  • A disciple on Luke 9 - 8 years ago
Wayne, Thank you. That's simply false! "I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid..God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew." Just now He hides His face from them because they have deeply revolted from Him. Christians are GRAFTED INTO the Commonwealth of Israel and are permitted and welcomed because of Jesus' shed blood on the cross. The gifts and calling of God are eternal!
  • Sheena Vallett on Deuteronomy 18 - 8 years ago
verse 22 of this chapter, thou shalt not be afraid of who, God or the Prophet?
  • A disciple on Luke 9 - 8 years ago
Hi Wayne; Sorry to interrupt in the conversation; but what is, "replacement theology?"
  • Arley3 on John 8 - 8 years ago
Two men? God is a Spirit. - John 4:24
  • A disciple on Hebrews 9 - 8 years ago
Louis (cont.); In the world of the beginning, what was it that caused the whole world to be corrupted and filled with violence and utterly WORTHLESS; so that ALL that God could do was to destroy everyone and everything, and start over with Noah and his sons? It was the sons of God the ones who HAD the knowledge of God and hardened their hearts and turned away from His Spirit of the Law and Christ!
  • Wayne on Luke 9 - 8 years ago
Alex, are u for replacement theology or not? Couldn't tell by yor statement.
  • A disciple on Psalms 119 - 8 years ago
Puwahmah; I try to understand, you talk about being honest as a Christian, both toward God and men? This is the very heart of walking in truth in Christ in love out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith without Stage-Playing! We have to keep our hearts and minds under strict discipline against wicked and unclean thoughts and desires: we do this by staying close to Jesus and not sinning.
  • A disciple on Hebrews 9 - 8 years ago
Louis; Could you please explain in your own words, and your own understanding, how it is impossible to keep the Law and be a Christian at the same time? Interestingly, the Lord Himself said that the Law and the Prophets wouldn't pass even up to as far as if the heaven and earth passed away! And since when does someone who completes his schooling then have to condemn and forsake all he's learned?
  • Eric on 2 Chronicles 9 - 8 years ago
It is amazing to me that one of such wisdom could be so foolish. I do not want to speculate on why he did what he did, but it seems evident to me that he was not wise enough to read God's word daily. For if he had, he would have read that God had said NOT to bring in an over abundance of gold, and NOT to buy horses from Egypt. And, isn't it interesting that the amount of gold brought in was 666?
  • A disciple on Psalms 127 - 8 years ago
"Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep." Why are we anxious? and why do we think about the things that God has the care of concerning us? Our work is to believe in Jesus and follow Him!
  • Dustin on Daniel 7 - 8 years ago
The mingling is of the fallen angels with women, just as in the days of Noah. Remember when Jesus said in Matthew 24 that as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be? What went on in the time of Noah? Genesis 6:2 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose."
  • A disciple on Hosea 7 - 8 years ago
"They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt." So much painstaking labor and care has gone into preparing for a good and solid foundation in Christ, and building it up with skill and understanding! Why then, at the day we're in, is so little fruit showing?
  • A disciple on 1 Kings 8 - 8 years ago
BSP; I remember during the 80's there was a Bumper Sticker that a lot of church people had on their cars: it read, Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven! Not only me, but all my real Christian brothers and sisters agreed, that that was a terrible witness, and completely misrepresents Jesus and our salvation! Jesus said, BE PERFECT EVEN AS YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN IS PERFECT! So what is your point?
  • Kevin on John 3 - 8 years ago
Am I to understand that even if I truly believe Jesus died for my sins(which I do) that I will not go to Heaven unless I'm baptized?
  • A disciple on 2 Timothy 1 - 8 years ago
"..according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus.." We have all read the story of the Beginning many times. Have you wondered then why Adam and the woman were NOT killed outright for their disregard, disrespect, and DISOBEDIENCE; as the LORD warned them of; saying that "In the day you eat thereof, you shall surely die?" Mercy promised through Christ coming let them live and go free.
  • A disciple on Judges 2 - 8 years ago
"Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges..yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods.." Christians, do you not remember how hard it was because of your sins, for you to finally be humbled and broken enough, to come to repentance and a sincere and thorough conversion? The ungodly despise and reject Jesus so they can keep sinning and live however they wish.
  • Bruce on Proverbs 4 - 8 years ago
Debra: Where in The Bible does it say The Holy Spirit is our mother? Blasphemy against The Holy Ghost is never Forgiving: Mark 3:29
  • Servant of the Living God on Matthew 22 - 8 years ago
Does any here understand? Those who were bidden to the wedding were they not evangelicals who could come because they were busy with politics. He without the proper garment was a wolf in sheep clothing. Many are called but those who sanctimoniously claimed to be saved will be outside the gate gnashing their teeth. Woe to those who seek to keep the poor and disenfranchised without a voice. Woe
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 6 - 8 years ago
"But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness." Some may wonder why the Apostles gave so much in depth study to the workings of evil in men who oppose the truth; and so do they seek to stifle that same Spirit of understanding in the disciples today, thinking that it might be considered disrespectful. Do we please men or God?
  • S green on John 5 - 8 years ago
John, that's great that you love reading Gods Word. Understandeth what thou readest?
    Read Acts 8:30-38
May God richly bless you if you obey his commands.
  • A disciple on Genesis 6 - 8 years ago
Gigi; "who were those giants?" Well, I've never found a completely satisfying answer to that, other than the Word itself just on its face. I think we have to assume they were freakishly large men, or "man-like" creatures. One great error however about them comes from MIS-reading the verse around it; which many think says that the giants were the offspring of the sons of God marrying unsaved women.
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 8 years ago
"Speaking lies in hypocrisy having their conscience seared with a hot iron;" What makes us poor in spirit, meek, mournful, hungering and thirsting after righteousness, merciful, pure in heart, peacemakers, persecuted for righteousness' sake? Having a tender heart and a good conscience in a world that idolizes defiance and fornication and hardness of heart! The words of the wise are heard in quiet!
  • A disciple on 1 Timothy 4 - 8 years ago
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils" When the disciples asked Jesus, When shall these things be, and what the sign of thy coming and the end of the world? He first answered, "Take heed that no one mislead you, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ." Spurious Christians!
  • Gigi Maher on Genesis 6 - 8 years ago
    who were those giants??
"That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose .... There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown"
  • Penni Carter on Matthew 12 - 8 years ago
It is so easy to get comfortable in idle chatter, but how can we say that we are good and love the Lord? God sees and hears what comes out of our mouths, and out of the abundance of our heart our mouth speaks. We are nothing but filthy rags just idly saying nothing about nothing. Although we may speak quietly where we think no one else can hear, God does! I know our world must repent for idle talk
  • Patricia Helton on Revelation 17 - 8 years ago
Why is a female referred to lucifer is it something to the fact that eve was tempted to eat the forbiden fruit in Genesis in the midst of the garden one tree the knowledge of good and evil she did eat and gave to adam?
  • A disciple on Genesis 18 - 8 years ago
Dear Jonathan; Why do you not spell out the word God? He is not offended or challenged by our unworthiness; but He rather loves us and seeks to save us! ( John 3:16-17) There is a prophecy in Amos about the disobedient Jews at one point being no longer allowed to mention the LORD's Name; but it is not for us who believe and love the Name of our God and Saviour! What are your thoughts? Please write!
  • TruthSeeker on Revelation 17 - 8 years ago
Who is Mystery Babylon the Great? Why does God use a feminine image? there is a good reason for that; Because the feminine archetype comes from LUCIFER.

Remember God is not the author of confusion, meaning in this context, God does not choose such an image for merely no reason. Lucifer is FEMALE, not male.

  • Joanne stern on 1 Corinthians 13 - 8 years ago
I love these verses. God looks at our hearts. Not what we do, but why do we do it. Are we wanting to be center stage or do we want to praise and glorify GOD?
  • A disciple on Daniel 9 - 8 years ago
False prophets seek their own glory, and have not heard the Lord's voice at all; but speak out of the worthless imagination of their own hearts. Should we then be afraid of them or their words? I suppose not! Everyone who has tried to say they know something which the Lord Himself said "It is not given for you to know!" is a liar seeking only for men to worship HIMSELF, and works against the LORD!
