I've heard it said that Jesus did not make a "name" for the way of truth that He taught for the approx 3 years he was here on earth. And perhaps the reason was because He brought one way, one faith and one baptism. Some have said He didn't have to make a name because He didn't teach 2,000 or more different ways to worship God. That has always been an interesting question to me.

And Jesus said He didn't have a place to lay his head. Foxes have holes, birds nest but the Son of man hath not a place to lay His head. That's just so interesting to me. Why would Jesus go out homeless?

Apparently there was nearly always someone who would want Him to stay in their home. What a privilege...... Then were His disciples also homeless? Following His example. Perhaps they also would be welcome in the homes of the believers so they could visit..... A couple nights here and there etc. would it not be the simplest way possible and not to be a burden on anyone and what blessing for those who were chosen to invite the disciples into their homes.??

When all other verses fed away for a while from memories, when I am severely in pain and hurt and life seems so unfair and bitter and unfairness takes place and my emotion and accusations takes over and the devil thinks he has won, and I feel as I have failed somehow and hopelessNess comes and there is nothing can be done about the situation, I still cling to my LORD whatever the case. I tell the devil that if God is with me who on earth can be against me? I remind him that He is obviously a loser and that I have the ALMIGHTY God in me who is so much greater and that I am not supposed to trust humans but just love them while I just TRUST my LORD to the end for He is the one who is able to get me to the place where eyes has not seen not ears have not heard.........

    Amen forever

Re: Discussion regarding once saved, always saved

If saved person commits sin after he was saved, does he remain saved to the end? Is his name not written in the Book of Life at his salvation? Can his name be stricken from the book? If so, for what reasons? If he simply repents can his name be added back at that moment? Or, does he have to be judged on the day of judgement to be added back? I am truly lost on scriptures regarding once saved, always saved! After judgement, then Jesus makes the final decision right? How does this all work?

We often get questions on whether Jesus could have committed sin, some believe he had a sin nature but was just obedient, and all we have to be obedient and trust in Christ and we shall be saved, ( In that order, SANCTIFICATION AND THEN SALVATION AFTER THAT. ) They don't view the ten commandments as our schoolmaster to show us our short comings, and a need for a savior but rather they're instructions to salvation. But how can they be instructions for salvation if they were impossible to keep being we have this cursed sin nature? If you can keep all the commandments why is there a need to be born again? If we are not born with a sin nature why are we baptized in Jesus death? Did Jesus struggle to resist sin as we do? Better yet did struggle with doing the right thing as we do? ""NO"". If we go to hell it will be because we didn't believe in he who was promised to come 430 years before the commandments, because we was transgressors before the commandments, and when the commandments came we died because we became sin. Jesus came to take the PENALTY of sin "which is death" off us and placing it on himself and defeating death when he rose from the dead! so if we was baptized in his death we should walk in newness of life by his resurrection, So sanctification comes after salvation. Man isn't a sinner because he committed a sin, Man commits sin because he is a sinner. ( EXAMPLE) You take a man biting dog and tie him up. he's now unable to bite is he still a man biting dog? The ability of man able to sin makes him imperfect and unholy apart from Jesus Christ. So if you want to be judged by your achievements you're still in bondage, if you trust in Christ you are freed. Thank you.

Why are you guys saying stoning to death is just a spiritual death? Wouldn't the Bible say that and not left for us to interpret a different meaning? Maybe it's time I don't read the discussions anymore. We people make something more out of nothing.
  • A Sister of Asaph in Christ on Psalms 50:16 - 4 years ago
AMEN!!!! Asaph's Psalm...I'm just SO thankful that the Psalmists of the LORD's had problems with people that suffer from the same spiritual disEase today that they did back then. Satan LOATHES his OWN children! For if he loved them, as he lies to say he does, wouldn't he want not them to suffer, but to spend eternity...above? In Hell there will be torment--it was made for him, NOT THEM. But many snared by this serpent...will be burning forever...as him. Like father...like daughter. Like son, like mom.... But that is to say--the opposite is true for SOME! Surely I know examples, and the LORD GOD's Son teaches us this: "And a man's enemies, shall be..." from whence?

Thank you to those who created and those who maintainthis website...it is an help meet for those like me!
