  • Clarice on Romans 6 - 6 years ago
Just thinking of the passage that says to yield our members as instruments of righteousness. That as we are tempted to sin, to consider how we are using our " member", is it for righteousness, yielded unto God? Say our tongue, if we are tempted to lie or gossip, that we would be reminded to yield at that point to righteousness and to not use that member of our body as an instrument of sin.
  • Laurie L. Lee on Genesis 6 - 6 years ago
In Genesis 1: 26-28 I'm taking these verses as God made these people knowing what was going to happen in the Garden of Eden. These people that God made never knew about the Garden of Eden either. Cain said that he would be killed by everyone. So if it's just Adam, Eve and Cain how could everyone kill him? The Garden of Eden was just for Adam and his family.

  • Sharon on Lamentations 3 - 6 years ago
Everyone want the blessings, but nobody wants the pain. Trial, and tribulation, bring us the greatest joy we will ever know. Temptation will bless us with the crown of life. What the enemy mean for evil God cause us to receive exceedingly great Joy. Jeremiah had to endure, but it was the faith of Jeremiah that please God, and allow Jeremiah to continue in God. What is God receiving from from you?
  • Sharon on Lamentations 2 - 6 years ago
How much should God tolerate? How much can we tolerate in sin. If earthly parents can punish their children, why should God not punish us. God changes not from the begiing to end, Men are always changing and no rules of man can overide God word. God gave us His best. Jesus paid the price for our sins, but it seem as if many people desire desire change back for the price Jesus paid for our sins.
  • I Am that Michael Isaac Dale on 1 John 5 - 6 years ago
Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding? The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
  • Obbie Beal on Matthew 19 - 6 years ago

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (notice 18

Those who overcome will not have their names blotted out of the book of life ( Rev. 3:5)

The Christian who is in Christ has overcome through his faith in Christ ( 1 John 5:4-5: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?).
  • Kevin LaMonica on Psalms 69 - 6 years ago
2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Psalms 51:11: Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

    Does a Christian ever have to pray this in light of John 14:16? And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

  • Stanjett on Genesis 5 - 6 years ago
Methuselh did live the longest (969 years)at that time but who was the next to live longest? It was Methuselhs granddaddy, Jared who only live 7 years less than his grandson.(962 years) Man, they lived a long time back then. I think if my math is right Methuselh was alive at the time of the flood or died in the same year of the flood right before it.

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Eastward from where? Some say Africa but Africa would be south of Eden. On old maps of the Holy Land, it has a Eden(not sure if its the same). If its the same Eden it is eastward from the Holy Land.
  • Stanjett on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
Why didn't God stop here, at the end of chapter 1 of Genesis? Well, maybe after He created Eve in the next chapter. There was no killings, we had plenty to eat and peace. Animals didn't eat man or each other and we didn't eat them or harm them. Animals and Adam ate vegetables and fruit. It was truely a Garden of Eden and a paradise.
  • Kevin LaMonica on Psalms 69 - 6 years ago

11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? (Leaven as used here is powerful and deadly, it is similar to a individual -radical cancer cell; it always multiply itself by millions, spreading itself until it consume a person's body and mind; it is everywhere including air
  • David on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 6 years ago
One of the most controversial scriptures in the New Testament. As a volunteer media person working for Hal Lindsey this verse was the most quoted to support the "Rapture". I have learned since the rapture is a false teaching. This verse clearly stating the Jesus's second coming and nothing else. If you do a word study of the Latin word of rapture, you find it's true meaning is synonymous with "Levitate". Protestants are praying for levitation?? Another Pastor asked me before I repented about buying into the rapture logic, "You believe in the 2.5 returns of Jesus?" ... uh no. ... "As in the Noah, shall be the second of man." Life on earth before "God sealed the Ark" was pretty horrific. Do we really think we will be conveniently raptured levitated out. False teaching.
  • Bob on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 6 years ago

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
I would like to have a footstool that he made. I'm sure he made great wood works. Er, He also made the world and all that is in it.

  • Billy B. on Psalms 83 - 6 years ago
Will - is what the bible gives as God's name Yolanda's fault? If that scripture had said that his name was 'Joe' or 'Bob', I'm sure it would still be exciting to Yolanda and others to find out what he says his own name is.
  • Doyinsola on Esther 8 - 6 years ago
Esther was a purposeful and focused woman. She was privileged by divine favor to become a queen during her time and she did not disappoint God even at the expense of her own life. Thus, she was honored having a portion in the Bible we are reading today. We are where we are in order to fulfill God's purpose. Remember, you are already writing a book now. Will it edify like Esther?
  • Sharon Dutchak on Luke 19 - 6 years ago
Maryanne. This is a parable which is a earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Jesus is saying everyone is given one life. What are we doing with it? Are we keeping it to ourselves - in which case we gain nothing- or are we living for God and gaining spiritual rewards. It has nothing to do with men killing men
