Skewed logic: I have had this conversation with more than one woman who was pregnant and didn't want to be , why don't you have the baby and give it up for adoption ? Answer : oh I couldn't do that ! I'd never stop thinking about it , worrying if it's ok , if it's happy , if it's going to knock on my door in eighteen years time etc , no , I'd rather have an abortion then it's just gone and I never have to think of it again . That's what I call skewed logic , it's the same kind of logic that is offended by the thought that sinners are just dead and would much rather they were tortured in hell for eternity . We are all sinners . Some of us know the Truth , some of us don't want to know the Truth and very many of us have never had the chance to .

Can anyone recommend an enlightening discussion on baptism? Why does the Bible say to be baptized in the name of Jesus,

and then In Matthew 28 Jesus Himself says to be baptized in the name of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Does one trump the other? Or shall I be baptized in both?

Baptism was right to me from the beginning of my life and I doubt I can ever see that from a different point of view.

    Matthew 28:19

And and all input welcome but no please if you could answer my specific question that would be super helpful.

I am totally new to this site...praise God I was led here.

    I would like more insight into Ephesians 1v14;

"give complete freedom to those that are his"

what freedom is spoken of here?

is it freedom now in this living world?

is there freedom in life after death?

I understand that the reason we die is that we sinned. My question is then why do animals die when they do not sin?

I once lost my faith in god due to prolonged illness that resulted on me losing a good job and having to sale my home. Before I got well again my wife ( now exwife) bore me my first born. My son is a blessing, that I can better appreciate due to the storm.

What does the bible say about regaining faith?

Jarsper and sardin stone are dark brown like that of the brass. The appearance of the creator here is undoutbtedly negroid and John describes it perfty. Jasper and sardin stones are the only mineral stones dark brown in appearance which looks very beautiful and fit well according to the appearance of the Creator.

Where did this comment come from. It popped up linking your site using Amazon fire tablet. First no man has seen the Father. Second jaspers come in a variety of colors. Look up Fancy Jaspers. " undoubtedly negroid"? Did you ever think that John was seeing His radiant glory that of a sunrise or sunset. This entry looks suspicious.

All of the discussion turned away from the subject: I am a wretch ! Paul said he was (still?) chief of all sinners. I know that God SAVED a wretch like me, but I'm still a wretch..."Oh wretched man that I am."

God isn't finished with me. Why HE tolerates me I don"t know, but HE does. And I'm on my way... jes goin home!

God is so wonderful; he has healed by body so many times. The doctors are amazed. I have learned that faith can carry through any situation of life. Also, why do young or new believers

have such challenges in their Christian walk? Should they be told that they are Not perfect yet

and if they era or make a mistake in their development that God is not going to discard them

and what scriptures back this up?? Also do all new believers speak with new tongues?? Do

you feel emotions when you speak in tongues like in the book of Acts???

I'm interested in purchasing a specific KJV study bible. I am unable to find it in America (out of stock everywhere), but I have found it in the UK. Does anyone know if there are, or could be, spelling differences between the different versions? Ex. "colour" vs "color"...or perhaps I'm misunderstanding how KJV is printed and it's always printed the same regardless of American vs UK. Thanks for the insight!

Blessed be the name of the LORD,

Nash, I am from the Middle East, I am a Christian by birth and know exactly what you are going through. However, keep your ways and steps following and trusting in JESUS, focus on HIS Grace and love. You are so lucky to see JESUS in your dreams and visions. I did see HIM too and I test to that. It was awesome and life changing even though I am a believer in CHRIST since birth.

HE loves you so much, but you have to be the preacher of the WORD, because JESUS is the WORD. HE chose you between millions and millions on this planet, HE knows that you are strong and responsible to carry HIS cross.

If JESUS told you not to say yet, don't say it. However, you can test to everyone that you saw HIM whether they like it or not. Follow and obey JESUS only, HE is the Life, the Truth and the Way.

    You are blessed forever.

Would like to know that if you were put on pain pills by a doctor and you have been on them so long you cannot quit and you are a really strong believer will that stop you from going to heaven? I saw where God said that if you ask for forgiveness and keep on doing the same thing every day that God will not keep on forgiving you and that is the only really bad sin you do? Thanks I have a good friend that is really worried about this!

Good morning, There is health in being an ambassador of faithfulness. Proverbs 13:17

But what does this ambassador represent and and of whom does he speak?

The King of Peace reigns in health. It is a true message for every ambassador.

    God Bless our faithfulness.

Hello may god bless you for the work you are doing I am a Christian been so for the last 5 years, my query is when the rapture takes place as is according to 1 thess 4:17 those who are on earth that belong to Christ will caught up with him in the air, does that mean that those who are alive in Christ will not die and go to grave? will our bodies then be changed and we receive our new bodies immediately? If this will be the process what a day that will be.

hope to hear from you soon, God bless you

    Brother Dan.

    My view on John 3:5.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. "Born of water" This has nothing to do with baptism by water. If this baptism have anything to do with this section of scripture it would be in verse 6 where Jesus says "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirt. Romans 6:4. The water mentioned here I believe is the word of God!

John 17:17. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. " The cleansing sanctifying power of the word!"

John 15:3. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Hebrews 4:12. The word is alive!! A person must be born again by the use of the scripture and its the Holyspirit taking the scripture and using it. I've heard it put like this, You have Spirit of God using the word of God through the man of God.

Verse 11: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We "SPEAK" that we do know, and "TESTIFY" that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

It takes the spirit of God to be obedient to the word of God. It takes the spirit of God to receive the word of God. And it take the word of God to receive the spirit of God through baptism of the Holyspirit.

I haven't heard one person on this site said they wasn't baptized, So why quarrel about obedience in that regard? But many of us say it wasn't to add to what Christ done on the cross. Is that disobedience? If you believe keeping some ritual or commandments is your way to salvation, What does the cross mean to you? Christ wasn't sacrificed "JUST IN CASE YOU FALL SHORT" He was sacrificed because you couldn't. He paid the penalty BECAUSE YOU ARE ALL READY GUILTY.

    God bless.

Isaac was 140 years old. Esau and Jacob bury Isaac in the same cave as Sarah and Abraham. Surprisingly, Shem was still alive at this time. Did he attend the funeral? Perhaps. We don't know at this time if Rebekah is still alive. She was probably 25 years younger than Isaac, but the text does not say anything about her.

...or perhaps these garments were worn when they worshipped their foreign idols and were defiled along with the bodies and hearts of the people. This is interesting to ponder. I ask myself, when was the last time I really "cleaned house", referring to my person, God's temple? Am I holding onto, storing, or treasuring anything that is impure before God, anything idolatrous, anything too dear to me than it ought to be. In my heart, do I make "back up plans" in case God does not come through for me in my need?

Jacob continues to speak, recounting how God had met him there at Bethel and answered him in his time of distress. That God had been with him in all his sojourning. Jacob probably needed to recount this to himself just as much as to those in his household. So the people surrendered their idols and earrings (may have been part of pagan identity) to Jacob and buried them (as into the grave our sins went with Jesus and did not rise with Him) in Shechem. Do not know the significance of the terebinth tree. It was a turpentine tree that people tapped the resin from and/or a pistachio tree.

Shechem was a turning point for this family. They were going to go God's way away from the "safety" of Shechem and into a walk of trust God and the leading by God. As they journeyed, God made the people in the area fearful of what He might do if they attempted to harm Jacob's group. Arriving at Luz (Bethel) in the land of Canaan, Jacob first built an altar there, renaming it Beth El (house of God). Deborah, is mother's nurse, dies here, and again, Jacob buries her under a terebinth tree. Jacob called named the site of the grave, Allon Bacuth (the tree of weeping). Jacob had known Deborah all of his life.

God appears to Jacob again. Here God reiterates that Jacob is no longer his name, rather Israel (He who contended with God). God tells Jacob the same promise He gave to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
