  • A disciple on Matthew 3 - 8 years ago
Hi Wayne; You're sure right! I think it would take too much time trying to run behind every one who has a mistaken notion, or strange doctrine, and get into stressful drawn out debates and strife about words; and in the end, who ever really listens anyway? "He that wins souls is wise." It is sure an art to be able to make a good connection with a soul, and help him in gaining freedom in the truth.
  • Mr. Smith on John 11 - 8 years ago
A Disciple: as a follow-up on your comment, may I ask you what Paul asked the Ephesians in Acts 19...Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? If so, how do you know you received him? And what do you mean by "when we are obedient"?
  • A disciple on Isaiah 1 - 8 years ago
"Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah." YOU ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH; but if the salt lose its saltiness, with what shall it be salted?" When the transgressors come to the full, and many Christians fail the grace and high calling of God in Christ; there's no more reason for keeping the world going.
  • A disciple on Exodus 6 - 8 years ago
I can't help it! much of the time this seems like a big room filled with people, everyone talking to himself; and when someone wants to join a conversation, he gets rebuffed "ARE YOU CORRECTING ME?" Yet the same ones are spending nearly every post of their own, correcting someone else! And so sensitive and socially maladjusted, that they cannot even hold up a civil conversation with a brother!
  • A disciple on Acts 17 - 8 years ago
"But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted.." Doesn't this sound like a certain wicked spirit at work today? It is the heathen spirit of anti-Christ in all those who have set themselves to rebel against God, reject the Lord Jesus Christ, and instead worship Satan.
  • Wendy on Numbers 24 - 8 years ago
Can someone inform me why the King James is Changing so rapidly?
  • Lu2677 on John 1 - 8 years ago
Insight7John 11-14 is talking about Christ. He most certainly was born with the Holy Spirit from the womb. You say he was not. John witnessed of the Light=Jesus. John saw the Holy Spirit descending on Christ so John would know when people believed on Christ they would receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Holy Spirit, he is God he came to earth in the flesh. Can he be separated from himself? No.
  • Lu2677 on Isaiah 3 - 8 years ago
Insight 777 You say "Jesus was not born with the Holy Spirit from the whom as John was." Definitely read John 1. Verse 33,34. John witness the Holy Spirit descend on Jesus, and stayed, (a dove) so John would see what was to come for all that believed in Jesus. Jesus is God, Jesus is the Holy Spirit, how could He be absent from himself? John says Jesus was before me. May the Lord give you wisdom.
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 24 - 8 years ago
disciple;3 days ago;"the secret things that belong to God.'Where can I find knowledge of this concept? We are not to judge the things that are doubtful,or dispute over words;I agree.
It appears that my questions are often mistaken for judgement, by many here. "We don't know all the things He has shown them."Impossible to know all. When they write untruth, and opinions, let's shed His light on it.
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 2 - 8 years ago
I guess I drop out sometimes because people don't answer questions. Some of my posts get blocked. I drop out because people don't know how to respond to the truth of God's word, what is the use to continue? I also think people forget where they were chatting, or don't care to check on responses. And we are not to dispute about doubtful things. But a simple question sometimes is just that, a ?
  • I AM on Isaiah 3 - 8 years ago
The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. What mean ye that ye beat my people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor says the Lord GOD of hosts?
  • Lu2677 on Luke 10 - 8 years ago
Edna, What is your conclusion of; (The story of the Good Samaritan, and the Lord's answer to the lawyer he was talking to) Luke 10:25 through 37? I hope to get an answer from you.
  • Anita on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
"I know it is a very clear parable of what "The Elohim Yahweh" created, when, who, where and how powerful and Almighty "He IS"! You think?
  • Insight777 on Exodus 6 - 8 years ago
Joseph called himself Lord of Egypt, lord of the land. Is he calling himself God? Lord is a term for a man not a deity. Lord can be a king or rich landowner or a husband or a respected teacher. Lord means a ruler, of people, wealth, land or knowledge it does not equal all the power of God.
  • A disciple on 2 Samuel 15 - 8 years ago
Peter; Are we supposed to think then, that when we truly repent and change, when we are really converted, and God says He forgives us and has taken away our sins and makes us new creations in Christ; that He doesn't really forgive, and He still punishes? What about the responsibility of the actual doers of the evil, i.e. his sons? Is it all on David because they are ungodly, and practice sin?
  • Jacob Ameh Sani on 1 Corinthians 12 - 8 years ago
"...a more excellent way" is love. Love typically is burdens bearing that reliefs others of their challenges. Burdens bearing is living a life that comforts and inspires others. Being the hands of Jesus Christ to your world is one of the pointers to living inspiring and comforting life. The hallmark of Christianity is the more "excellent way". What speed do you tread the more excellent way daily?
  • A disciple on Ezekiel 13 - 8 years ago
"Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?" When we are all brought before the Judgment Throne at the last day, what will we answer Him who knows us and all our ways? What will become of us by all that we have believed and said, if our doings made us other than what He commanded? And when He sent to speak to us, we shook our head?
  • A disciple on Matthew 2 - 8 years ago
About a month or so ago there were a few people trying to talk about this chapter. And as usually happens, I've noticed; one person says one thing, someone answers or corrects, and the one is offended, and gets unfriendly. Then everyone drops out of the conversation and goes to start the same thing over another passage of Scripture! What happened to "Blessed are the poor in spirit.. the meek..etc?
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 8 years ago
"Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." What must they have wrong, that with all this time for spiritual growth and preparation, they should only prove bereft of grace to stand in the day of adversity?
  • A disciple on Galatians 1 - 8 years ago
Lu2677; I'm sorry; I didn't mean any offence; and I don't think it was going "carnal." I just think it is so sad that people today ARE so super sensitive! I too have much to grow with my reactions and sensitivities; but that is not the way Jesus was, nor how He taught us to behave. Are we going to have a tantrum when we are called upon to witness for Jesus before those who seek our lives? Peace !!
  • April on 1 Samuel 24 - 8 years ago
In the bible it was stated An eye for an eye,a tooth for a tooth, but here in this story,David knew of this to be an oppurtunity to give back what Saul was dishing out,but he had a choice and he chose NOT to kill Saul,we ALL have choices to do onto others as we want done unto thy self, even if God delivered him into his hands, was this a test perhasps?and how many times have we been tested?God BlessU
  • Jacqueline mitchell on Matthew 27 - 8 years ago

  • W. Shortt on Mark 16 - 8 years ago
Could you please tell me the verse of the day for Sunday, June 4, 2017? Thank You.
  • A disciple - 8 years ago
Lu2677; Hypocritical? I don't see how someone can come up with that one! Jesus never shied away from speaking to anyone, and certainly not His enemies. He resisted the devil's temptations by speaking the Scriptures! How many times did He say to the Pharisees, "Have you not read? ...Have you never read?" I also don't understand why you think everything is an attack. Maybe too sensitive? Peace!
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 8 years ago
Lu2677; Please read what I wrote one more time. What I said was that since none of us can really express with words all that the Lord has caused ourselves to know, so we shouldn't be so ready to scrutinize another, as we definitely don't know all the Lord has shown them. This has to do with the secret things that belong to God and the areas in which we aught not to judge each other. Is that wrong?
  • I KNOW PART OF CHRIST!! on Exodus 24 - 8 years ago

  • Lu2677 on Galatians 1 - 8 years ago
A disciple;with the exception of a couple of things,i have proclaimed in the same light the things you are addressing me with. Are you correcting me or are you letting me know you have understanding in these matters? It is hard here with so little space to write,I can only hope that the verse I give will be read in the same spirit that I give them. Some verse IS the context, some need more for clarity
  • Grady on Ezekiel 13 - 8 years ago
As I read it saddens me to see Christians in great debate over nothing. If you don't look for the rapture you have made your choice. If you argue the method you have wasted your time, No you have wasted Gods time. Who sets out to waste Gods time? Gods will be done.
  • Lu2677 on Proverbs 10 - 8 years ago
Cont.from page Matt.24;A disciple, Proverbs 10:11"The mouth of a righteous man is a well (abundance) of life; but violence covers (fills) the mouth of the wicked." The wicked are those that do not have God's word in their heart. You said "we can NEVER know our own hearts."Not true, I know mine. If you do not know yours how will you know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error in you or them?
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 24 - 8 years ago
A disciple, Is it hypocritical to give verse to someone who speaks against His word, for correction? We are called to consent to wholesome words.Scripture is truth. It is possible to "know".Matt.12:34"from the heart the mouth speaks."We know what is in their heart by what comes out of their mouth.Jer.11:36,Pro.6:2, Exodus 4:13-16,V.15"put words in his mouth', Isaiah 59:21,examples if interested.
