  • Cephas on Hebrews 10 - 8 years ago
Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation? O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me for they are thine. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition that the scripture might be fulfilled. And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

"For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had." How many ever think about the many and diverse ways which God spoke to the fathers in times past?or about all the many other things Jesus did, which could be written about? or the things spoken in parables?

Would the fullness of the Gentiles, be the rapture of the
    church?
  • Elijah on Romans 9 - 8 years ago
People refer to verses 15-23 to try and excuse themselves of fault for their own sin, but ignore verse 22 where the Lord shows he is long-suffering towards those who are unbelieving and disobedient. Why then is He long-suffering? Because His Word states "Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways for why will ye die, O house of Israel?" -Ezekiel33:11 One of many verses in the Bible proving the Lord rather ALL to be saved. Nevertheless, God's patience and long-suffering towards the lost and unrepentant is not in vain if they do reject Him for He knew who would accept Him or not. If you choose to reject God's better ways for you and continue in your own... know that He has a purpose even for those who hate Him and either way He will be glorified and His will be done as it was with Pharaoh. Blessed be the King of Glory! For who can resist His just and perfect will?

Vs. 7-8; M. Henry comm.; "Babylon th'ot themselves secure ..... and Cyrus must be worn out ..... but by an unexpected stratagem, in draining of the Euphrates, he got possession of the city". I had never read before how Cyrus did this. I wonder if it was to 'cross' the dry bed or to deprive the city of water? I only read a small excerpt, not the whole thing.
  • Luke M. on Exodus 2 - 8 years ago
" Ex. 2: 5, when did it change from a basket made of reeds to a ark among the flags? Why are you changing what the KJV actually said?

This is actually the same thing the original King James says. flags is another word for reeds. Ark just means safe place to avoid extinction... similar to the ark of the covenant, and obviously Noah's Ark.
  • Irene123 on Psalms 37 - 8 years ago
Heb. 13:5 - "be content with such things as ye have, for He hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee." For Him to never leave or forsake us - we need to be 'His' in the first place. Acts 2:37-38. "what must we do"? and then Peter told them. Hebrews was written AFTER the church began - to already saved saints. Everything after Acts was to already saved saints in churches.
  • Irene123 on 1 Samuel 25 - 8 years ago
    J. Ekong - "And Samuel died with total neglect of the ark ..... in the house of Abinadab ..... "; where is this? I don't see it in this chapter.
  • Karl on Revelation 12 - 8 years ago
to Diriba, you're not alone in trying to understand Revelation, When JESUS spoke to his disciples, it was in parables. The imagery of these passages are, I believe, such a parable. The dragon, satan and his forces, manifested and opposing the LORD and his. The war in heaven mirrored on earth, the same war on earth an echo of that heavenly battle. Take strength in that, hope that helps? - karl

prophet (?) The Son of God is NOT a created being! Satan was never a son; but from the day he was created, he was found full of lies and pride and wickedness. Only the devil himself ever says that he was equal to Jesus: that's a lie, from the father of lies, who has NEVER stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Also beware! he who says Jesus has an unclean spirit, CANNOT be forgiven!
  • I AM on Matthew 6 - 8 years ago
Little children: if the wicked which are, believe that I walked not in their united states: then why do they work so hard and so wickedly and so diligently to cover up my tracks and memorials even to this very day? Why do the wicked stand at the graves of the prophets calling them Unknown while placing their wreath in the sight of men? If those soldiers of God were Unknown, then why did they delight in capturing and killing them: and how can they be Unknown when GOD has not forgotten them? And why do the soldiers always guard the tombs filled with marble when they are empty of men? With whom do they plan to fill them?

  • Nena Sullins on Exodus 2 - 8 years ago
Ex. 2: 5, when did it change from a basket made of reeds to a ark among the flags? Why are you changing what the KJV actually said? How many other verses have you changed and no one noticed ? You should be a shame to change Gods word like that . You should at least put a foot note to show what the original KJV said . I am very disappointed and will have to check now or use another site
  • Irene123 on Matthew 11 - 8 years ago
    V. 28 - Jesus is our 'sabbath' now - since Acts ch. 2. Not a 'day' - which was in the O.T. Jesus fulfilled the MORAL; not the ceremonial. Why do you think He allowed the temple and it's ceremonies to be to destroyed in 70 a.d. ..... ? Because He no longer honored those things; He no longer required them. Jesus' blood was shed for all.

Humbleone? Are you saying God lets us remove our burdens, then drag them through a hole, into heaven? To pack on again? There never has been a gate:eye of the needle. • Peter A. Okebukola on Numbers 23 - 8 years ago
We must keep remembering that "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" We must keep trusting God and believing that if we stay at the centre of His will, He will do what He says He will do in our life.

Tom 77: where are these sayings found in The Bible?
  • Irene123 on Genesis 11 - 8 years ago
" ..... people were too fast .... "; honestly! don't you know God is - omnipotent and omniscient? God CONTROLS the population; it does NOT get out of His control. My God (Jesus) is somewhat bigger and more powerful and smarter than other's 'gods' on here.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 2 - 8 years ago
The Middle East wars; yes, they are because of original sin. Because " ..... wars and fightings among you ..... "? grow out of - sin. Any bad thing (lying, stealing, fornication, wars, etc.) originate with original sin.
  • Irene123 on Genesis 1 - 8 years ago
    B. Matute - Hi, Brian; hope this finds you well. Since Jesus was with God, separately, yet one with Him - why doesn't God's word record any 'conversation' between father 'n son about creation of man ..... ? Surely Jesus said at least 'yes' or 'no' ..... ? As equals He would have had some input ..... ? Nowhere do I see 'Jesus' responding to - anything ..... ?
  • Irene123 on 1 Corinthians 11 - 8 years ago
Stephen 2 Cor. 11:29 - did you know that the trinity was begun only in 325 a.d. ..... ? and that the church of Jesus began in circa 33 a.d. ..... ? and that the very FIRST message preached in Jesus church advocated the NAME of JESUS in water baptism, and that if you truly READ it, slowly - you will see Matt. 28:19 says the same thing? " ... baptizing them in the NAME of ..... "
  • A disciple on John 10 - 8 years ago
Suzanne, ( John 10:34-36); in this part, the Jews were scandalized by the irrefutable fact before their eyes, that God was come to them in the flesh; and were completely hardened to all Jesus' wonderful works of power, and the unsearchable wisdom of His words; all which, ONLY GOD COULD DO! As to us being called gods, who have the Word of God in us; How else should we describe those in God's image?
  • Anand on Psalms 31 - 8 years ago
