Why could that not stone Christ; being unlawful, but they could stone Stephen?

They were under Roman rule when both these events took place.

He was talking to his generation, Jesus was talking about after the resurrection, like the day of Pentecost. 2000 years ago Jesus has been coming to everyone that invites Him into their lives.

Jesus is coming to you as the Comforter, as the Holy Spirit. He was God in the flesh, an individual to be the perfect sacrifice for sin on the cross, and then come back in spirit form to dwell in you! You are God's (Dwelling Place in Greek for mansion) You are the temple that he's building. Read these scriptures again

Don't separate Jesus from God or the Holy Spirit, they are one spirit and he is risen in you! So stop waiting for Jesus, stop waiting for heaven, Heaven is spirit! what is spirit? Why did god say that the leivits was his people in deuteronomy

Jesus said "I will come again, and receive you unto myself" ( Jn. 14:1-3) v2 Jesus tells us "I go to prepare a place for you" v3 Jesus tells us "I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that ((where I am, there ye may be also)) Jesus said where He is there we will be also. In ( Mt. 24:29-31) v30 Tells us "and they shall see the Son of man ((coming in the clouds)) of heaven with power and great glory. (Where is Jesus in these verses? (COMING IN THE CLOUDS!) v31 Tells us "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall (gather together his elect) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (We are gathered together to meet our Lord in the air, in the clouds) In ( 1 Thess. 4:15-17) v15 Speaks of the coming of the Lord. v16 Tells us "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout" this verse does not say Jesus comes to the earth, it says He descends from heaven. v17 Tells us where He is! "Then we which are alive and remain shall ((be caught up together with them in the clouds)) ((to meet the Lord in the air)) We meet Jesus in the air, in the clouds. Remember ( Jn. 14:3) "that where I am, there ye may be also" We meet Him in the clouds. ( Mt. 24:40-41) v40 Tells us "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be (taken), and the other left. The word (taken) is #3880; it means to receive near, associate with oneself (in an fimiliar or intimate act or relation) to assume an office, receive, take (unto, with) Remember ( Jn. 14:3) Jesus said "I will come again, AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF" that where I am, there ye may be also" (IN THE CLOUDS). If we read the return of Christ riding a white horse in ( Rev. 19:11-16) We see He returns from heaven ((to the earth)) to rule the nations with a rod of iron. ((He returns to the earth))! Coming in the clouds is to gather together His elect, the church, His bride to be taken to the marriage supper of the Lamb. These are 2 very different events. Truth matters. Blessings

Reading through Matthew Chapter 24, and Matthew 24:13 says "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

Our English Bible makes it sound like a challenge for us to endure unto the end, like we need to do whatever it takes to endure.



But the literal translation from the Greek is, "but the one who has endured," not the one who will, but the one who has endured unto the end, this one will be saved.



In the Greek text, this is an Aorist Participle, which shows the proof of those who are saved, and it matches the rest of the teachings in the New Testament.



The person who is saved WILL endure to the end. So we have the proof, and secondly, the promise of salvation. Salvation is a promise. We are saved now. And when all this is over, the ones who will be saved are the ones who have endured unto the end.

The Words of the LORD. ( Proverbs. 30:5) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. (EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE) ( Proverbs. 30:6) Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. (ADD THOU NOT UNTO HIS WORDS) ( Jer. 23:36) Tells us "for ye have (perverted) the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God" The word (perverted) is #2015; it means to turn about or over, ((TO CHANGE)), overturn, pervert, preverse, to the contrary. Jesus tells us in ( Mt. 4:4) "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD" (God's Words are pure Words, not to be changed) We are told in many verses that we should not change the Words of the LORD. All modern versions have changed the Words of the LORD. The Nasb was completed in 1971. It was revised, or (changed) in 1977, again in 1995, and again in 2020! The Niv was completed in 1978. It was revised, or (changed) in 1984, and again in 2011! The Esv was revised, or (changed) 4 times in 2007, 2010, 2011, and in 2016! Does it sound like these modern version bibles are pure words inspired by God, unadulterated, uncontaminated, or sound doctrine? It doesn't sound like it to me either! It sounds like these modern versions which change their own words over and over are what we are warned about in ( 2 Tim. 4:3-4) and also in ( 1 Tim. 4:1) Modern versions are not Inspired by God! The words of the LORD. ( Ps. 12:6) The word (pure) is #2889; it means unadulterated, uncontaminated, clean, sound, to be pure, innocent or holy. The word (words) is #565; it means commandment, speech, something said. The word (purified) is #2212; it means to strain, extract, clarify, pour down, purge, refine. The word (seven) is #7651; it means seven times, ((to be complete)). (God's Words are purified seven (times)? A (time) in the Bible means 1 year. Purified seven (times) means purified 7 years, The King James Bible took 7 years ((to complete)) its translation) ( Ps. 12:7) The word (keep) is #8194; it means in the sense of clarifying. The word (preserve) is #5341; it means to guard, (to protect, maintain, obey) The word (ever) is #5769; it means eternity, always, for, ever (-lasting, -more, of old) In these verses God promised us He would guard, or maintain His unadulterated, uncontaminated Words for ever. Do you Believe God? I do!! If the KJB is God's preserved Word, then there should be verses somewhere in the Bible telling us how God preserved His Words forever. Right? ( 2 Peter. 1:19-21) Are those verses! He used holy men of God in v21 who (spake) as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. The word (spake) is #2980; it means preach, say, speak (after) to "lay" forth, relate in words usually in a systematic or set discourse. ( 2 Tim. 3:16) Tells us "All scripture is given by inspiration of God" The word (scripture) is #1124; it means a document, i.e. holy Writ. (The scripture that is inspired by God is sound doctrine, it is a holy document, not many documents as in many versions, but 1 translation) ( 2 Tim. 4:3-4) Tell us "For the time will come when they will not endure (sound doctrine)" What would this doctrine be that's not sound doctrine? (All modern versions are words of men, they are not inspired by God) When God preserved His Words, why would He change that. Truth matters. Blessings.

Salvation by man, or salvation by God?

(Part 6):

This is what the Bible teaches about salvation. The change in emphasis from salvation by God to salvation by man is part of the apostasy of the last days. The truth is, many today are told that they are saved because of some followed formula; but Jesus said believers would be known by their fruits, not by their human works ( Matthew 7:16).

He also said, in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but the one doing the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? And in your name did we not cast out demons? And in your name did many works of power?' And then I will confess to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, the ones working lawlessness."

Salvation by man, or salvation by God?

(Part 5):

Many scriptures were written to show believers that some among them, who professed to be Christians, were actually not saved. John wrote 1 John so those who were saved would know that they have eternal life ( 1 John 5:13). In this letter, he listed many evidences, so that salvation could be proven among genuine believers.

In 1 John 2:18-19, he writes, "Little children, it is the last hour; and according as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come; from this we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they were of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out, in order that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."

John is stating that those who are of the antichrist came out from the Christian fellowship. He teaches that the reason they chased after false doctrine and a false spirit, not staying with the fellowship of believers, is because they were never truly believers. They were never saved!

Sadly, the same is true today. There are many in our churches professing to be Christians, but who have no desire to hear or obey the truth of God's Word. Indeed, many so-called church leaders are not even teaching the Word of God from their pulpits, because they don't want to lose the numbers of people attending their services.

But the truth from God's Word still differentiates those who are truly saved from those who are just talking and acting like Christians, being devoid of the indwelling Spirit of Christ.

Salvation by man, or salvation by God?

(Part 4):

We also know from Scripture that no one can keep himself saved. John teaches, in 1 John 5:18 (as recorded in the oldest Greek manuscripts), "We know that everyone who has been born from God does not practice sin; but the one who has been born from God, God is keeping him and the evil one does not touch him."

John also states in John 10:27-29, "My sheep hear my voice and I know them; and they follow me. And I give to them eternal life; and they will never perish forever and not anyone will seize them from out of my hand. My Father who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to seize them from out of the hand of my Father."

Jude states in his doxology in verse 24, "But to the one being able to keep you without stumbling and to set you before His glory blameless in exultation."

Paul in his writings emphasized the keeping power of God's Spirit in Ephesians 1:13-14: "In whom also after having heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also, after having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance, for redemption of the possession, for the praise of His glory."

He states again in Ephesians 4:30, "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." Probably one of the most powerful Scriptures of God's keeping power is Romans 8:38-39: "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor powers, nor any thing which has come, nor things coming, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The only way a person can be saved is by a spiritual birth from God; and the only way a person can keep his salvation is through the keeping power of God.

Salvation by man, or salvation by God?

(Part 3):

Paul writes on the same subject, in Galatians 5:17, "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are opposing to one another; in order that you should not do what you want." These scriptures show that believers cannot be taken away from Christ by the flesh, because the Spirit of God is dwelling within to prevent that from happening.

Jesus Himself said, as recorded in John 6:37, "All that the Father gives to me will come to me; and the one coming to me I will never cast out." He goes on to say, in John 6:39, "And this is the will of the Father who has sent me, in order that of all which he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up in the last day."

Also, in His prayer to the Father, as recorded in John 17:11-12, Jesus said, "And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep through your own name those whom you have given to me, in order that they may be one, as we are. When I was with them in the world, I was keeping them in your name; the ones who you have given to me I kept, and none of them perished, except the son of perdition; in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled."

I emphasize the permanency of salvation because the bible teaches that God is the one who saves, and He does so from out of His mercy. According to Paul, in Ephesians 2:8, grace, faith, and salvation are gifted from God. John says, in John 1:13, believers "were born, not from blood, nor from the will of the flesh, nor from the will of man, but from God." Therefore, according to Scripture, a human being cannot save him/herself.

Salvation by man, or salvation by God?

(Part 2):

In the early Church, the requirement for salvation was the presence of God's Spirit dwelling within a person. Paul instructed, in Romans 8:9, "Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this one is not of Him." In Romans 8:14, he wrote, "For as many as are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God."

And again, in Romans 8:16, he instructs that "The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God." Also, in 2 Corinthians 13:5, Paul challenged the church at Corinth: "Examine yourselves, if you are in the faith; prove your own selves, or do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, except you are reprobates?"

John, writing in 1 John 3:24 supported this same understanding: "And in this we know that He abides in us, from the Spirit whom He has given to us." He repeats this same truth, although worded somewhat differently, in 1 John 4:13, "In this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit."

From the preceding scriptures, we see that salvation happens only when God's Spirit enters and remains in a person's spirit, thereby causing spiritual birth. Nothing in the Bible teaches that salvation is accomplished by the repetition of the Sinner's Prayer or through the performance of any other kind of human formula.

In addition to teaching that God is the sole source of salvation, the Bible also teaches that every saved person is kept by the power of God. Peter writes, in 1 Peter 1:5, that believers are, "The ones who are being kept in the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

Salvation by man, or salvation by God?

(Part 1):

Over the last 40 years or so, emphasis on the ability to save has been shifted from God to man. As a result, the permanency of salvation has been called into question, because this approach to salvation emphasizes that believing certain truths can save a person and then that same person can subsequently lose his/her salvation by disbelieving those same truths.



However, the bible clearly teaches that salvation is based solely on God's Spirit coming into the spirit of a human being; and in so doing, causing that person to become a new creation, a new person. A person's experience of regeneration by the Holy Spirit is an act of God, not of man.

Biblically, the salvation process begins with God the Father. Jesus said, in John 6:44, "No one is able to come to me, unless the Father who has sent me should draw him; and I will raise him up in the last day." In John 3:3, Jesus says, "Unless anyone should be born from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God."

Consequently, if the Father does not draw a person to Christ, that person cannot be saved. It is only after the Father has drawn someone to Christ, that the Spirit of Christ enters into the spirit of that person and a spiritual birth takes place.

These same truths are taught by the Apostles.

Paul, in Titus 3:5 wrote, "Not out of works in righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy He saved us, through washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit."

Peter said, in 1 Peter 1:3, "Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who according to his great mercy has regenerated us again into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

This is a question for those that side on the pre-tribulation rapture point of view. I am honestly asking this question, probably out of concern more than anything. What would it take, how far into the tribulation would you say the pre-tribulation rapture wasn't going to happen? Would it take: ( Mark 13)

12Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

14But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Please think on these things, because our time is short. At the least, have a marker to when you'll be willing to accept things aren't taking place like you thought, and prepare your heart and mind for what is to come. In Christ, God Bless

I'd like to share some verses I've been noticing lately during my readings in regards to once saved always saved or not. Some verses appear to support it so I see why people believe this, but is that really what it means?

John 10:28 - neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

What about followers who voluntarily left His hand?

Luke 15:4-7 - Jesus gives the parable of the lost sheep. But the sheep is still a follower. If the sheep denounced its Shepherd and left the herd to become a wolf, Jesus doesn't say He goes to rescue wolves but just the sheep in His flock. Verse 7 also adds a condition- "if" the sheep repents. People often skip that part. Maybe it's uncomfortable for some to humble themselves to genuinely repent and ask for forgiveness to God. I think this is what Jesus expects. It doesn't say the Christian can follow the world, sin as much as he wants, abort babies, use profanity, cheat, lie, steal, kill, abuse the body with drugs, and fill with lust, and not repent, not follow Jesus and be 100% fine. I see no verse saying that is all is fine if done intentionally. Seems like doing that is like spitting in Jesus's face and mocking what He did for us.

Heb 6:1 talks about repentance. Heb 6:6 says those who have "fallen away" can be brought back through repentance. If it wasn't possible for Christians to fall away then why does the Bible say that Christians can fall away? It says its a disgrace, like crucifying Jesus all over again.

Heb 5:13 says that some Christians are still living on milk like an infant and still not pursuing righteousness. Some in this forum have claimed that effort to be righteous is "bad" and apparently doing evil is good? That of course is from satan.

Heb 5:2 talks about Christians who have gone astray or "out of the way" of the path. If it were not possible to veer off the path of following Jesus then why does the Bible warn us not to do that?

Heb 4:1 warns Christians to not fall short of God's "rest".

For those Christians that do not celebrate "Easter" due to the pagan overtones, how do you celebrate the Lord's resurrection? What are some of the things you do? I know as Gentile believers we don't celebrate Passover, but since Jesus became our Passover, is it okay to celebrate Passover in a Christian way? Thoughts?

Is ( Mt 24) prophecy for today, or just for the Jews? First we look at ( Mt 24:3) The question to Jesus was "Tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be (THE SIGN) (OF THY COMING), and of the end of the world"? (THE SIGN) (OF THY COMING)? In ( Mt 24:29-31) v30 Tells us "And then shall appear (THE SIGN) of the Son of man in heaven" this verse also tells us "and they shall see the Son of man ((coming in the clouds)) of heaven with power and great glory". v30 is (THE SIGN) (OF HIS COMING) Jesus is answering their question. Now a look at ( 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17) v15 Tells us "that we which are alive and remain unto (THE COMING OF THE LORD) shall not prevent them which are asleep" v16 Tells us "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout" v17 Tells us "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air;" (This is the COMING that the disciples asked Him about in ( Mt 24:3) The #1 pre-tribulation rapture verse is very clearly connected to ( Mt 24:29-31) in many ways. ( Mt 24:30) (1) The coming of the Son of man (2) Coming in the clouds (3) ( Mt 24:31) there's a sound of a trumpet (4) There is a gathering together. Now we look at ( 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17) (1) v15 The coming of the Lord, v16 The Lord descends from heaven (2) v17 We meet the Lord in the clouds (3) v16 with the trump of God (4) v17 caught up together, a gathering. These are telling us of the same event which is Jesus Christ, (the Son of man) (coming in the clouds) to (gather together) His elect, the church. ( Mt 24:39-41) v39 Tells us "so shall also the (coming of the Son of man be)" (So shall also) So when the Son of man comes v40 Tells us "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left" The ones who are taken are those (gathered together to meet the Lord in the air, in the clouds) at His coming. ( Mt 24:29) Immediately after the tribulation! Mt.24 is prophecy for all in the Lastdays. Blessings.

Numbers Chapter 4

This chapter details how the items that together make up the tent of meeting/tabernacle are to be prepared for transport and then transported when the camp is to break and move according to the Lord's direction.

It is interesting that the items are to be covered with blue cloth and then with badger skins. I do not know what the blue cloth would indicate, but the badger skins would protect the items from rain and sun. Also, the badger skins would prevent the items from being viewed by the anyone other than the priests. All items were to be carried either with poles going through rings or suspended on poles. It does not say how the planks and curtains are to be transported. Perhaps since, they are heavy and numerous, they are divided up evenly among the men of the tribe of Merari.

Men between the ages of 30 and fifty were to do this work, most likely because they were in their prime and were strong and had the stamina to carry the items from one camp to the next. The terrain they traveled in was sometimes strenuous, going through ravines and hills and mountain passes. I wonder if they carried the items in shifts on the journey?

Also, I wonder what happened to the glory Presence of the Lord on the ark of the covenant when it was covered and transported. And also, what about the fire for the altar of sacrifice which was to be be kept burning always.

Who are those who are left? ( Mt 24:40-41) and ( Luke 17:34-36) Tell us "one shall be taken, and the other "left" ( 1 Thessalonians 1:10) Tells us "which (delivered) us from the wrath to come" The word (delivered) is #4506; it means to rush or draw (for oneself) rescue. So True Believers are (delivered) or (rescued) (saved) from the wrath to come! The True Believers are the ones taken, the ones left will face the wrath to come. ( Jn 3:36) Tells us He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life (those taken), and those who believeth not the Son the wrath of God abideth on him (those left). ( Romans 5:9) Tell us we are (saved) from wrath through him. The word (saved) is #4982; it means "safe" to save, i.e. deliver or protect. The same meaning as the word (body) in ( Luke 17:37) Which are those who are (taken) (saved) from the wrath to come, they are the (body) of Christ. ( Romans 1:18) The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteous of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. ( Col 3:6) "the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience" ( Eph 5:6) "because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience" The word (disobedience) is #543; it means to disbelieve (willfully and perversely) not believe, disobedient, obey not, unbelieving. (These unbelievers will be the ((ones left)) to face the wrath of God) As for True Believers? ( 1 Thessalonians 5:9) "For God hath not appointed (us) to wrath but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ". Believers will be (saved) (delivered) (rescued) from the wrath to come. He will receive True Believers unto Himself. The word (taken) means to receive near. ( John 14:3) Tells us "I will come again, and receive you unto myself". The ones (taken) are saved from the wrath to come! The ones (left) the wrath of God abideth on them! ( Mt 24:29-31) clearly tells us (when) this event takes place. It has the following meaning in only 5 of those 68 verses, those 5 verses are in (Lu 17:34-36) and ( Mt 24:40-41) The word (taken) is #3880; it means to receive near, i.e. associate with oneself ( in any familiar act or relation) to assume an office, receive, take (unto, with) to get hold of, to seize or remove, take (away, up). The meaning is all good, nothing bad or negative for those (taken) Now lets look at (Lu 17:37) They asked Him, Where Lord? What did they ask Jesus? He just said to them "Two men shall be in the field; the one shall BE TAKEN, and the other left. (They are saying to Him, one shall be (taken) Where Lord?) Now the word (body) in this verse is #4983; it means the body (as a sound whole) "safe" to save, i.e. deliver or protect, heal, preserve. So the (body) in this verse is "safe" saved, delivered. So this (body) is speaking of the one (taken) The word (eagle) is #105; it means an eagle (from its wind like flight) (to breathe unconsciously, respire, by analogy to blow) "air" (as naturally circumambient) air, to breathe. (Nothing bad) Now what is this (body)? ( Col 1:18) Tells us the (body) is the (church) Also ( Col 1:24) This (body) are the ones that are (taken) which means to receive near. In ( Jn 14:1-4) v3 The Words of Jesus "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, ((AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF)); that where I am, there ye may be also." Jesus receives those (taken) unto Himself. That is the (body) of Christ which shows a gathering together in (Lu 17:37) That would be the same (gathering together) of the (elect) in ( Mt 24:29-31) v30 Tells us "and they shall see the Son of man (Jesus Christ) coming in the clouds. v31 tells us "And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall (gather together) his elect" those (taken) His (body) the church.

The Bible is a constant comfort to us . Once we understand the principles of salvation , in and through Christ , we can still keep reading it , it's like food . It strengthens us and comforts us to read the words of our God and His Son . We should read it all through our lives , there is so much beauty and it's a way of feeling close to God , through His word and His word made flesh . It's full of life and love . I have to be honest , I've known the principles of salvation for many many years but that hasn't stopped me wanting to read the Bible , I need it , if I miss a day I actually feel anxious . If I'm too tired I still read it , even if only one chapter . Just because I know the principles doesn't mean I don't enjoy the rest , it's all food , spiritual food , to keep my faith strong in the tough times and times of uncertainty or temptation . Why would I want to stop being fed or feeling close to my God ? Why would you ?
