Praise God, I am thankful for so much!

In this chapter of Exodus, Moses and Aaron are still talking with Pharaoh, seeking the release of the Israelites from bondage. Pharaoh is not deterred by the plagues, nor humbled (vs.3). He was determined not to surrender his self-assertiveness nor his maintenance of his sovereignty, not even to the true God. Isn't this the essence of sin?

In the opening of the chapter, God is stating the reasons for the hardening of Pharaoh's heart-that I may show these signs of Mine before him and that you may tell in the hearing of your sons and your son's sons the mighty things I have done in Egypt and My signs which I have done among them, that you may know that I am the LORD" (NIV) verses 1-2.

This makes me think of God's ways not being our ways. I know that He cannot sin or do evil. Yet so many people are being adversely affected by these plagues that God calls My signs. Here God is exercising His justice. There is not sin by God in this. I need to keep my mind clear in this so as not to accuse God of wrongdoing by causing suffering. Here God is not just allowing suffering, but is causing it. And it says that God hardened Pharaoh's heart. Pharoah chose to not submit to God, but it was as much God's doing as it was Pharaoh's ( Romans 9:14-24 speaks of God choosing to have mercy on whom He will have mercy and hardens whom He wills to harden, like Pharaoh.

In verse 4 God again, warns Pharaoh ahead of time of a coming plague, this time locusts. Even Pharaoh's servants entreated Pharaoh to let the Israelites go because Egypt was being destroyed. So, Pharaoh listened to these advisors and agreed to let SOME go, but not all. He still wanted rule over the Israelites and leaving some behind would ensure that the ones who go will come back. Pharaoh said that the MEN could go. Moses demanded that ALL would leave with him, including young, old, male, female, and all of their livestock.

Pharaoh warns Moses that evil lies ahead if they go.

What does the Bible teach about hypocrisy in church and everyone is aware of the wrong doing yet they are allowed to be members in good standing. No repentance no remorse. Is that biblically acceptable.

Does the ten commandments apply to all including gentiles? According to the ten commandments the 4th cmmandment sabbath day be observed. But nearly 99 percent of the churches observe the frist day of the week Sunday which is not in the scripture. One most respected Bible preacher/teacher the ten commadment only applied to the Jews until the cross Lord Jesus died on the cross. Yet John 14 Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. How do we reconcile which is which? As you know the 7th day adventist keep the the 4th commandment. But according to the highly respected preachers/teachers the Adventist doctrine is not correct. I have experienced this is one example most protestant church preachers in my opinion they do not seem to know the bible at all which described simillarly in the Hosea " my people are destroyed due to lack of knowledge". The preacher explains simply the prophecy is on schedule the Old Testament to the Cross, the church age, the tribulation/the rapture, and the millenium makes a great deal of sense unlike other the majority of preachers evangelical/protestants in my oipnion one cannot learn the bible correctly, that is, they do not seem to know the bible at all just circling around meaning Jesus said the blind cannot lead the blind because they do not see. More significantly the book of Hosea described my people are destroyed due to the lack of knoweledge.

I have a problem that I am certain has an easy answer. How long did Abraham spend in Egypt since Sarah gave Hagar 10 years after they came back to Canaan. Ishmael was born when Abraham was 86 minus one year of being with child and then 10 years in Canaan. Abraham left Haran when he was 75, thus 75 from (86-1-10=75) leaving no time for Abraham and Sarah to live in Egypt.

Reference Corinthians 11 how should we fit what is said here about women, which looks very much like the position expressed in the Koran, into todays world and equality of sexes?

Also, in my reading I find constant reference to the Law of Moses a law that is 4000 or 5000 years old and Jewish?

Does anyone else feel that Russia will be pivotal in the last days?

Ezekiel 38:3-4 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

Daniel 8:7 pops up, and God says "I will bring thee forth, and all thine army...." No more holding them back. This is happening right now, before us.

Putin at Yearly address March 1, 2018: "They have not succeeded in holding Russia back," said Putin, referring to the West, which he said had ignored Moscow in the past, but would now have to sit up and listen. "Now they need to take account of a new reality and understand that everything I have said today is not a bluff." [Hypersonic Arsenal]

    Brother Spencer,

I'm replying to you here in a new thread as the other thread was getting quite long.

We are in agreement that it is the Holy Spirit in us that makes it possible for us to live according to God's Commandments. This wonderful Spirit makes the impossible - possible! Amen.

You continue to state that what was spoken to the Israelites are not applicable to us/Gentiles. The scriptures disagree. Whatever Jesus/God spoke to the Israelites are also spoken to us Gentiles, and we are just as accountable to adhere to these commands today. Why? Because those of us in Christ are now Israelites and we were once Gentiles but the grafting process through Jesus Christ has changed us so that we have become Jews inwardly. Paul tells us below we are now of Abrahams seed.

    Galatians 3:29

"And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Paul reaffirms that the Gentiles are now Jews inwardly.

    Romans 2:29

"But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."

Per the bible scripture the children of Israel (which Gentiles are after adoption) shall keep God's Commandments including observing the Sabbath throughout their generation for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever.

Yes, we who are in Christ, are now Jews inwardly, and will want to keep all of God's Commandments, and again, we do so via God's Holy Spirit, not of our own accord. Amen.

    God Bless You!

How can a cow give milk? How does a chicken lay eggs? How can a seed die only to produce more seeds? How does the fish breath under water? How do the seasons change ? How can a tree stop, and go dormant?

    How can man not believe?

If what we see are what He is, imagine what we do not know! The fool has said in His heart their is no God!

An evil generation seeks signs! and no sign shall be given.

The signs are already here, it is the question ,the doubt, that is the evil. Are you resting in the promises of the Father!

The creation, our mortality will be swallowed up by what you see!

    Where will you be?

Will you be standing before the Son, clothed in His robe, or cast away never to be part of eternal life?

Even so while we are in this flesh, He reveals Himself unto those who love Him!

    "Jacquella on Exodus 22:18

Who are the real archangels in the King James Holy Bible versions and where can i find them no offense i dont want angels that are catholic i know Michael and Gabriel is two but what are some more archangel who are wit God i dont want no false archangels i will ask my pastor and i will look up the angels you send me in the bible thanks and God Bless"

REEEEAAALLLLLLLY? You don't want "angels that are catholic"? This statement you complete and total ignorance of basic theology. So I will make this EASY for you.

Angels, which I personally do not believe exist, would have been created by El Elyon, the first god of the old testament and was THE god of the time before Moses. Moses' god is named 'Yahweh' or 'Yahaweh' depending on your preference.

Now, follow this simple concept. El Elyon would have created his angels BEFORE he created mankind, which is the accepted belief among everyone. ALL the religions of the world were created by MANKIND. God wouldn't have not needed a religion to teach himself, ABOUT himself. In the period when god would have created angels, no religions existed, there was only god. So why would god assign a religion to them? Angels would have first hand knowledge of god, right?

In conclusion it's like you hoped your car is a Cadillac is a time (--THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO--) when cars couldn't have possibly existed.

Besides, everyone knows all angels are jewish!

    "Adam.

I believe the only thing you got right in that post was your first sentence when you said

"I'm not totally clear on this,"

I didn't create the narrative. here's the narrative.

Since God's holy Sabbath day is on a Saturday and we are to honor God's Sabbath day which is the fourth commandment is it wrong for us to be going to church on Sunday shouldn't we be going to church on Saturday.

I used James 2:10. to say you can't just focus on the sabbath day and leave the other 9 commandments out.

And perfectly means ALL of them, all the time!! Are you saying that's wrong? if so you are saying it's ok not to obey the 10 commandments.

And I said the law was given to Israel. Is that wrong? Romans 9:4.

    And I gave Colossians 2:14-16.

And you may have read "We rest in the finished work of Christ on the cross"

It doesn't mean we don't have to keep the 10 Commandments!

It means we are no longer condemned by the 10 Commandments. This is the complete work of God.

The 10 commandments is called the ministration of Death.

    2 Corinthians 3:6-9.

When someone says we obey God by and through the Spirit isn't that obeying God?

The Spirit commands the heart not the flesh. You have to ALREADY be born again to obey it.

The law commanded the flesh and the flesh is weak! read Romans 7.

This is what James is talking about in James 2:14. Your faith is to be confirmed by good works!

It has nothing to do with the sabbath day.

    Again my reason for using

James 2:10. is to say why if you're going to be under the law you have to be perfect.

Furthermore I have no idea how teaching this teaches people to sin when the scripture says

Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Romans 3:27-28.

I don't see why you and Gigi have a problem with that.

    I will post more later.

    God bless."

Granted that the LOVE of money is the root of ALMOST all evil, what of sins of lust? Rape is a sin of control, and lust, and of the flesh and most usually has nothing to do with money.

Were the sons of god mentioned in the old testament the ones who went in unto the daughters of men and bred the giants (Nephelim)?. Now I know that angels cannot breed, so that rules them out. The men who first began to call upon the name of the lord were called the sons of god. So could you clarify for me?
