    If Joash died in verse 13 and Elisha died in verse 14, how is Elisha talking to Joash in Verse 14 ? Can someone explain this?

    13 And Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat upon his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.

    14 Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.

    15 And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.

    The bible states that drunkenness is sin, but it does not really say that a glass of white wine occasionally is sin.; so my question is why do so many pastor want to preach that it is sin.

    Just a few scriptures here about drinking wine. 1 Timothy 5:23; Ephesians 5:18, and Ecclesiastes 9:7; I am saved, but months into the pandemic I started drinking a glass of wine;

    I used to not even go in a restaurant that served alcohol, but since the pandemic I have had white wine to drink.

    Please clarify this for me.

    Thank you

    Let paul tell us.

    keeping mathews 7:13-23. in mind.

    philippians 3:1-11. finally, my brethren, rejoice in the lord. to write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

    beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

    for we are the circumcision, which worship god in the spirit, and rejoice in christ jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

    "what does it mean to rejoice in christ jesus?

    though i might also have confidence in the flesh. if any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, i more:

    circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of israel, of the tribe of benjamin, an hebrew of the hebrews; as touching the law, a pharisee;

    concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

    but what things were gain to me, those i counted loss for christ.

    yea doubtless, and i count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of christ jesus my lord: for whom

    i have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that i may win christ,

    and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith ( of) christ, the righteousness which is of god by faith:

    that i may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

    if by any means i might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

    philippians 3:12-16.

    philippians 3:17-18. brethren, be followers together of me, and

    mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

    (for many walk, of whom i have told you often, and now tell you even weeping,

    that they are the enemies of the cross of christ:

    are these scriptures along with the others i've posted relevant today and everyday all day?

    how about everywhere you go?

    are they given by inspiration of god, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness?

    1 Corinthians 2:14.

    Hello fellow Brothers and Sisters.

    Some Doctrines we encounter may be strange to our ears and we rebuke and try to reason with scripture for reproof and for correction.

    But after a while do we become a supporter of their folly by helping to provide them a platform?

    Some have been warring against the truth for I know atleast a year now, "And there has been no change in their Doctrine.

    So we say we do it to protect the new comers against these heresies. or perhaps the babes in Christ.

    To a degree we may but in a sense we're trying to stop what we provided, and that's a platform.

    Here's a few things to consider.

    2 John 1:10-11.

    2 Timothy 4:3-4.

    In the ears of the natural man these far out false Doctrines appeals to them.

    When do we come to the point to when we're casting our pearl before swine?

    I understand to some this is "just" a KJV Discussion forum. However we do use it to try and win some over to Christ, If that's so then all Scripture is practical and not set aside till Sunday. We are to apply it and all of it, and all the time.

    God bless.

    What does the Bible say about going to graveyard to visit your loved one
  • PAST and MODERN DAY PESTILENCE or PLAGUES - 3 years ago
    Pestilence means a deadly and overwhelming disease that affects an entire community. The Black Plague, a disease that killed over thirty percent of Europe's population, was certainly a pestilence. Pestilence is also one of the four Horseman of the Apocalypse in the book of Revelation.

    The definition of a pestilence is any infectious, fatal disease that is widespread or an evil influence or deliverer. An example of a pestilence is the bubonic plague. An example of a pestilence is a swarm of mosquitoes carrying disease.

    As proper nouns the difference between famine and pestilence:

    is that famine is the personification of famine, often depicted riding a BLACK horse while pestilence is the personification of pestilence, often depicted riding a WHITE horse.

    The four horsemen of the apocalypse are four biblical figures who appear in the Book of Revelation. They are revealed by the unsealing of the first four of the seven seals. famine, and death; conquest, and war.

    The H1N1 influenza A pandemic of 1918-1920 (Spanish flu) remains the deadliest pandemic of the modern age, with estimates of mortality ranging from 17 million to 100 million from an estimated 500 million infections globally (approx. a third of the earth.

    Bubonic plague may seem like a part of the past, but it still exists today in the world and in rural areas of the USA. The best way to prevent getting plague is to avoid the fleas on rodents: rats, mice, squirrels, pets.

    [Smallpox, Influenza, Rabies, Tuberculosis, Leprosy, Bubonic & Pnemonic (flu) diseases; Malaria, HIV aids. These pestilences are still active in the world today.] Covid the most recent.

    Children & adults are still vaccinated for all these diseases at some time in their life, like enrolling in school. Read history before you condemn present day people being vaccinated. The government requires vacs for all, in the public interest of keeping these old pestilences from killing everyone on earth.

    Try not to panic.

    Is Jesus God? Do we no longer need to regard the Father God? The Holy Spirit? Everything is Jesus?

    Deut 6:4 Hear oh Israel, the Lord our God is one.

    What did Moses mean when he said that? Did he mean that the Israelites were to worship the one true God only? The Hebrew word for one means in unity with itself? So God wears many hats so to speak? Why would Jesus himself say (in Matthew before ascending to God the Father ) to go and baptize them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Ghost? But Peter say baptize in Jesus name?

    Help me please if you can.I just want Bible TRUTH.

    Dear friends in the Lord

    Romans 9:12It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

    13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

    14What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

    15For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

    16So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

    17For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

    18Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

    19Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

    20Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

    21Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

    22What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

    23And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

    24Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

    25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

    26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

    27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

    28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

    With love in Christ

    2 Peter 3

    3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

    4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

    2 Timothy 3

    1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

    2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

    3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    Romans Chapter 1

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

    29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

    30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

    31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

    Philippians 3:2

    Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. (Comment: dogs sniff things they ought not to)

    1 Timothy 6

    3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to THE DOCTRINE which is according to godliness;

    4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about QUESTIONS and STRIFES of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

    This is what every country is experiencing. The Bible says that it will 'wax worse and worse.' Your faith needs to be strong in what the New Testament teaches on these Last Days before Jesus's Return.

    The unsaved will be in these comment rooms preaching their HERESIES. They are reprobate. Don't listen to their rants.

    I believe in Jesus Christ our Savior I was saved 4 years ago. I have Christian's friends that took the vaccine, I myself, the day I heard about the vaccine was coming, I decided to read more about it, participated a Summit conference (7 days) and I knew this was very wrong, because the vaccine would changed our DNA for life. As a believer in Jesus Christ, he created us as His image and our DNA is precious because it is what God gave us to protect us from disease. We have been created to His image, but we were born in the flesh as sinners and once you a reborn again, then God seals you as His child and we are known as not sinners anymore but saints. There has been so many contreversy about 'the mark' of the beast and I always believe the vaccine was the 'mark of the beast' and lately in many countries and in Canada we are seeing places where they do not allow people to buy or sell because they refused to take the vaccine. I myself, I am very sadden because I do have christian friends that took the vaccine and some of them have died. My question is this? Why does people believe that you have to take the chip in your hand to be the mark of the beast' as opposed the vaccine? I believe many of my christian friends have been decieved, but on the other hand it seems many christians believes the mark of the beast will happen once we know who the Antichrist is and we as christians we will not see this happening as we will be rapture before this. This is my question

    The Genesis flood narrative tells how Noah and his three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, together with their wives, were saved from the Deluge to repopulate the Earth. ... In chapter 11 verses 10-26 a second list of descendants of Shem names Abraham and thus the Israelites.

    In the Book of Jubilees (160-150 BC) the names of the wives of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth are as follows:

    * Wife of Noah - Emzara.

    * Wife of Shem - Sedeqetelebab.

    * Wife of Ham - Na'eltama'uk.

    * Wife of Japheth - 'Adataneses.

    In the Biblical view, the listed children of Japheth, Shem and Ham correspond to various historic nations and peoples. In the typical interpretation, these sons of Noah correspond to three races: European, Semitic, and African. Alternate divisions claim Euro-Asian Japhet, Semitic Shem, and Afro-Asian Ham.

    The Genesis Rabba midrash lists Naamah, the daughter of Lamech and sister of Tubal-Cain, as the wife of Noah, as does the 11th-century Jewish commentator Rashi in his commentary on Genesis 4:22.

    In the medieval midrash Parry, J. H. (ed.). "5:15". Book of Jasher. Translated by Moses, Samuel., the name of Noah's wife is said to be Naamah, daughter of Enoch.

    Since the 17th century a number of suggestions have been made that relate the name Ham to a Hebrew word for "burnt", "black" or "hot", to the Egyptian word m for "servant" or the word m for "majesty" or the Egyptian word kmt for "Egypt".[4] A 2004 review of David Goldenberg's The Curse of Ham: Race and Slavery in Early Judaism, Christianity and Islam (2003) states that Goldenberg "argues persuasively that the biblical name Ham bears no relationship at all to the notion of blackness and as of now is of UNKNOWN (color) etymology.
