"Love is life, is to have continuously
The soul, the sense, the heart open
To the great things, to the beautiful things (...)
It's to have the heart in celebration, smile.
And easily interperse celebration with weeping
And It's to seek sadness, loneliness, the desert,
And It's to be the happier and unfortunate from mankind
At the sime time. (Gonalves dias: Se se morre de amor)
Does wisdom bring sorrow and grief? Does it mean that the wise is sad? If it is true, can I say that wisdom is not good? In Proverbs it's written that we must seek wisdom... Is sadness a continuous condition of wise men?
I cant find the verse again. can you tell me if there is one ?
Thanks Matt G R
Fail not to communicate?
To which Jesus replies. " Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is,God..."
What's happening here...does Jesus suggest that He ( Jesus) is not good?
Did HE inherit the sin nature from Mary, but still remain sinless by His choices?
HE refers to Himself in other places as the " son of man "
If HE doesn't have the sin nature we have from the first Adam, then HE can't relate to me
as a man, since HE doesn't have it and I do?
Is it possible HE did all His miracles as a man, empowered by the Holy Spirit?...and He is no different
from me ( or you ) as a believer?
And we will do more miracles than HE did, because we believe in HIM?
Historically there have been people who have experienced miracles, but who are totally human in nature?
A real puzzle for me.....any thoughts on how this can be resolved?..... Neil, in Canada
Easter was originally the celebration of Ishtar, the Assyrian and Babylonian goddess of fertility and sex. After Constantine decided to Christianize the Empire, Easter was changed to represent Jesus. But at its roots, Easter (which is how you pronounce Ishtar) is all about celebrating fertility and sex.
Ishtar(ProperNoun) A goddess of fertility, love, sex and war. In the Babylonian pantheon, she was the divine personification of the planet Venus. Assyrian and Babylonian counterpart to the Sumerian Inanna and to the cognate northwest Semitic goddess Astarte.
Pagan goddess of Easter
"Eostre"
But in English-speaking countries, and in Germany, Easter takes its name from a pagan goddess from Anglo-Saxon England who was described in a book by the eighth-century English monk Bede. "Eostre was a goddess of spring or renewal and that's why her feast is attached to the vernal equinox."
Passover is the Christian Holiday we Worship. Has nothing to do with the pagan Holiday of Easter.
The word "Easter" (or its equivalents) appear in the Bible only once in Acts 12:4. This passage refers to Herod killing John, the brother of James. Peter was to be next, so Peter was put in prison until after the pagan holiday of Easter (for Jews & Christians, the Passover). That's the night the Angel of the Lord broke Peter out of prison! Hallelujah!

Malachi 2:17- Malachi 3:1. Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
Isaiah 40:3. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Mark 1:2-4
As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
NOTE: In Isaiah and Malachi the plural form for God is used. ( El-o-heem' ) as it is in Deuteronomy 6:4.
Who was the messenger preparing the way for God as mentioned? 'John the baptist'
When God came who did he show up as? " The Lord Jesus Christ. God bless.
This verse Titus 1:5-9 I do understand it, but what if the case are not what's written in this verse? What is the right thing to do?
Thank you so much.
In Genesis 3:8 the Lord was "walking" in the garden of Eden. In Exodus 33:20 He said no man shall see my "face" and live. Exudus 33:23 speaks of His "hand" and "back parts". The vision of Daniel 7:9 seeing the Ancient of Days(God) "sitting" on His throne wearing a "garment" and having "hair". Many other details in Revelation of one who "sat" upon the throne.
Did God not make us in His image?
Just because we in this physical body cannot see the spirit realm, unless God chooses to send someone a revelation or vision etc, does not mean it is not there.
God Bless.
At first I thought You can not come to the Father but through the son and the believer was that avenue, it just wasn't sitting well.
After a lot of prayer and a lot of digging, two words came to me. Born again. You must be born again to get to heaven. How do you do that?
You should understand who Jesus is, the Son of God, that you are a sinner in need of a saviour, and believe (what Jesus did).
(The Gospel)
1 Corinthians 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
Believe the Gospel and you will recieve the Holy Spirit, God's mark on your soul, and be saved.. You can not lose it.
Call out to Jesus, thank him for his life saving sacrifice!
Thank You,
God Bless,

The Holy Spirit now in operation on earth since the day of Pentecost (book of Acts).
Jesus ascended to sit at the right hand of God; He delegated gift giving to the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit gives the gifts of the Spirit, as He wills. He is the Spirit of Jesus Christ, on earth, now.
If it's in the New Testament, then it is New Testament living for now till Jesus comes back. This is a new and better Covenant. Each born again Christian is indwelled by the Holy Spirit. "Know ye not you are the Temple of the living God?"
If we don't read our Bibles beyond, Psalm 23, 1 John 1:9, Psalm 51 or Genesis; Matthew 25:29-46, we'll miss seeing the Ministry Gifts.
The whole of the purpose of the Cross was to strip Satan of his power he stole from Adam; Ratify the New Covenant with His Blood. To deliver the Holy Spirit to the New Testament Church
(Pentecost). Jesus would then be in every born again believers, spirit. Fulfill all outstanding Prophesy; start writing the New Testament down
If we are skittish about Tongues, the Holy Spirit knows that. He's in us. We're the temple. Scripture says to desire the best gifts or operations, like: government, hospitality, missions, and more, like ministry gifts=prophets, teachers, pastors, evangelists, apostles. Etc. It's written.
New Testament disciples and believers were saying things like, I follow Peter or Paul and others. It was new and that's how people think to identify. Herd mentality.
Habakkuk 2:2
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon table ,so that he may run that readeth it. (They didn't have paper notebooks then, or personal Bibles!)
You will find your identity in the pages of your Bible. I've said that for 36 years. Jesus will help us understand our particular equippings. He hasn't told me to scratch that one out and move along; so, it still stands as Rhema. Google that word...
Believe Jesus's words. Bible.
I did a study in both the KJV and the Textus Receptus about gifts. I began in 1 Corinthians 12:1 where it says "Now concerning spiritual gifts." Our English bible says spiritual gifts, but the Greek does not have the word gifts.
The literal translation from the Greek text reads "Now concerning the things of the Spirit."
The things that we call "gifts," as if God is giving these gifts to us, are not gifts we receive. We are given His Spirit. That's the gift. Everything else that we call a gift, and I think there are nine things that are mentioned, they are not actually gifts that God gives us, but manifestations of His Spirit.
Throughout the NT, there is only one place that the Greek word for gift, as in giving a gift to someone is used. Every other place the word gift is used, a different Greek word is used and it describes the capacities of the Holy Spirit. Paul taught that there is one Spirit and He has all the abilities and capacities for all of the ministry things of God.
The Greek text uses two different words for our word gift. The only place I see the word gift used in the New Testament that refers to a gift that is actually given to us is the gift of the Holy Spirit.
In Acts 2:38, Peter says you shall receive the (gift) of the Holy Ghost. The word gift here is actually a gift that's given. It's the word DIDOMAI. It means to give. Every other place where the word gift is found, the word used is CHARISMA. It comes from the word CHARIS which means grace. CHARISMA is an expression of God's grace. It has nothing to do with a gift that is given to us.
The only gift we are promised and given is the gift of the Holy Spirit. All the other gifts (CHARISMA) are the capacities of God's Spirit and expressions of His grace.
Verses 21-31
Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
But, he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
Which things are an allegory: for these are the two convenants, the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath a husband.
Now we, brethern, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
So then, brethern, we are not children of the bondwoman, but children of the free.
