    The Natural Man.

    Part 2.

In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul uses the word natural to refer to someone still in his original (sinful) state. The Greek word psuchikos ("natural") can be defined as "animal," as opposed to "spiritual." Natural men are those who are occupied with the things of this material world to the exclusion of the things of God. They are led by instinct rather than by the Spirit of God. They intuitively choose sin over righteousness. They are the "pagans" Jesus refers to in Matthew 6:32 who only seek after the things of this world.

The supernatural work of God is to change the natural man into a spiritual one. When a person trusts Christ, God exchanges what is natural (received from Adam) for what is spiritual (received from Christ). "As in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive" ( 1 Corinthians 15:22). The Christian life is, therefore, a supernatural one. We do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit ( Romans 8:1). Interesting find.

Back to 1 Corinthians 1:18. For the preaching of the cross is TO THEM THAT PERISH FOOLISHNESS; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

If you notice, them that perish doesn't have much to say about the preaching of the cross! Why? Because it's foolishness to them.

To us which are saved our Hope, Redemption, and Salvation is tied to it,

Here's how the natural Man/Tares voids out the productivity of the cross in their false teachings.

God Love is on display when I slew his only begotten Son in our place, So there must be a damnable consequence to those who don't accept "This sacrifice"

He'll would have to be a real place for those who don't receive Christ. or the Love of God on display would be in vain!!

They say there is no Hell and all will go to Heaven by fire!

They replace the productivity of the cross with the fire prescribed for Satan as the means by which we are saved!

    1 Corinthians 2:14.

    God bless.

Why does the Catholic says "one holy Catholic Church"?

This is very deceiving church. Catholic is so bothersome and blasphemous. Do they really think they can deceived?

Catholic use this verse as a deceiving verse for their church existence: Matthew 16:18, which the Catholic erroneously misinterpreted the usage to begin with.

The following verses clearly says Who is holy. Many church got to stop deceiving people since we are in the last days. When are they going to tell the truth?

Does anybody here had stood up and told the leader of the church to tell only the truth from God? The true believers knows the work of the devil.

Referring to John 46, a lovely person I know, who was born again and gave up all vises to serve Jesus, told me that the water Jesus turned to wine, was nonalcoholic, nonfermented. That Jesus never drank wine that contained alcohol..She said drunkeness was a sin. Believing that last statement, I also believe that the wine that Jesus created at the wedding was alcoholic and that it can be consumed without allowing yourself to become drunk. Yes I do have a glass of wine on occasion but do not get drunk. Is there any proof in the Bible that tells if this wine was with alcohol or not.? Thankyou.

I'm sorry, but I question even the smallest things I read in the Bible. Not because I don't believe. I certainly do believe have faith and trust and love for God and Jesus. Questioning helps me to understand things better. Everyone has their own beliefs and opinions and interpretations. I question to find the reasons for mine. Thank you Linda

What is the withered branch Jesus speaks of?

    Are you a withered branch?

Do you hear the servants coming who will decide who stays and who leaves? As the sound of the pruning shears are cutting even the thicker branches as you hear them do their work!

Will hope be enough to save you?

Only the vine knows. Only If you are in Him!

The vine senses the hope that is in you!

    He knows your life!

He knows if you shall live! He knows by now , if there is no life in you, and if you shall be cut away!

We cannot see ourselves in comparison to the others branches, yet if you are still alive, and you have this hope, you will not be cut away!

This hope will be enough to save you, as the pruning shears cut , oh so near, yet, we will abide only because of Him ! The true vine, Jesus the Christ!

After many years of study and contemplation upon the Lord and his great work, beginning in Genesis, I still have questions regarding the nature of ETERNITY and our role in it. Yes, the Lord shows man as he was created and how He redeems man back to Himself for His purposes, and those purposes include worship, fellowship and most of all, LOVE! Indeed, it is LOVE which will be all that remains of humanity after the judgement. It is LOVE that will be the tongue of fire that we each become. It is LOVE that will be integrated into the spiritual body of Christ.

But there is something still missing in His instruction to us.

Perhaps it is intended to be the ongoing mystery of our existence, but...

Why does God even want anything to do with mankind?

(It is obvious that mankind has been a rebellious child, even contentious with Him over the duration of man's existence.)

And once He has man back where he belongs (in the presence of God for ETERNITY (emphasis mine), what is man supposed to do? Sit around the campfire and sing kumbaya?

My point is that the lack of further disclosure into ETERNITY makes me both curious and suspicious that it may have something to do with the origins of God's creation of man. In an sense, God was "robbed" in Genesis.

He was robbed of the relationship that He looked forward to with man.

Now, maybe that is naive in that God is omniscient and knew ahead of time that man would fall and need restoration in order to even have a relationship with the Lord. But that awkward condition does not shed light upon the true nature of what that original intent was or how it could be characterized.

It is this original intention regarding the nature of man's relationship with his Creator that I believe will guide us into what we should expect in ETERNITY.

My brothers and sister in Christ, I look forward to your edification regarding this most perplexing subject.

Thank you all and God Bless YOU!

I donot believe that we should demonize folks that are spritually minded as some in this forum is doing...Are we gonna demonize the H.G. for making folks speak in tongues that very few can understand?...If we walk in the Spirit we cannot but help speaking tongues in the SPIRIT... Matthew 16 : 17...Even our lord told Peter that flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you but my father in heaven meaning in the spirit as God is spirit ...Flesh and blood is mans carnal mind like the Pharisees that knew the word literally but not the Spirit of the WORD.

.....1 st Cor. 2 : 15 Not mans wisdom but what the H.G. Teaches even the mystery of the Kingdon of God. As these things are hid from the wise and prudent...But revealed unto babes and sucklings...Them that are born of the spirit are spirit which is the H.G our new innerman....

.....What they are saying is akin to demonizing the H.G. and folks that are possesed with the H.G. that are over spirtualizing the bible in their minds...We do not walk after the flesh but after the spirit...But the spritual things of God are foolishness to them that walk in the flesh, The Carnal man....( some folks in this forum that cannot understand spritual things )..as the H.G. teaches us...So they demonize folks that do understand spiritul things...Its just as Jesus said them that are born of the flesh always persecutes them that are born of the spirit...It goes all the way back to Ishmael and Issac.

.....But what does the bible say cast out the bondwoman and her son...Which are them that persecutes them that are born of the spirit...( them that understand the mystery of the Kingdom of God ) which is Christ in you via the seed of Christ....The H.G.

....They are in essence saying the H.G. and folks possessed with the H.G. are of the devil...Who needs them we can understand the bible without the H.G. and folks that are speaking in the spirit.

.....They are in essence saying we can just go to a bible school and know everything...How stupid.

    Numbers 15:29

Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

    Leviticus 24:22

Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.

    Numbers 15:16

One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

    Ephesians 2:19-20

    19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

    20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Do these Scriptures make up airs to the kingdom of God along with the "Jewish" people?

Why then can't a Christian buy land in Jerusalem without converting?

I have read and heard of the 144,000 News so often. As a Minister, to me the misunderstanding is beyond me. The Bible says in Revelations chap.7 Out of each Tribe of Israel 12,000. The Jews today for the most part having been scattered to the 4 corners of the Earth as prophesied. They have no idea what Tribe of origin they are ,, but God knows. In Rev. 14,,, a sudden shift takes place, as they are seen with The Lamb, Christ. This is not symbolic, but literal. The Book of Revelations is a Book of Symbo!s and Prophesies. But the Best and Simplest way to understand it, is to take it as literal as possible.

Example: Revelations chap.9 Bottomless Pit is opened, 200 million locusts come out of the smoke of Hell. Torment of a scorpion, sting in their tail. Faces like Men,teeth like lions, winged creatures, etc,, And they had power to hurt Men for 5 months, and Men will go crazy and try to commit suicide, but God will not a!low it. I've heard Ministers say the sting represents a bomber plane and their faces mean Men will look and see theirself. Look,, let's get real if you open up Hell, whatever comes out of it is going to be terrifying. This is a literal description in chap.9 of what will be released.

So when we see the 144,000 with Christ suddenly. It represents a snatching, taking away, A Rapture. How else did they suddenly appear in Heaven. This is just one of 7 Raptures. Now,,, how many times have you heard a Preacher say ,only this small number made it out of all The Jews. But look at chap.14 v 4 It says, what,,? These are The Firstfruits, the beginning of a Season of Harvest. What do you often get with Firstfruits,, Here the Bible says the Best of the Best.

Now look at Hebrew chap.11 Paul, said of Israel you hardened your Hearts, conceited and full of Ego, Blind. Hmmmm,,, that doesn't sound like our Modern Church at all. Then Paul said but God will take away your sins, And All Of Israel Shall Be Saved. Part

Many prophets have gone out into the world today and has the Lord not spoken to them?! The office of the prophet was not just in the time of Moses but in today's times. If we didn't have prophets there wouldn't be a need to have gifts because they all rely upon one another. The difference here is having the fruits of the holy spirit and my question to you is does God not speak to his prophets before he does something?!

Some Christians manifest a different kind of flip-flop. It's a flip-flopping lifestyle. These are called flip-flopping saints.

Sadly, flip-flopping is the kind of action that negatively affects their walk with God. This kind of flip-flopping is a change of mind. It's a decision to reverse an earlier decision. Flip-flopping faith seems common among some who say they believe God one day but easily change their minds the next.

Apostle James wrote about flip-flopping Faith. He said, "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways" ( James 1:8). A double-minded man is someone that believes today but changes his mind tomorrow. This is the flip-flopping saint that can't be trusted. He is double-minded. He is not dependable, breaks rank, is lukewarm, and doesn't keep his word. The Holy Spirit says this person is unstable and double-minded. You should be careful around such a person.

Abraham refused to walk in flip-flopping faith. The Bible says, "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that what he had promised he was able also to perform" ( Romans 4:20-21).

Flip-floppers can never please God. Remember, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Don't let the seed of God's word fall on hard ground. Build your house on the rock. Scripture declares, "And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred" ( Mark 4:20). God rewards steadfastness.

Watch your walk. As already said, be careful around flip-flopping faith. Stagger not in unbelief but give glory to God. Think about this. "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" ( Numbers 23:19)

    How we study the Bible.

    Part 1 of ?

Biblical hermeneutics is the branch of knowledge that deals with interpretation. The word most often refers to how to interpret the Bible or other sacred texts from other religions.Literal Interpretation

This approach seeks out the "plain meaning" of a biblical text. This is not to imply that every passage of Scripture should be interpreted literally, but rather the plain meaning be accepted as truth. For instance, when Jesus said the Christians are the light of the world, we don't believe we are literally a 100-watt light bulb. We do believe that Jesus was telling us plainly that it is our role to showcase the love of God to everyone around us.

    1) Define the Terms.

look up the words in the original. When you are first attempting to understand the Bible, knowing the definitions of the words used by the authors is a great first step. But you should also know if you're reading historical narrative, poetry, or a parable. Each literary style comes with its own rules of interpretation, undoubtedly understood by the authors who penned them.

    2) Put scripture in its context! Knowing the context is key to being able to interpret anything, including the stories from the Bible. Understanding how Jesus' words would have been interpreted by his original audience is an important step to being able to properly apply the truth in our own lives.

    3) Look to Jesus.

Suggest that every story, poem, or verse only has significance as we consider the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

    4) And prayer.

Start with prayer, end with prayer, and make sure prayer permeates every step along the way in your interpretation of the Bible. Since God will be most concerned with our application of the Bible, it follows God would be most interested in ensuring we utilize biblical hermeneutics correctly.

    ...continued-pt. 3

God instructs Moses to tell the people to consecrate themselves "today and tomorrow" and to be ready on the third day to meet the Lord. I wonder if the apostles thought about this event when Jesus had died and was in the grave for and then arose on the third day where they met Him once again.

YHWH says that anyone but Moses who touches or approaches the mountain will meet death right away. God meant business here. He said that they will hear a long sound of the trumpet. (a heavenly one) and then should come before the mountain. When God came upon the mountain it was a cataclysmic event-thunderings and lightnings, thick clouds, loud trumpeting. This display of YHWH's power and might made the people tremble in fear. I think that God wanted this reaction from the people. Fear of the Lord comes before wisdom, I believe it says in Ps. 19:9. The people were still in camp when this happened. At the sound of the trumpeting, Moses brought the people before the mountain. The mountain was completely cloaked in smoke as God descended up it in fire. It was like a furnace that emitted plumes of fire and smoke. And the mountain quaked. This must have been like a volcanic eruption although it did not say anything about a lava flow.

Then Moses spoke to YHWH and YHWH answered him in a voice that all could hear. YHWH called Moses to come up to the top of the mountain. Moses obeyed. No sooner did Moses get up there and YHWH told Moses to go warn the people to not try to break through the boundary in order to gaze upon Him in His majesty, since they would perish if they did so. YHWH also told Moses to call the priests who would come near to the LORD to consecrate themselves. Moses protests to God, reminding YHWH that the people cannot come up because of YHWH's warning. Moses was concerned about his people's welfare here. YHWH says "Away! Get down and then come up". But it was only going to be Moses and Aaron, not the priests (there were priests before the Law?
  • GiGi - 2 years ago
Exodus Chapter 19 tells of the Israelites camping in the plain before Mt. Sinai and YHWH's descent upon the mountain in a very astounding and awesome way. Moses was familiar with this mountain, the Mount of God, as it was called. I wonder when it began to be called that? Perhaps this was a mountain that Jethro had encountered God as a priest of the Most High and perhaps Jethro had called it that in sharing his encounters with the "Most High".

YHWH tells Moses to instruct the people to cleanse themselves and wash their garments and prepare themselves to meet with God. God was going to meet with the whole nation of Israel in this encounter. The people were to assemble before the mount, but not try to climb up even its lowest slopes or touch the dirt of it. Perhaps there was some sort of barrier set up, such as a row of stones of rope fence so that the people would know the bounds that God is speaking of in this chapter.

This instruction to cleanse themselves and prepare for meeting with God reminds that we, too, should be careful how we approach God, even though we come to "Mt. Zion" rather that "Sinai". God is still and always will be Most Holy, pure, undefiled, owner of all the earth. I have witnessed instances in church services or youth rallies were the leaders are leading people into worship in a very casual, irreverent way. This always breaks my heart because I desire to approach God reverently to bring honor to Him and lift Him up, not me. Do I always do this? No, I fail at times, but then I realize that I have not acknowledged His holiness and majesty and repent.

Interesting that God asked the people to cleanse themselves and their garments and prepare for three days. I think, when was the last time I examined myself before God and asked for forgiveness for three days before coming to a time of corporate worship. This makes me think about what how God would like me to prepare my self better. O Lord, let me never be flippant in my approach to You!

    Regarding James 2:15-16

The question is: who is our brother or sister? For years I thought Christians were supposed to be giving to EVERYONE in need. Now I think that Christian-charity is for believer to believer. Not believer to infidel.

Acts 2: (after the Holy Spirit of God came down to earth)

    44 And ALL THAT BELIEVED were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

    2 Corinthians 6:

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Why should I give aid to Christ deniers???? (you-know-who-I mean)

I'm real tired of hearing that old line, "Fine Christian you are!" because I won't support the wicked: Baal worshippers, pedophiles, homosexuals, women who kill their babies, lying & cheating politicians, drug users/runners/manufacturers, illegal invaders..... to name a few.

What are the 1000 foreskins' given to Saul from David after this massacre? How demeaning, yet proactive. Without an clear answer, I would say that it would not be circumcisions', for if it were, the Philistines would have not perished!

In the Viet Nam conflict, this would become a common practice of castration. Castrating the enemy , even removing the ears, carrying them around ones neck as a trophy. The atrocities of war, searing the conscience.

Each generation shall learn and shall not pass until all things be fulfilled!

Jesus asked His disciples , "who do men say that I Am"?

The power in the confession of such men, will cause the world to turn upside down. That the prophecy once again as the sands that flow through an hour glass, will once again never ever end and shall prevail, as long as heaven and earth exist. The lunacy to think outside of the prophecy is walking in the darkness that soon will come to those who do not believe! They have killed the prophets, but remember He has reserved the best for last! Jesus shall return in the power of His might with all His Holy Angels!

If you do not believe the prophecy, then you are the enemy, neither can you belief the trinity found in the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Repent and be Baptized
