  • Daniel faltas on James 2 - 3 years ago
    why did James say this
  • Hope on Deuteronomy 22 - 3 years ago
In the verse five it states perfectly that women are not to wear parents. It also says who does so would be the abomination, the person would be not the pants. I would not want to be the abomination to God. But, I have worked outside in the garden, moving wood piles and etc. in a skirt and I have done so for almost ten years. I still do not have a problem with it. God has always made a way to get around obstacles, but it takes faith on our end to believe He will go through with it. God made a way for me to wear a skirt and moved obstacles, but I also had to have the faith to believe He would move the obstacles. When serving God there will be things we have to sacrifice. Sometimes the sacrifice seems to big. But I have a question I would like for you to question yourself with. Is giving up pants more sacrificial than Jesus Christ laying down His life for you to be saved for all of eternity? Is it more important to you than your walk with God?

What is the parable of the unjust steward about? I have one example that may seem personal, but , an example? Jesus has told us that the world would hate those who are not of the world and who follow Him. On the heels of this he tells us to love our enemies! A true disciple who lives this life in Christ , would soon understand the words He speaks are true. That we would experience this unequivocal message.

As stewards of the kingdom, as representatives, saints as it were, we might find ourselves in certain situations in this life that would require us making friends of the mammon? While we are doing His will, sometimes we may need to adjust into the things of this world. Sort of a check and balance? Being a faithful servant will require us to forgive, so that we might be forgiven. Knowing how to forgive gracefully ,, so that we too will still have a place in this world. Doing His will accordingly and still abide in His grace, in His love! I have written this too you all , for your input. In Christ FES

  • Take no thought... - 3 years ago
As a farewell , the congregation that Sacha and I belong to , does not baptize children , practises full immersion , does not baptize anyone who hasn't read and understood at least the basic principles of salvation , we also ask candidates random Bible questions that they wouldn't be able to answer if they hadn't read it e.g. who is Samuels mother ? All members male and female study the Bible daily and are expected to grow in understanding . Our Sisters are at least as knowledgeable as our Brothers . We have ladies who have been teaching the Truth , through correspondence courses for forty years . They have brought literally thousands of men and women to the point of baptism . Christ died for all of us , none of us are under the law , there is only one Holy Spirit , not a version for men and a different one for women . Our Sisters cover their heads and are silent during services but they have a voice . They also respect their husbands as head of the house and the brethren in the congregation but they have a voice . We have single Sisters who are the only ones in their family who are saved . They respect the Brethren but are at liberty to do as they please when not in Church . We are all guided by God's words and by Christ's and to a lesser but not insignificant degree , by the apostles writings . I shouldn't have to quote scripture here , so I won't . May God bless you all and may He bring you all very much closer to Him . Hope to see you in the New Jerusalem .
  • Bill on 1 Thessalonians 4:17 - 3 years ago
There is far too much concern for "sugar-coating" death and the residence of the soul upon death and prior to the resurrection.

I have not found a single bible verse that clearly states where a Christian soul resides prior to the return of Christ to gather His church to Him in the air.

The phrase "They are smiling down on you from heaven" has no biblical verses as its proof.

Too much interpretation of the bible by some poor and simple-minded humans, when compared to the mind of God, make verses MEAN WHAT THEY WANT, NOT WHAT THE VERSE IS ACTUALLY SAYING. Examples:

    1. Revelation 1:10 is said to refer to Sunday, and thus John was worshiping on Sunday and that made it OK for all Christians to observe Sunday in place of the Sabbath and ordained Sunday as the appointed day of worship for all Christians. Incorrect interpretation to fill a need for justifying Sunday worship.

Why do I say this? First, there is no verse to back up the day being Sunday; every day is "The Lord's Day". Second, neither God nor Christ designated ANY Day as the day of worship. Third, the Sabbath Day is a day of REST, not worship in a communal setting. Fourth, Revelation is a visionary experience, not a worship service.

    2. Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ always on a Sunday (thank the Roman Church for this by the way). This too is the result of humans doctoring the scriptures. The Gospels key the crucifixion to the Jewish Passover which moves across the Jewish calendar and not a set day each year.

    3. The Easter sunrise worship service is not based on scripture. The Gospels clearly state Christ had risen before sunrise on what we call Sunday as the ladies never saw the resurrection, just the empty tomb and then later Christ.

Final point, if the Christian soul is immediately taken to heaven and returns with Christ for the church gathering, there will be no appearance of any Christian before the White Throne as they are previously admitted to eternity in heaven.

Is oral sex a sin even between a married couple? I believe it is because scripture says sodomites won't enter into Heaven. Some dictionaries says that a sodomite is a person who does anal sex and oral sex. Some dictionaries just say anal sex. Also I would think that it IS because that's the type of sex that they had in Sodom and Gomorrah. That's the type of sex homosexuals do male and female does in homosexual lesbian acts. I believe in Songs of Solomon they said that the Bible scholars that interpreted the Bible said oral sex was done between a married man and woman. I read the scriptures. Some Pastors say that that scripture is talking about anal sex between two men or homosexuality. They say oral sex is NOT a sin if you're a married male and female. They say NO if both parties (married man and woman)agree on the oral sex then it's alright. I know fornication and homosexuality and lesbian is a sin. What do you have to say about the oral sex thing. I'm looking for a Bible serious answer because I know about if you're married not to withhold sex from your wife or husband.

I'm just going to go and say it... Why does Noah get naked? I'm quite confused, and don't really see any symbolism in it.

I would love some responses as I'm currently trying to learn more about christianity as I've recently felt more and more drawn toward god.
  • Rickey Young on Isaiah 64 - 3 years ago

what are the seven spirits of God according to Rev. 10 verse 7 ?
  • Take no thought... - 3 years ago
Is the promise of the Comforter , the Holy Spirit of God , given only to men ? Are sisters to be comfortless ? Do women receive the Holy Spirit in the same way men do ? Brothers , research the answer to this question in order to satisfy your own consciences . If women do receive the Holy Spirit in the same way that men do , then you have just insulted and driven away a person , who happens to be a woman , from this site . I'm sure you and your pridefull and fearfull egos are very happy about that . You can rest assured that English Sacha will not be back . Your egos are comforted by that I'm sure . All except the golden heart of Mishael should be ashamed . How do I know all this ? Sacha is my wife and she hadn't even begun to share her knowledge and understanding with you . You will never know what you have missed . Goodbye Brethren .

why would the three wise men not return to king herod
  • David on Genesis 9 - 3 years ago
There is a lot of missing words here, it says, he told his two brothers without. And goes on to the next verse, without What? It supposed to say "without covering his nakedness, also the bible scholars don't want to talk about it, but the curse before it was taken out to be politically correct, but it should say that canaan was cursed with a darker hue, meaning that he was the start of the black race, you can argue until the cows come home, but if that curse of a darker hue didn't mean black, then where did they come from, there is no other time in the bible that can account for the black race, it's not saying anything offensive to the black race, we are all sinners, and fall and fall short of the glory of GOD, when you start taking out the word of GOD, because you don't want to talk about slavery, well then you are doing the Devil's Work, and leading people astray on to the road of destruction, I can't in good faith ask for any mercy on their soul.

The word of God says "it is required for all men once to die." Those that will be taken up into the heavens in the last days...How will they die?
  • Michael Rodgers - 3 years ago
We are not given a description of the tree and it is most certainly not any tree that exists today. It is traditionally depicted as an apple tree.

It was a Fig tree. It was the closest to Adam and Eve. Genesis 3:7. And the eyes of them both were opened, thy sewed fig leaves together, and made them selves.
