    Q&A "Thine footstool"

Q: "The vision of John points to seven stars which are in safekeeping of Christ. These represent overcomers and what does Christ in the midst of seven candlesticks indicate?"

A: The seven angels/stars represent the Law of the Spirit hence we have warning to each church to be an overcomer. Jesus Christ is,"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."(1:18) His work is finished. It is for them to overcome the law of sin still operating to which the present wave of persecution going on in the world is a proof. So it is squarely in the manner they withstand with all the resources God has freely given them. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."(Re.2:7) sets the tone. No church is exempt from the Law. To each the same promise stands. For instance he addresses the church at Ephesus. "To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God." All these names are interchangeable.

God made it clear to Moses his divine Will. "And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel." Israel as a nation or as church are to be a kingdom of priests. Each is blessed in his Son and for nothing else. If they do not overcome the law of sin, they shall remain as 'thine footstool'. It is for this reason Isaiah addressed,"Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me."(Is.1:2) They are witnesses.

In the inaugural vision the stars represent the Law of the Spirit. The praise of an overcomer is to be redeemed from the earth, so he for example shall feed on the tree of life in the midst of the paradise of God.(Re.22:1-3)

    Hello Tdianne

Your situation is one that is difficult to deal with in the best way. These are your family and you love them. It can be hard to begin to establish reasonable boundaries in such relationships. But it is never too late to do so.

As others have said, being honest about your financial situation and the future you face being disabled so that your family members can see that you are not able to continue to "rescue" them or support them financially. I suggest that you inform them that you expect them to get jobs or assistance instead of taking advantage of you any longer. This is hard to say to loved ones and even harder to follow through on, but, in the end, it will be best for all. Your family members may be angry and manipulative towards you when you take such a stand, but you can lean on the Lord to keep you strong and mature in these relationships. When they try to emotionally blackmail you when they cannot get the money from you again, know that this behavior is wrong and you don't deserve it. They are adults and it is best for them to support themselves and learn to live within their means as you are doing.

We love our children and grandchildren dearly. This makes it hard for us to deny them what they ask and to see them go without. I will be praying for you and your family.

Q&A "Stone not cut with hands"

Q: "No tool was to be used for making an altar. Why was such an injunction given to Moses?"

A: The emblem of the slain Lamb before the foundation made any other altar unnecessary so God commanded Moses,"And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it."(Ex.20:24-25) . The earth and the fulness thereof belongs to Him. So for Moses it had limited application. "In all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee," in the case of Abraham we read that he had built altars at Shechem and Hebron. The covenant between God and the Son commemorates the stone not cut with hands which shall sweep away all other kingdoms," that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image."(Dan.2:34)

Old testament symbolized by stone tables as St Paul would say, "the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones," reminded the nation 'letter kills.' Symptomatic of the law of sin is the set that Mose broke. So what does God says,"Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest."(Ex.34:1) It entailed Moses lifting up the chisel upon the stone.' The Spirit uses it to indicate the Law of Moses was of limited application.

"How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?"(2 Co.3:8)

    Q&A "kingdom of priests"

Q: in view of God's word, the Psalm quote, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek" what does Ex.19:6 signify?

A: Precisely what it says."And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.". God blessed man in his Son so whether he is addressing Abraham or a nation it shall be unto God only is in the Son. Consider the Lord was about to give the ten commandments and a priesthood which was merely pendent to the stone tables, symbolic of the Law of the Spirit. The nation of Israel rejected the offer when they demanded Samuel for a king. Judge Samuel enquires of the Lord and he says,"And theLordsaid unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them."(1 Sa.8:7-8). In v.8 the Spirit uses the phrase 'unto this day' which is a key to the everlasting covenant that it has not been laid aside or annulled. "According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods,."

In the light of this let us go back to the Psalm quote:"TheLordsaid unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." Who are these enemies but the nation of Israel? In Re. we see the New Jerusalem descending from heaven to mid-air. The footstool (Is.66:1) is as God says , (Re.21:24

Without understanding the role of the everlasting covenant one may ever learn but shall never come to knowledge of the truth. "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.". They have a form of godliness but in glossing over the deity and power of Christ they are precisely what St Paul had in mind, "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."(2 Ti.3:1-7)

    Hey Thebigbadwolf,

Thank you for your reply, this is true, whatever this mark will be whether it is an electronic chip, a barcode, or whatever it is it will have to be shown. A first-class ticket to the lake of fire. The same as the Decian persecution in 250 AD done by Emperor Decius, many were killed or died in prison but the ones who apostatized had to show a certificate. As you said it will not be good, it will be a worldwide tribulation this world has not seen, Matthew 24:21.

We must be strong in our faith, many will be deceived and many will die, there is a verse I believe is about when this happens we will be given the strength to not take this mark, it is Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Our strength is in Jesus we must put on the full armor of God Ephesians 6:10-18.

We must take to heart what Jesus said in Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. this is what is coming, and many will fall away/apostatize.

    God bless,

It's a hard balance , you need some help , they need some cash and also they are your family so it's delicate . Be tactful and kind , maybe they don't realise how little you have , let them know that you are not rich and that you can't be relied upon to provide all the time .

If I was you , I would choose one or two of them , stick to those and make sure they understand and agree with your decision , then let the others know that you only need one or two and the rest of them you just can't afford .

You know each of them , you know who are the most reliable of them and the ones in genuine need . Speak to them individually , when you are alone with them . Explain your circumstances , be tactful and kind and pray about all this first . Talk to God and tell Him your fears , He wants to hear you , through Jesus Christ our Redeemer . Pray about this and wait for His Word to guide you .
  • Jackieboy80 - In Reply - 1 year ago
You are not doing these people any favours by allowing them to take advantage of you , especially if they are capable of providing for themselves .

As Christians we should always be ready and willing to help anyone in genuine need , if we can . If these people are able to work or claim some assistance from the government then that's what they should do .

Have you ever thought that God sees them taking advantage of you and may decide to punish them for their behaviour ? Also you may be hindering them from moving forward in their lives and taking responsibility for themselves .

Doing what is right in God's sight isn't always obvious , we have to trust that God will put everyone where they are supposed to be and the best thing you can do for these people is to pray , every day for them . Help those in genuine need without hesitation but remember that help comes in different forms and the best help is always from above .

I'm sorry , I think maybe I didn't explain myself properly . I'm not so hot at this kind of thing .

I had just noticed the coincidence that king Saul persecuted David , and Saul persecuted the followers of Jesus and both of them were of the tribe of Benjamin . Was just wondering if that was a coincidence or if there was any significance , considering that God took His mercy away from king Saul but , was merciful to Saul and Saul was converted , repented and spent the rest of his life in the service of the Gospel . Just wondered is all .

    ( Luke 6:28)

In a way, they are using you. So pray they can understand or pray God will provide you with money.

    Hey Jackieboy80,

Just a short comment, Saul did not become Paul he was Paul, there were not two Sauls. Paul was a Roman citizen his family was from slavery who was freed and made Roman citizens. His Hebrew name was Saul after King Saul both were of the tribe of Benjamin. He used this name because he was a Pharisee. His Roman or Greek name was Paulus, and when He went into the Gentiles, he may have used the name Paul/Paulas because he was the apostle to the Greeks. There are other thoughts out there but there was only one Saul/Paul you can search the archives there is more to learn if you want.

    God bless,

Not true....the mark could be placed underneath the skin by way of an electronic chip enabling a scanner reader when making a purchase, (this is active now in Sweden for some time) this could also be used as an entry system for access to key establishments such as chemists, supermarkets, hospitals, bank accounts #mobile app access... etc..However it will be used it will not be good, full control of the masses is the agenda, only our faith will prevail, the strong minded will survive so many will cave in.....even those who say they are a devout Christian will fall to the beast system. We will be tested, this is for sure.

I'm deeply sorry to hear about the pain that mothers experience from losing children, whether through suicide or miscarriage. The Bible offers comfort and hope in times of grief. Here are some verses that may provide solace:

    1. ** Psalm 34:18**: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." This verse reassures us that God is close to those who are grieving.

    2. ** Matthew 5:4**: "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." This reminds us that mourning is acknowledged and that comfort will come.

    3. ** 2 Corinthians 1:3-4**: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction." This verse emphasizes God's role as a source of comfort in times of sorrow.

    4. ** Revelation 21:4**: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." This verse offers hope for a future without pain and loss.

    5. ** Isaiah 41:10**: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This verse reassures us of God's presence and support during difficult times.

    6. ** Psalm 147:3**: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." This verse speaks to God's healing power for those who are hurting.

These verses can serve as reminders of God's love, comfort, and presence during times of profound loss. If you or someone you know is struggling, it may also be helpful to seek support from a trusted friend, family member, or counselor. If you have more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

I was just thinking about that. What I thought while I was pondering was His grace through the new covenant and how relationship with The Lord will be different than how it was in the Old Testament , but I didn't spend much time on it so that's just something that needs more time to be spent with God to see what He says. Great question I love questions that will make you think !!

Jer 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

That's what the whole verse says, we do things with our arms , think about it being dark in a roomwhere you can't see the average person will try to use they're arms and hands to find they're way through. To make your flesh your arm is to trust in yourself or human rather than God.

    Q&A "Reconciliation"

Q: The core value of seven days in the covenant is reconciliation of all things heaven and the earth unto Jesus Christ which is what the Spirit means by 'instruction in righteousness'. Am I correct?

A: Yes. " Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matt.5:48). There is no other standard than the man component in the everlasting covenant with which to be conformed in the image of his Son. The Bible sets forth the fulness of God in the narrative all place names, persons and events are therefore secondary and how heaven relates to the earth is the key with which we may enter into the scripture. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:/That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."(2 Ti.3:16-17)

Let us break up the seven days in which the first four days relate to the heaven, God divided light from darkness which has consequences on the other three days. The Spirit has organised the narrative body of the divine Will and its fulfilment under the light, "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints."(Ep.1:18) The blessed shall enter into the day seven sanctified by God,(Ge.2:1-3).

As for the Man component, God commands, on Day Three,"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so." This earth abides forever which shall have a form and present the light which called the light of the Lamb.. This earth abides forever.(Ec.1:4). "And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."(Col.1:20) This is for which we have been called. The day Three relates to the Son.

    Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verses 11+12 , 1st Samuel chapter 17 , 2nd Chronicles chapter 20 , Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5+6 .

If God be for us , who can be against us .

There are many examples in the Old Testament , of God saving the Israelites from their enemies . Read in particular the books of Samuel , Kings and Chronicles .

The ' arm ' is your confidence , your strength , putting your confidence in the flesh is a mistake .

God saves , literally , metaphorically and spiritually , He is our strength and we should only ever trust in Him , not in our own powers or in the powers of others , governments , armies , politicians etc . They and we , are just people . God is all powerful and can do as He wishes with any of us . If we loose a battle we have to accept defeat and assume that it was / is God's will that we loose a battle , maybe we were in the wrong , maybe God has other plans for us .

If our ways are not in accordance with His will , then He will let us know and we have to accept His judgements upon us .

    Hello Beverlymoss,

Once I read the verse you were referring to, I believe that "Maketh flesh his arm" means that instead of making your arm based on God, so it's kind of like a way of speaking, instead of having an arm of God, you have an arm of flesh, in other words, an arm of man which goes with the first sentence of trusting man. So the whole meaning of this verse is do not put your trust in man but in God who never fails.

I hope this answered your question, dear friend.

    Matthew chapter 12 verse 19-20

He will not quarrel nor cry out,

Nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

20 A bruised reed He will not break,

And smoking flax He will not quench,

Till He sends forth justice to victory.

The reed was used by shepherds to fashion a small musical instrument. Once cracked or worn, it was useless. A worn out wick was also useless for giving light. This represents people who are categorized as useless by the world. Christ's work was to restore and rekindle such people not to break them or quench them this speaks of His tender compassion toward the lowliest of the lost. He came not to gather the strong but to show mercy to the weak

    Luke 6:30

to give to anyone who ask, I have family members who will constantly ask money, food, just about anything, but refuse to get a job or apply for assistance. I am on oxygen 24/7 and I live on a small disability check, and gladly pay for help around the house but they act like I have unlimited resources. My question is should I keep giving to them when my money is tight, I know God has always made way for me but I get tired of worrying about making ends meet.

    Q&A "Seven days"

Q: The multiples of seven throughout the Narrative sets the Father Son relationship. It must be based on the covenant. Can you elaborate on this?

A: Yes. It is seven days which are determined by the Law of the Spirit. He is the Word, the sound as well as the sign. "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell."(Col.1:19). So 7 is made up of 4+3. This shall be seen in covenant where first four days refer to heaven while the last three days are imposed on the man component in the Son. He has a volume as well as a steward his creation is under his charge. He has to enter into the rest assured on the day Seven. Jesus Christ in the inaugural vision of John is seen holding seven stars. He is there as the Law figuratively presented which refers to 7x1000 that God has reserved for himself. It is to which God reveals to the dis-spirited Elijah. It is similar to 12x12x1000 that are seen standing on mount Sion. Both Father and the Son are co-signatories so to speak.

"And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees:"(Ex.15:27)We find seventy palm trees and twelve wells at Elim and the Spirit reports that God proved them there. God was present there as well as the Word. The Israelites camped by the waters. In rejecting the call of Jesus Christ they rejected the living waters. ( John 7:37-38)."And the Lord said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel." Anointing the elders was a forerunner for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which refers to the truth,"My Father worketh hitherto and I work.""Receive ye the Holy Ghost."(John20:22) Jesus appointed seventy other disciples.( Luke 10:1)

In the Book of the Revelation,"And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven."(11:13) The tenth part of the city refers to Decalogue.

Been reading Romans and just occurred to me that Saul who became Paul , was of the tribe of Benjamin and he persecuted the followers if Jesus .

A different Saul persecuted one of Jesus's ancestors . This Saul was also of the tribe of Benjamin .

I wonder if this is significant and if it is how is it ? Or is it just another coincidence ?
