( Jer. 51:1,2,11) v2 "And will send unto Babylon (fanners), that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about". The word (fanners) is #2114; it means to turn aside (especially for lodging) hence, to be a foreign, strange, profane, to commit adultery (come from) another (man, place).
((foreigners, strangers)) the border?
v11 "the LORD hath (raised) up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his (device) is against Babylon to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple"
The word (raised) is #5782; it means through the idea of ((opening the eyes)), to wake, (a-) wake (-n, up) raise (up) stir up (self). Do people being awake, or stirred up sound like the times we live in today?
The word (device) is #4209; it means a plan, usually evil (machination) (wicked) device, witty invention, lewdness, mischievous (device) thought, wickedly. That would mean there's a evil, wicked plan against this nation, NOW!
Do you see it?
1st Babylon is corrupted by fanners that are sent by God.
Then
( Jer. 50:9) "For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain".
2nd God sends an assembly of great nations against Babylon to destroy her and she shall be taken.
God is in complete control of Babylon falling in the Lastdays, God raises up the spirit of the kings of the Medes whose device is against Babylon to destroy her, God sends the fanners who will be against her in the day of trouble, then God sends the assembly of great nations from the north country whose arrows will be as a mighty expert man, none shall return in vain.
Is the USA mystery Babylon? Is this the present, and the future for this nation?
Many say Yes, but some do say No!
Blessings.
In your hands I lay my spirit Jesus said at the cross, Oho God of Israel rather I fall into your hands rather than the hands of human beings, To whom do your hands belong and what do you have in your hands? Is what we have in our hands that can open the doors, Moses had a rod to open the door to Isreal the promise land, David had a stone to defeat the great gaint threat, Jesus Christ had scars in his hands scar's of the old sin and path to salvation, Feel my scars put your hands in them Thomas and believe it's me, What do you have in those hands that proves your worth in Christ, in his hands he healed many, in those very hands he blessed many, in those hands he changed a many. In our hand's how many have died spiritual and physical? In our hands how many are lost today? Because of the works of our hands how many today can't even come to church? Praise God? Worship him? Are we really appreciating or depreciating the works of God in our hands? Our hand's can't turn water into wine but can turn water into blood, laughter into tears, joy into pain, happiness into misery, love into hate and peace and harmony into chaos and war, turn sanity into confusion, To whom do your hands belong and what do you have in those hands? Are they hand's that opens or closes? Do they build or destroy? Do they carry success of failure? Can they hold or break? It's our hand's built within us and in God we want to understand the Why do they see the opposite, why can't I get it right, is it my hands or me? Is it how I touch or how I push? The hands
"And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb."
Given what happened to Judas, who would be the 12th apostle in this context?
Romans 13:1-7 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
1 Timothy 2:1-3 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Ephesians 6:5-7 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
1 Peter 2:13,14 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
4. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6. If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened"....."If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance".
Don't these people realize that they spit in the face of Jesus and threw away their salvation???? There's no 2nd chance for them. Many false preachers/deceivers are in the world, teaching non-Biblical nonsense. I see billions of people sliding down a greased pole to hell.
I cringe whenever I hear of "Christians" who ditched Jesus in favor of Islam, or any other "religion".
Matthew 17:5
"While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which (God) said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him."
Christians get a bad rap. They are commissioned to spread the Word that only Jesus can save humans from their sins. Christians try to warn others that if they don't repent of their sins and seek Jesus, they will go to hell.
As a Christian (but not a very good one) I'm so sick of the wicked and their in-your-face debauchery. Christians are accused of being controlling, hypocritical and hateful. It's so disheartening and exhausting to try to talk to these people. Should I grieve for anyone who knowingly rejects Jesus and dies in their sins??? I'm sure God and Jesus are broken hearted. Somewhere people got the idea that Hell will be one big party. NOT!
Principles from scripture can essentially be as a prophetic utterance in a general sense. We can be certain to reap what we sow; and the concept of blessings and curses in Deuteronomy; for instance are pretty accurate as to the outcome when one either obeys or disobeys the commandments of God.
As to the eventual outcome and eternal destinies of individuals; and the method and timing of God's response to our actions of course is beyond our scope of understanding. We need also to separate what was Old Testament ceremonial law; as well as the day of the Sabbath as to what is now our standard; that the Son of Man is now Lord of the Sabbath. The general admonitions as to wisdom or lack thereof certainly is relevant to every man alive.
If there is a Word of Knowledge; as I have stated previously it is likely not to be something appealing to the crowds. YOU ARE THE MAN isn't exactly what many want to hear (especially leadership in churches) but if there were more of that it would help to bring back the fear of God which is so often missing today in what is supposed to be the house of God where His Spirit is present. Exhortation; rebuke and the like with the principle that "open rebuke is better than hidden love" is a lost art today it seems; can't remember the last time I saw it applied.
The reason for my preceding paragraphs therefore; is to show that the promises of God don't have any shortcuts; as all good gifts from God must be brought when deemed ready in our lives. Jesus states; for instance that if we can't be trusted with earthly treasure then how can we with heavenly? Today; it seems wisdom is also in large part missing; and that is apparent particularly with those who are seeking to take on leadership roles in churches. Elders should ensure that the sheep are fed and that wolves don't enter in. If we are given what we want such as Saul as a King it is not the way we should want to see our petitions answered.
The KJB ( 1 Samuel. 17:50-51) Tells us David slew the champion Philistine, whose name was Goliath.
( 1 Samuel. 17:4) Tells us the champion Philistines name was Goliath.
David killed Goliath!
Now a look at what is considered to be (sound doctrine)?
( 2 Tim. 4:3-4) The word (sound) is #5198; it means to be uncorrupt, (true in doctrine)
The word (doctrine) is #1319; it means instruction (the function or the information) doctrine, learning, teaching.
((sound doctrine)) is the instruction we get from the Bible we learn from or teach from. (sound doctrine) is uncorrupt, it is ((TRUE IN DOCTRINE))
Now we look at a few different versions to see which are (TRUE IN DOCTRINE)
1st the KJB ( 2 Samuel. 21:19) It tells us "Elhanan the son of Jaareorigim, a Bethlehemite, ((slew the brother)) of Goliath the Gittite.
Here's the same verse in the several different versions!
2nd Nasb says "Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
3rd LSB says "Elhanan struck down Goliath the Gittite" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
4th Amplified Bible says "Elhanan killed Goliath the Gittite" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
5th Christian Standard Bible says "Elhanan killed Goliath the Gittite" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
6th ASV says "Elhanan slew Goliath the Gittite" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
7th Good News Translation says "Elhanan killed Goliath from Gath" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
8th New American Bible says "Elhanan killed Goliath from Gath" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
9th Niv says "Elhanan killed Goliath the Gittite" CORRUPT. Not sound doctrine!
Here we have 8 different versions that say Elhanan killed Goliath, Did Elhanan kill Goliath or did David kill Goliath?
If they are not TRUE IN DOCTRINE that makes all of them CORRUPT!
( Jer. 23:36) The word (perverted) is #2015; it means to change.
All modern versions have changed the Words of the living God which is another verse showing them to be corrupt.
This chapter starts out with the account of Miriam and Aaron murmuring against Moses. It seems that they spoke against the fact that Moses had married a woman. (Ethiopian) It is unclear if this is speaking of Zipporah, the Midianite woman Moses wed while in Midian after fleeing from Pharoah or of another wife Moses may have married while in Pharoah's court or perhaps from among the mixed multitude that came with the Israelites out of Egypt. So it is unclear if this passage is referring to Zipporah or to another wife of Moses. Either way, Miriam and Aaron murmured among the people concerning this wife. They did not come straight to Moses with their complaint, but spoke behind his back about this foreign wife. We do not know what the complaint about this wife entailed. Was it because she was a foreign wife or because Moses was influenced by this wife or was it something about this wife's personality that Miriam and Aaron had difficulty with. We don't know the details.
Also, Miriam and Aaron questioned if God only spoke through Moses but also by them. Were they jealous of Moses' special standing with God? Were they desirous of having such a close relationship with God as Moses had? The text does not make it very clear. However God was aware of their murmuring and called Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to the entrance to the tent of meeting. Did they think that God would not be aware of what they were speaking and thinking concerning Moses? They were going to soon find out.
When they came to the entrance, the presence of the Lord appeared and God confronted Miriam and Aaron about their sin. Addressing Miriam and Aaron, the Lord tells them that He chooses the prophet among them (who was Moses) and will make Himself know to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream (vs. 6)
Verse 7 says that Moses is not called in such ways, because Moses is faithful and God speaks with Moses as one would speak to another face to face.. continued
In ( 1 Cor. 1:2) Tells us "Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are (sanctified) in Christ Jesus, (called) (to be saints), with all that in every place ((call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord))". The word (sanctified) is #37; it means to make holy, purify or consecrate (mentally) to venerate, hallow, be holy.
Th word (called) is #2822; it means invited, i.e. appointed, or (specifically) a saint, invitation, calling.
The word (saints) is #40; it means sacred, physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonial consecrated (most) holy, clean, innocent.
( Acts. 9:11-15) v13 Tells us "Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done ((to thy saints)) at Jerusalem". Who had Saul been doing much evil, persecuting and even having them to be put to death at Jerusalem? TRUE BELIEVERS in Jesus Christ.
v14 Tells us "And here he had authority from the chief priests to bind ((all that call on thy name))". (All who called on the name of Jesus Christ were the saints). That was All True Believers.
( Acts. 26:10) Tells us "Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of ((the saints)) did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them". The ones who Saul was having put to death were the True Believers in Jesus Christ, THE SAINTS.
The word (saints) is in the New Testament 60 times, 13 of those are in the book of Revelation. All 60 have the same meaning in the Greek Language.
No difference in any of them, ALL 60 have THE SAME MEANING in the Greek Language.
Being a True Believer in Jesus Christ is what made one a saint during the time period that Saul was executing them.
(The first Christians)
Being a True Believer in Jesus Christ is what makes one a saint today, also those saints in the book of Revelation are True Believers in Jesus Christ.
Blessing to all.
Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
If one is not barring fruit and you are not sure by his doctrine he's probably a worker of the flesh.
You will notice the absence of "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance in him.
FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT AND WORKS OF THE FLESH.
See; Galatians 5:19-21.
Here's a few of the Characteristics I picked out of the list that has similar properties of one lacking the Spirit.
* Variance = contention debate strife variance.
* Strife = Contentious.
* Sedition = division sedition, "Perhaps one who brings an uproar with the intent to divide against.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST HERESIES.
( Probably is the cause of the previous three mentioned.)
*Heresies = properly a choice that is (specifically) a party or (abstractly) disunion . (heresy is the Greek word itself.) the formal denial or doubt of a core doctrine of the Christian faith as defined by one or more of the Christian churches.
If we bring such accusation as this on someone do we thrive with such a person?
Here's a few principle scriptures.
Titus 3:9-11.
2 Peter 1:10.
Galatians 1:8-9.
God bless.
Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
Jonah 3:4-10
Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. For the word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
Ezekiel 36:24-31
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes
I was wondering if anyone on this forum has dealt with this same thing and ask that you share how God helped you to overcome this feeling of being tempted to give in to faithlessness and hopelessness.
For me it comes down to what Peter said in John 6:68 "To whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life."
This tells us that when we are at the edge of turning from God we can realize that there is no other hope but Him and His saving work and words. This realization helped me to pt my trust in God, hoping against hope that He is all that He revealed Himslef to be and alone can save and satisfy.
Thank you.
