Puzzle 1
Given these timelines, how reliable is the Genesis' account of the human story? Who is the author?
How little is your faith Peter?
When he had to walk Peter sight showed him the impossible of the journey, same to us today We are like Peter with little faith.
How little is our faith when we are suppressed by poverty and inequality and we have to walk through pain and injustice?
We see the situation it's walking in the waters, We see it like Peter and we sink in deeper into poverty we Sink deeper into that inquality because we are afraid to walk afraid to stand because little is our faith that I can, God is the way, God is the life and God is the truth, even though I shall walk in the valley of death I don't fear no evil at all for I walk by faith not by sight, I see it all but I know like Daniel my God is alive by faith not by sight. How little is your faith Peter? How little is your faith?
what does these verses mean to you?
1 john 2:5-6.
but whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of god perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
this is a condition exercised by the influence of the lord being in you!!
so this is uniquely performed amongst brothern!!
john 13:34-35.
a new commandment i give unto you, that ye love one another; as i have loved you, that ye also love one another.
( by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.)
this is salvation at work!!
you shall know them by their fruit! matthew 7:13-23.
one can profess to believe in a grace based relationship with christ or even deceive themselves to believing they have a grace relationship with christ but can't display the fruit associated with what they claim to be truth.
this is not christ "in you"
however, there's the spirit of antichrist in th world.
1 john 2:18.
little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
this is why we examine ourselves.
they lack fruit!
1) they hate the brothern.
2)thet dont inwardly have what's mentioned in galatians 5:22-23.
"love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
they that are christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
contrary to fruit is;
idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:
if we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.
let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
sadly a part of eschatology that won't last a week.
god bless.
.....that good may result.
Why should the good appear in evil's form; and is it not deception if it does?
For now, I feel inclined, perhaps inspired, to continue believing God is FULL of love, thus leaving no options that He can oppose Himself by being anything other than Love. In this manner, I CAN recognize what truly is from God and what is not, lest I be confused.
God Is
Blessings to All
I would very much benefit by being capable of differentiating between the Goodness of God (Agathos in Greek, thank you Jesse) and what is not considered as His goodness, i.e. His Love, and what is not His love. Occasionally, I read the comment God is "full of Love," yet I perceive from others that in this "fullness" a combining of what does not appear to be love. It's very confusing in my ability, or inability to reason.
Apparently, God is the Cause of catastrophic events that take away the lives, and/or injure and cause pain and suffering of many, including children. Perhaps it is only some events, not all; yet how can I tell which come from God and which from the "devil". Is all sickness from God because He allowed it OR caused it, and is its purpose to teach OR to punish? Is punishment correction. Is this a part of the Agathos of God. I can comprehend our God given free will by His allowing us to choose what is harmful to us; it seems we do this quite well ourselves without needing any additional cause.
Can fear be an ally with love, when we are aware Scripture says that perfect Love casts out fear? Is wrath synonymous with love or with hate, or both? How can one be certain Who and What our Heavenly Father Is? If God is the Author of fear AND Love, then what purpose does Satan have or even need?
I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here, though I've seen that happening quite often, recently. I am sincerely attempting to understand. Please, for your own sake, not mine, don't condemn others with labeling them as unsaved, or anti-Christ, or heretical, etc., when an individual is earnestly seeking simple truth.
Paul stated that we should not do evil that good may result, and in doing so their condemnation is deserved (personally, I don't adhere to condemnation). Yet I constantly see that true principle completely overlooked AND forgotten in Christian thinking, thus projected onto God that He is capable of doing evil that .......

Mark 10:17-18
"And when He was gone forth into the way, there came one running and kneeled to Him, and asked Him, Good master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?"
And Jesus said unto him, "Why calleth thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God."
This is the story of the rich man who said he had kept the commandments since he was a child.
This verse came to mind today along with the title of my post.
It made me think about the fact that God is good all the time. He never ceases to be good.
He is even good when He allows or even brings catastrophic events upon people or punishments such as taking Israel and Judah out of the land when they would not cease to revert back again and again to idolatry. He was following through with what He promised would happen if His chosen people did not worship Him alone.
He was good when He poured His wrath for sin upon Jesus on the cross. He was good when He allowed the persecution of the church under repeated Roman emperors leading to the martyrdom of millions. He is good today, even in our hardships, sufferings, and trials.
But, His goodness extends to us in the giving of His grace and mercy; in His patience in order to bring us to Christ; in HIs providence that He supplies daily for our needs; in His protection from the many times we experience a "near miss"; in the creation of family and friendships ; and in the beauty of this natural world that we can readily enjoy firsthand and now through film and photos taken by others.
When Jesus said that God alone is good, He was attesting to His deity in a somewhat round about way. The rich man knew to come to Jesus and kneel before him in order to find eternal life, which only comes from the goodness of God.
So, today I think on this topic. I would love to hear from others how God has bestowed His goodness on one's life.
How is this possible? Is Jesus saying one of His disciples never died?
Please answer, this is hard to figure out....
Thanks
My question is If Jesus is telling us not to worry about what we will eat, why are their people without any food?
In James 1:5-8, James gives us the explanation of the prayer of faith. He ended off in Verse 4 saying wanting, or more literally, lacking in nothing. And then he says in James 1:5, but if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
The word lack is the same word as in Verse 4. Most of us have heard Verse 5 before, "if any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God," and we take that and tell others to ask God and He'll give you wisdom, as if this magical thing falls out of the sky and all of a sudden, we have wisdom. But wisdom is gained through enduring our trials by faith. And so, when James says if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, we have to be careful.
If we say, "I would really like to have God's wisdom," okay, but we're going to have to go through a lot of trials. If I had to give a personal definition of wisdom that summarizes its application in the New Testament, I would say that wisdom is seeing life as God sees life. It's like looking through His eyes!
And 1 Corinthians 2:16 plays a big role in this, in that we have been given the mind of Christ. That's the word NOUS, which means perceptive. By His Spirit, we can perceive God and His working in our circumstances. That's wisdom, seeing life as God sees life. Now how am I going to do that? By experiencing Him, and by enduring my trials and circumstances and totally trusting the Lord Jesus Christ!
James says God gives to all liberally, and He upbraids not, that is to say He will not chide you. If you lack wisdom and you ask Him, He's not going to say "Are you kidding? I'm not going to give you wisdom!"
My question is, do you believe that is true?
We have a basic exhortation as a people to be the "head" instead of the "tail" (see Deut. 28:13). As a church; we should be willing to support the brethren especially when we can see trouble coming as we see in Acts 2:45 similar to what was predicted by Agabus in Acts 11:28. Wisdom is something the Lord will give us if we ask ( James 1:5). That may apply currently to extracting finances or money from risky investments or bank accounts to have some on hand; to have emergency food supplies and a generator at hand; precious metals for trade; etc.
Our political leaders are not to be worshipped either (I am leaving names out here). There is enough at fault in both sides of the political spectrum. Whether it is possible at this point for anyone of integrity to lead our nation and for that person to win the party nomination (again no names here) is something I am not placing any bets on. Proverbs 16:18 warns us that pride comes before a fall; and certainly there is enough of that to go around. People hear what they want to hear; but those of the house of the living God will hear His voice ( John 10:27). When we hold on to this life too much; we forget that we are "seated in heavenly places" ( Eph. 2:6). That is a present state; but our future hope in glory is brought forth by natural death or martyrdom. I am convinced that we would never see the harvest of innumerable saints ( Rev. 7:9) if the 5th seal event and later killings of the Antichrist for not taking the Mark were not instituted. Apparently; "tribulum" means a threshing board using in harvest for separation purposes. Satan will be used as God's instrument to finally bring the wheat to fruition in the heat of the fires of that trial ( Rev. 3:10). As for now we should heed to the admonition of the very next verse as rewards can and will be lost for those who don't remain patient and are distracted by things of this world today. May we keep our eyes on Him.
Agape.
