I was wondering if anyone knew of when the passover is for this year,2017. I am trying to figure out if I wanted to participate, when is the right time to do so?Then there is the Sabbath day, which I thought is on the 6th day(Saturday), so am I sinning if I go to chirch on Sunday, because we are to rest on the 7th day?, not that worshiping God is a sin, just should it be on Sat instead of Sunday?
  • A disciple on Acts 1 - 8 years ago
Ray; I'm sorry, but you're very mistaken with that. Paul was but a single vessel among many. The Lord gave Paul great wisdom and understanding in the things before not yet revealed; but he was not singled out to be the One we now follow; as if not to any more need the rest! Are all members of the body one member? God has put all the members in the body, to need each and every one, as a whole body.
  • A disciple on John 15 - 8 years ago
"..but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you." Do you ever think about why God had His Prophets write the Bible so large? We have to understand that God DOES INDEED intend us to know all things, but He waits for us to be able to bear it. There is no need, and absolutely no allowance for guessing, if we are true and sincere His friends!
  • Bruce on James 5 - 8 years ago
Marlene: Oil is that of The Holy Spirit. The Word of God, read a few more verses it's talking about being saved. Yes, I Believe there are Miracles! I read testimonies of other Believers. But not all Believers are healed? He brings Joy to The Saved while in their affliction. Soon it will end. We all will have New Bodies,He will wipe away all tears. No more pain. Forever with No End.Revelation21
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 8 years ago
Bruce, thanks for you friendly response. If you were to take out all of the books of the Apostle Paul, Romans through Philemon, can you still find Salvation in our era? Trust me, is not a trick question. You must know that Jesus had a promise to fulfil and that is Jews. Romans through Philemon are dealing with Gentiles. Are you a Jew or Gentile? Apostle Paul is our teacher, Romans 15:16. Bless

continuing.. So what do WE most often get confronted with and accused for by Church people? For CONVICTING OF SIN, OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND OF JUDGMENT. The first thing you Will Always hear is, "Judge Not!" And that's why they changed Repent and Be Converted, to Accept Jesus and ask Him to come into your life. They follow another Jesus, and another Gospel, in order to avoid the offense of the cross.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 8 years ago
A disciple, all of the Bible is and always will be Gods Word. Romans 11:13 Paul state that he is an Apostle for the Gentiles, are you a Gentile? If we took out the books of Romans through Philemon, we would have to follow the Law in order for Salvation. You see, Jesus has chosen Paul for this dispensation of grace. Please read Romans through Philemon and find the truth. God bless you. ....
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 6 - 8 years ago
"if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?" However it got started; the idea that we aren't supposed to use our brains or the discernment of God's Spirit in us to judge; is both against reality and all knowledge of the truth. How are we supposed to otherwise know whether we have a good or bad conscience toward God or toward each other, and to resist Satan?
  • GOD AMBASSADOR on Revelation 17 - 8 years ago
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were o
  • A disciple on 1 Corinthians 5 - 8 years ago
Steve is absolutely right! It is a gross misunderstanding, to think that we aren't supposed to judge one another in matters of sin. The Law is; "You shall not hate your neighbor in your heart; but shall in any wise rebuke your neighbor, and not allow sin upon him." Wasn't it the hypocrite Pharisees' willful neglect of judging among themselves, that incurred the Lord's Woes? We must guard the Holy!
  • Marie Rose on Romans 8 - 8 years ago
My friend seems to think that since Jesus died for all of our sins that he does not have to keep the commandments, as long as he has accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior...I beg to differ...though we all slip occasionally, I believe in doing my best to keep them and live with a kind and loving heart, what say you all?
  • Bruce on 1 Corinthians 1 - 8 years ago
Ray:Apostles today are those who have been saved. We are The Light in a Dark World,The only Light. We are sent to preach The Gospel. Not sure what you mean by new, when there is no new gospel. Galatians 1:6-9. What do you mean by Paul is our Apostle today? You began with if you're looking for answers from man,let every man be a liar and let God be true
then you give instructions,What are you saying?
  • Peter A. Okebukola on Matthew 24 - 8 years ago
Here is the conclusion of what Jesus entreats: be ready at all times. Whether it be 3000 light years away or even today, we should be like the wise virgins, ready for the Lord to come, our lamps (state of salvation) all trim, well-oiled and bright. By the day, the signs of the end-times as narrated by Jesus in this chapter are getting fulfilled. Are you ready my brother? Are you ready my sister?
  • Irene123 on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Ray 321 - Where did you get the idea I said we don't have to be baptized, and etc.??
  • A disciple on Ezekiel 7 - 8 years ago
"They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goes to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof." On one level, we just can't seem to understand how most people can be so indifferent to all the terrible things unfolding in the world right now. How can they not care, and not want to know? As restraint is being taken away, the righteous is becoming the prey!
  • Irene123 on 1 Corinthians 11 - 8 years ago
Deut. 6:4 - just as an aside to all this trinity/oneness stuff - is there anywhere in the KJV Bible where LORDS, (plural) is used of God?
  • A disciple on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
Irene; WHY don't you ever let go of this notion, that the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are all one person? Whoever you're listening to, is taking you down a wrong path, into heresy! There's no part of the Scriptures that is left for us to guess at, or put our own meaning to. You might want to consider getting away from ALL so-called teachers, and read the Word for yourself for awhile. :)
  • A disciple - 8 years ago
The Apostle Paul well said, how "every man cares for his own things;" and that he couldn't find ANYONE who naturally cared for the Lord's things. Can anyone find today, any professing "Minister of the Gospel," who dares never to ask for money, in connection with his supposed ministry? What shall ever become of all the Balaams, posing as Christ's servants? Oh I can't wait for the day! No more FAKES
  • Irene123 on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
Disciple - where is it God starts describing things outside the garden? I th'ot maybe it was in ch. 3, but it's not.
  • Merlene on James 5 - 8 years ago

  • Irene123 on Hebrews 10 - 8 years ago
Wayne, I hope you know - I'm not angry with you; nor do I feel you are with me; we're just frustrated with each other. Therefore - may I ask you- do you attend church? I'm not asking what ch.; that's not my business; neither is if you attend one. So I won't be upset if you choose not to answer. God bless.
  • Ray321 on 1 Corinthians 1 - 8 years ago
Iren123 if you are looking for answers from man, let every man be a lier and let God be true. The book of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is very important because it's the new gospel that Jesus gave to Apostle Paul for us to believe for salvation today. Not all scripture is to us, are you are rightly divide the Word of truth? you will see with your own eyes that Paul is our Apostle for today. Read ....
  • Brianna vs. 31 on Jeremiah 5 - 8 years ago
This is such a powerful question. You can profess to be a Christian while living a debauched life, but will you do when the end comes and you have to be judged? What can you say to the almighty God Jehovah? I went to church while knowingly sinning? Do you really think God will accept that excuse?
  • Zeingoff on Luke 4 - 8 years ago
What struck me is that the devil recognizes who Jesus was before most of the people. He needed such a one for his service. He offered supernatural power but Jesus new his power was derived from the living God. Many have succumbed to the Devil's bargain, the foremost being in the highest office in the land. Very apocalyptic, if Revelation is to be believed. What do you think, Irene?
  • Omprakash roy on 1 John 2 - 8 years ago
Kindly clear my doubt on who has written first John, first peter to third peter in the bible because we can see that john, peter already exited in the beginning at the chapter. kindly clear my doubt so who all wrote this script?
  • A disciple on 1 John 2 - 8 years ago
"Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning." Let me put forth a question. If the Lord expected the Jews to know the Scriptures that they read every Sabbath; what makes Gentile Believers think that any of God's word from the beginning, no longer applies to THEM?
  • Jeo on Ephesians 6 - 8 years ago
So blessed with these verses. Who can beat us if we use properly the whole armor of God?
  • Irene123 on Jeremiah 2 - 8 years ago
    V. 22 - we cannot save ourselves through our own works - BEFORE we repent; THEN by faith in Jesus we do the works of salvation, i.e. witnessing, church attendance ( Heb. 10:25), love, not condemnation to our fellow man, righteous living, prayer for souls, reading His Word daily. Jas. ch. "If a man have faith and not works, can faith save him? For ye se that faith without works is dead."
  • Irene123 on Jeremiah 1 - 8 years ago
To Word, 2/6/'16 - Where did you get that earth was created millions of yrs. ago? There's nothing like that in either one of the 2 scriptures you gave.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
On 3/22/'17, I was eating toast and when I finished I licked my teeth, and - one side front one was gone. I have full dentures. I immediately th'ot of Sun. ch. and wondered, "Should I go or not?" Then I remembered again - it's not about me; it's about Him; if He wants me to go with a tooth missing I certainly will. He br'ot me back after 34 yrs; I OWE Him. Tho' I can never repay Him.
