There was a fullblood Indian mother that had never been to church or heard the word of God. Her son was born again, repented, believed on Jesus, he told her about Jesus and how she could be saved, that she should repent and believe, she asked her son can he (JESUS) understand my Cherokee language? He said yes mom he understands and she was saved and believed on Jesus. --- in the early 1920's - 30

"For God made not death: neither hath he pleasure in the destruction of the living."

My question: How do he said like this. God created tree of death and life in Eden. It contradict this verse.

  • James brooks on Ruth 3:15 - 5 years ago
Hi Chris, you said that our Heaven Father gives us all that David received,I believe that as well. But is He giving us far more?He gave us a sure salvation through His Unique Son.Don,t you think that David was granted salvation through that same Unique Son,as well as us?David was after GOD,S own heart, he was GOD,S choice.I believe that David was saved by the same Jesus that saved Me.God graciously promised that one day Christ would come into the world as a Lamb foreordained before the foundation of the world( 1 peter 1:19-20)I think will bring clarity to what i,m trying to say.By faith Abraham was credited as righteousness.all who has faith in Abraham is Abraham,s children.Grace and truth came by JESUS CHRIST.Jesus did say;before Abraham was, I AM.He is the same savior.GOD our savior,Jesus Christ our LORD and savior, the redeemer and keeper of our souls. What a mystery!

The full armament of God has the Shield of Faith and the Sword of the Word. In verse 21 it reads "which sword procedeeth our his mouth."Jesus is the word of God. (The living word). The word/sword came out of his mouth....The sharpest two-edged sword cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow...Words can cut. Jesus is at war, with our sins. That's why we need the armament of God. Our little corruptions adding up. Against ourselves, and against others, piling up. I have to remind myself about idle conversation and to say "yay yay or nay nay." What has struck me with the pandemic is the same conversations being held. On things like ESPN or the news. They have nothing to talk about. It's just speculation, nothing fruitful. Just filling airtime. I can't take it, I have to quit listening. Those words are fruitless. The news, I might as well go to Hardees at 6 am and listening the "chatter." And, those words are meant to divide. Not in the way Jesus's words are meant to divide. Divide us from our sin. Their words are meant to sell commercials and products, can't serve God and mammon both. How much of it is backbiting? Point is, there's words we should listen to and think about and meditate on. And, our words do matter. It's ok to be right about something and not voice it. (I don't remember which book, chapter or verse). Our job is to uplift people to God not turn them away with callous speech. In which I am guilty of and struggle with.
  • Mishael on New Jerusalem on Matthew 6:29 - 5 years ago
I'm going to tell a little testimony/ story about my son when he was 8.

He blurted out to me he didn't want to go to heaven if they didn't have pizza. He was really upset.

I ask questions to nail down objections. So I asked him if he ever noticed how many different kinds of trees were around? Yes.

Butterflies, puppies, kittens, flowers? Bugs, birds, rocks, mountains and lakes; games we all loved to play, music, and the list grew long. He loved all those things.

I said that is how God feels too. He loves varieties, differences, colors, shapes. It's never boring; there's always more to see and experience; embrace.

It follows that New Jerusalem will be similar.

It will be a place we all love and call our home.

My hope: it's not like it is here now. Oh yeah... there will be pizza in heaven :)

No one is going to agree on the time of the Caught Up (rapture). IT'S A MYSTERY!

Trying to predict it is akin to those who predicted 1988 to be that time. It didn't happen.

The harmony of the gospels all agree that ONLY the Father knows. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God until such time. He's interceding for ALL saints, presently.

Caught Up clearly means that Jesus will NOT descend all the way to earth (as most have agreed upon). This is happening in the air. We escape the law of gravity in a blink. He meets us, and we are transformed. Those who sleep will rise with their transformed bodies. Jesus our Bridegroom, will take His Bride to a wedding and supper. There will be wine.

Who cares what exact date that happens? What is the fear? Do we think, oh I still have time to willfully sin a bit longer? Or maybe you'll think about getting loved ones born again? That's so HOLLOW. This is one time not to procrastinate.

We are TOLD to be ready with our lamps full of the oil of the Holy Spirit. Oil in one hand and "wedding dress" on.

I have sensed by what I've read, that readiness is the key consideration.

The Caught Up is NOT the triumphant return. We will not be here when the remainder of unfulfilled prophesies are suddenly fulfilled. Woe to everybody who chooses a TRIB. Don't be a Virgin with an empty Lamp!!!

Have you timed a twinkling of eye blink?

Get your last minute cares done NOW. Or you may be LEFT BEHIND. No oil, no wedding apparel, so sorry.

If you write a book on pre, mid, or post tribulation, I will not buy it. I'm ready to fly now :D

  • LG Spears on Revelation 21 - 5 years ago
In v.16 it says the lg., breadth & ht. of heaven are =. Is the ht. a mistake? In v.17 it says the wall is 144 cubits, is this thick. or ht or both since a wall has both & I suppose we assume it goes around heaven. Is 12,000 fur. the total dist. around the wall; if so, then heaven has about 141,000 sq. mi. of land which is about 1/2 the size of Texas & if 1/2 the land is used for housing & everyone in heaven lived in 2000 sq.ft. houses/ 5 persons per house on lots of 3,000 sq.f.t each, then heaven could house about 33,000,000 people. This would free up the remaining 1/2 of land for churches, golf courses, beaches, parks, nature trails & shopping malls--almost forgot ,& football stadiums.

"Why does evil exist, if God is Love?" I'm not sure that there is any connection between the two, because IF that would be the case, then a loving God, to prove His Love & protect His creation, would have to annihilate any design or act of evil that would oppose that love. Thus any attempt at doing evil will be immediately thwarted. Yet, since evil does exist, & God is Love, there must be a part of that Love that permits evil to continue & it can't be that evil was in God's Plan for the entrance of man & His Christ, as that would then compromise His Holy Being, that of Love.

But if we say, 'but God cannot create evil but planned for its inception into the world', then we're back to the first point, why should God bother with creating everything, all things becoming corrupted, sending His Son to redeem us & restoring the world to what it should have been? Here, I think that the first suggestion would fit well: that God should have just annihilated evil at its root & saved everyone a lot of bother.

Carlos, our thread has been locked again, so am sending my comment as a New one. Trust you saw my other comments sent in a similar way (over a day ago).

"I don't mean to diminish the fact God deserves and gets Glory, Exaltation, etc." Sorry, your statement confused me as you say that God deserves our praise & love, yet in your comment to Adam you mentioned that He doesn't need it. If He doesn't need it, then I wonder, in your understanding, what does God do with all the praise, worship & love that goes up to Him. In human terms, if I am given something but feel that I don't need it (i.e. consider it of little use to me & therefore it's either shelved or given away to someone who might make better use of it), would that be similar to what you're thinking? If so, then is God one Who receives these offerings, but since they don't affect Him in any way, He remains unmoved by them? Or, maybe you mean that any offerings coming to Him doesn't affect His Character in any way & Who He is.

"What I would like to get at is what the Bible reveals about What God created us for in that Love. There's a persistent question people ask. That is, if God, why evil? Perhaps this is too philosophical, but it is important. Why does evil exist, if God is Love? The notion that we have Choice or Free Will, isn't enough." I can't add anymore to what has already been said to, "why did God, in His Love, create us?" I realize that your understanding that we were the means for His Son to enter the world & give his life for us, & there is truth there, but why indeed were we created.

At least some christians and probably many believe that when they are sick; it is just a matter of asking God for a healing; and many expect it and some expect it, immediately; and God can do it; He has done that, many times and so did Jesus; but that did not stop the world from sinning. Jesus was crucified. So; we sin; get sick and all we have to do is asked to be healed; and If God did that every time and all the time; we would not need Doctors; but the world would still sin. So, is God still suppose to do it simply because we ask? That is up to Him; but I know I wouldn't unless I had the power; and no one has that power unless God gives it; and the healing is in His name.

Rich - in Reply on Hebrews 10

Hello again, I was hoping and wondering if you went C anyone as I suggested; but i also checked the dictionary meaning of wilfully "with the intention of causing harm; with a stubborn and determined intention to do as one wants, regardless of the consequences"

It sounds to me that you are thinking about the about the consequences as in regards 2 repentance?" No it doesn't mean that. It refers to intentions of harming others. The 4 examples given concerned the harming of others. Nevertheless; u don't want to turn back to your old ways. That is what is given u the stress; and that can be severe and block out your faith, please C someone as I suggested

If you are more comfortable not speaking to God, by all means, make Him into the god who doesn't talk back.

Do you have religion or relationship?

I'm going to go now and enjoy some praise music. Later.

Genesis 3;6 I just noticed that the scripture says Eve gave to Her husband who was with her.

Because the serpent was talking to Eve , what does the scripture mean when it says , Adam was with her when she gave him the fruit?

  • Mishael on WHAT does God want on Psalms 26:2 - 5 years ago
Bless the Holy Spirit! He's been reading your comments.

As soon as I came in, I saw all the comments. The Holy Spirit said one word:

    FELLOWSHIP.

That's what we do here, mostly lol. I was reminded of a couple of things: Genesis 2:19, God brought the animals etc to see (with pleasure) what Adam would name them. That's a lot of critters so I'm thinking it was a daily time together.

Genesis 3:8, and they heard the voice of God !!! Walking in the garden in the cool of the day. I know I like walking, early evening. Forget the sin and stuff... God likes to walk with us. It could happen if we were ever in tune with Him.

Watching in the night before Him. Listening. Talking to Him like he was in the room too?

Fellowship. We were made for all kinds of fellowship, but primarily with God, through the Holy Spirit. He's NOT a floating ghostly vision: He is a Person. He would comfort us if we would let Him!

Watchman, Watchman, what do you see ?

Since you are all excellent searchers of the Word; here are some places of scriptures concerning 'fellowship' between us and God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of Jesus for his saints.

    Psalm 130:6, Psalm 19:2, 1 Corinthians 1:9

    Ephesians 3:9, books of John 15, 17

    Philippians 2:1-2, 3:10

    1 John 1:3, 6, 7. And more to discover...

One time I was reading Ezekiel and got to the Valley of dry bones. When God said for him to prophesy! Every hair on my body stood up and when he said THUS SAITH THE LORD...my knees gave way.

He is so majestically Powerful, it takes your breath away.

You can have a relationship /fellowship with the Godhead!

Those scriptures will change from words on a page, to the living Word Of God! Alive, living in your heart, your mind, the text you write.

You all need to ask the Holy Spirit for the Gift, of discerning of spirits. Covet the best gift: word of wisdom. Receive it. Gifts and callings are irrevocable.

Yeshua or Jesus? Heresy or Hebrew roots?

Luke Chapter 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name [was] Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

(Angel Gabriel gave JESUS his name from the Lord)

so by what scriptural authority does anyone have to call him YESHUa?

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his

    father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

YESHU is a curse that means may his name be blotted out. This is commonly used by those who claim to be Noahides.

They claim Noah was given a set of laws yet they exist only in the minds of Rabbis. I can not find Noah being given any laws in my King James.
