Ezekiel 13 (cont.); "Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?" Jesus said that when we shall be brought before Governors and Kings to testify the Word of God to them; and when all men are hating and persecuting us; many shall be scandalized and betray one another. These are the ones who are still sinning and expecting fantasies.
  • A disciple on Ezekiel 13 - 8 years ago
"Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered mortar: say unto them which daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it." Still sinning? NO PEACE! False hopes! End in ruin!

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." The Apostle doesn't spend a lot of time focusing on the "sufferings," but simply categorizes them as, "of this present time " and specifically points to our being freed from their bondage by the power of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Now we should take heed to this as a grave warning also from the Lord. What happened to the sons of God in the world of the beginning, that they were hardened against the Spirit of the LORD? The same things at work today to wear us down also and seek to turn us away from Jesus. Look at the News look at the world around us every day look at all the terrible enemies and blasphemers look at all those things tempting and contradicting and it is overwhelming! But LOOK UNTO JESUS, and be victorious over all, and overcomers of all!
  • A disciple on Deuteronomy 33 - 8 years ago
Have you noticed also in Revelation 7, Dan is not mentioned? Is it an indication of some that are not going to make it?
  • A disciple on 2 Corinthians 2 - 8 years ago
The vessels of the Lord must be clean and holy. All HAVE sinned; but all do not continue in sins! "Neither do I condemn you; go, and SIN NO MORE!" If a leader in the congregation sins, rebuke them before all, that others may fear; is the commandment. What is the reason for the sinning one not giving up the position as a leader? How did they fall? How did no one see it coming or were afraid to say?

Hi Steve, Are you suggesting that who keeps the Ten Commandments but not the Ceremonial Laws is under CURSE? You need to know the difference between the two. 1Jn 3:4 says Sin is the transgression of the Law. If there is no Law there's no SIN, if there's no sin there's no need for GRACE; and consequently, no need of CHRIST and His forgiveness. IF YE LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS: Jesus ( Jn. 14:15)
  • Doris McIntosh on James 1 - 8 years ago
"keep himself unspotted from the world". Does this not mean that we should not participate in or condone things of the world that we know is sin? People too often say it is just changing times.
"Be not conformed to this world but rather by the renewing of your mind...". I agree that it is very clear James should be applied to every day living.
  • Carolyn on Numbers 28 - 8 years ago
The sabbath day is not Sunday it's Saturday. Am I correct?
  • Linda on 1 Corinthians 15 - 8 years ago
Its a Lot to digest, then I thought after I thought that, that it makes sense because we are being fed the Word of God when we read the Word. What do you think? Anyone? This Chapter says so much. Paul had a conversion to Jesus like many have not experienced as far as we know. I love that we shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of and eye. I am so thankful for Jesus. Thank the Lord!

Steve, Thanks for your comments! Today, most of man’s diseases are the result of bad diet and lifestyle. You can hardly breathe when you’re sick of TB, cancer, diabetes, etc. So, how can you have peace and joy? How convenient to leave out 1Tim 4:5 FOR IT IS SANCTIFIED BY THE WORD OF GOD AND PRAYER. When did God sanctify the pig and the rat? On the cross? See Is. 66:17 Doesn't God care what I eat?
  • A disciple on Ephesians 6 - 8 years ago
Wayne; I think we tried to help you with this before! Paul is not your Saviour! Paul didn't invent the Glad Tidings of Christ; nor was he teaching anything that wasn't before already in the words of the Prophets. Why do you hang on something that causes worthless arguments? Read in Corinthians what Paul himself says about those who put too much on being his disciples: God is the Saviour and Lord!
  • A disciple on Amos 5 - 8 years ago
Steve; You asked, "HOW DO WE KNOW?" By using discernment! So much careful defending of the unholy and lawless these days; the righteous falling all over themselves to treat everyone like equals, and act as if they don't see anything filthy or perverted in their "chosen" lifestyle! The verse you shared is for us not to let hypocrisy give them opportunity to blaspheme the Lord and tear us to pieces.
  • Kevin on Numbers 25 - 8 years ago
I'm listening to Christian radio and the woman there is speaking of this chapter. Her interpretation is simply that "Sin must be dealt with." What do you think? Is this an accurate assessment?
  • Sisterdjj on 1 Corinthians 14 - 8 years ago
Verse 34:14 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law." I have read a modern translation saying "silent during church meetings". Does this mean the worship service or what? As a woman who has been called by God to evangelize preach, this verse has always offered me some confusion.
  • Preacher Charlie Chandler on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 8 years ago
O full of all subtlety and all mischief ,thou child of the devil ,thou enemy of all righteousness, will thou not cease to pervert the right way of the Lord?Acts13:10
  • A disciple on 1 Thessalonians 5 - 8 years ago
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 I strongly advise everyone to read the Psalms carefully and prayerfully in order to realize and to understand that bearing up under tribulation, persecution, opposition and contradiction from the ungodly, is not wrath from God but A TOKEN OF THE GRACE OF GOD AND HIS SPIRIT ABIDING IN YOU! If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you ARE NOT OF THE WORLD, but the Lord Jesus Christ has severed you from other people that you should be His therefore the world hates you, as it hated Jesus before you. Our appointed portion in this life, is to be transformed into the image and likeness of God our Saviour, and in doing so, to bear up cheerfully under the sufferings of Christ while we await His return! Study the history of the Church, and you'll see that this has been the way of all Jesus' people in every age. Why should we the last generation before His coming want to have it any different from all our brothers and sisters who went before us? Don't be misled by the earthly-minded self-life serving errors of the ungodly! Be strong and persevere, be resilient and stand true and faithful to the end and Jesus will give us the crown of life.
  • Peter A. Okebukola on 1 Corinthians 15 - 8 years ago
Note the mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
  • Cynthia heft on Psalms 62 - 8 years ago
I didnt received my verse of the day?
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
However Jeff, the Word of God is not for us to put whatever meaning we want on it. Otherwise He would just be speaking into the air! Didn't the LORD speak clearly many times questioning the teachers of Israel; Have you not read? Have you never read? and, You are the teacher of Israel, and these things you know not? If He doesn't use words easy to understand what can He expect for a right response?
  • Julee Hodge on Ezekiel 1 - 8 years ago
What's happening here sounds so much like REVELATIONS! ... Does it not?
  • Randy on 2 John 1 - 8 years ago
Hey Walter...may the Good Lord bless you! I think it means Jesus put to death sin in the flesh for us. So if Jesus took away all of our fleshly sins, all that's left is to believe we are not sinners anymore because of Him. Isn't that believing Him fully?
  • Thomas showalter - 8 years ago
Anybody know wat Hebrews 12:16 .means?
  • A disciple on Psalms 2 - 8 years ago
Mild Bill; Amen Brother. And what is it that they so furiously rage against, and have their vain imagination? "..Against the LORD, and against His Anointed - Christ." It filled up in their slanders and accusations and lies; its filled up in their movies and music; its filled up in every thought of their hearts and expression: "NO GOD!" and "NO ONE TELLING ME ANYTHING!" O COME LORD JESUS! ITS TIME!
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
Stephen; How did we all miss that part? Now I read the Bible, and it says God created the heavens and the earth in six days, and rested the seventh day and sanctified it. Chapter 2 is a further expounding of the beginning of man. If we cannot speak and command anything into existence, that's because WE ARE NOT GOD! Why do the heathen rage and the people imagine a vain thing? His NAME is I AM!
  • A disciple on Hebrews 6 - 8 years ago
NO Jim! Once saved, AFTERWARDS DESTROYED FOR UNBELIEF! Not once saved always saved: for then we could do what we want, live scandalous, selfish, filthy unclean lives, an abhorrence to God and man; "But we're Christians!" How does anyone NOT understand that? The evil tree which produces rotten fruit IS CUT DOWN AND THROWN INTO THE FIRE! "Then truly by their fruits you shall know them."
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
Dear Jeff; How are you? Nice to see you posting again. I like the way you brought that out about how God created. Many have had funny ideas about the meaning of "void and without form, and darkness upon the face of the deep;" but I agree with you that it simply but profoundly means He created everything out of nothing! Oh how great is our God! And His divine knowledge and understanding and power!
  • A disciple on Psalms 62 - 8 years ago
"My soul, wait thou only upon God for my expectation is from him." Psalms 62:5 "And the Ziphites came unto Saul to Gibeah, saying, Doth not David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon?" 1 Samuel 26:1 By God's grace we are kept from sinning, and our feet walking straight and even through this world, according to our integrity that is in us. So what then must be said about all those who have no qualms with sinning and following the crowds to evil and of ourselves as well when we went astray? The days are turning into a fiery oven to try our souls, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. Now comes the time when we will be put to the test concerning our love and faithfulness toward the Lord Jesus, and our reflecting His love and grace toward those who betray us and do us wrong. "Watch, Stay Awake! and Pray that you may be able to escape these things that are coming on the earth, and to stand before the Son of man."
  • I AM on Psalms 62 - 8 years ago
Why tempt me ye hypocrites? You know that I AM here as every spirit knows that Christ is come in the flesh! My children, These standing in their White House honor me with their lips but their heart is far from me. The devil sitting in the midst of his antichrists which crucified me. Weak and fearful are they now: and cast down without power. Be thankful beloved children for your salvation is here!
  • A disciple on Luke 23 - 8 years ago
"For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?" When Jesus warned His enemies that their hatred and hostility that they were spreading among the people was blasphemy of the Spirit that would never be forgiven; or when they stirred up the crowds to violence and demanding Jesus' crucifixion; did any of them feel sorry or change their wicked minds in the centuries since?
  • A disciple on Proverbs 27 - 8 years ago
"Though you should grind a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him." While the good and righteous want to give every opportunity to the evildoers to clear themselves; at some point the wicked must be judged for their crimes? So long as the lawless are allowed to continue unrestrained, so long will they not change. Kindness is to them, a weakness!
