coming of Christ, when the church is fully mature as He is, however, we will see God face to face, knowing Him in person instead of through partial revelation.

In fact, Paul adds, we will know God and His ways then as He knows us now. God, of course, is never limited in His knowledge. He knows everything there is to know about us, even what we do not see or understand about ourselves. In that day, when God comes to live among us ( Revelation 21:1-5), we will know fully, as He knows us fully in this moment now.

  • Jesus Breathed on his disciples before Pentecost - In Reply on John 20 - 4 years ago
    John 20

21Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

22And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

23Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Breath is often a picture of the Spirit (in fact, the Hebrew word for Spirit is also the word for breath), so Jesus"breathed"on the men while He was standing with them in His physical presenceto indicate what He was preparing to do later by theSpirit. Therefore, Jesus was not imparting theSpirit tothem in John 20 in any real sense. He was promising to do so later at Pentecost.

We can be anointed for tasks unto the Lord. As in Matthew 26:37-46. The Body of Christ is Jesus's feet, his hands, his mouth, his Words. His heat is MERCY.

I oft compare evangelizing to swimming. It's almost 4th of July :) Some people walk in up to their ankles, not sure they have Jesus with them. Some get in up to the knees boldly, but don't want to get their clothes wet. Then people like me, jump in the deep, get soaked and splash Jesus on everybody. When He anoints you, He's working through you. If you remember how you came to believe; you know enough to tell someone else.

If you ask any Pastor, only about 20% of the congregation are tithing. It's hard for me to find Christian bookstores where I live, so I don't mind perusing through books and pamphlets on my way to the parking lot. I may buy some that are good handouts for impromptu evangelistic opportunities that come up.

If we're praying to the Lord of the Harvest, to send workers into the harvest; sometimes that's us :D One of my attention grabbers is "Whatcha Got?" I know, it's lame but my face is funny.

    Psalms 104:4

Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

    Luke 4:10

For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

    Matthew 26:53

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

    Hebrews 13:2

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

    Luke 4:10

For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

    Psalms 91:11

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

    Job 34:16

If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

Acts 27:23 - For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Psalms 91:1-16 - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Read More...)

    2 Kings 6:17

And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

    Mishael=they were angels.

If you need assistance, healing or protection; pray directly to God, in Jesus name, and ask God for angelic help through the trial. We cannot order the angels ourselves, nor can we worship them ever.

*they hearken to the spoken word of God; they enjoy praise and worship music and singing to the Lord.

If your home is dark with spiritual warfare? this is how to shine in the light of Gods love.

Has anyone else had experience with the ministry of angels in the believers life?

I had one save my life actually more than once.

    Praise God!

    Prayer for Healing

I pray against sickness in my coming and going. I pray against any form of sickness coming near me, my family, or near my vicinity. I claim my healing against: (speak your disease out now) in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I declare by the power and authority of the Holy Ghost, that no illness, spirit of infirmity or sickness attack from the enemy shall prevail against me in Jesus's mighty name. I am covered by the Blood of Jesus.

I confess Jesus Christ as my infinite Healer, and by His holy stripes and mighty authority, I declare that I am totally healed from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.I render every satanic attack against me bound up and cast out by the Name of Jesus! every spiritual foundation of sickness, and I command every infirmities spirit to bow down right now to the authority that is in the name of Jesus Christ. Go into outer darkness. Do not return in Jesus of Nazareth name!

I say with confidence that I am the healed of the LORD Jesus Christ. I cover myself and family with Christ's precious holy blood of Jesus and I declare by His holy might and righteousness, dominion and authority that it shall continue to be well with me and my family in all dominion, and dimensional realms.

I forbid by the authority of the Holy Ghost any reoccurrence of sickness in my life. I claim immunity for me and for my family against every form of sicknesses with the atonement blood of Jesus Christ. I declare that we carry the mark of Christ Jesus; therefore, let no infirmities spirits ever trouble us!

In Jesus of Nazareth holy name and by His righteous authority I have decreed and declared! I stand in faith. Amen.

Do not listen to the lies of Doubt. It's not anything we do right, to be healed. It is solely your trust in what Jesus says.

Jesus's Blood sacrifice is more lethal than anything satan is using. Preface healing scriptures with: IT IS WRITTEN...(speak scripture)

Beware of dogs... Dogs? Who are them?

JESUS said: Revelation 22:v.12 and 15

12 Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

15 For without are DOGS, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

But who are these dogs among us? The answer is in Isaiah 56:v. 8-11

8 The Lord God, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb DOGS, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are SHEPHERDS that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

And the TAIL of the red Dragon? Who are them?

The Word of GOD reveals who are them.

Yes. There will be two Beasts as soon the last week of Daniel 9:v.27 starts. Both Beasts will work together-(1)The Beast of sea-a Gentile Beast;and (2)"ANOTHER Beast will come up out of the earth(Israel);and he has two horns like a lamb, and he speaks as a Dragon

    (1)BEAST OF SEA

Rev.13:v.1-And I stood upon the sand of the sea (sea means waters. Waters mean peoples, and nations, and multitudes of all tongues-Gentile peoples), and saw a Beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads (7 heads are 7 mountains, and 7 kings),and ten horns (10 horns are 10 kings), and upon his (10) horns ten crowns (because are 10 kings) , and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. What's name of blaspheme? Well, this Man Beast, is a religious and satanic MONSTER who has 7 heads in this current time, the 10 kings are not linked to him yet, and this powerful religious and satanic MONSTER manifests himself as a Christian, even as Vicarius Filii Dei, actually a false Christian.

The 7 heads of the Beast are 7 hills or 7 mountains that Christians imagine Scriptures refer to the 7 hills of Rome. In anyway, the woman which rides upon the Beast of sea-the RCC- is materially sat upon many peoples, and multitudes, and nations and tongues, and all them are spread by 7 regions of the Earth, i.e.in Europe, and Asia, Africa,Oceania(Australia), and North America,Central America, and South America, but spiritually they are guided and ruled by the Beast of sea, whose headquarter is Vatican City built on the 7 hills of Rome.

About 10 kings they will be linked to that Beast of sea when the MAN Beast of earth(2) gives to him his Throne in Jerusalem, and Power, and great Authority to him.

(2)The Beast of earth(Israel) like a lamb,a false lamb,an esoteric, and kabbalistic, and spiritist Beast, future guide and ruler of Judaism,he will manifest himself as messiah,a man understood in Torah,a false prophet of the Jews-2 Th.2

Each one will rule Antichrist's kingdom by 3,5 years for each one
  • Dogs and False Prophets and Teachers - In Reply on Philippians 3:2 - 4 years ago
    Philippians 3

In verse 18, Paul expressed his sorrow over the plight of unsaved false teachers. In this verse, he offers four descriptions regarding their behaviors.

First these false teachers are not simply Christians who misunderstood a portion of the gospel. These are unsaved individuals, rejecting the gospel itself, and who will experience destruction apart from faith in Christ.

Second, for false teachers, Paul notes their focus on greed. Many false teachers, then and now, seek money in order to make a profit ( 1 Timothy 6:5), rather that truly serving the Lord. In contrast to Christ-like believers, false teachers are more concerned with their own desires than the needs of other people ( Romans 16:18).

Third, these false teachers call evil good, and promote sinful actions as being right. More than simply excusing sin, they celebrate it.

Fourth, the goal of false teachers is not on Christ and being with Him for eternity. In contrast with Paul's teachings, throughout chapter 3, their goal is on the here and now. Their only thought is what they can get out of life and other people-today.

    Philippians 3:2, 3, 18, 19

2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the ENEMIES of the cross of Christ:

19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their BELLY, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.

Mishael: do not be deceived. We're living in the time period of the Great Falling Away (into apostasy). Your defense is to know what the Bible says, on what someone teaches you. Search it out yourself. Don't "eat" everything someone tosses out your way, until you verify the scriptures.

Bless those who ARE teaching truth. God will confirm it.

In I Corinthians 10:8 it refers to the 23,000 who died. Can anyone explain what happened to them? It seems like they were nonbelievers, pagans but living back in the time of Moses. What was Paul trying to get across here? I thought the law was by then covered by Jesus' sacrifice. Thanks in advance for your help!

1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all your things be done with charity. 1 John 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

Colossians 3:5 - Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Comment by Mishael: Amongst Church members, I would hope that we don't judge each other's greetings.

In our present culture we seem to be hyper aware of any kind of sexual harassment.

Inside of our Church setting we should be able to greet each other with a handshake and squeeze on the arm without a problem.

Rather than be shocked by standoffness, try to discern the other persons body language. We are naturally hyper now due to Covid-19 and Variant fears. It is, what it is.
  • Adam - In Reply on Exodus 23 - 4 years ago
Hello, it would seem nice if there was a clear cut line for all sins, wouldn't it. But if we knew that, would our goal then be to get as close to that line as possible without going over? Is that really what Christians should do who genuinely love and follow Jesus?

We could ask the same question for drunkenness. 2-3 beers ok? 4-5, 6-8? Lying: a little white lie ok? What about if it will protect someone? What if no one will find out? Theft- what if its 'communal' property, what if the person I take from is 'bad' and 'deserves it'? Murder: abortion if below 1 month? What about 4 months? 9 months? What about after birth if deformed? What about elderly? What about all ages if we don't like them?

Satan loves to tempt people with making tiny little increments towards sin, and he's good at deceiving people into doing it. What if the goal if Christians shouldn't be to see how close the line they can go, but play it safe and try to love and follow God with all your heart, soul, and strength?

Fornication isn't the only sin involved in the scenario you describe, but lust. Jesus didn't say "I died on the cross so you can sin all you want now." If anything he was MORE restrictive, saying sin no more, and if you love Him to obey His commandments. He also said this: Matthew 5:28

    God bless...
  • S Spencer - In Reply on Exodus 23 - 4 years ago
    Hi George.

I would say that is a tough question for me atleast.

But if I was to guess at it I would say you probably could use the same principle for fornication as seen here for Adultery.

Matthew 5:28-29. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

If you eyes leads you to lust you pluck them out.

So if your hugging and kissing leads one to lust then maybe you shouldn't.

I would go further to say if ones testimony or credibility as a Christian is in question why not get married?

None believers look for such things to attack the Church.

    God bless.

    Greetings in Christ JESUS,

Please, dear John, you are implying that I believed your misleading message which is not true.

Here's what I told for you two times in my answer to you around 12-13 hours ago:--> I am not American, and I must say that you are wrong. What you said above is FAKE. ISAIAH DO NOT REFERS TO AMERICA ABSOLUTELY. Again: I am not American, but what you wrote about the prophecy of ISAIAH - the Word of GOD - yeah, what you wrote is FAKE, it's TARES.

You are not being fair in saying that I am gullible in believing your message. No, I'm not, I didn't believe you, by the way, I proved whether the spirit was from God or not; I discerned the spirit of the lie, even a disguised spirit in your message.

About Revelation 13 - two Beasts - I will comment separately in another post you posted later or after this one.

What matters is the Truth. GOD is the Truth. The Word is GOD, understand?

Dear, if you are born again these demons cannot harm you. If you have not taken Jesus as your Savior, confess your sins and ask Him to come into your heart. In either case, when these demons come around, order them, "In Jesus name, get behind me, Satan!" If you are saved, God will send them fleeing. I don't quite understand what you mean about someone causing this, but perhaps you should seek help from your minister or even the police if you think a human is somehow responsible for these things. God bless and keep you!

    Lauren,

You sound colorful & attentive, always seeking the Word. I enjoy looking at myself and hating what I've done, how I've embarrassed myself, or been weak along the way. My super-ego changes the outcomes of past events, and tear the buggars limb from limb. I love thinking about it over and over, a good 20 minute day dream. I even update the stories with whimsical twists. I don't kill anyone, no, cause I might miss them. It serves to make me humble, losing sleep with through sweet sweet anxiety. Sometimes when I'm feeling on top, right before bed, I'll call out my nightmares one by one, scream obscenities at them, and beat the living large intestine out of them. I can't get rid of my thoughts, they always come back bandaged up, like luggage.

There must be a way of thinking to sort my lifetimes out, bringing happiness by default.
