Irene, what do you have against Father, Son, and Holy Ghost?
  • Breeze on Mark 9 - 8 years ago
Just read this the other day in my devotions. It's good to be encouraged. Do we believe God is willing and able? This is most certainly where I struggle, which is ironic when we call oursleves "believers." But faith can be grown if we act on what we do believe
  • Bruce on Romans 10 - 8 years ago
Verna: (No) It is appointed unto men once to die,but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27. My wife,2 sisters, aunts and uncles a lot of friends have died without Christ. I have 2 brothers, a sister, a son still living without Christ. Why do you ask? that's a hard question
  • A disciple on Luke 18 - 8 years ago
"And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken." In 31-34, is an important thing to know about growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. At one point the Lord said that they were blessed because they saw and heard and had knowledge revealed to them that wasn't given to others. But here it is withheld; why?

To confirm what Bruce was trying to tell you all; There's no such thing and never has been any so-called gate in Jerusalem! The idea of a camel passing through the eye of a needle is simply what it sounds like; and we shouldn't ACT LIKE we are so dull, not to guess what that means! How likely is it for ANYONE who has made riches and possessions and power in this world all that they are, to change?
  • A disciple on Luke 18 - 8 years ago
The world is full of injustices, and willfully misguided and ignorant men. Do we look after the things that the Lord looks after? Are we loving those whom He loves, with more than just our feelings? What do we think of ourselves compared to our neighbors when we stand praying? Do we think of the little ones as how the Lord knows them? Nothing we think of ourselves commends to God us above others.
  • A disciple - 8 years ago
"For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea." Do the heathen think that they can ever take the throne of God? and persecute the poor with impunity? Then they looked up with horror, and saw the sea crashing down upon themselves!
  • Verna Ricker on Romans 10 - 8 years ago
I am looking for an answer: If a person dies who don't know God can they be saved?
  • Bruce on Matthew 14 - 8 years ago
Jesus asked, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, that art the Christ,The Son of The living God. and Jesus answered and said unto him, blessed art thou Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood have not revealed it onto thee but My Father which is in heaven. Matthew 16:15-17
  • Brianna on Psalms 33 - 8 years ago
Vs. 21 - Just to clarify. The name being referred to is Yahweh Jehovah. In Vs. 22 you will see that it uses capital LORD. If you research why that lord is all capital, you find that the Divine Name was taken out of this Bible and replaced with LORD. When translators do this, can people apply vs. 21? Do they even know that name?
  • Irene123 - 8 years ago
Dianne J. - Ps. 1:1; where is the secret place of God?
  • A disciple on Matthew 14 - 8 years ago
Many follow the Lord Jesus for many reasons. Many of those same "followers" have almost as many ideas, who Jesus the Son of man is. But whom do you say that He is? Those same "many" were the ones whom the Lord said, "but to THEM it is not given (to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven)." Why? Why to some, and not to all? Because they do not convert! Their heart is calloused not to perceive.
  • A disciple on 2 John 1 - 8 years ago
W, "How do you put up a fight against your desires of the flesh?" What is it in a man, who considers his ways, and turns to God and repents? that he will soften and change his mind and heart, to convert and to do no more sin? This is what is meant by "holding the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;" that we don't let those things slip! Use force in your mind! Speak the Scripture!
  • Judy on Numbers 15 - 8 years ago
Sabbath law is confusing. Is it Saturday or Sunday? When God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th day, He said to keep the Sabbath holy, to rest on the Sabbath. The days of the week didn't have names then. Was a day then 24 hours? When did God say Saturday was Sabbath. He said the 7th day. What calendar did God use when he made the world? I don't want to sin, I keep Sunday as Sabbath.
  • A disciple on John 3 - 8 years ago
There seems to be some argument going on about being Born Again. Read carefully what the Lord answered Nicodemus about this: "You are the teacher of Israel, and these things you know not?" Ever since Abel, those who looked for the Promise of the Redeemer, offered sacrifices to call to remembrance in faith of that Great Sacrifice of Christ to come. Rabbinic Judaism had lost or discarded that truth.
  • The Last on Revelation 4 - 8 years ago
whtkross....where did you find the words you told me here. i been searching for 5 days. "your word are like a double edge sword, One edge will cut you and the other will heal it"??? wth is that? why would anyone cut you then heal you? i been confused for 5 days trying to make sense of this.
  • Wayne on 2 John 1 - 8 years ago
How do you put up a fight against your desires of the flesh?
  • Irene123 on 2 Timothy 4 - 8 years ago
Hi JoAnn - as to God fearing saints like Paul - I'm sure you've seen, as I have, several of them on here, and there's LOTS more out there- all around the world - baptized in Jesus name, filled with the H.G., Acts 2:38. I am assuming you are one of us ... ? If not please do not be offended toward me, as I will not be to you.
  • A disciple - 8 years ago
"Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbers it the ground?" God made us for a purpose: not to live unto ourselves, in some kind of spiritually empty animal existence. God made us in His image and likeness, we belong to God: it is entirely His right to say if we live or die. Additionally; this present world is NOT His final plan for us.
  • Stephende on Matthew 14 - 8 years ago
It raises the question between doubt and faith. But do you have faith in God, whom you haven't seen? You have faith in Jesus, who hasn't been seen for 2017 years! Jesus was sent by God. Listen, his doctrine wasn't his own but the Father who sent him. That is why God granted him Power to overcome sin. To overcome gravity. To overcome fear and doubt. Jesus was always praying to God
  • Irene123 - 9 years ago
To Disciple - If I may ask this question on here - what church do you attend? I attend an Apostolic church.
  • A disciple on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
Jedonai, You dare to say that we aren't able to keep God's commands? What God commands us to do; to love Him with all our being, and our neighbor as our selves; love out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith without hypocrisy; to not commit murder, adultery, lying, stealing, or coveting anything that is our neighbor's, and honoring our parents; Jesus said, "This do, and you shall live."
  • R.J. on 1 John 3 - 9 years ago
I Jn. 3: 20-21 Says that as a true believer, we do not sin. But we do. Maybe not intentionally but we still do. So what now?
  • A disciple - 9 years ago
Integrity is what keeps us holding strong and true through the fiery trials and temptations. We set in order and give account before the Lord because we are of the truth, and walk in a good conscience toward God and men. God gave us commandments to be holy, BECAUSE HE IS HOLY, and "How can two walk together except they be agreed?" Jesus has broken the power of sin, and given us the grace we need!
  • A disciple on Psalms 26 - 9 years ago
I read so many apologizing for David's "Anointed" words, and excusing a weak character and sinning. When the Holy Spirit "mightily filled" David from the day that Samuel anointed him in front of his brothers and his dad; how do some really think that David wasn't writing according to the kind of walk he had with God? Instead they project their own unsanctified and unconsecrated nature to everyone!
  • Irene123 on 2 Corinthians 5 - 9 years ago
Thank-you, Wm.; I began knowing the Lord through the KJV nearly 50 yrs. ago ( 75 tomorrow, 27th). At the time I knew only - there was a God, wasn't there ... ? The way one begins is usually how they end. My Pas. is led of Jesus at every service. Very occasionally the teacher/Pas. uses another interpretation. I'm sure you know the KJV was ordained of Jesus thru King James of England.
  • Jedonai on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
steve:what is the WILL of GOD?
This is the will of God. Luke 10:27. And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. Just ponder over it continually in your heart and the Holy Spirit will guide you.
  • Irene123 on Matthew 9 - 9 years ago
Why do people knit-pick on scriptures that have nothing to do with salvation ..... ?
  • Irene123 on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
disciple - I'm just curious, interested: how do you know you have the Holy Ghost ... ? Please give me scripture to prove what you say, Thanks.
  • Irene123 on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 9 years ago
To Randy on the trib./rap. - Could you tell me where or who you get your info' from on this ... ? I don't care to argue about it - I only am curious.
