I've just realised something about my relationship with my oldest friend . She is very definately an atheist . We love each other very much . I've just realised that a big part of the reason she loves me and that we have stayed friends for so long , despite the fact that she is a commited atheist , is because of my Christianity , my Christianity that she definately does not want to know about . She loves me because she knows that she can trust me , she can tell me anything and I won't repeat it , I don't ever judge her and she knows she can ask anything of me and if I'm able to I will give it to her or do it for her without question or desire to be repayed in any way . And yet she doesn't want to know Christ . I think there's a word for that , is it a dicotamy ? Not sure how you spell it . Any way , what I'm trying to say is that my friend doesn't want to know Christ but doesn't realise that it is Christ who has made me such a good friend to her . It's a crazy world !
  • THE STORY OF TAMAR-for those who asked about her - 2 years ago
    2 Samuel 13

David loved God, loved his family and loved his country. He was vulnerable through his deep love for all.

Amnon had a dirty old uncle encourage him to pursue Tamar (Absalom's sister). The uncle tells him what to do. Tamar tried to reason with him that as half sister, David might give her as a wife. Amnon only wanted what he'd been whipped into a frenzy for. After the rape, he didn't want anything to do with her. Nobody told David about it. David did not know what was going on, in his own household but he found out. He was angry at Absalom.

Tamar went to live in Absalom's house; in seclusion. Absalom simmered in anger 2 years before he dealt with Amnon.

Tamar is shown in David's genealogy; which is unusual.

Absalom was married? It's recorded he had 3 sons that must have died at birth because they are not in the genealogy. He had 1 daughter and he named her Tamar too. She was a woman of fair countenance like her Aunt Tamar. I don't know how long she lived.

Absalom did many many evil things. He raped all of his fathers concubines in full sight of town; and more. 2 Samuel 15

Abdalom died hanging in a tree by his long beautiful dreadlocks. Joab is fetched and he stabs Absalom in the heart with 3 arrows; the troops with him smote and slew him afterwards.

To conclude: the better question is what happened to Absalom's 1 daughter, that he named Tamar. Females were not in genealogies as a rule.

I think David's daughter Tamar died of a broken messed up life. I think In honor of her suffering, Absalom named his daughter Tamar, also. There is no record of the end of her life.

Galatians 3:13 says, CURSED is any who dies by hanging on a tree. Absalom died on a tree. Judas died on a tree. Jesus died on a tree so that WE ALL MAY LIVE ETERNALLY.

David's psalms represent a lot of heartache over his life, his kids, his choices. He loved large.

    Luke 14

re: Scripture explicitly shows that all people shall hear of The Gospel. When a person stated a question: why must we go about spreading The Gospel if GOD had instilled it upon all?

Backing scripture with scripture: "GOD would, that none should perish." (found in Revelations I believe)

My question is to all Truth seekers and believers in JESUS CHRIST who post among many social media forums: How could a True Believer in JESUS ever state, ""I'm ready for HIS return now"?

It makes no sense to me that one following HIM could claim being True to HIM yet they are ready for so many to perish even now.

Let's not be anxious for HIS return as we have much work to do all to HIS Glory. We should use every moment among non-believers as to help them in, yes it is The LORD GOD compelling them to seek the wonderful gift of free Salvation through CHRIST JESUS! Hallelujah!

We do not control our thoughts most of the time. So how does that factor in?

I'm happy my thoughts are not the creators thoughts, because thoughts just get thrown into my mind, sometimes good, sometimes bad. I would hope the creator doesn't have bad thoughts about mankind, because we are the creators creation.

But, according to Genesis 3:22, we became like the creator in knowing good and evil. So, does the creator have evil thoughts as well, and how are those thoughts different from mankind?

    Q. When did Noah enter the Arc? 7 days before the flood or on the day the rain started.

7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

1.10And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

2.11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

3.And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

    4.13In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

    Ezekiel 38:7-23

"Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.

"'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people-all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land." Sheba (Ethiopia) and Dedan (Al-'Ula, Saudi Arabia) and the merchants of Tarshish (Lebanon) and all her villages will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?"'

"Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog (Russia): 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army.

You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.

    Jeremiah 50:41-46

"Behold! An army is coming from the north; a great nation and many kings are being stirred up from the ends of the earth. They are armed with bows and spears; they are cruel and without mercy. They sound like the roaring sea as they ride on their horses; they come like men in battle formation to attack you, Daughter Babylon.

The king of Babylon has heard reports about them, and his hands hang limp. Anguish has gripped him, pain like that of a woman in labor.

Like a lion coming up from Jordan's thickets to a rich pastureland, I will chase Babylon from its land in an instant. Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this? Who is like me and who can challenge me? And what shepherd can stand against me?"

Therefore, hear what the Lord has planned against Babylon, what he has purposed against the land of the Babylonians: The young of the flock will be dragged away; their pasture will be appalled at their fate.

At the sound of Babylon's capture the earth will tremble; its cry will resound among the nations."

Why didn't the Angels just take Lot and leave his wife and daughters behind? The husbands of the daughters chose to stay.

The wife "looked back" (symbolic of yearning for the old way of life) and was turned into a pillar of salt.

The daughters, who had just been pulled out of Sodom by the hands by Angels, didn't have enough faith to believe God would find them husbands, and seduced their father.

"Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness."

Jesus said, "....blessed are those who believe but have not seen."

How could people be so faithless when they've seen God or Jesus in action?????

The GLORIOUS and INFINITE GOD became a humble man, was born between animals, brought up in a poor family, started His ministry, was teaching during daytime, was praying at nights, often so exhausted He slept on boats during storms. He healed blind people, disabled people, raised up dead people, gave to everyone that went to Him anything they asked for. His teaching was Love. People rejected Him, outcasted Him, sweared at Him, mocked Him, humiliated Him, hurt Him, tortured Him, crucified Him. And still ignored all those and kept going all the way to the end. Why? Because in His mind there was a picture of me, of you, of every single human being that needed His hand of help.

SO IF HE LOVED US ALL THE WAY TO DEATH WE OUGHT TO LOVE EACH OTHER THE SAME WAY.

Do you know what the Gospel is about? Of course you do, but let me remind you of something:

1 Timothy 1:5 " Now the end of the commandment is charity (Gk love) out of pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfaigned

    God Bless You All.

I know this is probably cut & dry but in Matthew 8:12 it states (KJV) But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness..... Is that speaking of the earthly kingdom, aka Satan's kingdom? Matthew 25:30 states and cast ye the unprofitable servant out into outer darkness.... What is exactly the unprofitable servant & is it referring to Matthew 8:12 of the kingdom servant or Gods "servants"? Thank you

A little Bible trivia. Fill in the blank what you think it says and then look it up. 2 John 1:18 Look to ___________, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Then do a New Testament bible search on that word and absorb the teachings associated with it. It surprised me.
