Someone needs to be brave and just get it down to bare bones about the Rapture; and the Second Coming. Two separate events.

The bare bones is this: quit waiting for some big sign post in the sky that says it's going to be tonight or next week. Our time for sin is done. Quit wondering and open up the door of your heart that Jesus is knocking on.

Give your life to Jesus Christ... and take His Life. Accept him as your Savior and Lord.

Take yourself OFF of the throne of your heart....and PUT Jesus on that throne. Do it now!

End your fleshly, worldly lifestyle and begin to live for Jesus only. If the Holy Spirit cringes in your home....get rid of the idols.

You cannot learn the Bible with media all over your home. Stop now and read this passage: it's about the media!! Isaiah 8:18-22. Wizards that peep and mutter are computers that are hooked up to internet, Facebook, evil Twitter of voices of heartless hell bound people. Verse 20, because there is NO LIGHT in them! People feed themselves on garbage every day. No wonder there is no sense of stability in their christian walk.

We're living in Bottom Line days here! The moment Jesus speaks COME UP, we are gone. The door is shut.

Avoid all the confusion of varying opinions. BE BORN AGAIN NOW. Then you won't have to wonder when THE MOMENT will be. Your ticket is punched. You are ready to board!!

We are surely going to see Matthew 24 bloom and spread out across the world. Time for lively debates has passed. If you care so much, go next door and see if your neighbor is ready....and to others on the street. Romans chapter one.

If other people are not saved; do not want to be saved; ask you to leave ( Romans 1)

They are dead already. Noah's world drowned. This world is going by fire.

It blows my mind that people are not one bit curious about New Jerusalem? Are not highly excited about meeting the Son of God. Beloveds, look forward. Be ready. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

  • Tim Moriarty on Matthew 24:38 - 5 years ago
I know that Mathew 24 is all about the 2nd coming and NOT the rapture. That said; I wonder how Mathew 24:38 can be; because at the time of the 2nd coming, the world will be in such chaos that things can not be "normal" as the verse implies? I wonder if it refers to the Jews that have been protected during the 2nd half of the tribulation? Or even if it were to refer to the "goats", even they will be in complete chaos?

I agree with Paul 100% and I believe the Bible does not contradict itself.

It is true a woman should not teach out of her womanhood or femininity. When she teaches, she is preaching/teaching not as a woman but as a member of the body of Christ, one together with other men and women. The womanhood in her should keep silent in church and be subject to her husband but the new creature in her cannot certainly be forbidden to speak the Word. In any case it was women who brought the first news of the resurrection and it was a woman (Anna) who blessed the then baby Jesus, speaking in the temple (the church). Was it not a woman who preached to the whole city and brought the whole of Samaria to Christ in John chapter 4? They later graduated in their belief (v42), after they had come to hear of the Lord first hand but their first instance of belief (v39) was at the testimony of the woman! Yes women were considered property in the Jewish traditions but now Christ has come to redeem them that are under the legalistic tendencies and nitty-gritties of the law that we might receive the adoption of sons and now we are all sons of God by faith!

It would be foolish to be legalistic and petty by clinging to do's and don'ts in taking this verse at its literal value; any saved Spirit filled, baptized believer can speak in church for there is neither male nor female but we are all one in Christ Jesus!
  • Mishael On Galatians 323-25 on 1 Timothy 5:8 - 5 years ago
3:23. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

3:24. Wherefore the law was our SCHOOLMASTER to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

3:25. But after faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

    Jonah 3:10

The entire nation of Nineveh repented: from the king down to the animals. Sack cloth, ashes and total fast, for all.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

The one instance of God repenting.

Galatians 5:22 The Fruit of the Holy Spirit:

    Love

    Joy

    Peace

    Long suffering

    Gentleness

    Goodness

    Meekness

    Temperance

    Comforter

    Teacher

Against such there is no law. // let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

I see nothing profitable in hitting the sheep with a pole. The shepherds crook is pull them back from danger.

What would the Holy Spirit do?

Jesus said to Peter: feed my sheep; 3 times.

Intercessory prayer is for His flock.

Standing in the gap, is for carrying lambs.

  • Gail E Brown on 2 Thessalonians 2:7 - 5 years ago
2 Thessalonians 2:7, I'm thinking upon the pre-tribulation vs post Tribulation, so I see: v7 who now lets will let, (Father) until he be taken out of the way, (Antichrist).

The God the Father let's the evil one work iniquity, until the son of perdition will be revealed and he will be taken out of the way.

Matthew 24:31 and he shall send his Angels with a great sound of a Trumpet and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds.

I see: the last Trump of God , the 7th Trump is the post Tribulation rapture.

I can understand that we have been taught the pre-tribulation rapture is what most believe, but does anyone take the time to search this out. I see: God's rath is poured out at the battle of Armageddon and before that God sends the angels at the last Trump to gather us home. Could this be ?

  • Chris on Psalms 8 - 5 years ago
Adam, re: Jn 14:15. Is Jesus speaking here of the Law that was given to the Jews, or about His commandments? Is there a difference? Jesus came as the fulfilment of God's Laws, i.e. He is God's Law, He came to present the WHOLE Law ( Mt 5:17 ff), He became the Law to everyone who believes ( Rom 10:4). So our obedience is not to the Jewish Law which only brought death ( 2 Cor 3:6-17), but to Christ's Law (= Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus ( Rom 8:1-4). I've never intimated that the Law given to the Jews were defective or defunct, but they were no longer binding on those "in Christ", as Christ's new Law = His commandments, go far higher in meaning & application than the old could ever do, & that too, given by God's Grace to us & His Power to us to obey them. So then, does this "New Law" through Jesus make mockery of God's original Law? Never. Jesus came to be its fulfilment in totality (i.e. Ten Commandments plus all the sacrificial & ceremonial Laws), so our obedience to Divine Laws are to be through His Spirit's ministration, as He writes them in our minds & hearts (again I use the 2 Cor 3:6-17 reference).

I'm sorry Adam, I don't follow your intimation in your succeeding remarks. If you could direct me to my particular quote, since I can't find any of my comments on grace & works in this thread (unless you are referring to my reference in Rom 11:5,6, which is not connected with works & grace in our usual application, but the working of God's Grace that nullifies man's (Jews) strict obedience to the Law to gain merit with God). However, if I've misunderstood your comments in this regard, please refresh me.

In the Beginning, God Created the Heavens and the Earth. In it, He placed a Garden. In it, He also placed Adam and Eve. And God declared everything He created, Perfect.

    1. Why didn't the Garden cover all of the earth?

    2. What is the meaning or definition of a Perfect Garden?

    3. How do weeds grow in a Perfect Garden?

    4. How Perfect were the people God created and placed in the Garden?

    5. What are the flaws of Perfection?

    6. If Adam and Eve were Perfect, how was it possible for them to disobey God?

    7. Where did God go wrong with creation?

Papal Rome is the beast, and anti christ I will let them tell you themseves.

The word "anti" in antichrist does not mean someone who is going to be openly anti (against) Christ. That word "anti" in the original Bible language can actually mean "IN PLACE OF". So could the bible antichrist be someone who has actually put himself "in place of" Christ? Well, we have further Bible evidence to support this. In 1 John 2:18-19 it says that there were "many antichrists", who "WENT OUT FROM THE CHURCH". In other words, John is pointing to the fact that those "antichrists" were WITHIN THE CHURCH!! Not only that, but Paul in 2 Thess. 2:3-4 calls the man of sin the "son of perdition". Now there is only one other place in the Bible where the name "son of perdition" is used, and that is in John 17:12 talking about JUDAS! And what was Judas? A professing follower of Christ Jesus. Someone who deceived from WITHIN the "church".

"The leader of the Catholic church is defined by the faith as the Vicar of Jesus Christ (and is accepted as such by believers). The Pope is considered the man on earth who TAKES THE PLACE of the Second Person of the omnipotent God of the Trinity." (John Paul II, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, p. 3, 1994).

"ANTI" - Christ = "IN PLACE OF" Christ!

Thank you! I love this commentary and responses. Many times a wife has had to deal with many issues surrounding this scripture as husbands placed as the head with the responsibility of providing and protecting. The help mate has many times been a great support to the head and has been severely and financially abused in the role reversal because the head is not providing.

An infidel indeed, Sometimes that head is a teacher/pastor who is so engulfed in the church they forget about home. Can we say they are so busy taking care of Gods bride they forget their own...

For those out there who are Bible quoting Christians professing the gospel that don't live it. James3:1 says you will be held at even a higher strictness.

Can we explore James 3:1 please?

I wish we could come to some kind of truce about how much trouble Israel has heaped upon themselves for allowing Jesus to be crucified?

It was PROPHESY. It all happened as the Godhead Wrote it. Through Jesus's suffering He set the new Covenant in motion until the mystery be completed: until the fullness of the Gentiles.

Rom. 11:11 ...have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather..through their fall...salvation is come unto the Gentiles (WHY?) for to provoke them (the JEWS) to jealousy.

For if the casting away from them be THE RECONCILING of the WORLD...what shall be the the RECEIVING of them be...but life from the dead?

Verse 26: And so ALL Israel SHALL BE SAVED

Verse 27: For this is MY COVENANT unto them (Israel) , WHEN I shall take away their sins.

Verse 28: As concerning the gospel (birth, life, death, resurrection of Jesus) They are enemies (now) FOR YOUR SAKES (us).

BUT as touching the election, they are BELOVED for the fathers sakes (plural) Deuteronomy 9:5.

They're OUT now and we are IN. God did that all by Himself. Didn't need any of us to debate the soundness of His Decision. Why indeed should any of us Gentiles shed a tear for 6 million Jews who were murdered? Well, they were on the outs so it's ok?

Is there anybody who will stop a minute and pray a prayer God asked us to do?

    Psalm 122:6, 121:4, 125:5

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (not a suggestion)

God is not willing that any of us perish but that we'd all come to repentance: which means to turn around and walk away from what's holding us back. Backsliding simply means to stand still and go nowhere.

Forgive me for saying this, but there are people coming in here who need help.

TITUS 3:9 But avoid foolish questions, genealogies, and contentions and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

God show us your heart always, and to esteem others with meekness and friendship.

As someone who suffers from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety and for 5 years suffered from Agoraphobia, I want to say that anyone, like Richard who may suffer from these disorders, are NOT what Jesus was referring to in the parable of the 4 seeds.

Someone with anxiety disorder does not lack faith, but is entirely reliant on God even to do small things, that other people find insignificant, ie, answering the phone. Life becomes a cross to carry, that is unique, but is entirely centered on God, and is a sacrifice that is able to be offered to God.

Richard you did not choose your anxiety, but God will help you through it.

The anxiety Jesus was referring to, was anxiety about worldly things, ie what will I wear, eat, drink, how much money can I make, I need friends in high places, etc. These are necessities, and God promises to provide these things, so we do not need to worry about it.

Anxiety disorders are mental illnesses that can be totally unrelated to things of this world. And just because someone is not healed or cured, doesnt show a lack of faith. Otherwise would be say all Christian's who died from cancer lacked faith? Or what about those with type 1 diabetes, should we tell them to stop taking insulin, and if they dont then they lack faith?

    2 Corinthians 12:8-10

"Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, but he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong."

    1 timothy 2:12-14

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression

Paul is saying this because The woman was the first to be deceived. Seams pretty straight to me.
