There is a place in the bible that gives if calm when others force the words of " don't be prejudice... They are people too..."

I'm trying to not be derogatory. I want plainly a spot in my bible that describes it.

The offspring of a closely related family others others birthed from sabotage of a good family.

I can't remember the pages and the verses.

The pages are above a 1000.

    Where should I read.

    (Part 4)

That doesn't mean that a Gentile can't do that. There are many people over the years that have. A person can be in a group with believers and seem just like everyone else but not be saved.

They can even give up their old lifestyle and seem to be following the Lord and then after some time just walk away and go right back to where they were before. And people might wonder what happened because they seemed like a believer.

Well, if you understand the parable of the sower, you know what happened. Only one out of the four people that received the seed gets saved. There are three others that heard the same thing that the saved person hears, but they have different reactions.

One of them is a person that's excitingly, with joy, hears the word. But then when tribulations come, and by the way, that's how you grow, through trials and tribulations, but when the tribulation came, they quit because it's not exciting anymore.

Now it's down to living life. Now it's down to trusting the Lord, and learning how to live by faith! And to the flesh, sometimes it's not as exciting as it first was. So they quit!

The indication in the bible that a person is saved is that they make it all the way to the end. All saved people make it all the way to the end.

A person who is not saved can look, and act, and talk, and believe just like a normal believer. You can learn the language and learn the doctrines, and learn the lingo and say "praise the Lord," and you can learn how to put Jesus bumper stickers on your car correctly, and then one day just disappear and denounce the whole thing. That person was never saved to begin with.

The proof that one is saved is that they make it to the end. Why? Because we are kept by the power of God for salvation!

One more short post, I promise!

    (Part 3)

Hebrews 6:5, "And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,"

All these tastes, it's like sampling. A non-believer can sit in with believers and receive the same ministry of God's Spirit to that group, even in their own lives, as to the truth of Christ. And then it says "And the powers of the world to come." They were actually there to participate.

I recall the ten lepers that approached Jesus and wanted their healing. So He healed the ten lepers and sent them on their way, and only one of them stopped and returned to worship the Lord, and the Lord turns to the disciples and says weren't there ten lepers?

Nine of them just took their healing and took off. Only one turned to worship Christ.

There are people who participate in the powers of God's Spirit moving in amongst His people, and they're not even saved.

And then Hebrews 6:6 says, "If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

Here's the literal translation from the Greek text. The King James says "if they shall fall away." There's no "if" in the Greek text. It's just after having fallen away. They've already done it.

It's after having fallen away. And you can see in all these things that he's listing, they are all past tense. It's something they used to do that they don't do anymore.

Verse 4 started off by saying it's impossible for these people. Verse 6 says to renew them again unto repentance; Impossible! Seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to open shame.

These are Hebrews and Jews who went back and denounced the whole thing and were back professing their unbelief, and hatred, and anger toward the Lord and they were doing it publically.

    (Part 2)

In John Chapter 3, we all know John3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." But that verse is just the beginning of a more detailed introduction of the fact that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil, so they turned away from the light.

But then there are others who came to the light because they have a desire for the enlightenment. So everybody gets enlightened but not everybody responds in the same way. An enlightened person is not necessarily a saved person.

When everyone stands before God, their responsibility first of all and foremost will be what you did in response to the light. It won't be words.

It won't be that you get punished because you used the wrong translation of the bible and didn't understand a couple of words. It's what you did when you were enlightened. And you might not even have known when. Everyone is enlightened to the truth.

It says for those who were once enlightened. Secondly: and have tasted of the heavenly gift. They've participated with the things of Christ. They have participated with the Holy Spirit. They don't have Him living inside, but they tasted of that heavenly gift that God gives to His people. They're sitting in amongst God's people and they're participating and they're receiving.

Then it says "And were made partakers of the Holy Ghost." Notice the emphasis? They were partakers, that is, they were in this interaction and the Holy Spirit was ministering to them. They were partaking of the Holy Spirit as He was enlightening them.

But notice they were partakers of the Holy Spirit. The emphasis is the Holy Spirit, not Christ. The Holy Spirit's the one that's ministering. They didn't know Christ!

Having been called I am striving for perfection so I will be chosen. Good comments down below from Spencer, I admonish your good works as well as Richards. If the bible tells us that: Transgression equals the Law and the Law equals Transgression; then we look under "Tees" for the category "Transgression" and we find it not. I pray and hope for a "Transgression" category or "Radio button" Transgression.

Why? A favorite question of the ignorant and unlearned. I admonish the search engine Richard because the search engine presented over two pages verses with "transgression". Please add this category so I may write my sermons with greater efficiency unto perfection.

I am very thankful for this website Richard, actually I am extremely thankful for this website Richard.

There is a lot of I KNOW AND YOUR WRONG attitudes out here when it comes to The Word of "God", (yes spelled with a capital G by the way), but is it really getting us anywhere? 2 Timothy 2:23

(But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.)

    Titus 3:9

(But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.) When it comes to God's Word no one knows it better than God, go to him, pray for understanding and whatsoever in faith believing ye ask, ye shall receive! The preacher said it best in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.) God Bless and fight the good fight.

Could anybody help me understand II Cor:11-21? Was Paul being sarcastic here? Or is he saying, "Don't suffer fools gladly, let them smite you, take advantage of you..." Isn't the teaching contradictory, "don't suffer fools gladly" and "turn the other cheek" ? In the past, I have let people walk all over me, fearing to call people out on stuff, as though that were not loving them in Christ. Thank you.

I have always prayed that The Lord Jesus would put convection in my children's hearts and there was something else, but I cannot remember, it seems the word started with a B. I am 74, but this is the first time I have forgot a word and just can't remember. Just what else can He put. I love Him with all my heart and soul

    Thank you, Barbara

When God told Noah to build an ark and it rained for 40 days and nights to flood the world, God made a rainbow to show Noah his promise not to flood the world again. My question is was that rainbow truly the first rainbow to ever be seen? If so, how is that possible when science can explain why there are rainbows? Did that science not exists at that time until God invented it?

  • Johnny Williams on Acts 2:18 - 4 years ago
It's amazing, the Christian world ignores Acts 2, especially the thirty eighth verse.

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." This verse is self explanatory!! Repent, be baptized in Jesus name for the REMISSION OF YOUR SINS and you (everybody) will receive the Holy Ghost. So why does most of the Christian world ignore Acts 2:38? This is the instructions to obtain salvation. The Church began on that day, the day of Pentecost.THE NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH began on that day in Acts, which is the only church Jesus died and bled for! Most of the Christian world seems to admit repentance is necessary for salvation. But they seem to believe baptism is ONLY symbolic and has no real impact on salvation. Yes baptism is symbolic, just as Jesus is the symbolic sacrificial lamb who was slain on Calvary for our sins!! Paul explains the importance of baptism in Romans chapter 6. Baptism is necessary for salvation.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him (Jesus) by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk--- in newness of life. What is that

"newness of life"? Its remission of sins! When our sins are remitted, they are gone and forgiven. But their our sins are only remitted if baptism is done in Jesus name after repentance. And Paul explains why baptism is necessary in Romans 6.

The Bible seems to contradict itself sometimes. I dont understand how the world was populated by only 2 people. Where did the people come from that able was scared would find him and kill him when he was sent into the land of nod. Incest is a sin so who had those people?. I also dont understand how we were made in Gods image when It says God is a spirit. I need help

It is refreshing to read the discussions on this site. A little on me, who I am and what I am doing.

I making notes on a study I am doing and moved Matthew 24 to the beginning. The study began years ago Matthew 5-7, the Sermon on the Mount and expanded from there to here.

When taking course 50 years ago I was required to us the American Standard Version, not because of the different language, but for the wide outer margin. I decided to use desktop publishing and now have this study in the KJV with a 2 1/2" margin on the right.

    The Matthew Henry Commentary outline

Christ foretells the destruction of the temple. (1-3)

The troubles before the destruction of Jerusalem. (4-28)

Christ foretells other signs and miseries, to the end of the world. (29-41)

    Exhortations to watchfulness. (42-51)

The question I now have is "What does Jesus say about those who spend so much time attempting to define the date for the End Time?" Jesus has told us that we are not to know WHEN. He has also told us not to concern ourselves about this, and to only be aware of it. I think of the Boy Scout Moto, when I read on this subject, "Be Prepared"

Ref Matthew 23:23-26 Are those who are attempting to define these things the ones mentioned here?

"23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it

were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

    26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers;

    believe it not." (KJV)
