The New Testament is full of symbols we must understand what each symbol represents the beast that it's coming up out of the sea and in Revelation 13 is the US we must understand that this beast looks like a lamb which is what a baby Buffalo is called. It's soul purpose is to return power to the dragon. Do you know who the dragon is? It's not satan!

Hi Christine -- Because the original King James Bible which we are reading here was translated back in 1611, and from the Greek, the word "charitie" may not have quite the same meaning as "charity" today. Today we think of charity mainly as giving to others less fortunate, who need help. But other translations of the Bible both before and after the original King James version translate the Greek word as "love." If you read 1 Corinthians 13 using the word "love," it has a broader and deeper meaning. Love includes charity, but is more profound, especially when we consider that our human love is but part of God's love. No matter what we do, if we don't do it with love, we haven't done it fully, and in the end we're not left with much. Everything else will pass away, but love is eternal. Of faith, hope and love, the greatest of these is love. (verse 13.) As for your helping your friend, it sounds to me like your help was coming from a place of love. Are you sure that your friend meant her message the way you understood it? Was she saying that she would value your friendship even without your help? Sometimes these messages need to be straightened out. Psychology gets involved. Maybe she was feeling guilty for accepting your help. Maybe a longer discussion with her would help straighten it all out. And it also sounds like a Bible-study group might be of great use to you as far as Biblical meaning is concerned. Reading the Bible can be daunting. Is there a church that might have a Bible-study group that they have put on-line that you might attend, and that you might attend in person after the pandemic?

  • Norman Walker Butch on Psalms 96:2 - 5 years ago
I have a question that I cannot get a answer to and have been trying for a long time. How could the people see Jesus raise people from the dead, heal people right in front of them that they knew was sick, preform miracles right in front of there faces like raise people from the dead and walk on water. My question is why did people still not believe in him when they saw all this right in front of them and knew for sure he did it because they knew the people for a long long time. If I saw him walk on water and preform a miracle on one of my friends that is all it would take for me to believe in him! So what do you all think? Love you Jesus Amen

I believe there is a psalm, not sure, but it's something to the effect of this, "I heard your prayers all along, I never did not hear you, I answer prayers in my time, not yours"

Does this sound right? Any psalms to that effect or where could find it? Tyvm

1 Kings 4:26-How can this verse say Solomon had 40,000 stalls when 2 Chronicles 9:25 says he had only 4,000 stalls?

Problem: In recording the prosperity of Solomon, this passage states that he had 40,000 stalls of horses for his chariots. However, 1 Chronicles 9:25 affirms that Solomon had only 4,000 stalls for horses. Which one is right?

Solution: This is undoubtedly a copyist error. The ratio of 4,000 horses to 1,400 chariots, as found in the 2 Chronicles passage, is much more reasonable than a ratio of 40,000 to 1,400 found in the 1 Kings text. In the Hebrew language, the visual difference between the two numbers is very slight. The consonants for the number 40 are rbym,? while the consonants for the number 4 are rbh (the vowels were not written in the text). The manuscripts from which the scribe worked may have been smudged or damaged and have given the appearance of being forty thousand rather than four thousand.

Perhaps I need to read further, because I know that God left no unanswered questions in the Bible. I am currently unable to locate an explanation for the reproduction of humankind after the flood. We know that it's a sin for kinship to fornicate, so with whom did Noah and his family mate, since all of life succumbed to the forty days and forty nights of rainfall? If someone could point toward the book....
  • Carolyn Scott Hunt on Leviticus 18 - 5 years ago
This is actually questions pertaining to Leviticus 18. If a father molests his daughter, is it considered incest or, is the father guilty of rape and the daughter innocent of any sin? If you have observed family members naked is this a sin? Should these questions be reserved for a pastor, or at least, one considered an expert on God's word?
  • Maria on Ezekiel 7:19 - 5 years ago
The histories of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, the old and the new give us a glimpse to what was done to those who disobey the covenants and commandments of God. Ezekiel 7, represents God's wrath on his disobedient children. Then and also now. Ezekiel 7 is describing the great tribulation upon the earth.

From the very beginning, in the garden of Eden to this our present time. Those who were disobedient to the holy precepts were utterly destroyed, it will be done today also. Ezekiel a Prophet of old foresaw our future and he wrote it as evidence for us. We are being forewarned of what is coming, if only we repent and turn away from doing what is evil, only then, we will obtain mercy from God and the nations will be healed from such severe calamity.

The scriptures tells us that it will be the same as Noah's time and as Sodom and Gomorrah, this was an example for all humanity to learn from. There will be only a handful of righteous people that will be saved, out of all the earth, this is something to seriously meditate profoundly. We have to go back to the first love, God loved us first, therefore the creation. God chastises his children because he loves them. God wants his children to love him back by doing so, we are to obey him.

He is calling us through dreams and visions, mostly now for his second coming. He is coming soon! We are to keep watch and be prepared by repentance, baptism and in keeping all of his commandments. For anything that is impure will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. God is love, for who would give up his only son to die for all humanity?(including the sinners, but only if they repent.) God bless those who obey him.
