  • Jack Ellington on Joshua 2 - 8 years ago
In Joshua 2: 1 Here they call Rahab a harlot! Was she a harlot or was she a business woman? Because in Joshua 2:6 it says she hid them in stalks of flax she had laid in order upon the foof of her house. So if she had flax stacked on her roof she must have been a business woman of fine linen. Was she stereotyped? Because of this?
  • A disciple on Exodus 2 - 8 years ago
Darrell; I'm sure there are some very smart old books where we can get a good and thorough answer to that question; I speculate that they were simply two names, like, 'John Smith,' or perhaps it was something in the languages? Good question! I like that Moses was still humble and respectful toward his father-in-law, and of his spirituality; receiving his guidance and wisdom in handling the people
  • Lu2677 on Acts 14 - 8 years ago
Paul and Barnabus in; Acts 14:22 "exhorting them"," through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God." To use your words; "tantrums when faced with people that want to kill you." If you buckle and wine because of what "little ol' me has to say, how will you endure til the end?
A word of "exhortation" should be received with gratitude to the Lord at least.
  • Lu2677 on Mark 1 - 8 years ago
"Burr under my saddle" Why does the scripture that I write offend you? Jesus wants people that are not offended in him.
  • Bruce on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
voice: When One is Saved. They're Washed by The Blood of The Lamb. Then The Holy Ghost moves in. He is The One who Teaches The Believer as They Study The Word. He shall teach us all things: John 14:26. Has He Tugged on Your Heart? John 6:44 / His Sheep hears his voice they won't listen to strangers: John 10:3-5 / Your voice is strange. / Is Your Name in His Book? Revelation 20:15
  • Danney Robison on Deuteronomy 22 - 8 years ago
    5
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, (9 does this mean everything from sandals, to pants, to shirt, to underwear to hat?) neither shall a man put on a woman's garment( can a man wear anything except for women's garments?} : (what is the difference between put on and wear?) for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
  • The voice - 8 years ago
If you want insight about the true interpretation of the holy scriptures, ask One with the anointing from the Holy One. The Holy One of Israel. He is I. Who is the last of the seven Sons of God who gathers the church in Christ Jesus, bears the light. The testimony of Jesus Christ and bears record of the Word of God. The first and the last, alpha omega, beginning and end. Who is He? White horse?
  • The voice on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
How did the word get out? Who disclosed the books. Who is the reader? Who received the Revelation of Jesus Christ? What is a man? God Created on the sixth day but The Lord God formed on the seventh. Then there is another Day. The eighth day? Who is he who is Ordained by God who bears the sword? The Lord of the earth?
  • A disciple on Mark 1 - 8 years ago
Lu2677; Why do got such a burr under your saddle? It seems like you just wanna be peeved at everyone, and beat 'em up over phrases and words? How about "love one another AS I HAVE LOVED YOU?" Is that really how you expect the Lord is thinking about you, and watching over you with a ruler in His hand, ready to smack you as quickly as you might not cross your T exactly right? C'mon, Brother!
  • A disciple on Deuteronomy 16 - 8 years ago
To Eric 2 mths ago; What are you arguing about? Irene is right; God gave Israel a Covenant for being His people, close to Him and above all people of the earth: but they refused and went instead after the gods of the heathen. And where is it said that God gives us His commandments with the thought that He already knows we can't keep them? And how do you think God feels about hostility to His Elect?
  • A disciple on Deuteronomy 16 - 8 years ago
To Irene (cont.); Another thing I got out of reading some of Josephus about those times; is how that the Country was filled with violence and sedition, and there were Zealot Extremists inciting revolt against "the Powers that be;" like there is today! Meanwhile in Jerusalem, the Rulers could only obsess with persecuting everything around the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Sound familiar?
  • A disciple on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
Hi Cheryl; No, not a Publisher's addition! the clean beasts were to go by sevens into the ark. So, were the "two by two's" two pairs? that would make sense for the "seven's" and for the repopulating of the earth as well. With three stories, and as large a a Battleship, its amazing to think about the greatness of what Noah did! And in the 100 years it took to build the ark, still no one repented!
  • Insight777 on Jeremiah 1 - 8 years ago
Jeremiah is a prophet of the future but Jesus said beware of Benjaminite wolves. Is the Lord God speaking through Jeremiah, the Father of Jesus? No. The true God does not plot the destruction of Judah. This Lord man "god" calls for the death of all Jews in order to rule Jerusalem and the world.
  • Richard Kumar on Luke 15 - 8 years ago
What do we know about the father and son's name etc. in Luke 15: 11-21?
  • A disciple on Genesis 18 - 8 years ago
To Marty's comment 2/2016; How does one open the Bible, and not be afraid to think and say what you said? The episode with Noah is glaringly apparent; Ham had no compunctions about looking on his father's nakedness, and no respect or fear to talk about it out loud! He was a filthy rebel in his heart, and it manifested in his descendants after him! Japheth and Shem loved and honored their father!
  • A disciple on Genesis 18 - 8 years ago
Dear Ron; I'm so sorry to read about your sickness. I will pray for you to be healed also, and for the Lord to help you with all the strength and comfort you need. There are things I think are too hard for us in this life, and we just want to be strong and feel like we were before. It may be unbelief; it may be that we have to search our hearts and give account to God; it may be we have to wait?
  • Lu2677 on Genesis 3 - 8 years ago
"read the account again"v.14 To Satan;because thou hast done this you are cursed.God started the curse in 14, continued the curse in 15."And unto the woman he said."Continued the curse in 16 "And unto Adam He said."through 19.The physical death of the body, and having knowledge of good and evil is a given, happened when they ate.Did the new covenant change the events of 14-19? NO. Still cursed
  • Dejvi Kadivnik - 8 years ago
    To Lu2677 (2):
Lake of fire is eternal habitation of devil and his angels.
At the same time, is called the 2nd death, but for whom_why? Devil, being immortal (?), is alive, it would only be his 1st, not 2nd death. However, »it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” ( Heb 10:27). So men only can experience the 2nd death, which is in the lake of fire, after the judgment.
  • Lu2677 on John 11 - 8 years ago
Bruce,You ask "where will you be in eternity?" A saved person (one that knows who God is through faith, and believing all of His word, walking in truth) will be in His Kingdom, heaven. I believe the verse you gave; you hold fast to your own opinion.I answered your questions but you did not answer mine. Yes, I need a savior;every day. I walk by faith not by sight. And yes, a saved person will know.
  • Bruce on John 11 - 8 years ago
Lu: If you don't know these things, if you're not changed, where do you think you will be in Eternity? Most of Your responses Say you read The Bible. Also that You need a Savior. Is He Tugging on Your Heart? That's what John 6:44 is saying. 2Corinthians 5:17. Read These Verses,Pray, See You in The Morning. You Will Know. Impossible Not To.
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 7 - 8 years ago
The Holy Bible used to say only two of each creature came to Noah to put on the ark,not seven. Publishers changes?Anyway, what do you think Noah went through to build the ark, in persecution for obeying God, since it had never rained on the Earth before the flood, according to the Holy Bible. The land was watered from beneath before that according to it. I doubt it was easy for his family. Courage
  • A disciple on Deuteronomy 16 - 8 years ago
Hello Irene; Haven't heard from you for a while; how are you doing? I hope you're well and in good health. I just happened to be in this Chapter this morning, and just now saw that you wrote me back about two months ago. Sorry for the lapse. Yes, continuing about the destruction of the Temple; Josephus has quite a remarkable account of the events, as he was actually there! A recommended reading:)
  • Cheryl Dawn on Genesis 4 - 8 years ago
According to the Holy Bible, if any sheds mans blood, they shall have their blood shed. Thankfully I am not one of those ever. So for God to allow Cain to have a mark on him so that others will not kill Cain is against what the Holy Bible later says as I wrote about shedding mans blood. Man as in male and female He made them. Would God go against Himself?Did someone else make Cain kill?If so who?
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 11 - 8 years ago
You said, "who listens anyway?" Matthew 11:5 "He that has ears to hear, let him hear." You said, "takes too much time, stressful" v.28 "Come unto me, all you that labour (work) and are heavy laden,(weary, tired, overwhelmed, burdened) and I will give you rest. Also, v.29 and 30. If you cannot find inspiration, excitement, hope for the lost, to work for the Lord, "Rest" is in the Sabbath.
  • A disciple on Romans 1 - 8 years ago
Insight777; Jesus NEVER denied being of the seed of David according to the flesh, and He did not come to abolish the Law, but to completely fulfill it. Read Isaiah 8:20.
  • A disciple on Ecclesiastes 1 - 8 years ago
Billy B. Yes, I think those are good points. Something more you may find interesting; when we think of Ecclesiastes as God's Spirit in Solomon preaching to His people Israel, and summoning them to the great Assembly of the Saved; of all the distractions, cares and pleasures of this life; of all the vanity and vexation of spirit; how do we consider, "What will a man give in exchange for his soul?"
  • Lu2677 on John 11 - 8 years ago
I don't see a "tug on your heart" any where in scripture. Nor is there any obligation for a walk up to the alter. And I cannot see evidence that Satan would say"not now do it later" And why do you say faith will be evident "the next day"? Why not this day?
  • Lu2677 - 8 years ago
Whoever really listens anyway? Well, you just never know who God will have come here to listen to wholesome words! And if they don't listen, why does He tell us to warn them, testify, share scripture, edify, exhort, show mercy? Why does he have them ask questions? I learned truth by listening to a wise man.
  • A disciple on Revelation 20 - 8 years ago
Dejvi Kadivnik; You have to ask yourself, Why do you set yourself to oppose and contradict the Word of God? And what do you hope will be the end of your pseudo-intellectualism and debating over perceived meanings in words? Who ever was able to stand in defiance to God, and not been made a universal show of folly and wickedness? As much as you might be puffed up in your own thoughts of superiority!
  • Lu277 on John 5 - 8 years ago
Insight777Circumicised; John 5: 5-6 Here a man was chronically ill, Jesus said to him"wilt thou be made whole?" He healed him on the Sabbath day. The Jews did not like it when Jesus healed people on the Sabbath day. Now let's continue to John 7.
