Emanuel; what is there to defend? I just think very strongly that we should not not let ourselves be drawn into the same idle interests as those of the world who don't know any better. "Little children, keep yourselves from idols." The Lord has called us and sanctified us to be His witnesses, to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, that the Holy Spirit in us should convict men.

He made his angles spirits and his ministers flames of fire. Are your ministets truth tellers or fund raisers? Do you long for righteosness or pretend your already saved. I wrote another post, about the topic of whether God cares about the Super Bowl, but it wasn't put up. I know, and we all know, that there are MULTITUDES of Christians who have no problem with watching sports and enjoying recreation and leisure activities. But when is it too much, and ungodly, and something unbecoming of a Saint? As Christians we are NOT OF THE WORLD, and must be separate from it!

In James God doesn't tempt man then why did he tempt Abraham?
Tempt in kjv means to entice but it also means to put into a trial. Clarification is need

Emanuel (cont.); I have seen it everywhere that there is not even a wince of conscience among most Christians about following sports. Why doesn't it seem to bother any of them about the permeating ungodliness and easy uncleanness that surrounds that whole business; but they sit there stupidly watching, and carry on their empty talk with neighbors and coworkers, as if it is some neutral area?

A lot of attention on Tithing and Offering; but what did Jesus really ever say about it? Tithing in the old times could be done by supporting the Ministers of the LORD according to however God has prospered you; or by supporting the poor, the widow, the orphan, and the Levite within your gates. At harvest time, at Payday; how you do is your business! Only NEVER AS PAYMENT for Church membership!

SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU means just that! If it no longer has dominion then why would we break under the pressure of temptation? WE DON'T! We speak the Scriptures like Jesus did, and stand tough, and do not sin! If its an allurement of the flesh, CLOSE YOUR EYES, LOOK THE OTHER WAY, DO SOMETHING TO RESIST THE DEVIL! Anthony; who told you that you sin every day? Are you really still sinning? Didn't you repent? Aren't you a thoroughly converted Born From Above New Creature in Christ? The blood of Jesus was shed for us to be completely set free from the power of sin over us, as well as our reconciliation and forgiveness. There are reasons for repeatedly falling into sin. It is an unclean spirit and disobedience.

Emanuel; I would like to remind you of the LORD's forgiveness of David, and Jonah, and Hezekiah. The whole ministry of the sons of Aaron was to mediate between God and the people for their atonement and cleansing and acceptance (forgiveness), so they could be blessed. In Ezekiel also the LORD said that when someone truly repents, God wouldn't mention the man's sins anymore. Isn't that forgiveness?

Trying of your faith worketh patience (fruit of the spirit) it also builds faith trials of your faith is precious but it must be tried with fire so the Lord can use you. Why? Without faith it's IMPOSSIBLE to please him

This is a big misconception NO SIN WAS FORGIVEN IN OT ONLY COVERED. If they were why weren't old testament saints in heaven?
They we're in Abraham's bosom that's where Chris was for three days. After Christ died NOW SINS ARE FORGIVEN NOT COVERED.

I just read the social media comments for Roman 6:14, and one sentence stated that, "He who is of born of God does not sin." But in 1John 1:8, if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Can you explain this to me? Because, I am a confirmed believer. And, I sin everyday. Just curious, from verse 4, should we be giving tithes every three years or as often as there is a 'harvest'?

Ann:The old covenant forgave sin (Leviticus everywhere). Not only did it forgive sin...but it cleansed the flesh from sin for (get this) a whole year! How come Jesus came and went and we aren't clean for a day??? You know that can't be right. The New Covenant is "Remission" of sin. We are to learn of GOD. That means we should, with all our getting...get an understanding. The word or GOD is both old and new testaments. We are to study and rightly divide it. Even with that, there is order. How can we hear without a preacher, how can he preach except he be sent? When you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, it will lead and guide you unto ALL truth! Always follow the word of GOD

Elijah; very interesting information, but how useful for the simple? I too like to learn facts and history, but at a certain point you're gonna bore your audience a hole in the toe! We should use knowledge to expound and amplify spiritual knowledge that brings people to really know the Lord. All else seems to only want to glorify the one talking, because no one else is listening anymore. Write me!

Yvonne; The Lord DOES want us to know all things and to fully understand His plans. How do we believe in something if we don't understand it? The Bible is a big Book full of knowledge and understanding and everything we need to learn from Him about life, the world, and all we are set to encounter until we're finished with this present existence. The Bible is full of Spirit-inspired prayers for us.

"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." Proverbs 20:13 "Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread." How were the Israelites fed in the wilderness forty years? Yet with all the miracles and hearing God's voice from heaven, all they could say about the Bread from heaven, "What is it?" Wake up, and KEEP AWAKE!

I think that the answer to the question is wrong. It does not give all three. It is by enduring tribulations that we learn the value of dealing with trials patiently, and by doing thus, we gain experience. Through these experiences we see our reason for hope in God. Praise the Lord for His mercy.
