how do you know you are serving Jesus or Satan, in the scripture in the bible
  • Take no thought - 3 years ago
It is extremely important that we don't misuse or alter the Word of God . Genesis Ch2 V16&17 . In the KJV RV thou shalt surely die is translated as : dying thou shalt die , this is worthy of investigation but it's not where I'm going right now . Then we go to Ch3 V3 ,Eve's response : neither shall ye touch it , lest ye die . Why did Eve believe this to be so ? Adam must have said this to her , he added to God's word , when Eve touched the fruit and didn't die that must have made her doubt what Adam had said to her , God didn't tell Eve not to eat the fruit or touch it ,Adam did and he added to God's Word ,therefore giving the serpent a foot in the door to beguile Eve , when we misuse the Word of God we can give occasion to the serpent , to beguile others and maybe even ourselves . What would the world be like now if Adam hadn't said to Eve : neither shall ye touch it , lest ye die ? It's an earth changing moment . Later on in V12 of Ch3 ,Adam has the affrontary to try and blame God for creating Eve ! Eve in V13 gives a straight forward and honest account of what happened and her confession is an honest one .

Can a person who believes in God, believes in Jesus, believes the bible is true, and goes to church still be considered an atheist? I would love to hear some of your thoughts about who an atheist is before I share my thoughts on the word atheist.

How many pairs of clean animals did God tell Noah to take into the Ark?

    hello,

please help me reconcile this contradicition??? i love the KJV, here it is:

According to 2 Kings 8:26, Ahaziah was 22 years old when he began to reign, and reigned for one year in Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 22:2 gives his age as 42 years when his reign began in Jerusalem.

    which is it?
  • Philip Christian Parks on 1 Thessalonians 3:12 - 3 years ago
Regarding "unblameable" in First Thessalonians 3:13 = This adjective means morally faultless. The truest application of this adjective means GOD justifies the repenting sinner (e.g. Rom. 3:24; 5:1; etc.) when the sinner trusts in, and believes on, JESUS CHRIST as his LORD and SAVIOR. The adjective "unblameable" means GOD no longer holds the redeemed guilty of their past sins.

This characteristic does not mean without accusations from the world, for the world is quick to accuse GOD's saints to harm or destroy their reputation (e.g. Mt. 12:10; Ac. 24:2; 1Pet. 3:16).

Satan is the father of these accusations, for "there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it" ( Jn. 8:44). Satan is the ever-present "accuser of our brethren which accused them before our GOD day and night" ( Rev. 12:10).

The adjective "unblameable" means although accused, those whom CHRIST reconciles are guiltless of all false and unprovable accusations as Paul proclaimed in another epistle ( Rom. 8:33): "Who shall lay any thing to the charge of GOD's elect? It is GOD that justifieth."

Are we willing to step out in faith for Christ?
  • Fred Scanlan - 3 years ago
Jesus said we should count the cost of discipleship. He warns us to make sure you have enough to finish. This He follows up with the joy in heaven, when a lost soul has been found! Not completely understanding Him ,once again wondering what he means! I find myself wondering, why hating this life in hope for the one He has prepared for us makes any sense at all! Why is salvation necessary in this world, for a new world without sin too come? This new heaven and earth He speaks of, is it here ? Or is it somewhere else? Faith in His word, is the cement needed to finish! Without it you will not finish! Many will be lost because of it, straying even farther from His word! I confess, that my flesh does war against my spirit, constantly provoking me to unfaithfulness! I will wait on the Lord!!!!

Could anyone help me locate any scriptures in the KJV Bible that reference apologizing publicly to the congregation at church for being arrested ??

My brother who is the Bass guitar player in church, was pulled over and arrested.

He was accused of DUI but he wasn't drunk. Anyway he is waiting for a court date to prove he is being falsely accused, no tests were done, only a New Young Trooper basing it strictly on his opinion . My brother's name was automatically put in the local newspaper and someone brought it to the preachers attention.

My brother was told by the preacher and a board member of the church that he could no longer play the guitar in church until he apologizes to the church and asks for their forgiveness.

The Preacher says it says in the Bible that he must do this.

Can anyone help me find it and educate myself about such!!

My brother had drank three beers over a 4 1/2 hr time period. The Preacher also said it is a sin to drink a beer.

I just want to know. I've never read about this and I've been going to church all my life.

Thanks for the help if you can enlighten me!!!

The Bible says that we as christians should gather ourselves with the saints! So my question is, is it mandatory that we go into the church( the building) to worship God? Because I was always taught that our bodies is the church!! And the sanctuary is just a building!

Hello everyone, I'm having a hard time coping with what I'm seeing in the world. I'm seeing increasing oppression, especially by a political party that believes in authoritarianism and mass murder of babies and rewarding criminals while having no compassion for victims, even punishing and imprisoning them. It's really hard to comprehend and hard to deal with emotionally with such grave injustices. We are seeing the media deceiving people into believing lies instead of the truth and many people are dying unnecessarily from experimental injections. Risking death in order to avoid risking death. Unsensible things are happening that is hard to comprehend other than believing the world is under a firm grip of satan and people almost want to believe the lies and deny the truth. I've never seen anything like this in my lifetime and the voices of reason seem like only a whisper compared to the loud voices of evil. Does anyone know how a Christian should cope with this? It's at the point where if there's not any resistance to this I see a one world government taking over and mass murdering people- making Hitler look like a choir boy. I've never been one to believe in conspiracy theories, but I can't deny what is unfolding before my eyes. It's absolutely shocking to see countries that used to have morals and values just throw it all away. It's all wrapped in clever justifications that admittedly are very creative. But it seems few people realize what's truly behind the deceiving language. Can anyone relate to what I'm saying and should we all pray for revival or some kind of pushback to this or 'wait on the Lord'?

When or where was it written with trespass and trespasses in matthew 6:12? Instead of debt and debtors? Is this a real Mandela effect? I can't find any version of it using trespass and trespasses, but all sorts of evidence that it was written that way at one time. Do you have an explanation?

is there somewhere I can look for understanding of the scripture
  • Take no thought - 3 years ago
John Ch 21 ,V 1-19 . Apart from the obvious narrative , what is happening here ? Firstly Jesus gives Peter the opportunity to make up for his three fold denial of him by asking him 3 times "lovest though me " . Secondly Jesus is telling Peter and the other disciples with him , this fishing isn't your job any more "feed my sheep " , that's Peters new job , and thirdly Jesus is showing Peter and the others that they don't need to worry about providing for themselves and their families , if they have them , Jesus will provide , he will feed them . I have found that very often in scripture there is a lot more going on than that which is at first apparent .

In the book of Genesis Chapter 14:18-20 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

My question is: Is it Melchizedek giving tithes of all he has to Abram? or is it Abram giving tithes of all he has to Melchizedek?
