  • Just a thought on Psalms 123 - 7 years ago
I once went to a very nice restaurant and the waiter for our table never missed anything. If our glass was low he was already refilling without a word spoken. How? In a discreet place nearby he stood intently observing us and our table. He knew (as in vs. 2) us well enough to the point that he could see that subtle 'signal of the hand.' Are our "our eyes wait[ing] upon the LORD our God" like him?

  • Donnie on Revelation 1 - 7 years ago
The talk of the sabbath in the comments is well intentioned but incorrect. Jesus' first coming replaced the singular sabbath day with a daily sabbath. He taught that we are to hold his truths each day of the week. We are called beyond laws written for a people who were yet to receive Christ. For what is more, Christ and His teachings or a day of devotion? His death and resurrection replaced deeds.
  • Sheba on Matthew 7 - 7 years ago
Turn your eyes inward and look deep inside yourself. Are you doing the will of God? Are you living according to God's commandments? Follow the golden rule, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Jesus said the second commandment is to Love one another. On this hangs all the law. It takes godly wisdom to know how we are to live righteously and sin no more.
  • Sally fajardo on Matthew 4 - 7 years ago
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the fle

  • Vanessa on Matthew 24 - 7 years ago

  • I AM THAT I AM on Matthew 4 - 7 years ago
O Satan, thou devil of devils: you fail yet again in your vain attempts to deceive the Son of God, even this Christ child, into not knowing himself. Know ye not my Holy Father gives not the Spirit by measure unto him? It is written, If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

So? Just 'who' is 5:19 referring to? I ask this question of course thinking we may have
different perspectives on 'who'? And I will tell you up front, lest you believe I am contentious in spirit: as I am just looking for truth. But I believe the 'who' is not Adam who was disobedient but Moses! Who else can take people -mislead them for 40 years -on what we know today as a'11 day' faith journey!
  • Levi on Judges 15 - 7 years ago
Wait... so God gives Samson the power to murder 1,030 people in this chapter and chapter 14 (somehow committing 1,000 of which by bludgeoning people with the skull of a donkey), then rewards him with water immediately after to stop him from dying of thirst? None of these people were even involved in the thing Samson is trying to "avenge", yet the God who commands "Thou shalt not kill" condones it
  • Seth on Genesis 3 - 7 years ago
    The only thing I dont understand is;
When we were created we were given free will which set us above animals and angels etc.
Then because of that free will we disobeyed. Eating the fruit gave us knowledge of good and evil. But we are not on the same level as God, which is what the tree was meant to do. So what "gifts" did the tree give us, that wasnt already provided by free will??

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. WOW! WOW! WOW!
  • Obbie Beal on Isaiah 21 - 7 years ago
GOD; who is the creator of the heavens and earth has spoken / declared it (at this point in time); Why has HE spoken / declared it? Because of the sins / sinful people that will not 'rightly adhere' to GOD's words, especially when they create their own gods / idols from silver, gold, money, whoring for 'this' and 'that'. So sinful people / nations boldly force their CREATOR to release HIS wrath.
